The soup was great! It's the only soup that lifts me up! I would say the rest of the dishes are pretty much too overpriced. The service was excellent with no issues. The restaurant could use a bit of a renovation. I seen some tiles in the entrance that are broken on the side of where the hostess is standing at.
I've gone to this restaurant for every visit to Orlando. They serve great food, they come in big portions and are reasonably priced. It's great for big groups. Families or friends can enjoy a good meal with a good range of drinks.
This was my first time visiting this restaurant. As a Colombian, I was excited to try the dishes and see how authentic the flavors were. I was immediately impressed by how they present their menu, it's displayed on a tablet with photos of each item, which makes choosing much easier. I ordered from their specials menu and chose the sautéed steak with a side of rice and beans. It was delicious. I also tried a drink called the Guaro Mule, which was new for me and definitely worth trying. The portions are generous one plate can easily feed two people. It is a bit on the pricier side, but the quality and portion size make it worth it. Overall, I had a great experience and would recommend this restaurant.
Peruvian Whole roasted chicken is finger licken good. The Shrimp Chaufa (fried rice) was seasoned perfectly. The added sweet plantain was a nice pop of sweet to savory. The Fries were an after thought, Ive had better. The white sauce needs to be bottle the green was good but long kick of spice. overall the service was amazing. Ambience LOUD. It's traditional to enjoy your food over music playing in the back reminds us of the old days. So it's a matter of taste overall I'm coming back.
I don't think I've ever been to a Peruvian restaurant but this was the best first impression of one! All the food was delicious, and my friend and I split the sampler platter. It was enough food to make a meal while also having leftovers that night. The platter comes with two different sausages, a hotdog like one and a chorizo one, fried mashed plantain, steak, potatoes, fried yuca, cassava, and chicharron. SUPER yummy, and definitely recommend if you want to try a bit of everything. They also gave us a garlic sauce and a spicy green sauce and both paired well with the food. I also tasted some of my friend's chicken and it was seasoned well! The service was fast, and we got our food without having to wait super long. And it was cool because the menus were on iPads and I've never seen that before! Would definitely come again next time I am in Orlando.
This place has changed. It is NOT it. I found a roach in my soup. A ROACH! I've never been back, never will.
Now that magical dining has ended, I was looking for a more reasonable priced restaurant for the weekend. I found that Marriott was offering 8 points per dollar promotion this month, and found out that this restaurant was participating in their program. So I made i reservation on a Saturday evening. When I arrived, there was no wait and I was seated in a table next to the bar. I took the suggested strawberry mojito (16 dollars) for the drink. I also ordered the half rotisserie chicken with sweet plantains (21 dollars) for my dinner. It did that a little time to get my drink. But it looked nice and pretty when it arrived. I was able to taste the rum, and the drink was sweet from the strawberries, but it could have been stronger for 16 dollars. However, even before I could take a picture of my drink, my chicken also arrived. The dark meat portion of the chicken was nice and moist. I did have to take out some bones, but it was worth the effort. I enjoyed the roasted flavor from the rotisserie oven, and the skin was enjoyable too. The larger part had white meat chicken, which was a little dry, but still enjoyable. I enjoyed it with the garlic and spicy sauce that were given as sides. The fried plantains were sweet, and the rice was also good. The meal was very filling that I was stuffed the rest of the night after eating everything. That was a great value. My server was helpful and fast! I was in and out within an hour. The atmosphere looked casual and social. While I didn't see many patrons, the ones who were there were pretty social, so I didn't feel lonely eating alone. The music seemed to sound mariachi and salsa mixed in, which was nice for a Latin restaurant. Parking wasn't difficult at all directly at their restaurant. I am quite happy to visit Pio Pio after the magical dining promotion has ended. For the price paid for the chicken, it was a great deal. I wish they told me that the fruit favoring was a 2 dollars surcharge for the mojito, and it was much stronger, but it was still decent. I will definitely come back for their food, and next time try one of their fruit juices as well. Overall: A-
Excellent food and very economical prices. Very friendly staff as well. Love that their menu is on an I-pad.
Excited about this fusion, Peruvian/ Colombia and wow it didn't disappoint. We started with the Guacamole mixed w/ fried pork inside served with tostones and wow! So tasty I had a glass of the house rose which was ok a little sweeter than I like. My main was the Peruvian ceviche it was a very large size which was great just needed a little more juice But it was very tasty. My partner had the Chaufa mixed rice & he loved it and also had left overs. The portion sizes are amazing and the atmosphere was fun and inviting. Only downfall is the parking is limited in the main parking area, but they allow you to use the hotel behind the restaurant parking lot.. don't park at 7'11 you will get towed ..
This Latin restaurant is a hidden gem amongst all the tourists trendy places! Are You seeking a tasty and authentic Colombian and Peruvian fusion for your absolutely divine experience! Every dish bursts with tasty, delicious flavors that feel both comforting and exciting. The attention to detail, the freshness of the ingredients, and the vibrant presentation make this place truly one of a kind. From the first bite to the last, the entire experience is unforgettable! Enjoy
We liked all the food we had at Pio Pio. We ordered beef empanada, pork wings, Spanish sausage, sirloin steak, pork shank, flan, and their famous rotisserie chicken. They were all delicious and my personal favorite was sirloin steak. But you will not go wrong with anything on the menu
Still as good as I remember. Great food, friendly service, great atmosphere. Try it if you haven't. Their tropical fruit juices are good. I tried soursop for the first time (you can get with water or with milk...recommend milk) and it's a unique flavor I'd never had before.

