What a great spot. We went to Bar Helios for the 2nd time a few weekends ago. We had been before for the Universal evening light show at Epic. We were at the park during the day, but didn't stay for the evening. I had been looking on line at hotels to stay at and the Helios Hotel is the only hotel I know of that's directly connected to a park in Orlando. But it's very pricey. I did like the cool bar on top though and from what I saw, it seemed like an amazing spot to see the lights. I was correct. The first time we were there it was even better than I hoped. The view is amazing and the restaurant bar plays the accompanying music for the lights too. The second time we went the word still wasn't out about this great hack. We got a table right by the glass and had an incredible show. The bar itself has a great menu, and beautiful atrium setting. It's pricey, it well worth the view at night. read more

Amazing restaurant with beautiful views. I highly recommend sitting outside. Even in July when it's scorching hot, there is airflow so I did not sweat sitting outside. The main benefit of sitting outside is you have a gorgeous view of the entire park. Being that we haven't been to the park yet it allowed me to see an aerial view of all the lands. It was also quite entertaining for my kids. I was afraid that this place would be packed but at 5 PM we were the only table outside by the time we left at around 6:30 there were three other tables out there. Inside is beautiful too, but I think outside is where it's at. Our server was absolutely phenomenal. He was attentive and checked in the right amount of time. We ended up getting chicken tenders and fries for the kids to share. Pro tip is there is a kids menu. They just don't advertise it. They don't have printed kids menus, but the server was able to tell us what the options for the kids were. Off the top of my head I believe there was chicken tenders, grilled chicken, and pasta with either cream sauce or red sauce. They all came with either fries or a fruit cup. Then my husband and I got a seafood tower to share. It was a good amount of food for two people, we left absolutely stuffed. The oysters were phenomenal. I loved the tuna sashimi, and the crab was great. All in all a fantastic choice. The drinks are also delicious. I tried the feta cheese drink, which lived up to the hype. It's definitely a unique drink, but if you like feta cheese, you'll absolutely love it. My husband got an old-fashioned and enjoyed it. We were celebrating my son's birthday so he got complimentary gelato. I thought the gelato was amazing and would recommend. This place is a must go to if you were staying at the hotel. Received three, served with some awful green sauce, baby onions, and tomatoes. I finished, went to a place in the hotel, and got a ham sandwich with two waters and a Diet Coke. The service was very professional but maybe a little aloof. The food was good but for the price, we really expected it to be spectacular. It was a great one time experience but probably won't be back. Also, warning! To get parking validated and not have to pay the daily $125 fee you have to spend at least $75 per vehicle. This restaurant is by far the nicest restaurant in any theme park! You can access the rooftop restaurant and bar from either inside of Epic Universe, as a guest of the hotel or as a regular patron. The aesthetic is truly beautiful and it's a great atmosphere. The bites and drinks were delicious! I couldn't give it a full 5 stars because the service was a little lacking. I really indulged at Bar Helios, by enjoying steak, snow crab claws, and croquettas. Surprisingly, the salmon croquettes were the star! Savory flavor, with a good crips on the outside and a yummy dipping sauce that add a nice tartness. The crab claws were a bit of a let down. I find snow crab to be typically a little sweet and very flavorful! But these were a little on the bland side. The steak was a little over cooked in some pieces. Looks like it was cooked kebab style. Chimichurri was a nice herbal note, though. The view was great, my cocktail was interesting and well-balanced, the ambiance is lovely! I love the design inside. Unfortunately, my service was incredibly slow. I felt a bit forgotten about several times. I am definitely one to understand possibly being in the weeds, but at a certain point, as someone who has also been a server, you may just need to get a manager or ask for help. Still worth it just for the ambiance and a drink. But I would choose dinner elsewhere! read more

We reserved a table here via Resy, for 7:30pm on a Monday, and it wasn't too busy. We chose to sit inside due to the windier night and still had a great view of the park. The inside tables near the park side are on a platform so we could see sections of the park which is so beautiful at night with all the lights on. We arrived 5 min before our reservation and were seated right away. The inside is beautifully decorated, with a ceiling of constellations and names of I heard people who built the area. Using Google Translate was fun to see the names of the people on the ceiling. Our server Luke was attentive, quick to refill waters and provided recommendations. Our drinks and food came out quickly. They were accommodating and informative regarding allergies. For two adults with alcoholic drink each, and we ordered the mussels, duck empanadillas, grilled octopus and the beef skewer. All dishes were delicious but our favorite was the beef skewer. Mussels were great and we loved the sauce, octopus slightly overcooked but had a great char on it. Duck empanadillas also delicious. The total for 2 for all the above was $150 not including tip. Be prepared to pay for the experience and the view, but food was good but servings smaller. read more

