We had these ordered into work to celebrate Chinese new year and I was blown away! Delicious flavor and the chili oil and dumpling sauce served with them was amazing! I got to try the beef, shrimp, pork and lamb dumplings and all of them were truly amazing! I have to go back to try some pan fried dumplings for sure! A welcome surprise

Me and my boyfriend decided to go to the restaurant to eat inside this time. The restaurant is very small. There is ambulance of seating. It's very intimate. Our food was served to us fresh. We both got chicken and lamb seemed dumplings. It seems that they have different options on the menu than they do in the app. The chicken dumplings that I ate there were cabbage and mushroom. They were delicious. My boyfriend ordered the kimchi fried rice. It was not good at all and we were charged an extra two dollars to substitute the pork for beef. With the substitution, it looked like they cut up half of a thin piece of beef scattered within the rice. The rice tasted old and flavorless with a whole bunch of chili sauce blended into it. The service was decent. Our server served us our food and made sure we had everything we needed. I wouldn't come back to eat inside. I would strictly order takeout from here. It seems like they prioritize more quality in their takeout food than they do dining in. We did notice that they had a lot of pick up orders and Uber eats orders.

Allow me to tell you about this restaurant. After walking around Chicago and walking six miles my friends and I were famished! We somehow ordered 45 dumplings, chicken, beef lo mein, and fried tofu. Everything exceeded expectations! That is the best tofu I have ever eaten. It was crisp on the outside but melted in my mouth! The chicken was crispy and flavored so nicely! I will be thinking about this food on my death bed! I will be back to this restaurant time and time again. Somehow we had no leftovers, we demolished the food! Our waitress was incredibly helpful and everything came out within 10 minutes of ordering hot and fresh! The one thing is because of how good it all is, they need a bigger nicer building! This restaurant deserves more seating so they can feed more people the best Chinese food!

This is a true mom and pop shop where prices are extremely affordable with great portions too. I got the pork and chive dumplings and they were v tasty. Def want to go back and try the other kinds of dumplings that they have.

Definitely a hidden gem. Came across this restaurant because my daughter wanted dumplings. They did not disappoint. It's a very compact restaurant. My daughter ordered the vegetarian dumplings. My friend had the shrimp lo mein, and I had a chicken and potato with noodle dish. I can't remember the name. We shared a combo fried rice, no pork. All the entrees are large enough to share for a decent price. I appreciate they use jumbo shrimp in their dishes. The dumplings were flavorful and so was the shrimp lo mein. My noodle dish was good but the chicken lacked flavor. The sauce in the dish was delicious but the chicken either needed to marinate in it longer or they need to season the meat. Service was fast. I really liked they brought each dish out as it was ready. The dumplings took longer because they are hand made to order.

It's a bit outside of Chicago's actual Chinatown, old Chinatown, and it's less crowded in this area so it's not as busy, which is nice because it's quieter. Parking... you can find it on the street and it's free on the street on Sundays. Most of the dishes are really decently priced and the servings are good enough. The salt and pepper tofu was slightly battered and very good at $12, the vegetable fried rice $10 was not too oily, but had enough vegetables, including broccoli and it wasn't too salty, the vegetables w garlic sauce was not good because the garlic sauce was a little bit too thick with Cornstarch so it was gelatinous and a bit spicy. Overall, a good deal for your budget. They are known for their dumplings and they are good. We went another day in July 2025 and repeatedly asked for garlic sauce instead of white sauce for mixed vegetables but despite the waitress speaking English perfectly, the food was a big disappointment bc it was white sauce :-( They have so many garlic sauce dishes so I don't know why they didn't substitute it. In addition, the vegetables were only cabbage, carrot, about 2-3 pieces of mushrooms, 3 small broccoli pieces, a random piece of tofu cut up in pieces, onion, celery, green pepper, and lots of oil. I was expecting a nice variety of broccoli, mushroom, snow peas, bamboo shoots, corn, garlic, and watercress. But not here. I won't eat the mixed veges ever again.

There's a "decorative" fish tank where the fish are clearly dead or dying. The tank seems completely lacking any kind of care for these animals. Yeah the dumplings are good but the service here is super minimal you always have to ask for your server to come attend to you and now with the way they're treating live animals, I'm good on continuing to support this place.

