Frank's has good food and table service. The problem is with the owner. He charged more for menu items than was printed on the menu and said the prices had changed. After some discussion, he led us to believe that he would charge us the menu prices. When we gave him a credit card, the receipt indicated that he charged us using the new prices! What's even worse, when I received my credit card statement, there was an Additional Charge of $10! The owner is a cheat and a liar. His unscrupulous and deceitful behavior outweighs the quality and value of the food the restaurant serves. read more

I really like Frank's selection of pizza. They normally have a ton of different options from eggplant park to BBQ chicken to shrimp scampi. Unfortunately the people working the counter just don't pay attention. The last THREE times I went there they burned our slices. The last 2 times I kept warning the kid that my slices were in there too long. We'll once he took them out they were definitely burnt. When I mentioned it they were happy to place another slicein the oven for me but then took the burned slices and placed them back on the tray for resale. Another time we went in there with a party of 6 and sat at a table for waitress service. We all ordered at the same time but everything came out at different times. Especially hard when half of our table were kids. Plus my son ordered pizza and then the waitress came back 10 mins later to tell us there was none of that type left. Ok - we ordered another slice. Again 10 mins later waitress comes back to tell us that there was nine if that type left. So we ordered just a plain sicilian slice. 15 mins later the slice was delivered. read more

Place has gone downhill. I feel like they are using cheaper ingredients these days to save money. Also the pricing is not what is listed on the menus. Owner is a grouch. read more

I have had enough of this poor service. I had ordered 1 large pizza and some fries for the side. I had asked how long till it would arrive, they said about 30 minutes as I only live 5 minutes away. After 45 minutes passed I called and they still had it in oven. I called again after 15 minutes and I was given the same response so I cancelled the order. Another time I had ordered a pizza, Italian sandwich, along with a piece of cake. Mind that I had paid for the food, so once it arrived I expected to have all 3 things considering it's not hard to count to 3. It gets better because when I called I i had asked to speak to someone in charge as I was missing the cake. The man on the phone who was in charge of the restaurant just told me "what do you want me to do about that kid" I hung up and have decided that Franks Pizza is the most disrespectful, disgraceful place of a "pizza place" read more

Took home some take-out here on Friday night and my pick this trip was their Shrimp Parm Sammach.. Didn't get a pic because I was very hungry and couldn't help diving into this cheesy heaven of a sammach. Nice amount of everything, not too overly saucy and had the right amount of Scrimps and cheese. Very yummy!! Place is usually packed and they always have a nice selection of pies ready to go for your tummy's pleasure! Fast, friendly service. You can eat in or take out.. It's YOUR choice! Wish they delivered to Pompton Plains, but if you make the drive for take out, it better be good! Frank's is just that! read more

I just had the most UNPROFESSIONAL and immature experience with the staff. I made a mistake by calling the wrong location and putting in an order. I called on my way home from work using Siri since I couldn't exactly type it in driving and quickly glanced at the main pics to see it looked exactly the same. I realized 15 minutes later after my mother walked into our usual Franks location for pick up I had made a mistake. She called back this location as a courtesy hoping they still hadn't prepared it/the dish wouldn't just be sitting there for hours unclaimed. The girl said okay and they hung up. A few minutes later, I assume the man who I originally spoke with had the nerve to call my mother back (I guess he hit redial which is kind of creepy since we left no number). He stated he had special prepared the dish which wasn't even on the menu (it was bc I altered my order to a similar dish they had bc their menu is different), then he goes "Well just so you know that was a 30$ dish wasted!!!!!". She went to apologize again and he HUNG UP on her!! SOOOOO unprofessional and rude!!!!!! I'm human, god forbid I make a mistake. I've never had an experience like that. Go to Franks in Lincoln Park. Extremely good food, very professional staff, great waitresses! read more

It's a shame you can't give this place a zero with their awful customer service. The boss, manager whatever you want to call him is arrogant and rude and refused to apologize after making the wrong pizza and screwing up my order. With all the great pizza places in the area, skip over this one until they can find decent help to work behind their counters.. read more