This review is for the bar and the view. Reservations are encouraged, especially if you would like to have a "patio" table. Will get to that in a sec. We did have a reservation but, since we found some spots at the bar, and the NFL playoffs were on, we decided to sit there. It is a nice bar, with great service, and delicious drinks. The food coming out looked good too, but we did not try it. Now the drinks, we did enjoy. I started with their Mount Olympus, which is like a French 75 with lavender in it. Right up my alley. Served in a "Gatsby" martini glass, and lavender as garnish. Then I had a regular French 75, and this was one of the best I've ever had. They put the perfect amount of simple syrup to not make it too sweet, and the champagne flute was just beautiful. You can't help but feel so classy drinking it. Now, for the patio view, even if you don't get the chance to score a table there, this is the place to be to have the best view of the park at night. Mainly during their water & light show at the end of the night. We got to enjoy it all from that spot, and being a Universal property, it allows you to enjoy it with the same music the show plays to. While we stepped away from out bar seats, to view the show, our bartenders placed napkins on our waters to save our spots and protect our drinks. We really appreciated that kind of detailed service. This should be a MUST DO on everyone's list. read more

The Aphrodite is hands down the best drink on the menu and officially my all time favorite drink. The balance of flavors is perfect and it is beautifully presented. Plus, you cannot beat the view of Epic Universe! The farmers cheese is just as incredible. It is fresh, flavorful, and pairs perfectly with the drinks. It is one of those dishes that you keep thinking about long after you leave. The service is a little slow, but the staff is friendly and the overall experience is still wonderful. We were able to get our reservation day-of for later in the evening, and they were even really helpful in adding a few people on when we arrived. We had a choice of insider outside, and we chose outside. They gave us a great table along the edge overlooking the park... There was a weird railing that actually made it hard to see the park, I feel like they should have high top tables instead... But regardless, it was really nice and we were very pleasantly surprised when we got to watch the nighttime show on the water in Celestial Park, which was incredible. Although I would say five star for the vibes, service, and atmosphere, I knocked a star for the actual food and drink. Nothing was bad, per se, just weird. There was nothing that we tried that we truly enjoyed and would order again, but I appreciate it the diverse options. This bar is an experience for sure. I didn't get the typical photo of the ceiling but when I tell you Universal out did themselves with this park and hotel it's phenomenal. Will go back again! Food came out hot and fresh or chilled if a cold item. The hummus in the photos is now a go-to appetizer. I typically don't like hummus but the waiter sold me on it and it was delicious. The entire menu fits the theme of Greek. After eating there was a beautiful Ariel view of the park Epic universe right on the patio. It was only $262 to feed four, what a bargain! I'm still leaving a 5-star review because you know it's expensive when you come here. Be warned, it's "shareables" which is some millennial term for "a way to charge you more for less." I forget what we got, I just remember it was expensive and goofy, like some kind of octopus or something. We did the trendy "frozen rose" desert because we'd heard so much about it. (shrug) Whatever. I paid a lot so that we could eat expensive food, leave hungry and watch a water show where one of the circles was down for maintenance. All that being said, why bother to leave a 5-star review? The new hotel overlooking the new Universal Studio Epic Universe. The bar itself is very nice - a circular bar in the middle beneath a starry dome rooftop, and the view from the terrace overlooking the entire Epic ground is stunning - I saw the night version but I'm sure the day version would be great too. Drinks are a bit too sour at first in general but as the ice melts they become better. Food options are limited - especially in the sense that they don't have any sides to order, so for example if you order the lamb chops it would be just the meat and there's no option to add carbs to it to form a full meal. I end up just getting a couple bites and plan to get some food elsewhere. But overall with the view this will always be an iconic bar to visit if you are here for Universal Studio! read more

So we showed up 15min early for our reservation but ended up waiting 45min to be seated. We had a 7:45 reservation and started eating at 8:45 which is late already. In their defense they for some reason had all their good viewing tables closed. While we waited at the bar had amazing drinks and service and would recommend eating dinner there but I am really short so eating that high up is not good for me but in hindsight definitely should have. Daniel was our bartender and he was 10 stars!! Made me a special drink and was super attentive. Then our server (adrianna) was not nice borderline rude. Only looked at my husband never at me which was diminutive. She also never checked back about our meal. The food was good but nothing extraordinary especially for the price. My recommendation is eat at the bar as your reservation time is apparently just a suggestion. read more

What better way to experience Epic Universe than from above at night?? These views were incredible and the cherry on top of our incredible stay at Helios. I will say, the service and food here was not as great as other locations we tried on this trip, so lower your expectations a tad and give yourself plenty of time for the meal to arrive. Our server was still very kind and helpful but definitely the slowest service we got all weekend. I was underwhelmed by my crab cake too to be honest, the sauce just seemed flavorless, but you DO get a TON of crab in there and it is very tasty. Caviar on top was a nice touch. More than anything, you need to visit to experience the views of epic universe, and I highly recommend getting a reservation so that you can get a better view. read more

