On my work break I decided to tap in with Freddys Cafe ! It's been a hot minute since I've came here & it is definitely a little gem in Katy. I stopped by Freddy's around 11am, feeling like treating myself to something hearty. I went with the Double Angus Beef Burger and fries, and I have to say, the freshness of the food was on point, I was blown away. The burger was a beast -- two thick, juicy patties cooked to perfection, with a beautiful sear on the outside that locked in all the rich, savory flavors. I was saying "damn" literally after ever bite! The bun was soft and lightly toasted, holding everything together like a pro. The fries were golden, hot, and perfectly seasoned, with just the right amount of crispiness. The fries were some real fresh cut Idaho potatoes. They paired perfectly with the burger, making the whole meal feel satisfying and complete. Since it was still early in the day, I decided to go with a Freddy's orange juice. I'm not sure if it was house-made, but it tasted like it. Hella fresh, with a vibrant, natural sweetness that hit the spot. The only downside for me was the customer service. It took a good minute for someone to acknowledge me and take my order, even though I was standing right there and clearly visible to the staff. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They weren't busy at all when I came in, as you can see from the photos and videos I took.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It was a bit frustrating, but once they did engage, they were friendly enough. Fresh food fasho!

Wanted to try a new breakfast place other than a chain restaurant and this restaurant hit the spot! [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is plenty of seating inside and gives a cool diner vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was really good, I normally don't care for fried potatoes but I could not get enough! The employees were nice, it is counter service so everything is made to order. Def give this place a try :) Note: we did not order it but we saw the chicken and waffles at another table and the plate was huge! Good for 2 to share.

Large selection and food is plentiful. You're not going to get a skimpy sandwich here that's for sure. They make everything to order. Note that breakfast ends by 10:30am.

Showed up at 10:34a. Four minutes after breakfast ended. I asked if we could still order breakfast. They asked what we were ordering and they said yes! Tastes really good and oh my great service. Can't wait to go back.

What a great hole-in-the-wall find! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We came here for breakfast on a Saturday and from the outside I was skeptical but boy was I wrong.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This place is great. The service was counter but when we asked for extra butter, etc, the woman behind the counter was very friendly and accommodating. Their salsa is phenomenal, really reasonable prices for this economy, and I'll definitely be back soon!!!

In the area on business and decided to stop for lunch. We didn't know what to do when we first came in but figured it out by walking to the back corner and seeing the long counter. Perhaps we missed signage at the front that indicated procedure. I ordered a Reuben with onion rings and hubby got a fish sandwich with fries (lunch special). The fish was flounder and beer battered. It's on a toasted bun with shredded lettuce, pickles, mayonnaise, and cheese. Fries were fresh cut. Both were very tasty. Only thing I would have done was squeeze lemon on and salt the fish. Ruben sandwich was FULL of corned beef on beautifully crispy rye bread with thousand island dressing and sour kraut as well as Swiss cheese. The onion rings were PERFECT! Crispy without the onions being burnt. Totally would go here again! Would love to try other menu items. Sad it's an hour drive from my house.

I ordered two $2.99 sausage egg and cheese breakfast tacos and a cup of coffee. I had no idea and the menu does it tell you this, but then they proceeded to "up-sell" me the cheese, the sausage, and the Pico by adding $3.50 to my bill. I probably wouldn't have minded had they forewarned me, but when they do this without telling you, it kind of ticked me off. [[HIGHLIGHT]]So I definitely would not eat there again and it is no surprise the place was empty when I went in there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I guess they need the money.

I can get very tasty breakfast tacos delivered to my house. Enough said. BUT. The reason the don't get 5 stars is it get so annoyed with their hours. It's Saturday and they're closed. Saturday. A prime day to do business. So apparently they only cater to the businesses they are surrounded by. I personally think they would do better in a different location with better hours. read more

This place is a hidden gem! Do not let the outside of the building deter you from eating breakfast here. I eat here every time I come to Houston and they never ever disappoint. The owner is always here to greet you and they make you feel like a friend. The food is always made when you order and I absolutely love their French toast! Coffee is very good medium roast and the breakfast tacos are amazing as well. I absolutely love this place!!!! read more

We decided to try this place out because of all the amazing reviews but to be honest the food wasn't that great. We ordered the three alarm tacos with bacon, the Freddy's omelette and the two egg breakfast platter. Cons: They use frozen hash browns that were really greasy. They don't use real eggs. The tacos had way too many ingredients chopped up in them that we couldn't even taste the bacon and was just too much. The salsa that came with our orders also had no flavor. Pros: The staff was friendly. read more

I'm usually a pulled pork or a 3 alarm with bacon kinda guy - but for the first time this morning I had the vegetarian breakfast taco. 10/10 would eat again. Caramelized onions, potatoes, mushrooms, peppers, and a corn tortilla so good it would make even the most discerning abuela proud. read more

