Happy Hour Shrimp Jalea
Paul G.

Corazon just might become my new happy hour spot. The hot and cold appetizers and artisanal cocktails are half off, which is really generous for being such a fancy place. For drinks I had a Blind Date: Bacardi Añejo rum infused in cacao nibs \ orgeat syrup \ pineapple juice \ tiki bitters. It was really good. My friend had the Spicy Little Secret: Don Julio Blanco tequila \ jalapeño & dragonfruit syrup \ Cointreau \ fresh lime juice. She liked it, but preferred mine, so she had one of those for her second drink. We shared the Calamari Kung Pao and Shrimp Jalea. Both were fabulous! The calamari was cooked perfectly so it wasn't chewy. The shrimp had an amazing sauce that had just the right amount of spice to it. The staff were friendly, and the complimentary valet parking was much appreciated. I'll definitely be back to try more happy hour offerings.

Chicken Lena and Cuba libre short rib

First off the atmosphere is wonderful!!! It's so beautiful in there and you have to take an elevator to go up to the dining area. The lighting and furniture are beautiful and the centerpiece is the bar which looks amazing. I'm pretty sure the dining area over looks mangoes too. The cocktails were really tasty, each $23. For our appetizers we got the beef empanadas. They were really crispy and the beef tasted great however there were too many onions that overpowered the beef. For the entrees, I got the chicken Lena and my girlfriend got the Cuba libre short rib. The chicken was beautifully seasoned and hefty portion. It came with a small portion of potatoes which were good, and the white Alabama bbq sauce was a nice tangy flavor. My girlfriend said the short rib fell off the bone and tasted wonderful. The ribs also came with mash potatoes that were very fluffy. The service was nice and polite as well. They were attentive and even packaged our food for us.

I think this is a great restaurant for any special occasion. I came here for my anniversary and they had a flower waiting at our table with a nice card. It's small touches like this from restaurants that truly matter! The food was amazing and very fairly priced for how extravagant the restaurant is. The mango lychee martini was so delicious too -- such an interesting twist on a classic cocktail! The only con was the server who waited on us. We wouldn't see him for 15-20 min intervals. We'd be ready to order more food or drinks and he was nowhere to be found. Automatic 20% tip was included so that's probably why the wait staff isn't too concern about providing the best of service.

The decor is absolutely beautiful and definitely the service is top notch. Again I can't say enough about how knowledgeable and helpful every server was. The food is good and presentation was well done. The one dish I recommend is the slow cooked short rib. Tender and full of flavor.

I had dinner here with a colleague and we loved the food, service, and ambiance. We shared the octopus, which was tender and flavorful. I ordered the Seabass risotto as my entree and my colleague had the skirt steak. We had a taste of each other's entree and agreed both were excellent. He also ordered some mashed potatoes. We shared the Guilty Pleasure for dessert (cream puffs, ice cream, red berries, hot chocolate drizzle). It was a beautiful and sinful dessert--so delicious! I didn't want to eat too much dessert but it was so amazing that I couldn't stop. I had a Forbidden Dream as my cocktail. The ingredients included Malibu Coconut, Bacardi Añejo, simple syrup, fresh lime juice, tiki bitters, and pineapple juice. I was really impressed with how dreamy it tasted. We didn't know this, but the restaurant turned into a Latin night club after hours. We had meetings the following morning so we didn't take advantage of the free entrance to the club for diners. Maybe next time... All and all, we were very pleased with our dining experience.

First of all this spot is gorgeous! When you walk in it feels luxurious. Also who is back there making crafts cocktails. They were soooo good and very strong. Now the cocktails were about $27 apiece but they were yummy. We ordered food and it came out fast and delish! Then they are connected to Mangoes and they are a whole vibe downstairs. Talk about 2 for 1. The DJ was awesome. I will definitely be back.

Dinner at the Kali Dining Room inside of Corazon by Baires was amazing! Literally no complaints! Kali offers the same full menu as Corazon. The place is beautiful and the food was bomb! Our server was attentive and recommended amazing menu items and drinks. The live music and dancers were a plus. I will most def be back to try more of their menu items! Very lively place! Latin/asian mix fusion food... it was a cool concept but very different but cool. Service was fast and food was okay. My friends' husband saw the place on TikTok and wanted to take her here for her birthday. It was overall a fun vibe with friends.

