Came here for thw first time with my daughter and husband to celebrate her promotion at work. Our waiter Jadon made our first time experience there such a pleasant one. Jadon was so attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. If it wasn't for Jadon I dont think the establishment would of gotten 4 stars. I am used to miami and nyc fast service so this was a slower pace than usual for me. The mash potatoes were excellent the broccoli were tasty The truffle fries were a little on the salty side and lacking truffle. The drinks were great. The filet mignon was delicious the Key West snapper with grill asparagus was delectable . The beef short ribs were tasty too. As for the desserts they were okay not my favorite. The ambiance of the establishment was very romantic has a nice sexy vibe. They offer different sides to eat but we did the main inside dining area.

Went for happy to celebrate my Grand daughter birthday. The atmosphere is very welcoming. Friendly bartender and helpful. Prices are really good for happy hour. The spinach dip was very good as well as the blue crab beignets. Gave margarita is good as well as the old fashion. . Will be back Really enjoyed it.

Came here for the first time on a Friday night around 6pm and it wasn't too busy. Vibe is classy and upscale. We ordered the filet mignon and the snapper. The filet was tender and flavorful and the snapper was cooked perfectly, tasted fresh and juicy. Came again on a Thursday night at 6pm for happy hour and that was excellent value, we ordered multiple dishes and they were all great. Pro Tip: They say that you can only order from the happy hour menu if your in the lounge area or outside terrace, but if it isn't too busy they'll let you order from the happy hour menu from the main dining room. And they are also very accommodating towards children, have brought our baby along and they sat us in the back and let us bring our stroller as well. Service is outstanding, great for a date night with or without the kids.

We came to this restaurant to celebrate my husband's birthday. The hostess seemed disinterested though not overtly rude. The waitress however seemed to have it out for us from the moment we ordered water. We rarely drink but it is always a shock to see the abrupt attitude change that can bring with it - in this instance the waitress treated us as "cheap" for the rest of the evening. The restaurant was nearly empty and yet service was exceedingly slow. There were several times we struggled to get the waitresses attention. The blue crab beignets were extremely good. The truffle fries were okay but not fresh. The mash had very little flavor and was chunky which is just not our personal preference. The filet would have been fine but it was undercooked (ordered medium). We were given a bite sized dessert for the birthday but we both tried a nibble and neither of us cared for it (we do have some sweet tooths and it wasn't very sweet). The ambiance was the best part, it was very nice if a bit bright and all staff were dressed smartly. I would not return here. Their neighbor, ocean prime, blew them out of the water in both service and food.

I was here for a private event and they did a really good job. I didn't try the food until too late so the truffle fries and pork belly appetizers were room temperature at best. I heard the pizza and chicken appetizers were really good. I tried too many of the passionfruit martinis and it really knocked me for a loop. They go down too easy so be warned.

I came here for my Birthday dinner. The hostess and staff are pleasant and professional. We were seated immediately with our reservation. Note: They keep the place chilly. Bring a shawl, cardigan, something to keep warm. We have 2 servers helping each other. We order drinks and food. My first issue was instead of letting me know the drink I ordered isn't available and choosing an alternative drink, they bring me a lychee martini to see if I like it. I drink it because it's in my wheelhouse and it took long to receive it. Secondly, it actually took long to receive each course. It wasn't initially busy when we arrived but it increasingly got busier during our visit. We arrived at 5:45pm and left close to 8pm. They let us know throughout the service that they were running behind and offered champagne: a nice gesture, but we're not big drinkers. Here's what we ordered: 3 Course Prix-Fixe Menu -Brazilian Styled Conch Chowder -Fillet of Key West Yellowtail Snapper -Havana Bananas -Gold Label Creekstone Farms Wagyu NY Strip Steak *Fried Green Tomatoes *Miso Bbq Glazed Mushrooms *Blue Crab Beignets (2) *Truffle Fries The food is great! I especially enjoyed the Blue Crab Beignets, Miso Bbq Glazed Mushrooms, and the Wagyu Strip Steak. I asked for the steak medium and it seemed more on the medium well side until I got to the center. It was delicious anyway and now I know to order it medium rare. Overall a nice experience, just be aware of wait times between courses.