Really good burgers great prices!! Been there a few times and have had good, solid food. Mom and Pop kind of place only open for breakfast and lunch. Had breakfast and the egg sandwich was really good. Will definitely be back for a quick in and out meal. read more

Underwhelming and overpriced. I don't understand all the hype. We had a couple of breakfast plates that were presented and tasted like something I could have easily whipped up in my own kitchen. The place was clean and employees were courteous. Good menu selection but again, it all seemed overpriced for a business park breakfast joint. Won't be returning. read more

So I'd been to the post office a couple of times and, frankly, the exterior of Freddy's really turned me off. I mean there is zero curb appeal. None. Nada. But, I asked someone leaving Freddy's if it was any good. He said I had to go in and have a breakfast taco. So I did. The inside is much nicer than the outside. It was clean, quaint and comfortable. The food was excellent. I had a breakfast taco (of course) with bacon and jalapenos and coffee. It was divine. The service was excellent as well. read more

The food was terrific. The burger was great, and the homestyle fries had just the right amount of crunch, I rarely find them cooked to my liking, but these were outstanding. Well worth five stars, but with the following caveats, 1) no bathroom, and 2) it adopts the current common practice of having you select a tip when you order. It's a counter service restaurant, so you are just tipping for taking the order and cooking the food. That said, the person taking the order was extremely friendly. I will go back often to Freddy's. read more

So far I've had their breakfast tacos and a cheeseburger. Both were delicious. The prices run a little high at $2.00 minimum per breakfast taco (not amazingly big) and $6 and some change for a double cheeseburger. read more

We pre-order and it is ready to pick up on time. Taco Tuesday is what our employees look forward to and relish the ones that come from Freddy's. :( I saw the reviews of Freddy's cafe and was excited to try it...only to be let down. I got the grilled chicken goat cheese wrap which was composed of 94% lettuce, 3% chicken, and 3% tortilla. If I wanted a salad I would've ordered one. I got my gal the grilled ham and cheese which somehow with those two ingredients, they forgot the ham. I did not realize this until I got home. We got the fruit which was delicious and fresh and also choice to get a side of the fried mushrooms due to the reviews. They were super undercooked and full of oil. Had to throw half of them out. The ranch paired with them however was fantastic and I believe to have been homemade. I may have just got the wrong item on the menu but as someone just passing through, my one and only experience wasn't fantastic. On top of the 'ok' food, my 35 minute wait was the main thing that put a bad taste in my mouth. It's a cafe...not a steakhouse. read more

We have been waiting to try this place for a while. So my husband grabbed us lunch to-go yesterday. It was really good. You might think our order was kind of simple, but it was very good quality and a nice portion. We had a roast beef sandwich with fried mushrooms, and a club sandwich with fries. All was delish. I arrived at 11:30 for lunch and the place was already pacted, a good sign of the food to come. The fish sandwich was top notch and very hot. I added the fresh cut fries as a side and they were even better than the sandwich. It looked like the guy next to me order regular fries which didn't have much appeal compared to the fresh cut option. The salads looked decent and there were lots of options to choose from. read more

This place is a hidden gem in the energy corridor! I went there the first time couple of years ago and fell in love with their burgers and fries! I'm a vegetarian and I love burgers, so catering to me is a bit difficult. However, their veggie patty is delicious! They offer variety of items for breakfast and lunch and it's pretty affordable. Customer service is great as well. Most definitely recommend this place. read more

Excellent breakfast. Hidden gem off 10. Easy to miss. Next to the post office. Walk up & order. Quick service & quick breakfast! Freddy's omelet well cooked. Potatoes lovely & crispy. Came here for breakfast on a Wednesday morning around 8:30, and I was a little thrown off by the the office complex setting. However, the fact that they are open only Monday through Friday helps make sense of that; clearly they serve the surrounding businesses. I had a croissant sandwich, which was average, and home fries, which were outstanding. My partner had the three alarm tacos, which were delicious. The homemade salsa was a nice touch. Coffee was okay, but could be stronger. If I'm ever available in a weekday in this part of town, I wouldn't hesitate to return. We had very little company for breakfast, but I imagine the lunchtime crowds are thick. read more

Love Freddy's Café! If you work in this area, it is definitely worth a try. Freddy's uses quality ingredients, but their prices are still reasonable. Short on lunchtime? Call your order in and try to pick it up before 11:30 or after 1:00. I highly recommend: Goat Cheese Chicken Wrap (packed with tons of leafy greens; I always get an extra side of dressing for dipping), Greek Salad (light on tummy, packed with flavor), Grilled Chicken Salad (I always add bacon and they make their own Ranch dressing: delicious!), Breakfast Tacos (both the Sausage and Bacon are really good). I try to eat on the healthier side but their burgers, sandwiches and soups look really good, too... can't wait to try them. read more

This place was good! I had the BLT and my bf had the Philly. The bacon was very flavorful and crispy, almost too crispy. The Texas toast was perfect and veggies were fresh. My bf liked his sandwich but felt it was nothing special. Everyone was friendly and after a Restaurant.com coupon, the price was right. We will definitely be back to try something new on the menu. Also, they have a ton of breakfast options that all looked delicious and were super cheap. read more

They have a decently sized menu and they rotate aa few limited drinks every now and then. Any time they have a limited Fruit Soda/Ade drink, go for it, you won't be disappointed. The inside is so cute, very bright and clean, and all the regulars are just as polite as the staff lol none of the students that study mind if you sit with them. Staff is always really nice and always say hi and bye.

