First time here and will definitely be back! Stopped in here on the way to see a movie and had a great experience!! Sat at the bar and the bar tender was super friendly!! I tried the appetizer sampler which is called 'Run Across America Sampler'. Which is such a fun name!! The inside of the restaurant has such a fun theme! I'll definitely be coming back here soon!

Still one of my favorite places just because of the movie. Bubba Gump is a great place to sit down and eat your fill! The whole place is decorated in Forest Gump theme. Heavy ties to the movie. The food itself is great. Well seasoned and cook. I got the stuffed shrimp. Full of flavor with a mix of shrimp and crab stuffing. Service is always fun here as they also play into the movie theme. They ask questions about the movie to test your knowledge of it.

My husband and myself had another enjoyable meal here and our server Chris did a great job answering questions we had about spice levels for the foods we were going to order, making sure we had the drinks and food came on a timely manner. We loved the movie themed decor around us and we remembered some of the scenes from the movie because of the decor. Our food was delicious and filling. We will return again!

The bang bang shrimp was fantastic! Just enough spice and sweetness (I do recommend it with ranch). The stuffed shrimp was very flavorful and good (just the rice portion was super skimpy, they do need to do better bc even my pic looks small, and it was). Prices were average for this around average of $20-30 pp. We loved that the kids menu comes with carrots/celery or side salad (healthy options). Our waitress was great! The decor is so cute! Everything screams Forrest Gump and we had a lil trivia from our waitress at the end. Love it!

One of our favorites at CityWalk. Food is always great and service is always exceptional. Love all the nods to the movie and trivia from the staff while waiting for food to arrive.

Popped in for dinner & it was phenomenal! Sean was our server and Sean was the bomb! The vibes were fun and our food was fast, vibes were vibing, and bites were delicious! I had a lot of shrimp! Coconut shrimp, tempura shrimp, Cajun shrimp, fries... lol! Can't wait to go home and watch Forrest Gump!

Excellent restaurant. We have been to the NYC location, and it was almost identical to the experience. The waitress asked some questions about the Forest Gump movie while we ate. This place has a theme based on Tom Hanks' movie "Forest Gump"; it has been so long since I saw the movie. They have nice selection of fresh seafood and even I ordered steak there, it was cooked to perfection. We got seated right away, after showing I had a VIP seating pass from the resort we were staying at, so no complaint there. That pass also gives us free chicken nuggets. We ordered fish & chips and another steak-and-shrimp dinner. I would definitely return if I revisit Universal CityWalk. I recommend this place if you have never been to a Bubba Gump Shrimp restaurant.

Great seating area. Wait wasn't bad considering it's at universal. Prices is also very dial and their seafood is very flavorful and fresh. I would stop by here for a seafood craving. Their shrimps are huge and flavorful.

Pretty good shrimp and food overall. It was our first time coming here. I love the little Forrest Gump trivia the waitress asked us. Definitely quick service.

Came here during our visit to the theme parks. The menu was actually a pretty decent variety of items. I ordered the Mahi & shrimp plate but found it very bland and lacking in flavor. Definitely was missing something. The kids burger was a veryyy thin patty, and tastes like Burger King. Now, I like BK, but I expected more from a place charging these prices. Hubby liked his food which was the salmon. My daughter did. It care for her Jambalaya. Don't bother ordering the garlic toast appetizer. Way overpriced for what you're getting. The only saving factor was the dessert. The chocolate chip skillet cookie was delicious. Service was good, and I loveddd this thing they have where you flip a sign from green to red when you need something. I flipped that sign and someone INSTANTLY came to help. They also all work as a team, so you can ask any server you see for help. Theming was adorable. Not fancy at all, but extremely Forest Gumo themed. Cute. Prices were exorbitant. Slightly more expensive than both Hard Rock and NBC Grill. Small portions. I would not go out of my way to return.

