The St. Pete location is far better as far as the amount of food you get, the taste of the food and the friendliness of the staff. At the S. Love the food and the atmosphere of this place. People who work there have been awesome as well in the past when ordering food but had an experience on 12/16/18 that was off putting. Card was charged for a large pick up order I made and when I went to pick it up at the specified time they agreed upon, the store was closed. Called, no one answered. So the order I made to feed 16 people, I didn't get. I find out the next day from their Facebook page that they had a company party so they closed at 4pm. No sign was put on the door, and I was not made aware or else would not have made an order to pick up for a time they were closed. Crazy. They still however, charged my card and after I called three times over the course of a day and a half still no response even after leaving messages. I finally had to contact the Waterford Lakes location where they said they would "look into it." Still nothing. I finally went up there today 12/18/18, and spoke with a manger who had no idea what I was talking about. They were in lunch rush, so she said she would call me later. Another guy calls after a couple hours and asks about the situation, I tell him, then he asks for my card info to debit it back and that was that. He then calls me back 5min later and asks me to take a screen shot of my bank account and email it to him to prove they charged me. It all was so extremely unprofessional and off putting. Not once did anyone I interact with even show they remotely cared, sympathetic or apologize for an issue that they caused. And who asks a customer to take a screen shot of their personal bank account and email it to them!!!! Crazy!!!! I think it depends on the day with how many stars I would give fresh kitchen. The first few times I went I would've 5 stars but recently they have been running out of things. The balsamic dressing is my favorite but they have been running out very early. (I also don't like that my food touches in those containers but that's a personal preference) the food is always fresh and I do like the wide variety and how they can cater to different dietary restrictions. I will continue to visit fresh kitchen but it would be nice if they posted somewhere (maybe a social media channel) if they were out of certain food choices. read more

So happy that there is a new location close to me. I have been a fan of Fresh Kitchen for a while now. As a matter of fact, before it was in Orlando, it was a must stop whenever I was in Tampa. I love the menu offers fresh and healthy options. My go to is always the same; coconut ginger rice, sweet potatoes noodles, a veggie, and steak. These flavors are like nothing I have ever tasted before and it's all for a reasonable price. As expected, my meal was perfect. The new space is very pretty and is just what the SoDo area needed. On this visit, the line was moving a little slow, but I think that's just because visitors had a lot of questions. I first tried Fresh Kitchen about a month ago and was FLOORED. My wife and I try to eat healthy and have often discussed how difficult eating out can be especially since she MUST eat gluten-free. I went with my girlfriend and even tho there weren't many men in there, trust me fellas you'll really like it. As a strong advocate for all things gluten...I'm surprised how much I loved Fresh Kitchen. You have options to choose a 6 bowl, 4 bowl or kids bowl. My fiancé and I both got the 4 bowl option and it was more than enough food. In the 4 bowl you get two bases, 1 veggie, 1 protein. Everything was really "fresh"...get it? ;) but really...for my base options I had brown rice and sweat potato noodles. *side-note...I never knew sweet potato noodles were a thing and they were delicious.* for my veggie I got green beans and my protein was Tuna. (Tuna is extra which isn't stated on the menu but it was worth it to me) I also added avocado on mine...which was also an up-charge. But avocado is life so again...worth it. The sauce I got was the herb vinaigrette. I wasn't crazy about my sauce but my fiancé got the jalapeño cucumber and I LOVED that. I would get that one next time. All in all, great experience at the FK. Cool atmosphere...efficient staff...good food. Didn't hit the 5 star mark for me strictly because of the price. So I came here on a Tuesday with my family who was in town on a whim and omgoodness! This place is so addictive. I came at the right time they just started rolling out salmon as a choice for protein. Everything is made fresh, the staff is so nice and sweet and they take good care of you, it's neat. The best part is that everything is healthy. What a much needed concept in SoDo! I have been here 3x since it opened and I have to say as much as I have enjoyed the food it hasn't been consistent. I will give it a few more months. I've ordered the chicken 2x now and both times they were a little different 1. slightly bland and 2. perfect. The same went for the mushrooms. I love all the bases, I love almond drink, and the ginger/ turmeric ( cant remember) shot drink. The agua frescas are tasty, and refreshing. This would be a great concept for the airport. The staff here tends to be a little more millennial for my liking, but they've gotta start somewhere and hopefully they snap out of their spells they seem to be in. It's not a budget lunch, but you're getting pretty healthy food. And unfortunately healthy can sometimes mean expensive. I havent walked out for less than 20$ with the two drinks. I ever considered applying for management since I've been in the restaurant business for half of my life. I thought it would have been like zucchini noodles .. which this company should keep in mind spiraled veggies are in right now ! ) the steak was tender and very tasty just cooked medium temp. This place is a welcomed addition to the SODO area. They have a ton of healthy, gluten free, vegan, low carb, and vegetarian options. You can pick how many bases, proteins, and vegetables you want in your bowl along with what sauces you'd like to add. I typically get the "6 bowl" (two bases, two proteins, and two vegetables with one sauce) and have enough to take home for left overs. My favorites are the cauliflower, broccoli, and the teriyaki chicken. Some of the meats can be a little heavy on the seasoning (especially cumin) but that may be a personally preference of taste. The ginger and coconut sauce is amazing with the cauliflower and I really like the balsamic if I get a lettuce or kale base because it mimics a salad dressing. My friend raves about the sweet potato noodles and last time got a double order. The drinks are one of the best parts in my opinion. They have a huge variety of teas and frescas to choose from that are really good. They do have soft drinks and the sodas are said to be made with real cane sugar. Don't forget to grab a package of zucchini brownies for dessert! They are surprisingly tasty and will satisfy your sweet tooth without all the guilt of a regular brownie. read more
