A large omelet with meats and cheese, a good helping of potatoes, done with just the right amount of seasoning and onions, and great coffee. All those years missing out on delicious food, fair price and great service! Don't make the same mistake! Everything we had was absolutely delicious: mushroom burger ("why can't other restaurants just get it right and cook it exactly like this?"-- husband aka burger lover) and Irish Delight hash and Benny eggs ("this is perfect" -- me: eggs and corned beef hash fanatic). Just left this place and I'm appalled at the service. Two tables nearby us that seemed to know the server (they must be regulars) were seated after us, ordered after us but were served significantly before us. The pancakes were massive. Bacon was subpar. We both got the House Spectacular but somehow they forgot my toast and pancake. Also we couldn't understand/communicate with our server. First time here today. Restaurant was not too crowded at 9am, just a few regulars. Our waiter was very prompt and efficient. Made all of the substitutions we asked for with no hesitation. We had the meat lovers omelette and the chicken avocado omelette. We liked the meat lovers one more, but both were tasty. A highlight of the meal was the sweet potatoes home fries that were perfectly seasoned and cooked. We also requested a salad to go (for lunch) and that request was accommodated without issue even though it wasn't lunch time. The salad was a pretty basic chef salad, with all of the veggies and other ingredients being fresh and tasty. Value was good and the atmosphere was friendly. Will definitely visit again! read more

I've come here multiple times and have grown to really enjoy this place because of the service and food. Every time we have dined here, the servers were very sweet and attentive. While nothing on the menu is super different, the food is delicious and hearty. Perfect breakfast/brunch food. I like the eggs Benedict dishes but most of all the corned beef hash dish! Their hash is perfectly crispy and flavorful. Other places can't quite get their hash right, but Frescafe can. Please don't alter the way you make it! We'll be back again soon! read more

The best part of this place is that they will do everything they can to cook and prepare your food the way you like it. I've been in with all kinds of special requests and the answer I always get is "of course". And they always get it right. Which is rare and fantastic. I don't think they can be beat with their selection of breakfast foods. I'm pretty sure they have the most unique and biggest variety in the MetroWest. Very disorganized, very slow service. They have 3 servers and one serves just coffee, one takes drink orders and the other takes food orders meanwhile he restaurant is packed waiting for one person to help. For the quality food should be a little less expensive. Took ten minutes to even get an order for water. There's nobody here managing the place so the servers are running in circles. Finally when the bill came I wanted to pay and leave and obviously I had to wait another 20 minutes for that to happen, but hey the coffee guy came around 15 more times and ignored my bill even tho I mentioned it. Sorry but I feel eh about this place. It took like 10 minutes for them to bring us water. The food was OK it's not horrible I think you could go there if you're in a pinch if you're waiting for other places like J and M who had a 90 minute wait today so we wanted to try something else. The people that work there were friendly but the service was fairly mediocre. I'm glad we had a place to go and didn't have to wait they took us right away and the place was half empty. Good options for kids. I had an omelette and my friend had some eggs with hollandaise sauce and The kid had Eminem and pancakes what she liked and found very filling, my omelette was decent--a little overcooked but not horrible. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. I would say the food was better than the service overall they kept like not clearing our table and they did ask us a couple times if we need anything which was nice but Overall wasn't that great. I live nearby and walk here for breakfast periodically. I always get the hash and eggs. The hash is simple and always crispy. Absolutely delicious. My fiance loves their avocado and prosciutto benedict. I've also gotten sandwiches from here for lunches before. The food has always been solid and I've always left feeling like I had a great experience. The service can be a little spotty at times (partly due to the fact that there is no hostess to seat you) but the wait staff is young and very friendly, so as long as you're not in a hurry, relax and enjoy the food and company! read more

I stopped in to this place on a whim looking for a new place to get breakfast. This is the second addition to a family owned restaurant with its first location in downtown Framingham. The food here was so yummy. They offer all the breakfast basics as well as a wide variety of omelets (many different varieties with chicken!) the prices are fair and the waitress was super friendly. My wife and I thought we would try this place since they have refurbished it as well as the good reviews for Framingham. My wife ordered blueberry walnut pancakes with bacon and I ordered the corned beef hash with eggs, etc. The coffee was only lukewarm poured so we asked for fresh pours. The corned beef hash plate was very tasty all around and really no complaints about it. However the pancakes were doughy and almost unedible. The syrup was cold as if it just came out of the refrigerator, it could have been warmed up before served so we had to ask for that. The waiter (only one) seemed as if he was new or maybe just uncaring, he never asked how we liked our meals. There are better choices for breakfast in Natick and Wellesley so not really sure if we will go back. read more