Couldn't taste much of the espresso so it's a light drink. Service was quick and the baristas were friendly as well!

The orange juice was freshly squeezed and this Florida girl loved it. We decided to try two of the breakfast platters. Mine came with amazing, scrambled eggs and crispy bacon and the most perfect pancake. I have ever eaten in my life. We then tried the fried eggs with some cheese in it and it was divine. The sausage was perfectly grilled and again the bacon was crispy to perfection. We also got a piece of their baguette bread and it was perfectly crusty and tasted so fresh and homemade I absolutely loved it. I highly recommend that you take a trip to this wonderful quaint café and try their breakfast and lunch. I cannot wait to go back and try more of their dishes because it was absolutely wonderful.

The coffee shop is part of a shopping strip that includes other popular businesses like Aji Ramen and Hoodadak. The ambiance and decor are quite lovely! The cafe is much larger inside than I expected, and it was super clean with good, reliable WiFi. We just stopped by for a few minutes and were recommended the honey nut latte as one of their more popular drinks. We got it hot. It was perfect! Not too hot, definitely not cold, great flavor, strong coffee flavor, and not too sweet. There's also a wall of fancy teas that's definitely worth checking out. (See my photo.) Service was also good! Nice, kind employee and the drink came out quickly. Luckily there wasn't a line when I arrived and only 2 other people in the cafe chatting at the time. If you find yourself on S Mason in Katy and wanting coffee or tea, check out this place!

This is a great place to come study or do work on your computer. Some tables have outlets too. The service was good. No complaints. I came here because I heard their matcha is good. Each matcha is $8.5. They claim to use ceremonial grade matcha but under the matcha latte list, there is only one drink labeled CG (ceremonial grade) while others do not. The CG is the basic and they use agave for sweetening. They also don't hand mix per cup. It is pre-batched. I'm not a pre-batch hater although I do prefer each cup to be hand mixed, so I will give it a chance if it tastes good. The CG latte was surprisingly smooth and pretty good! Not bitter at all imo, but it was slightly grainy. They used the perfect amount of agave to balance. It wasn't sweet either. Just perfect balanced flavor for a regular CG matcha latte. The other matcha latte I ordered was the banana. It is SO GOOD! A lot grainier than the CG, though. But I would definitely order that again if I come to Katy. It has a cinnamon flavor in it (probably why it felt grainier than CG) and mixed with the banana flavor was just very yummy. Highly recommend!

Having a drive-thru is also super convenient and one of the main reasons I enjoy coming to Long's Coffee. My last two visits to this location have been a bit disappointing. On one visit, my drink was forgotten while I was dining in. On another occasion, they were out of ingredients for two different drinks I tried ordering. It was especially frustrating because the times I visited were not busy... one morning, they had just opened and still didn't have the necessary ingredients for a coconut matcha or strawberry matcha. Despite these experiences, I still appreciate the convenience and atmosphere of this location. I'm hopeful these issues improve because I genuinely enjoy Long's Coffee and would love to continue supporting them.

Decor inside was nice, very spacious, almost bare. Plenty of space around each table to make it feel private. Very good service, quick and friendly. Cabinet food looked good and was plenty of choice. The menu was also comprehensive and what you'd expect of a good place for breakfast. The eggs on my eggs benedict were quite small and ever so slightly overdone, although still gooey. The hollandaise sauce was tasty although fairly sure it was out of a bottle. The muffins weren't toasted at all unfortunately and therefore the dish lacked the textural element it needed, although it was accompanied by very tasty hash browns. The soup was literally boiling when it came out. It had been heated in the microwave, which is definitely not what was expected. Took a good ten-fifteen minutes for it to become edible, at which point it was tasty, but not the best. read more

Great breakfast with the everything bagels and home fries. I am extremely picky about how my eggs and bacon are to be cooked and Freddy's cooked both to perfection. They offered peppers and onions with the home fries, they caramelized both and elevated the potatoes...so much I had to defend some of them from my girlfriend. In regards for value you definitely get your money's full worth, not a chance of leaving hungry. If you are in the area and hungry I would definitely stop in and give them a chance. Which by the way they are located just past Star Furniture, the usual map apps could use that. I will be a repeat customer. read more

DO NOT CALL IN YOUR ORDER . What's the point if they quote you 35 minutes and you get there at the 35 minutes but they just started to cook everything. Not to mention the restaurant was completely empty. If I wanted to wait an additional 15 minutes for my order, I could have ordered at the counter. read more