This place is an evidence. From the moment you enter through the doors of the main entrance to taking the elevator, service, food, drinks, everything is stunning. It's an elevated experience, very classy, with dimmed lights, perfect for a special occasion. I went for my birthday and it was absolutely worth it.

In this visit.. I was not 100% impressed, noticed the menu had changed with options less aggressive of Cheff-challenging than before.. croquettes not impressive, and locked in the menu, unable to replace options. Ex. We order the Seabass it came with risotto we were unable to replace the risotto for salad or vegetable... that was Sad! Ribeye really good, Cesar salad great and the empanadas really good.. the banana foster a creative show .. and delicious The service A plus ... personalized and on point... great recommendations, Wallace and Bryan made us have a great time. Drinks good experience but extremely expensive. Great ambience to impress someone..

I was in town for the food and wine festival at Epcot and my friends and I went out to eat the night before. The property we were staying recommended this place. It was perfect for us. The restaurant has photo ops everywhere and beautifully decorated. I sat at the bar waiting on my friends. Although the drinks were pricey, they were unique in flavor and good. Once my friends arrived we were seated and proceeded to order the whole menu. lol. We started off with the Caesar salad which was soooo good. I had the short ribs and asparagus. They were well seasoned and very filling. Our waiter did an excellent job waiting our table. I would love to give a special thank you to the hostesses working that night. My friends were late because the uber driver did not speak English and there was a break down in communication. He could not figure how to find my fiends on the resort property. One of the hostess graciously took my phone and gave the uber driver directions through speaker phone. She was a life saver and my friends finally made it.

Corazón may be great for Instagram photos, but if you're looking for good food, respectful service, or any kind of value, I'd strongly suggest going elsewhere. The ambiance is stunning; it's beautifully designed and clearly aimed at being a "scene." But if you're coming for a high-end dining experience that matches the prices, you will leave disappointed. The ambiance and music are the best part of the experience, which doesn't bode well for a restaurant. I had an 8:15 PM reservation and was seated promptly, which was the only part of the night that went smoothly. From there, it was all downhill. Our server took our drink order quickly but then vanished. From there, the drinks were rarely refilled, the entrees took nearly 2 hours, and once we needed the check the server was missing, again. The salmon appetizer was quite good, mostly a salmon style crab cake, which is a fun change. From there, all of the entrees were not good and arrived cold. The service was so delayed that the server arrived with free wine, instead of food, to hold us over. Two steak entrees were severely undercooked and the short ribs were mostly fat. Honestly, skip this spot, I can name 50 other places that are much better in the nearby area.

My husband and I decided to switch things up this year and celebrate mid-day, and let me tell you... it was the most perfect, sexy little lunch date. The Valentine's lunch option was such a vibe...romantic, elevated, and intimate without feeling rushed. The drinks were flowing (as they should be ) and the service was absolutely amazing from start to finish. Attentive, warm, and on point the entire time. Now let's talk about the food...because WOW. The calamari was fried to perfection. Light, crispy, not greasy at all, and paired with the perfect dipping sauce that had just the right balance of flavor. We also truly enjoyed the Corazon Roll ,fresh, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. To top it all off, we ended our date with chocolate-covered Dubai strawberries and complimentary champagne on the house. Such a classy and thoughtful touch that made the whole experience feel even more special. I will always rave about this place...the beautiful atmosphere, the incredible service, and the consistently delicious food. Corazon by Baires never misses. Highly recommend for date night... or date lunch

We absolutely loved our Cuban sammies which came on thick and sweet bread. My kids kept it simple with tenders and fries and also enjoyed! They have a big drink selection and you can find everything from juices to fresh cocktails. The biggest hit was their large indoor screened patio - perfect for my kids to run around. If you want to avoid fast food but also don't feel like taking your kids to a proper sit down restaurant than this is a really great option.