Called at 5:30 for a pizza. I was told 30 minutes. I got to Franks at 6:00 and paid. Then at 6:15 they are looking at me asking me what I ordered. I'm like, didn't I just pay? Then they start looking around. They forgot to make the pizza. The rude girl behind the register doesn't even want to say anything. So I ask, hey where's my pie. Then some dude is like 7 more minutes. I'm like wait is that it going into the oven?!?! I hate leaving bad reviews but this is just awful. Guess the word sorry isn't on the menu at Franks! read more

Let me tell you about my experience: I went in and put my stuff near a table and went up to the counter to order my pizza like you do at every other pizza place in NJ. The kid behind the counter asked me if it was for here or to go? I told him here. As I was about to get my pizza, a guy I can only assume was "Frank" came storming out of the back and informed me if I wanted to use his table, I would have to use his waitress (who was nowhere to be found when I arrived). When I told him I didn't know, he sarcastically asked me if I went to Applebees and ordered directly from their kitchen? He then told me he would let it go "this time." Hey Frank!! Guess what? This is the first and ONLY time I'll ever eat in your restaurant!!! In an economy where restaurants are hurting for business and in a state where there are pizza places everywhere, I think you should learn to treat your customers better. The food may be decent but the customer service isn't even close to civil. I don't expect to be treated like a queen but I also don't expect to be treated like a criminal for not knowing I have to use his waitress in order to eat in his restaurant. read more

Pizza was very disappointing. Crust was super hard and cracked. Flavor was just not good . In addition they charge you$1 to use your credit card. What a joke. I understand that credit card companies have fees but they are charging you a dollar even if you spend $7 on pizza. That's a crazy percentage (money maker) Avoid this place. read more

Told 45 minutes for two pizzas! An hour and 20 minutes later I am told "there is traffic." On route 23 at 1pm on a Tuesday? Unlikely. Finally got my pizza an hour and 40 minutes later. My workplace will have to find a new more reliable "go-to" pizza place. read more

A little on the expensive side for pizza sitting there half the day. Order a fresh pie and it's not that bad. Help is friendly enough. Edited review to 1 star. Walked in around closing time. If you're closed the door should either be locked or SOMEONE needs to tell me you're closed. After awkwardly standing at the corner, I asked if someone was going to help me. You said yes. Great so you're open. You wouldn't make a pie, you wanted to sell me the garbage left over. Bad business. Bonniellos down the block, folks. Treats people the right way. read more

Excellent Place For Italian Food! Staff were awesome! Friendly environment, just all around great food!

There's too much competition in this category for me to come back to Frank's. Placed a takeout order for wings, pizza, an arugula salad, and a slice of pecan pie. I get there to pick it up, and there's a pizza box and a paper bag with the rest. I get home. The salad is depressingly small for $9 (gonna try to post a pic). For comparison, a place I work a couple times a week orders from Biaggios in Fair Lawn. Their salads are always bursting out of the container. The wings had very little flavor, and they didn't even give me the pie ($6). I live a couple miles from Frank's so I decided to drive back to get it. They don't have pecan pie (Why is it on the menu, and why did they accept the order and charge me for it!!!???). They ask if I want something else. Okay, I ask for the peanut butter and mascarpone pie. He walks away for a bit and comes back to tell me they don't have that either. They list off a couple things they do have so I decide on cannoli. An older man that works there has noticed my predicament likely based on my body language. He informs me that they are giving me an extra one, which apparently meant I was getting two. So a small cannoli is $4. Not exactly going above and beyond for someone that drove back from their house at rush hour. Anyway, so that's a bad enough experience for me to scratch Frank's off the list. Their takeout menu is already in the trash. Given the ample competition in the area and Frank's high prices, I am completely at peace with this decision. read more

Frank's Pizza of Pompton Lakes - The arugula and mushroom salad for $9. Way too small for the price. - Pizza Near Me - Pompton Lakes, New Jersey

