I really want to like this place and I do in certain aspects but I've given this location 5 tries now and it is never really hot, except for the steak that I usually order med rare and is usually over cooked but still taste good. Also I understand they use the scoops for portion control but when you get three mushroom and pay $13 is unacceptable. I've been eating here since it opened and I love that they change the menu every so often. It's the only "quick service" place I've ever eaten where the food is actually healthy but also really big on flavor. Whoever designs their menu deserves an international award. I never thought I would actually crave food from a healthy place, yet here we are. Another thing I really love is the drink options. I don't drink caffeine and I don't like sugar sweet drinks, but they always have several amazing drink options that are every-so slightly sweetened. My favorite is the ginger cucumber lemon drink, it is so much more than the sum of its parts. The one thing that would make a huge improvement for my experience is better signage. There's no little signs to identify the food items. Some items are obvious, but some aren't. Like... what kind of noodles are they? And there's three different kinds of chicken that look almost the same. What are the green beans tossed in? And when they had the cauliflower mash, a new person might have thought it was mashed potatoes. My hearing isn't the greatest and it's loud from the other side of the counter so it's difficult for me to hear them when they're telling me what the different things are. The service is always 100% on point and they're always very kind and patient as they repeat the item identification 2 or 3 times so I can hear it - and they definitely get props for that! :) But, I feel a bit rushed (not by the staff, but just because their are people behind me wanting to get their food too). All the same, just some little simple signs would make the process a lot smoother. (Maybe they could write the descriptions on the inside of the glass? Of have clear decal stickers printed with reverse lettering to stick inside the glass so that the letter face correctly to the customer.) This place has always been very stingy with the meat serving sizes and it's getting worse. They claim that it's weighed out but I've never seen a scale when my plate is being made. Any other fresh kitchen I've been to gives good portions of the meat. Too bad this one doesn't cause I'll never go again. read more

I order here all the time and it's great, i never have issues. i placed a pickup order today online and it was so easy and convenient, i just walked in and my food was there and i didn't have to wait in line. i left and brought my food back to work and noticed they charged me for a six bowl but they only gave me a 4 bowl. they also forgot to add the feta cheese, but i was charged for a 6 with feta cheese. once i called they said there was nothing they could do. it's already overpriced so i don't think the service was very good read more

OK, this is going to be a really interesting review that I'm about to write. My sister-in-law went to Fresh Kitchen the other day and told me how fabulously delicious everything was and she couldn't wait to go back. So I decided to go there for lunch with a friend of mine. At first it seemed pretty exciting, you get to choose your base, your vegetable, your protein, your sauce. They mix it all together in a bowl and that's your lunch. You can choose the child size, the medium size (which they called four), or the large (which they call six). In addition to the basic items to fill your bowl, you can get add-ons, like tomatoes, olives, etc. But you have to pay for each one. So by the time you get your bowl to be very tasty, it probably cost you $10-$13. I did not get any of the add-ons and neither did my dining friend. I ordered the coconut rice, with sautéed broccoli, baked almond chicken, and white ginger sauce. The food was tasty enough but it really lacked the good flavor that made you want to go back and try another dish. My sister-in-law, on the other hand, told me she can't wait to go back and try more of the food because she really loved it. It's amazing how one person's taste palette is so different from another. My favorite place for a good healthy lunch is Zoe's kitchen. I like to go back there over and over again. Whereas, my sister-in-law, says it's OK but she doesn't feel like she wants to go back there as much as she wants to go back to Fresh Kitchen. What's my point? My point is the food was good, the service was good, but it wasn't to my liking. But it must be to a lot of other people's liking, because the place was pretty full and on the way in I asked someone in the parking lot how they liked the food there and they said it was so delicious that they come there often. Fresh and delicious bowls!!! Great "frescas" !! All the sauces are good!! Super friendly and excited to be at work staff! They want you to sample if you are unsure what to order. Our first time in, I was just buying a gift card for a friend and my daughter said "let's try the tea" so when we checked out , they gave us the cups and only charged for the certificate and smiled and said the tea is on us!! An unexpected surprise!!! The second visit in, the guy behind us in line gave us some ordering suggestions, he said he ate there everyday !! Third visit, was to Waterford Lakes location, still good, but a little more crowded than the Orange Ave location. read more

What a disappontment-this is my friend's favorite place, so I was excited! The atmosphere was adorable and it was busy. However, the breaded chicken was not warm, and was tough like it had been sitting around a while. Green beans were mushy and also cold. Potatoes also not warm. Friends... foodies... lend me your ears! A healthy and truly great find, this is a true delicious dish kind of place! So often when you see the words healthy or organic or no hormones added they can mean no flavor but that is not the case here my friends! Every single morsel that I put in my mouth was delicious, complex, full of flavor all the good things you want in food. One of the things I love about this place is that as you're looking over their selections for the day they will allow you to taste anything at all before you choose it to be part of your bowl. Any of the pre-cooked options can be sampled and chosen or eliminated due to your findings and your preferences for that day. I chose a six bowl Which was way too much food for me but it was so delicious I couldn't stop going back for one more bite! I'll be honest with you I paid extra to have a second sauce because I wasn't sure which one I would like best... Turns out I didn't need either of them because the food was so good on its own! I did have avocado in my bowl which helped to give it a little bit of creaminess but overall I honestly don't think you could go wrong here! The drink selections were just as wonderful as the food! plenty of organic sodas and my favorite...flavorful Fresca's!!! Love this place! Slightly expensive but worth it for what you get. I get the kids bowl almost every time unless I want left overs then I'll get the 6 and eat half of everything. Delicious options and healthier than most "fast food". I eat here at least 2 times a week and so happy to have this place (and looks like it's doing well). Recommend the cucumber jalapeño sauce! So disappointed. I have eaten at the Waterford lakes location a couple times and loved it. I was excited to see them opening up on Orange. Most of my meal tonight was O.K. but the chicken was inedible, dry, chalky pieces of who knows what. Super disappointed with their customer service! I called to FK because I was pretty sure I left my wallet on the checkout counter. They said they would check the safe. Sure enough, after holding for 10 minutes, nothing was there. I asked the employee if they keep a camera system. She said they did. When I asked if they could pull the camera ( I knew the exact time I was there) she said they would not do that. I was just asking to confirm IF I had for sure left my wallet there. The employee was very rude and annoyed, I asked to speak with a manager. After holding for another 10 or so minutes the manager came on with just as much attitude. The strange thing is, a friend of mine used to work at FK and she told me that they would pull the video for customers in situations like that. She said there was never an issue to just go back and check the camera to see. Which makes me wonder if it was an employee that took the wallet? The thing is I just wanted to know IF my wallet was left so I didnt have to spend hours ransacking my house to try to find something that was for sure gone. I used to frequent FK but after the rude unhelpful customer service, I will no longer give them my business! read more

I will never give my business or referral to this restaurant again. We ordered 6 bowls for a lunch presentation at work. A detailed list was given to the rep to bring in and place the order. Every bowl was wrong. The bowls were not even similar to the order and each of the bowls contained other ingredients and toppings. When I called to speak with someone about the order, the manager, gave poor customer service claiming it was not her fault, that she did see the "list" but it was ultimately the rep's issue and would not offer an apology, reconciliation or atleast a replacement bowl for the person who got a bowl that had nothing she ordered. She continue to say "this is not our fault." The bowls were so badly butchered that the ingredients in each of the bowls were not correct thus forcing someone with an allergy to not even be able to eat. This was a large order and we do many lunch presentations. We will certainly not be coming back here. read more