Celebrated our anniversary at Norman's. It was an excellent choice. Service was topnotch. Staff are all attentive and hospitable. We had the pre fixe menu. Portions were good and everything we chose was delicious. For starters, we had the conch soup and fried green tomatoes which both were a good dish to start this amazing meal. Yellow tail snapper was cooked very well and mashed potato seems to have truffle oil in it. We also had the pork Havana which the meat was tender and the sauce complimented the dish well. To end the night, we had the sorbet, carrot cake and key lime pie. For a person who is not a fan of key lime pie, this dessert was our favorite for the night. Cocktails were also tasty. Highly recommended place. You will feel very well attended at this place.

We knew we were in for a wonderful experience when we first entered Norman's. From being greeted by lovely Mia, to Taylor recommending and preparing our drinks at the bar, to Sergio's excellent service, it was a night to remember. Four of us were in town from different areas of Florida to celebrate my birthday. The restaurant is beautiful, the food was perfectly prepared and service could not have been better. We felt not only welcomed, but special. We had a Via Dellagio salad, filet mignon, blue crab beignets, yuca stuffed crispy shrimp, and a molten lava cake. Everything was absolutely delicious! In a world where restaurants are a dime a dozen, Norman's stands out in the crowd, head and shoulders above the others. We are already talking about when we will have the opportunity to head to Orlando again and go back. If you are in the area, check them out. You can thank me later!

Another remarkable meal at Norman's to celebrate my new job! We opted for several happy hour items (oysters, Tataki, pork) and drinks plus split a prix fixe 3-course and added bruschetta - lots of food and leftovers! They even split the prix fixe items and paired 1/2 glasses of wine for us! So, the photos show half of the soup and snapper along with the dessert which was one plate. Perfect weather for al fresco dining. Ladies, they even have shawls to borrow if you get chilly! John was our super fabulous server (also a bartender) and helped us with optimizing happy hour - plus we used InKind for 20% off credit for another visit.

Amazing restaurant. Highly recommend. 1. Reservation: a must. 2. Food: 5 stars Everything I had was amazing! Just get whatever is on the menu and you'll love it. (see pics) 3. Drinks: 5 stars Strong, beautifully decorated cocktails. Amazing choice of wine and their sommelier is awesome. 4. Service: professional, respectful, a bit aloof but amazing 5. Decor/ambience: Very tall ceiling, spacious, literally the opposite of claustrophobic, if anything, welcomes you to take a deep breath and relax. Mostly white decor, which is relaxing instead of dark mahogany steakhouse look and i loved it for that. Didn't see any kids, my son was the only young person here. Extremely happy to have stopped here during our annual trip to Orlando.

Dined here for the first time over the weekend. Honestly, I'm sad I didn't even know this place existed until magical dining videos. It's super elegant inside, has like a 1920s vibe. Everyone working there is nice, attentive, and helps each other to ensure you have great service. For magical dining apps we tried the fried green tomatoes and the foie gras French toast. The fried green tomatoes were cooked nicely but I didn't love the flavor. The foie gras was very good and I recommend it. For entrees I ordered the special plancha steak which was cooked perfectly and I really enjoyed the mash underneath- it was slightly sweet and yummy. My partner upgraded to the peppered steak but he said it barely had any hint of pepper, so he was disappointed in that. For desserts we tried the banana cake and the key lime pie. We were warned that the banana cake was spicy (which I don't enjoy) however this had no spice at all and was very good. The key lime pie you could tell was homemade and very tart. They were offering a bottomless $40 wine option, which my partner got and really enjoyed. I tried the peach dragonfruit cocktail (forgot the name) but it was not very good, very artificial tasting, so I ordered a glass of bubbles instead. Overall, the food was very good, the service was wonderful, and the atmosphere was very nice. We will definitely be back!

    Ask the Community - Norman's

We are going here as a work group for a meeting. Is there a dress code? Jeans or shorts ok?

Hello - our fine-dining restaurant has a Business Casual dress-code, we just ask that you do not wear sports attire or baseball caps in our dining room. Enjoy your visit.

Is the terrace covered ( in case of rain?) and is there AC and/or lots of air moving via fans?

Hello Tracey! Yes we have a covered Terrace, with fans for moving air. We just had a large party…

Anyone have an idea of their pricing?

Like any fine dining restaurant, the pricing is on the higher end. However, the excellent food, impeccable service and wonderful interior decor deserve a premium. Chef Norman is an innovator and the menu at Norman's is a prime example.