Finally able to flag down a different waitress and told they were short staffed but our food was about to be brought out. As we had an appointment to get to , we asked for the food to go and received the check. After paying we waited 15 more mins for the food, and had to keep flagging down someone else to check on it. Asked that we instead just pay for our coffee but with no luck, and finally food was brought out. Food was not great either. I will not be returning. read more

Frescafe is hands down the best breakfast spots in Framingham. If you want reasonably priced, high quality breakfast, then this is the spot. The only sucky thing about this spot is the parking. They have about 4 spots in front (street parking) and there's a parking lot about 300-400 feet away (3 minute walk across the street). At first, I wasn't going to leave a review because my only issue was that the food sucked, but after the "show" I got to watch, I figured I might want to inform the population. About the food, it's really just all frozen junk that tastes microwaved and thrown on a grill for five seconds to give it grill marks; just not worth it in my opinion. My real issue with this place is the unprofessional staff. You will see a post here from Tyler M. who is apparently related to the family I will be discussing in this situation. My boyfriend and I were sitting at the table behind this family. When they came in I heard them inform the waitress of their daughters' severe nut allergy, which the waitress said she understood. When their food came, I heard them ask the waitress if she was sure that the food didn't come into contact with anything, and she said yes. The problem occurs when another waitress (who didn't speak the best English and had a very thick accent) came over to inform the family of how they cook food when someone has an allergy. She told them that it is all cooked on the same cook top but when there's an allergy, they put that food into a separate pan on the cook top. Now, the problem with this is that you don't discuss these things with a patron with an allergy WHILE they're eating their food, you discuss this BEFOREHAND while they're placing their order! The family had a hard time understanding this woman's accent, and then in the meantime, all they could focus on was words "nuts, same cook top" - understandably so! The poor girl was now terrified to eat her food and the mother decided they were leaving. The owner asked what happened and the waitress began to tell her, in a loud voice in front of everyone in the room, all while laughing about it because she felt the family had over reacted. At this point, the owner runs out after the family, hopefully to try to make the situation better, whatever happened out there I don't know. But when she came back in she continued to talk about the family TO THE ENTIRE ROOM! All I really wanted to say was, "even if they're overreacting you better take it serious because IF something happens to that girl and she has a reaction, you will be sued, they will win, and say goodbye to your restaurant"! They kept going till we were finally able to leave. She kept apologizing to everyone for the "big scene", yeah the big scene that you and your wait staff created! I felt so sorry for that poor girl, she must have been terrified! At first, I wasn't going to go back there because there are other places with much better food, but now I won't go back because the staff is so incredibly unprofessional! read more

I ordered an omelette with chicken, avocado, and cheese with a side of sweet potato home fries. Chicken in the omelette was disgusting. Totally artificial. They forgot to bring my boyfriend the pancakes that came with his meal and the waters that we asked for with our coffee. As a 'frequent flyer" to Frescafe, I've enjoyed the food, ambience and friendly, attentive waitressing from Jessica (weekdays). But, the 'new menu' prices today were an unpleasant surprise. My usual $10 breakfast has jumped to $14. A 40% increase for exactly the same thing. One of the main draws for going out to breakfast is value as you start your day. I have enjoyed Frescafe, but Ii have a feeling i'll be going elsewhere from now on. And there were booths of people around me saying the same thing in hushed tones. More than one customer was asking the waitress about the price hikes and I felt badly for her since she had to be the 'messenger'. read more

We had a custom omelette, smiley face chocolate chip pancake, banana pancake, scrambled eggs, and French toast. Everything was great. And the service was wonderful! Worst breakfast experience ever. From start to finish. At least ten minutes before waitress even came to table which should have been a sign. We ordered everything at this time not wanting her to leave and not come back. Over an hour before we got or food. Some lady comes out from the kitchen yells excuse me and states she fired a cook two weeks ago and she is doing the best she can do. Ok well if you know your under staffed and it's going to take over an hour to get breakfast food maybe you should tell your patrons before they sit so they have the choice to decide if they want to leave. I asked for more hollandaise sauce for my eggs Benedict and the poor waitress was afraid to tell me she was going to have to charge a dollar for that. One it was not the waitress fault in either situation the timing of food or that really after making someone wait over an hour your really going to charge the dollar for the sauce.
