The ecIaire was very dry and the cream was hardened; you could tell it was old: If it had been the end of day it would be understandable but I went on a Saturday morning. This is exactly the type of little eatery I look for! There are delicious light foods for breakfast or lunch, tasty coffee and great pastries. We got a breakfast crepe (delicious!) and a quiche, then divided them so we each got half of each thing. I love the fresh little salad that comes along, and both items were very good. Our next visit I had a chocolate almond croissant; delicious! I also got a cappuccino - it was good but not the best ever. And on top of that the server was so rude and looked like she didn't wanna be there. A cute French café inspired store that literally is at the corner of a street. French music plays indoor and the site is open for dine-in and to-go. Masks are required to go in, but you can take it off once seated and dining. They function by having you order up front and then they will bring the food/drink out to you. In total, we ordered to-go their crepes, French toast, and a chocolate croissant. They heated the chocolate croissant right before the order was made so it was still warm when I went back to the hotel. I had the savory crepe (La Jambon) and not sure if it was on purpose, but they cooked the crepe on one side only. The interior fold of the savory crepe was still mushy and not like the exterior fold where it was pan-seared. At the very least, it was cooked, but the texture was a bit out of what I expected. The sweet crepe was pan-seared on both sides. La Jambon had a decent amount of ingredients in it and I wouldn't say it was too skimpy. The side salad that it came with had a nice dressing and it was very appetizing to have before the crepe. The chocolate croissant was honestly one of the better ones I've had in a long time. Very flakey, doesn't taste doughy, tastes buttery, but also very chocolatey as they did fill it nicely with chocolate. Had I known, I would have ordered more baked items from them instead of the crepe I think. All in all, they have various other items such as quiche, crème brulee, coffees, gelato, and even salads and sandwiches. Definitely worth your time to visit at least once if you are in the area to formulate your own opinions about the place. read more

Horrible customer service. I have a food allergy and I identified that when I ordered. They told me they could accommodate. My food came unmarked, no way to tell and the person who delivered my food had no idea. She had to go back to ask. At that point I wasn't comfortable eating the food. When I asked for my money back the person I spoke with , who didn't identify herself either, was angry and argumentative and didn't understand my concern. If you could call this a flaw, I personally would have liked the crust to be a little flakier, and less moist. Still, very delicious. Also included with quiche, was a small side salad that had a very good tangy dressing. More than half the tables were not cleared of plates even though there were four employees behind the counter. Disappointing. My husband and I are both French and we were recommended to checkout the French Corner because it's authentic... they may have been "authentic" at some point but definitely not today. The savory crepes are made with regular crepe dough (what you would use for sweet crepes) while if it was truly authentic they would use buckwheat flour. So we were pretty disappointed when we saw the guy pour the dough onto the crepe maker and figured we should have asked first (and would have ordered something else). Our second disappointment was that their crepe dough is too soft (once cooked) and doesn't taste particularly good, it's just meh. Great coffee and a fun vibe. I've been here about a dozen times and always had a great experience. Then unfortunately the first time I decided to take my wife we were asked to leave to free up a table because we had just finished our coffees 30 minutes prior and we're getting work done on our laptops. I assume they just don't want people getting work done there since it has a relaxing vibe/atmosphere to the place. When we were asked to leave, we counted 3 open tables and an additional 8 stools at the joint table that were all free even though we we asked to leave unless we ordered something else at that moment. We had actually planned to get more too, but left since we had a sour taste in our mouths, we left. They said they needed the table even though there were several tables available at that moment. As someone that works from home, I am constantly frequenting different cafes and coffee shops throughout north county, and this was the first time I was asked to leave if I didn't have a full cup.