The restaurant was full of guests dressed to impress and speaking in hushed tones. All the steaks and chops around the room looked amazing with great aroma. The lighting is dim, but the large windows let in a lot of light to read menus. I recommend a table for two by the big windows overlooking the pool (and 9pm fireworks) or a comfy booth along the wall with the same view. We appreciated the perfect timing and temperature of our dishes. Our amuse bûche was a yummy ceviche packed with seafood. I would definitely order it if on the menu. The crudo appetizer was a standout dish - so fresh and flavorful, and beautifully presented. My smooth, delicious, piping hot sherry-infused lobster bisque was poured over a sizable slice of lobster, at the table. My dining partner was impressed with the delicious taste and temp of their Iberico Chop. I adored my perfectly seared and moist sea bass with fluffy gnocchi in a decadent, rich and creamy mushroom sauce (I substituted sea bass for escargot). The large, indulgent lobster mac side dish was an excellent compliment to both mains. It was flavorful with plenty of lobster; and the delicious crust on top would make amazing cheese crisps. Servers walked around with a variety of fresh, warm, yummy breads -- though 14 Prime breads in Jax taste better. The arrival of the crème brûlée flambée was reminiscent of a bananas foster presentation in NOLA. Unfortunately, the flames were the most interesting aspect of the crème brûlée. Flavor was not particularly special, and chocolate at the bottom tasted like pudding. Dessert was just 'ok' at Bull & Bear & Oscar's. Another small nitpick was the lack of black napkins for black outfits. Service was professional, yet approachable. Servers gave great recommendations without unnecessary upselling. They worked in teams, so there was always someone available to assist. Open 6-10pm daily, our reservation secured the table all night -- no rushing to turn tables over for the next guest. Some dishes include table side preparation, so prices reflect showmanship (e.g., lobster bisque poured at the table; table side César salad preparation; meat board & Dover sole table side deboning and plating; crème brûlée served in flames; strawberry ice cream created table side). We look forward to returning again and again.

The waiter took my drink order, I asked for some options for a cocktail that were off menu that he'd have to check on, then the rest of my table got their drinks 15 minutes later, and I was told what I ordered wasn't possible. Not sure why drinks took so long or why I wasn't notified sooner, as this made our pacing a little odd. I ordered a blood orange heavy cocktail off the surprisingly short menu, and it was just ok - not a mix of flavors I'd normally go for, and very punchy. The greenery sprig was a visually appealing touch though, although it was a bit heavy handed on my neighbor's drink. My salad was yummy, with an interesting addition of potato chip like curls. The red wine that was ordered for the table was one of the best red wines I've ever had, very enjoyable, and I never normally like reds. The wine selection seems vast here - the menu is a true binder - and some options go over $2k for a bottle, so even the most extravagant tastes will find something they like here. My waiter gave me the tiniest bit of attitude upon finding out I was a vegetarian. Listen, sir, I didn't pick the restaurant, I know I don't belong here - yeesh. He did inform me that a cauliflower steak option was available, which I took him up on, but it was not listed on the menu anywhere. They should really add it to be more inclusive of all types of diets - it's 2026, you need to offer an entree that isn't meat, even if you're a steak and seafood restaurant. I'm never really that impressed with a cauliflower steak from anywhere, but this was one of the most bland I've ever had. It wasn't filling and the sauce had barely any salt or flavor to it - very lackluster. The desserts were amazing - I forget what we ordered other than the Creme Brulee topped with macarons and Butter Cake (OMG! WOW!), but everything I tried was yummy. It was a pretty busy spring Thursday night when I visited, but everything seemed to take quite a while to come out. A friend was dining separately at another table, and when we bumped into each other in the bathroom while waiting for apps, we both remarked on how long it was taking for food and drinks to come out. The atmosphere was also a bit chaotic - we had to wait in a cramped, awkward entry hallway for 10 minutes past our reservation time, which was a weird way to start the dining experience- they need a better waiting area. It was also very loud in here, which is not what I'd expect for such an upscale place - I could barely hear people across the table from me. It cheapened the overall feel. The price points are certainly impressive if you're wanting to come here to impress a date or business partner. Some bits were excellent, but the entree fell short for me. If you're getting what they specialize in, you'll probably have a better experience, but you'll also be waiting quite a while. I feel like the only person I know that isn't raving about this place, and although it puts on quite the show, there's some room for improvement. I WILL be dreaming about that bread and the salad's potato curls, though....