Great spot in Bridgeport neighborhood. Made to order dumplings are phenomenal. Quick service in a friendly and clean environment. Unbelievable value. Pay a little extra to have them pan fried. Will be back..

Ordered takeout through Chowbus after being recommended this restaurant from a friend. The dumplings and pancake arrived still hot - dumplings were super juicy. We ordered both the chive, pork and shrimp and the cabbage and pork dumplings. Both were amazing. The food was prepared super quickly and timely. The food also arrived early! I recommend ordering chili oil as well since they do it really well there! Highly recommended and will definitely eat here again the next time I'm in the Chicago area

About a 1-1.15: WOW, not sure what happened, but it seems as if the original owners/management is not there anymore, or they are just not visible? Either way, the quality of the food and the service has gone downhill, extremely hard. We came here for lunch, and we ordered: +the Eggplant with Garlic Sauce - while these did come out crispy, the sauce was not the same; it was a sickly sweet sauce that seemed to be a common flavor that's used in typical Americanized Chinese fare; this was not enjoyable at all +the Beef and Onion dumplings - you can have these boiled or pan-fried, which we did the latter; note that pan-frying your dumplings will be an additional charge; the dough itself seemed to have been undercooked, as it was gummy and more thicker than the last time; definitely still juicy, but the filling could have been more seasoned/flavorful +the Pork with Chives & Shrimp dumplings - you can have these boiled or pan-fried, which we did the latter; note that pan-frying your dumplings will be an additional charge; these seemed to be the more preferred between the 2 sets of dumplings in terms of flavor, but it still had a gummy texture for the dough The soy sauce at the table seemed to be watered down or diluted, and the chili oil wasn't spicy at all and didn't add any kick; also, it had a slight 5-spice type of taste to it, which I was not a fan of. I was actually really excited for the eggplant dish, as I remember enjoying this immensely when we came last; however, it was so disappointing. Also, there was no mention of using cilantro in this dish, so not sure if this was a mistake or not, but you could taste remnants of it. Rice seemed to be an additional charge, and while they give you a generous bowl of it, the rice itself was undercooked and crunchy. Service was non-existent and so difficult in trying to get anyone's attention to place our orders in, get a to-go box, and to get the check. It was pretty irritating. Note that there is an added 3% charge for those using card; bring cash to save some money. Four Seasons, you're definitely out for me. Metered street parking in the area. +low quality and preparation of food items +new or change in owners/management +undercooked rice +undercooked dumplings +horrific, non-existent service +metered street parking in the area

Off the beaten path - ambiance is more low key, hole in the wall vibes. The service was fine. Nothing on either extremes of overly attentive vs negligent. Food was great! The bread was crispy, flaky yet chewy and moist. The hot and sour soup was huge and so sour, savor and salty with a little peppery kick. And that cucumber salad was amazing! Tangy, sour, salty, crunchy mix of cucumbers, green onions, and belll peppers with a vinegar based sauce. I highly recommend trying it.

Tucked into a no-frills corner on the South Side, Dai Yee's looks modest from the outside, but step in after 10 p.m. and it's pure magic. The room is packed with everybody--sneakerheads, nurses coming off shift, club kids, cops, and couples on first dates who somehow heard the legend. The vibe is chaotic in the best way: woks roaring, orders flying, and that unmistakable perfume of sizzling garlic, ginger, and chili filling the air. The food is straight-up stupid good. The Hong Kong-style salt & pepper smelts are crackly, spicy, and gone in 30 seconds. The beef chow fun has that elusive wok hei (breath of the wok) that most places only dream of, wide rice noodles slick with smoky char and tender flank steak. The black pepper beef tenderloin is velvet-soft, glossy, and aggressively peppery in a way that makes you order extra rice just to survive the happiness. The Singapore noodles are bright curry perfection, and the Mongolian beef is saucy, crispy-edged, and borderline addictive. Portions are straight out of the 90s--massive trays that could feed a family of four for under $15. Cash-only, BYOB, and everything comes out blazing hot in under ten minutes even when the place is slammed.
