Best "bowl" place I've been to in orlando. This place is actually fresh and really healthy. I went with my girlfriend and even tho there weren't many men in there, trust me fellas you'll really like it. It's set up like chipotle but they have about 8 types of meat, great veggie toppings and their cauliflower mashed potatoes are legit. As a strong advocate for all things gluten...I'm surprised how much I loved Fresh Kitchen. You have options to choose a 6 bowl, 4 bowl or kids bowl. My fiancé and I both got the 4 bowl option and it was more than enough food. In the 4 bowl you get two bases, 1 veggie, 1 protein. Everything was really "fresh"...get it? ;) but really...for my base options I had brown rice and sweat potato noodles. *side-note...I never knew sweet potato noodles were a thing and they were delicious.* for my veggie I got green beans and my protein was Tuna. (Tuna is extra which isn't stated on the menu but it was worth it to me) I also added avocado on mine...which was also an up-charge. But avocado is life so again...worth it. The sauce I got was the herb vinaigrette. I wasn't crazy about my sauce but my fiancé got the jalapeño cucumber and I LOVED that. I would get that one next time. All in all, great experience at the FK. Cool atmosphere...efficient staff...good food. Didn't hit the 5 star mark for me strictly because of the price. It's a bit pricey with all the up-charges, etc. (which I know was my choice...but still) your bowl can add up right in front of your eyes...just a heads up! lol read more

Amazing flavorful food. It's really hard to go out to eat and find something that's healthy. I was very pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to put together an amazing lunch. Each one of the choices you have are very good. It's very simple you can just make your own bowl with really fresh flavorful ingredients. I really like the fact that I could look at the menu online and build my own bowl before I came in so I could speedily go through the process. Came in before close and got dinner for my daughter. Food looks ok and she ate some of it but we came in right before close and as soon as they locked the door they turned up the music. Apparently having guests in-house is a bother. When I went to get a refill of the soda I purchased the fountain was turned off and I asked for it to be turned on I was told they were closed. So I came here on a Tuesday with my family who was in town on a whim and omgoodness! This place is so addictive. I came at the right time they just started rolling out salmon as a choice for protein. Everything is made fresh, the staff is so nice and sweet and they take good care of you, it's neat. The best part is that everything is healthy. What a much needed concept in SoDo! I have been here 3x since it opened and I have to say as much as I have enjoyed the food it hasn't been consistent. I will give it a few more months. I've ordered the chicken 2x now and both times they were a little different 1. slightly bland and 2. perfect. The same went for the mushrooms. I love all the bases, I love almond drink, and the ginger/ turmeric ( cant remember) shot drink. The agua frescas are tasty, and refreshing. This would be a great concept for the airport. The staff here tends to be a little more millennial for my liking, but they've gotta start somewhere and hopefully they snap out of their spells they seem to be in. It's not a budget lunch, but you're getting pretty healthy food. And unfortunately healthy can sometimes mean expensive. I havent walked out for less than 20$ with the two drinks. We had a girls night in with my mom and sister. This is the first time I've ordered from here . Ive seen the name of this company on indeed when they were building. I ever considered applying for management since I've been in the restaurant business for half of my life. I really enjoyed the food it was very tasty, I ordered the steak , buffalo cauliflower ( love spicy and it didn't disappoint.. it was pretty good) coconut rice , sweet potato noodles ( which I hate to say they didn't look like it I was expecting to see at least the color orange seemed odd .. I thought it would have been like zucchini noodles .. which this company should keep in mind spiraled veggies are in right now ! ) the steak was tender and very tasty just cooked medium temp. Which am fine with . Down fault was the menu online - it didn't tell what was in the sauces I really wanted the coconut Suraci But it didn't explain what was in it or what to expect I don't like real coconut but I like coconut flavor if that makes sense. The food at Fresh Kitchen is tasty, healthy, and fresh. However, it is expensive. I order only a kids meal (one base, one vegetable, one protein), and it costs over $7 with tax. I would come more often if the prices were lower. I took off one additional star for their large, plastic to go containers. EXCELLENT TOFU!! It's made to perfection. Many paces treat tofu as an after thought. Here it was firm and flavorful. A welcome thing for this vegetarian. It was fast and delicious. Absolutely disappointed. Fresh Kitchen was recommended to me by a friend. I ordered a bowl through Uber Eats and after receiving it realized they gave me 5 small pieces of chicken, did not include the steak I paid extra for, and was cold. I called and spoke to a manager who told me to refund it through Uber and gave a half-assed apology. I decided to heat the food up in the microwave and eat it just to mix it up and find a long, black hair in it. I don't have black hair. Came out to Fresh Kitchen on South Orange and OMG this is delicious. The staff was very patient with explaining the process. I ordered the coconut ginger rice with broccoli, sweet potatoes, ahi Tuna, pesto chicken, basil tomatoes, and creamy white ginger sauce! EVERYTHING was great! I also loved the Cucumber, Lemon, Ginger Fresca (would've been perfect with rum) . Don't forget to try the Cafe Moo Free beverage. As we approached the counter an associate asked if we were eating in...we responded yes. Another associate said that they weren't open for SIX minutes. I am a regular of this place and the food is so delicious but sadly service does not match. The problem is the staff is absolutely horrendous. Anytime you ask for something or a little extra they give attitude and rude responses, they are totally not accommodating. I often choose other places for lunch nearby because going here frustrates me. In addition the portions are never consistent. It's a shame because this place could be so much better. I hope management gets with the staff and changes things. Maybe when the staff is friendly and can do their job without being extremely rude I'll be back but for now I'll go elsewhere. read more

This place is a welcomed addition to the SODO area. They have a ton of healthy, gluten free, vegan, low carb, and vegetarian options. You can pick how many bases, proteins, and vegetables you want in your bowl along with what sauces you'd like to add. I typically get the "6 bowl" (two bases, two proteins, and two vegetables with one sauce) and have enough to take home for left overs. My favorites are the cauliflower, broccoli, and the teriyaki chicken. Some of the meats can be a little heavy on the seasoning (especially cumin) but that may be a personally preference of taste. The ginger and coconut sauce is amazing with the cauliflower and I really like the balsamic if I get a lettuce or kale base because it mimics a salad dressing. My friend raves about the sweet potato noodles and last time got a double order. The drinks are one of the best parts in my opinion. They have a huge variety of teas and frescas to choose from that are really good. They do have soft drinks and the sodas are said to be made with real cane sugar. Don't forget to grab a package of zucchini brownies for dessert! They are surprisingly tasty and will satisfy your sweet tooth without all the guilt of a regular brownie. read more

Wow! This place is soooo good. I work down the street and it recently opened as I would continue to drive by it. One day at work i decided to order it through Uber eats and I was surprised. It has so much flavor. I get the four bowl that comes with two bases, two proteins and two sides. The steak is a must have! It is high restaurant quality meat and everything is extremely fresh. The Parmesan broccoli is my favorite side. The spice rice is also a good base if you want something that will fill you. Pricing is moderate, it's not super cheap but the quality food is so good you'd think it'd be more expensive. They have options for everyone's diet which is very accommodating. read more

Very thankful Orlando Weekly wrote about FK! We've been there twice in a week and I've already convinced my husband to go again later this week. It's fresh, gluten free, dairy free, and everything tastes amazing. My go to is the sweet potato noodles, kale salad, mushrooms, carrots, tuna poke, baked almond chicken with the ginger sauce. We love the beverages options and the paleo desserts! It's pricey but we leave full and it's such a great concept we are happy to pay a little more for this type of food.