With that said, the food was excellent and there's a ton to choose from - it's easy to get overwhelmed, but the thing I enjoyed the most was the service and how sweet our server was (I forgot her name, but she was always so sweet and patient with our family). There were tons of folks eating mofongo so I'm sure that's a fan favorite here. We tried a few appetizers, juices, rice and beans, and shared a large platter that had multiple options for the family since it was our first visit and we didn't know what to try first. The tostones rellenos de churrasco (skirt steak stuffed fried green plantains) were delicious and come with five little cups and a dipping sauce that I'm pretty sure was mayo/ketchup. They also put a little PR flag on top which my kids enjoyed playing with. This ended up being my main meal because I wasn't that hungry, and it was the perfect bite of crispy, salty, and creamy with the dipping sauce. We also tried another appetizer that I didn't try, alcapurria de carne, which comes with two rolls cut in half (husband enjoyed it) and the Assorted Pal Campo which comes with chicharon, fried yuca, chicharron de pollo, tostones, fried cheese topped with a sweet guava sauce (that my daughter was not a huge fan of - I would ask for it on the side next time), and sausage. Definitely a heavy meal - and I felt like I needed to eat salad for the next two days straight after this meal - but it was tasty. Next time I'll ask for a side of cucumbers or something to break up all of the fried elements, or order something that comes with slaw/veggies.

Ambiance was perfect - our corner table was the perfect place for us to catch up and have our own space in this vivrant restaurant. I was immediately drawn in by the music and the LED lights. We started off with a round of sangria, which is always a great way to kick off. We also got a basket of bread and mango butter, which was both unique and really good. The table shared a Plato Cha Cha Cha. I couldn't tell what was what, but I remember the croquetas being super delicious! Definitely worth it on a hungry stomach. I ordered the Ropa Vieja for my entree. It was very good (especially the plantains/maduros), but I was already very full and probably should have ordered something lighter in hindsight. The highlight of the night was definitely dessert. It was my aunt's birthday, and they greeted her with a huge bowl of ice cream and a show. I won't spoil it, but if you have a birthday, Cuba Libre will definitely make you feel celebrated. Their service is great and fast, but more importantly their food is mouth watering good. It always leaves me with a craving to come back and a full stomach ready to tackle the rest of my workday. My favorites have consisted of a Cuban sandwich which is full of pork and sauce and toasted nicely. It also does not fall apart when eating which is a plus when you are trying to stay looking presentable. Their pork is amazingly juicy and just falls apart in your mouth and has been worth every stain I have accidentally caused on my dress shirts. The white rice is fluffy and simple and good but their yellow rice is much better with many items. Their chicharron de cerdo is crispy and breaks easy and it's never been hard or chewy. Their ropa vieja is also delicious and I can't help but devour the entire plate. The rice and beans paired real good with this! My favorite sides have been the avocado salad and their macaroni salad! Both very light and balanced well with light citrus flavors in the avocado salad. I'll keep coming back here because the food honestly reminds me of so many great dishes my family use to make at home and after eating at so many places around Orlando I had yet to find a better place to get Spanish food like this!

The empanada came LOADED with shredded beef and this empanada didn't skimp out on quality. It tastes so good when you dip it with the green sauce and it was chef's kiss. I think this is the best empanada I ever had and when I tried other empanada, it doesn't even compare to this. I ordered another dish but I forgot the name and it's soo good. I was a little disappointed because the menu said pick 3 sides and I chose all beef. Alfredo didn't mention to me that there would be an additional charge for the beef. As a result, I had to pay an additional $10 which was very pricey and didn't find out until I received my bill and saw the charge. I didn't make any complaints because the employees seem not to speak English well and it's hard to be a foreigner trying to adapt to the culture and the language. But this is soo good and I can see why the reviews on yelp are all stellar.

Cons- There is ALWAYS a weird perm smell when you go. It literally smells like someone is perming their hair, so not good. Another con is sometimes it takes long to get your food. And last but not least, I think their prices are not reasonable lately. Some of the prices do not match their menu, not sure when they raised their prices but I have never ever heard of a patacon costing almost $26 anywhere, and I frequent a lot of Venezuelan spots. Their name went from Q'Kenan restaurant to Q'Kenan Steakhouse so maybe now they just raised all the prices, I don't know. Their most expensive patacon on the menu is the one with Picańha and it says $17...yet I got charged 25.90. Regardless of how good something is, there shouldn't be a $9 difference from what is on the menu. That is absurd. On my last trip- $43 for an empanada, tequeńos and a patacon just doesn't sound right for Venezuelan food, and I come from living in Miami where restaurants are supposed to be more expensive. Add a tip and you're paying over $50 for street food. That's wild.