Wow I just confirmed that Pio Pio is one of my favorite restaurants ever not just in Florida. I started with a beef empanada then I had the Snapper filled with a side of tomato yuca, salad and plantains. Here is the breakdown: Beef empanada: 10/10 Yuca with red sauce: 10/10 Snapper filet: 10/10 Salad: 10/10 Plantains: 8/10 And then come dessert, just when you think you have no room, my stomach gladly pushed some organs aside and let me indulge. Best flan EVER! Thanks to Danny for the attentive service. He is the best! read more

I requested a garlic sauce, sometimes referred to as mojo sauce. I described it as a tangy garlic sauce with a lighter, more liquid consistency. What was brought to the table appeared to be sautéed onions with garlic. I politely explained that this wasn't what I was expecting and that I had anticipated a sauce with a thinner consistency. At that point, the server's tone became noticeably confrontational and he insisted that what had been served was the sauce I was describing. The interaction became uncomfortable, and the server continued to give us what felt like dirty looks for the remainder of our visit. The situation left us feeling unwelcome and ultimately made us want to leave. I've included a photo so others can decide for themselves whether what was served matches the description of a garlic/mojo sauce. read more

Excellent quality, tasty food, at decent prices with great service. I've been here twice now and am definitely looking forward to future visits. They have a great happy hour, and the restaurant has a relaxing, modern atmosphere. Definitely try one of their empanadas as an appetizer, as they are well worth it. I've also had their skirt steak and the Chaufa Mixed Rice. They also have many refreshing, appetizing cocktails. read more

We recently visited Pio Pio near International Drive for a lunch disappoint! We've heard great things about this Colombian-Peruvian fusion spot. The service from Luis Gabriel was top-notch--friendly and attentive. Ambiance was very family friendly. The food was flavorful and delicious. I couldn't decide between the ceviche or bandeja paisa, Their garlic house sauce is amazing, and we finished our meal with some of the best flan. Pio Pio is definitely going on our list of must-visit Latin spots in Central Florida. Great food, great prices. read more
If you're going to eat around this area. This is definitely a must stop by. We have a Pio Pio on NYC, and I use to praise how amazing it was. Sadly they lost their touch, but NOT here! The service, the food, the atmosphere. It hits all the spots in every which way you can think of. We started with the Tostones with Guac and topped off with Chicharon. Let me tell you. This was a game changer. It's like you expect to have this every time now and all the time. Guac was smooth, the tostones was fried perfectly. Not one dry banana topped off with chicharon. COME ON NOW! What else do you need!? Our main was the Bandeja paisa with the skirt steak added. Trust me you want the skirt steak! Perfectly medium rare topped with everything else you know is going to be amazing. This was a feast for a king! Our waiter was even nice enough to let us order a quarter of the rotisserie chicken and that green sauce! and the white!? which i never had, WHICH was amazing! If you going to bring a date. This is the spot! If it's just a bunch of your Broski's or ladies' night THIS IS THE SPOT. It's been a while since I praised on a restaurant this good. Management, chef, waiters, bartenders, they work well, and they show it. This place is a definitely come back. read more
Pio Pio is absolutely to die for. I felt like I was visiting 2 countries at the same time, Colombia & Peru! This place packs flavor on flavor. Beginning with their Colombian Yellow Potatoes, I personally have never had better Yellow Potatoes. Pio Pio has got everyone beat. They also paid respect to Peru with their Pisco Sour but also had a creative take on the Moscow Mule but with a Colombian twist with ingredients of Elderflower and Aguardiente. The girlfriend was satisfied. Now to the appetizers. We ordered Chorizo that sat on top of fresh guacamole surrounded by plantain chips but at its base, green plantains. It was off the charts! Onto the main entrees, it was delicious, if only we could choose every from their menu which by the way in tablet form. The staff gives you a tablet where their menu is brightly lit at your face, swipe and tap, and you are about to induldge in Peruvian-Colombian ambiance heaven. The dessert menu was also amazing, we couldnt just order just one. The girlfriend had Creme Brulee & I had Tres Leches. It was literally to die for. I most definitely will come back here again. read more
This is now one of my husband's favorite restaurants. The calamari in a marinara sauce with fried plantains was an appetizer that I ordered for my meal. It was so delicious and I had plenty leftover to take home. My husband also took home more than half of his food. The steak that came with his meal was extremely thin, like under half an inch. The egg on top of the steak was more cooked than we would like it. The beans were his favorite. We were eating it like a soup before we could ask the waiter what it was. He said we were supposed to mix it with the rice. It was definitely good on its own. The deep fried pork skin and the sausage he really liked. The corn cake was pretty bland. The green and white sauces made everything better. They even gave us a few containers to go with our leftovers. This restaurant is conveniently located near Universal. We will be back. read more

