Yellowtail Sashimi
Ash W.

Okay, this is a very late review, but we able to get a table for Valentine's Day. We had a table in the bar area, which turned out to be great. There was live music, nice and mellow, perfect for the atmosphere. I believe our server was Skyler, I apologize if I got that wrong, but he was spot on, great service, helpful and friendly. First off we had the yellowtail sashimi and I really can't find the right words for it, so I will just say it was Amazing! I've had sashimi hundreds of times, but this had just the perfect balance of ponzu and chili peppers. I don't care for really spicy food, and this was perfectly done, just a touch of heat to wake you up, but not anything that will hurt. We are still talking about it a month later. For dinner, we had the sea bass and a filet. The sea bass was wonderful, perfectly cooked. Nice and light. The filet was expertly cooked. I can't believe it took me this long to get to Eddie V's, it will definitely not be the last time. Their seafood is top notch, and even if seafood isn't really your thing, don't worry, they have something for everyone and it's just as amazing as the seafood.

Absolutely amazing place to celebrate an anniversary. Attention to details and quality food make the experience even more special. Ambiance is gorgeous for an upscale steak house. Service was excellent and food delicious

We went for date night. Our party of 6 had a reservation for 9:30PM on Friday Night. I went to restroom when I got there and found the bathroom to be completely a mess. There was no tissue in one of the stalls. No paper towels to dry your hands. There was paper all over the sink. I told the hostess and she said someone had just told her and she was sending someone to clean it. Our server was extremely slow to take our order. The food took a long time to come. We ended up being the last ones in the restaurant. I had to ask multiple times for more sparkling water. She didn't come to check on us while waiting for the appetizers or the food. We only saw the runners who brought the food. We've been several times and the Chilean Sea Bass is my favorite dish. The plate came out hot, but my fish was cold not even room temperature. I sent it back and didnt order anything to replace it. My husband's lamb chops were cooked the right way and he enjoyed them. The crab fried rice is always consistently good. The crispy rice tuna appetizer was very good. The potstickers and lobster bisque were average. Over the years the service and food quality have declined. I am not certain I will go back any time soon.

Always a hit! Eddie Vs offers high quality food and superior service consistently! I wasn't in the mood to try anything different for our anniversary dinner so I went with this place because I knew I would not be disappointed. I applaud the level of service and food quality. We started at the bar with a few cocktails, a beautiful table with a view of the lake for our anniversary dinner and ended the night with a complimentary dessert! Everything from the cocktails, appetizers, entree and dessert was perfect! I was super excited to try the cavier appetizer for the first time. It was delicious and now an expensive treat to add to my must haves at other restaurants! The lobster tacos were exquisite and the ribeye was delicious!

I had a group dinner here recently. Eddie V's in other cities has always been good, so I was expecting to enjoy my meal. Each of us ordered some type of seafood, and everyone liked their dishes. We had a reservation and were seated quickly. The bread was fresh and hot, right out of the oven. Yum! The specialty cocktails were a little small for the price (ie glass not that full) but were very pretty and nicely composed.

Haven't been here in a while but coming back was great! We stopped coming after a very salty dinner one night but came back for our anniversary and it was just great! My husband got the 18oz New York strip and it was great. We got a side of mash is it's always good. I got the crab stuffed shrimp which I thought was good but definitely a super small portion. We were planning on getting a bananas foster cake but they brought out complementary dessert which was so nice. Not many places still do that and I think it takes the experience up a notch. All in all. This place is a classic and maintained its standard!