We thought it was a perfect meal to share between two because each person gets a piece of fried chicken and a doughnut. The chicken is extra greasy and topped with powdered sugar. It was very good but it still does not rate as highly as Publix or KFC for me. The doughnut was great. I would compare it to a fresh glazed from Krispy Kreme. Service was excellent. We were seated immediately, and greeted at our table by a friendly and efficient server. Overall, everything went well. The prices are high but this is expected due to the location. I would definitely return to try more of the menu.

So we ordered.. smothered pork chops, fried catfish and shrimp, lemon butter chicken wings, red rice, Collard greens, Lima beans, black eyed peas, cornbread, candied yams, mac and cheese, and some onion fries.. with some sweet tea. I want to tell you, every bite I took had me closing my eyes and smiling. My only complaint was the lima beans were a little bit salty, but when I ate it with everything else it didn't really matter. The lemon butter fried chicken wings were absolutely amazing. I have not tasted anything like that in my life. You can't go there and not get them. You need these wings. I'd also like to say that all the sides are meat-free , so vegetarians come get some . We ate till we were full, and we had enough to take home as well. We all got a side of cornbread with our meal. We devoured. We got our fingers and mouths all sauced up and messy. We feasted. Everyone loved their meal and I felt like a hero for suggesting this fine, homey establishment. We decided that we couldn't fit dessert but greediness prevailed and we got desserts to go. Red velvet cake, peach cobbler, banana pudding, and lemon pound cake. The bread pudding is one of my faves. The banana pudding was nothing to write home about. Could have used some fresh bananas cut up in there. Last but not least, I have to mention our beautiful server, Audrey. She handled our table with a winning combination of love and skill. Southern comfort food as a general rule just doesn't sit well with me anymore and I'm going to be very transparent and bare my soul a little bit here but here goes . . . Ever since being on GLP1's, I've developed a really complicated relationship with comfort food. Foods that are rich, buttery, creamy or fatty now hit me completely differently than they used to. It's almost like my body immediately goes into shutdown mode afterwards. I feel heavy, exhausted and like I've instantly ballooned even if the portions themselves aren't massive. For the longest time I honestly thought it was simply the richness of the food itself but now I realize it's because my digestion just can't process heavier comfort foods the same way anymore. Suddenly... it all makes sense. The food itself here is VERY good. Properly seasoned, well prepared, beautifully presented... absolutely no complaints there whatsoever. I simply have to become more mindful and strategic now with my menu selections no matter WHERE I dine. I chose the Creekstone Farm's NY Strip with the fabulous bone marrow which I KNOW is supposed to be incredibly nutrient rich and good for you... but honestly... it just about put me under afterwards. This dinner happened thanks to Ronnald M. and his sister Teris and it was our pre-opera dinner outing before seeing the fabulous Merry Widow at the Dr. Phillips Center. The Monroe is honestly a very good pre-concert restaurant choice because of both the atmosphere and location... I'm just personally learning that this new GLP1 reality means I can't approach menus the way I used to anymore.

There were plenty of fun activities for the kids and there was an all-you-can-eat buffet for the kids with fried chicken and shrimp, macaroni and cheese, fries, and red velvet cupcakes. $25 is a deal if your child would chow down on shrimp, but it might not be a great deal if your child is usually full after four bites. Our server was absolutely fantastic, friendly and very attentive. We started off the dinner with some fantastic deviled eggs and a lemon cello cocktail. I ordered the shrimp and grits and was really disappointed with the tiny, overcooked shrimp and crawfish that accompanied the slightly bland grits. The shrimp on the kids buffet was at least four times larger than the sad little shrimp in my dish. I think the sausage was cut into smaller chunks just so it wouldn't be so obvious how small the shrimp was. My husband didn't love his heirloom tomato salad and said the Wagyu appetizer was disgusting. Dessert was mediocre. The macarons that accompanied my crème brûlée were stale and chewy. This is a fun spot for a drink and appetizer, but I would skip eating dinner at Highball & Harvest.