Pio Pio Restaurant was exactly what our family needed during our Orlando getaway. We came down to escape the cold and were craving bold, tropical flavors--and this place delivered. After a long day at Epic Universe at Universal, it was the perfect stop, only a quick 5-minute drive away. The location was great, the food was excellent, and the service was truly 10/10. Our waitress was phenomenal, and the entire staff went above and beyond to make sure our family of five was well taken care of--from constant drink refills to clearing and cleaning the table without us ever needing to ask. The highlight for me was the chicken soup. It genuinely tasted like how my grandma makes it back in Puerto Rico--comforting, flavorful, and made with love. That alone brought me right back home. If you're looking for amazing food, outstanding service, and a place that treats your family like family, this is it. We'll absolutely be back. read more

Fabulous!! This is my first time at Pio Pio and I was truly impressed. I ordered the skit steak medium. It was tender and juicy, flavorful cooked to perfection. Served on an Criss crossed wooden platter, and accompanied by fried plantains and tostones. With rice and creamy beans, a delicious meal. Generous portion. The ambiance is hip, Latin and fun. Definitely a nice spot to bring a date. I'll be back!! read more
This restaurant has been on my list of place to visit for a while and it did not disappoint! Their parking lot is very small so it was a bit of a struggle, but the service was great and notably a lot of the staff members have been a part of pio pio for a long time, which is always a plus! Our waitress kindly answered all our questions and was knowledgeable about the menu. Their cassava is very tasty and I would definitely go back for more! Their green sauce is also sooo delicious I added it to everything I ate. Will definitely be coming back! read more

After a fun family outing we all decided to have Peruvian food for dinner. Pio Pio was close and headed to the restaurant. The parking lot was full when we arrived, but was able to find street parking. Our party of 15 people (a mix of adults and kids) was taken care of by the wonderful staff. It was a busy evening at the restaurant. The wait time for a time for a table was decent. Once seated our drink orders were taken. I browsed through their bountiful menu. The lomo saltado caught my eye and became my dinner choice. This was a wonderful dish. Tender steak, crispy fries, fresh bell peppers and onions topped with two sunny side up eggs and a side of white rice. A very delicious meal! I'm glad our family enjoyed our dinner at Pio Pio! I would definitely recommend! read more

Had early dinner or late lunch with my boyfriend for new years. We were shopping in the area and haven't been to pio pio for a long time. There was plenty of seating when we walked in around 330. It was happy hour too. 330-6 I believe. I went for a sangria and my boyfriend did the caipirinha. I ordered the breaded chicken for my meal. My boyfriend ordered the grilled steak. I enjoyed my dish. It came with rice and beans plus tostones. Our food also came with the white and green sauce. I liked the white sauce better. My boyfriend kind of enjoyed his dish. Skirt steak was a little chewy. Our server was awesome. He was bartending at the bar and waiting on some surrounding tables. Friendly and attentive. Had a good meal overall. read more