We've eaten at Eddie V's in multiple cities and we've never had a bad dining experience. The place is beautiful, they had a wonderful live singer that made the experience even better. We ate ourselves into a food coma, we had the crab cakes & shrimp cocktails for appetizers. We shared the Caesar salad & for our main entrée we, had the stuffed crab, shrimp, lamb chops crab, fried rice & truffle, macaroni and cheese.. The truffle macaroni and cheese I could've did without it was tasty, but it was so heavy . The Caesar salad is very different. It's not creamy. It's a very different texture, but it's really good. The stuffed crab shrimp are to die for, but the star is the lamb chops. They are so good and mouthwatering. It's just so yummy. The crab fried rice is not like your traditional fried rice is kind of buttery, but it's good. Our server Luigi Bafundi space made our meal more enjoyable with his service and this cappuccino ice cream at the end of our meal. It was so lovely. The only shortcomings were the chocolate, bitters in the old-fashioned we had. We changed out the bourbon, but we really didn't care for the bitters . I did not like the chocolate flavor, it made it so sweet. Our second round were regular old-fashioned, they were just ok we switched to the normal ones those were just OK. They were all smoked.

Wow, just wow. You would drive past this place and never know it is one if the best meat and seafood places in Orlando. Service is A+, food quality is A+, ambience is A+. Loved it and they have a happy hour, which I will do next time. Six types of Oysters, Filet, Sea Bass that melts on a fork, Lamb cooked perfectly and all drinks are great. A wonderful experience and excited to go back again. Tip: Get 5 Oysters, it comes with 3 sauces that work on multiple dishes, especially the spicy horseradish on the Filet. Thank you Joel and Nicholas for incredible service.

Stopped by Eddy V's for happy hour and had a great experience! I ordered the lamb chops, filet mignon sliders, and the BLT wedge ...everything was delicious. The $10 martini options were a nice bonus, and the service was amazing. Definitely recommend checking out their happy hour!

Birthday dessert

Now I know why my mother enjoys coming to Eddie V's for her birthday! They made her feel like a superstar! We made a same-day reservation on OpenTable and, upon seating, Kyle the GM greeted us with a champagne toast for my mom's bday - a very nice gesture! The table was also decorated with glitter and a hand written birthday card for her. There was live music playing in the bar area but it wasn't too loud in the dining room. The decor here is classy, a nice place. Our waiter very helpful and attentive and brought out some bread for the table. It seemed fresh baked with a crisp crust and soft in the middle. Our steaks were of quality and perfectly cooked to order with no fat or tendons. They finished our meal by bringing out a plate for my mom with a trio of strawberry sorbet, chocolate cookie and banana foster. It was well presented and definitely will consider a full-sized banana foster. It was fantastic! Finally a great experience at a Darden restaurant. Much better than my recent visits to Capital Grille and Ruth's Chris. I'll be adding Eddie V to my steakhouse rotation!

Filet Mignon is Amazing!!

Another great experience at this location recently. The sequence of service and every associate we interacted with was A++. Our server was Spencer as well as Diego and they were absolutely polished offering the highest service level that is unmatched. Both were very genuine and caring in their celebration of our special anniversary. I had what I normally get, the Parmesan encrusted Sole and it was a generous a portion and extremely tasty and cooked to perfection. Enough for two meals. I also had the fried rice with crab topping, the potatoes au gratin, and the macaroni with truffles. All of the sides were tasty and prized take home possessions for a second meal. My wife had the 10 ounce filet mignon and it was excellent and cooked perfectly. It was not quite as good as her last visit; but, still an 8 out of 10. She also had the asparagus as a side and the Gulf Shrimp as an opener. Eddie V.'s is an awesome, classy, and fast-paced environment, even at the early hours. If you want to escape the high demand periods, I would recommend going on the early side from 4:30 to 6. Great time and you will not be disappointed.

Flaming Bananas Foster
Jennifer M.

We had a party of 8 from work and eveyone LOVED IT! We ordered the Seafood Tower appetizer plus Calamari. We also ordered the Lobster Mashed Potatoea, Steaks and the flaming bananas foster. Absolutely Delicious! The sorbet w/ Rosemary was phenomenal. The Filet was really thick and they could cut it with a fork it was so tender. Highly recommend everything on the menu! Service was above and beyond and the ambiance is perfect for an elegant dinner or work event. We'll be back!