It is really hard to put into words how amazing this experience was. Everything we ate and drank was incredible. Their oysters were beyond fresh, just a little briny with good grassy flavor. The Ora King Salmon was something special, like an appetizer made for a king. We also had the octopus, and the pork belly. I remember dreaming about these the night after we left! The flavor is incredible, and nothing I have tasted before. Our waiter was prompt, and around when we needed him, keeping the plates coming when we ordered more. The ambience was also amazing great lighting, upscale vibe, and a perfect setting for a special night out. That said, the service was unfortunately a major letdown. Speaking of price, it is definitely on the higher end which makes the poor service even harder to overlook. If they can fix the service, this place would be elite. The elevated view gives you a full look at the entire park, and it's especially impressive around sunset. It was smooth, flavorful, and had just the right amount of kick. The sliders were excellent too -- juicy, well-seasoned, and surprisingly filling for a small plate. Incredible bar inside the Helios Hotel! This new bar is on the top floor of the Helios hotel which is right in Epic Universe. The views are spectacular and the bar is so beautiful and elegant. The tables are reserved for reservations but bar seating is first come/first serve. I've been to both the bar and the reserved table seating. Both experiences were great! They have fantastic cocktails and small plate options. My favorites so far are the trojan horse cocktail, chicken wings, and farmer's cheese. I've also tried the mezze platter and Sparta cocktail. They were both great as well! I can't wait to come back here again. It's the perfect spot to unwind with some snacks and cocktails after a park day, but I would also say it is worth it to come, even if you aren't going to Epic Universe. They validate parking, but the minimum spend is $75, so be aware of that! read more

Amaaazzinnggg bar at the top of the Helios Hotel! Wow! I went there to grab apps and a drink and everything I had was top notch. My favorite was hands down the crab cake. It was the most delicious crab cake I have ever had and topped with caviar and gold flakes. Talk about fancy! The views are obviously stunning and it's neat to see over Epic Universe while you are there. If you are into sweet drinks get the Nectar of the Gods. Super yummy and don't be turned off by the yogurt in it. It's a smooth addition. The bartenders are great and you feel well attended to. Such a fantastic space at Epic Universe! You have sweeping views of the park and the inside is just gorgeous. We came here to grab a drink and avoid rain, but also to check it out. Our bartender was very attentive and accommodating. We didn't buy any food, but the drink menu is long and diverse. We were a little bummed that we couldn't get a table despite nearly all tables being available. I believe they save the tables for guests of the hotel, so bear that in mind when trying to pop in unplanned. Also, you can enter the hotel to come up to Bar Helios without any obstacles, but to re-enter the park after being inside the hotel, you have to go through a full security check again like you do when entering the park at the front gate, and that line can get backed up a bit. Definitely factor a re-entry delay into your plans. I'm looking forward to coming back again, hopefully getting a table, and trying some of their dining options. read more

Holy smokes this is the new hot spot at any Universal/Disney bar. I couldn't believe how beautiful and awesome this spot is. Bartenders act like you are a God amongst men here. Cater to your every need. Plus the food and drinks are top tier. I did not have a reservation. I showed up at 3:50pm and the line was already long as can be. I was able to sit at the bar without a reservation. This is one of the prettiest bars you will ever lay eyes upon. Up first I had a $20 espresso martini. It was as good as Wine Bar George or Boat House. Literally a GOAT. You won't top this espresso martini anywhere in Orlando. I had a $24 old fashioned. It was very good, 1 giant ice cub like I like. And I also had a $19 Trojan Horse. It was probably the worst of the 3 drinks. Once again if you like espresso martinis go ahead and get one. As for food, I tried the $24 Crispy chicken wings. I really liked them. 9/10. Then, I tried the $26 Wagyu Beef Sliders. Also, excellent 9/10. And lastly, tried the $19 beef skewer, also excellent. Not giant portions here, but all of the food is top of the line. There are a few tv's to watch sports. However, the atmosphere here is the star. So much going on. So pretty. So many delicious drinks. Everyone should come here after EPIC Universe. Parking is $125, unless you spend $50 here then, the parking is free. I loved it here. So many great pics too. I'll be back. read more

Incredibly beautiful bar inside the Grand Helios Hotel at Universal Orlando's Epic Universe. The views were spectacular as this is a rooftop bar with both inside and outside seating. You can overlook the entire Epic Universe park. They have an extensive and creative craft cocktails menu that aligns well with the astrology/stars theme of the bar. The cocktails were definitely pricey, but that's to be expected while on property. Bartenders were great and even offered a special mocktail menu to my friend who was not drinking, along with thanking us by our last names when handing back our checks which was nice. read more