I went there last night expecting to get a great meal. but i was sadly mistaken. i gave them a nice order of a pizza with toppings and the moz sticks. Thats when the problems arose. I ordered a pizza half ziti half bbq chicken. since when is bbq chicken, chicken bacon ranch. it wouldve been fine but i dont eat bacon or red meat. so i called and i questioned because i had a piece of chicken and nothing about the flavor was bbq and they told me thats how they make bbq chicken pizza. since when does bbq chicken pizza have bacon and ranch on it? But then they told me they can make another one but i have to pay. since when do i have to pay for a mistake they made. Then i had the moz sticks. the cheese was burnt and out of the shell of it. Very disappointed would not go back and urge you not to also. read more

I base this review solely on the taste of the food. I went to visit grandparents yesterday and they picked up pizza from here. They always go there so they love this place. I never had pizza from here but when I had it back at the house, my first thoughts were "man this is pretty good!" I have eaten pizza many places before but this was different. I could have eaten 10 slices it was that good :) also from what I understand from them, the service is excellent for pick up and to dine in. they don't have any complaints. read more

Delivery is super slow, but the buffalo chicken pizza is worth it. I've ordered from Franks twice now, and both tines delivery took just over two hours. I called at the hour and a half mark both times and was assured the delivery was out, but it still took another half hour and its only a 15 minute drive. Both times the food arrived lukewarm as well. The buffalo chicken pizza is worth it though. Their prices also seem comparable to all the other places around too. read more

I will reconsider ordering from here again. During this unfornutate time of covid-19, I wasn't very comfortable of how the workers were handling food. They weren't wearing gloves, they had masks on, but wasn't wearing them correctly. A few were wearing them on their chin, others just covering their mouth and some with no masks at all. Will not be ordering from them again. Rather be safe then sorry. read more

We walked into an uncrowded pizza place on a Sunday, we looked at the menu. I got mussels, yes mussels at a pizza parlor, for an appetizer, and pizza for the main meal. I ended up getting the pizza first and took a bite of the best pizza I have ever had. It was so good. I want another piece, but I am in a hurry, after that we got our muscles and brocoli. I ate most of the misled, but they were filling. They were so good in the marinara. Then I ate the brocoli. I figured out the mysterious sauce was garlic sauce. They were very good after I got some salt on it. In all franks pizza has the best pizza I have ever had, and also good mussels and brocoli. I definitely recommend this if you get in the area. read more

Had pizzen taken out at a friend's son's birthfay party and all were amazing. There was a selection of pies ordered and the plain and buffalo chicken were amazing and super filling. I placed an over for $145 at franks through door dash the order showed up and 4 dinners were missing. I called the store to let them know and they were less then accommodating. I asked to speak to a manager three times and the person who answered the phone told me that the manager was busy. I have worked in the service industry for 15+ years and this type of customer service is unacceptable. I will never eat from this place again and be sure to let anyone who asks know. Still an hour after and haven't received the rest of the food. I normally don't post any poor reviews as I think it's important to speak directly to the place to discuss my concerns however after three attempts I still haven't been able to reach the Manager. read more

We usually like Frank's a lot - mostly for dining in. But lately the take out/delivery has gone down hill and even the quality of their food. The only reason it got two stars is because the wait staff and all are generally nice when we've dined in, but this review is really for service though. We ordered food tonight for delivery - $65 worth. When an hour passed and it didn't come, I called and the girl at the counter said it had gone out with the delivery already and should be there soon. Fast forward 45 minutes later and it showed up, cold, sloppy, dripping, and the quality was worse than we've ever had it! The calamari was cold and clumped together, the pizza looks like it was sliding all over the car and leaking out the bags and boxes, and everything except one soup was COLD. Horrible and considering we didn't just order a pizza, you'd think more thought or care would be put into a bigger order. We will be ordering elsewhere. read more

Great service, great food snd a reasonable price! Feed a family of 4 for less than we could have eaten at a fast food place.

I'm surprised franks isn't rated higher in terms of stars. It is a pretty standard pizza parlor that also makes your typical Italian dishes. There are a ton of specialty slices to choose from. I personally love the chicken Caesar salad. and the dressing is great from franks. Bottom line don't be shy about checking this place out. Some people will never be satisfied and are just looking to complain. read more