Sally C.

I cannot believe I've never tried the Ft. Lauderdale location back home! This spot was phenomenal! The food oh my... the steak we ordered was perfectly cooked to our desired temperature. Juice & not overly seasoned. The salmon was also tasty & their miso honey glazed (or the likes) was not overpowering. We also ordered the brussel sprouts (but wasn't a fan) & the burrata & beet salad. That was a hit! As for service it was phenomenal - they understood we were splitting the dishes so they took care of placing them on separate plates before serving the sides. Now... the live jazz music & their pick for entertainment were top notch! Hidden little local gems who can totally jam & keep the crowd engaged. Even the most uninterested parties were partying! Thank you for a great weekday business dinner turned into a really good time Eddie Vs!

Don't judge, I'm not familiar with pricing with these more upscale restaurants given that I've never been to one. What's the average price for 2 people here? My fiancée & I…

If you go for happy hour you can get away with $85.00 for the both of you that is with two drinks. For a full course meal with appetizers and dessert with alcohol about $200 for the both of you.

Do they have set dinner course menu?

Only for special events and magical dining. Everything else can be ordered as desired.

What is the best area to sit in to see the live music?

Ask for a booth in the bar area.

Is the live music back? What about the happy hour?

Yes on the live music. Excellent jazz a few eves ago. Not sure on Happy Hour, as I have not visited during that time.

Do they offer dishes for kids?

They do have a kids menu offered at the restaurant. I was unable to find one online but when I called the restaurant, they assured me kids were allowed and a kids menu was available.

I was making ok time but when I got into the lobby I knew I only had 15 minutes to spare. And there was a long line to check in. When I finally checked in I only had minutes left. I walked up the busy evening bar with little to no hope. And yet one of the busy bartenders saw me and said they had last call already, but they would get me for one. Halleluiah. However, it is quite fun, when we got there on a Saturday night, they were having a Taylor Swift look alike performance. I absolutely loved it. It turned out it was happening every hour so we were able to watch her perform twice. They also had someone selling jewelry and an artist painting, overall it is such a fun vibe. If you want a standard table, you need to make a reservation, I made a reservation like 15 minutes before and they only had outdoor seating and high tops available. We chose a high top and it was fine. They do have a kids menu so my son was able to order a cheese pizza with a side of fries and the other one ordered a chicken quesadilla with a side of fruit. On the kids menu it says cheese quesadilla but he really wanted chicken, I was surprised the chicken was a bit spicy. He ate a couple bites and then asked for his own cheese pizza after seeing his brothers. All the plates are meant to be shared so they come out whenever they're ready. My older son's cheese pizza came out immediately and then my younger son's chicken quesadilla came out after all our food had been delivered. I think this is what made him want a cheese pizza because he didn't have his own meal for majority of the time we were eating. When we finally ordered his cheese pizza it then took a long time to come out. I'm guessing it's because it's woodfired and his pizza was behind a ton of other pizzas whereas with my older son we must've ordered at a good time. My absolute favorite dish was the marinated cucumbers. It was a light and delicious. It reminds me of what I find at a Japanese restaurant. I also got the butter chicken, it was OK. I didn't find the chicken super tender so I would skip it next time. We also got the maple glazed chicken wings. I found the breading to be overly salty. I ended up taking off all of the breading and my younger son ate a ton of the chicken. I would skip it next time. We got the steak skewers, which were pretty delicious. Again didn't love it so probably would get something else next time. My husband did not like his ribs so he definitely should skip that next time. So overall, the food was OK, but my kids absolutely destroyed their pizza and I love the atmosphere, which is why I'm giving this place four stars. I see that it has great potential. If parking is a problem, I recommend parking at icon park and walking because it's about five minutes away. Our server was super nice, she was a bit slow, but she also had a giant table next to us, which could've contributed to that. I would definitely come back. I enjoyed our experience here.
