Leaving UH and typed in food near me...we thought breakfast but that's only Sundays...no problem! The entire place was warm, welcoming and appealing! Daily specials, great prices, drink specials and all. Super impressed with our meals. Buffalo chicken wrap special....do the French onion dip....youre welcome. Garlic knots for an app and he had a steakhouse burger. Great service and quick! Loved the atmosphere and old fireplace!

Had a great time connecting with friends here. They also have a private room that is free and available for large parties. The service was great!! We enjoyed our chips and guacamole appetizer. Decently priced for what you get.

Great food and service. We had the monthly burger called The Frenchy. O MG good. I always wanted to try the pizza Chicken and Waffles. So good... comfy food for winter time.

We spent a night in Elyria, Ohio on our return trip home and searched for a place to eat dinner. We quickly found the Foundry Kitchen and Bar. The interior of the restaurant is nicely decorated and retained the original style of the previous building's interior, which was an industrial facility. Per the website, "Foundry Kitchen and Bar is a scratch kitchen and gastropub that specializes in fresh locally sourced ingredients." As it was late we ordered a small pizza and Caesar salads, though the menu had several tantalizing options. If you're in town and looking for a place that the locals frequent, you must visit!

Literally the worst meal I've had in a very long time. Hush puppies came out and they were still nearly frozen. Food was just okay, felt like frozen food reheated. I would've told our server about it, but she was rarely at our table. The cherry on top was the rubber band we found in my son's chips. Response when I brought this up? $2 off. For a place that hosts an impressive bourbon list, you would hope they could make a decent bourbon cocktail, but those were also disappointing. If you're looking for a place to eat in the area I suggest going literally anywhere else.

What a nice surprise! Arrived in town late, so a good dinner that didn't taste like it had been "waiting for us" was a risk. Happily, we rolled into The Foundry Kitchen and Bar! We had two of the best sandwiches we've had in a long time. The portobello mushroom sandwich was perfect, and the Burger of the Month, the Pho King Burger - inspired! It's fun to find something you've never had before and have it be this delicious. The whole menu was packed with great options. And, when you come, sit at the bar and let Dana take care of you. Feels like hangin with a friend. Well done, Foundry!

Beautiful space, beautiful staff, excellent food and drink (esp. beer and bourbon cards). Had gone to a place down the street, well-regarded by Yelpers, which turned out to be permanently [?] closed. Tapped on the car window of a friendly-seeming local, explained my dilemma and asked his advice. "The Foundry is where you want to go." He wasn't wrong!

Best grilled cheese & fries ever!

I want to go back tomorrow! The food, atmosphere, & service was excellent! Our server Evan was so nice & attentive. My burger was a perfect medium rare (they ask how you want it). My husband's onion rings brought back memories of fair beer battered onion rings. I can't even get started on how incredible the chips & dip was. If you go make sure to get the parmesan pretzel. If you drink try the sunset martini.

Noise level? Loud, but hey, it's a bar. The food? Ohhh, buckle up. I ordered a $10 burger. Seems fine... until you realize cheese is extra (because apparently dairy is a luxury item now) and it comes with no sides. Fries? That'll be another $4. And what do $4 fries look like? Picture 6 crinkle-cut sweet potato soldiers lost in a basket, sitting next to caramel dipping sauce like it's some kind of dessert tragedy. Proof in the photo -- that's not a "side of fries," that's a cry for help. And they brought the fries out a solid 10 minutes before my burger. Nothing says "romantic dinner" like watching your $4 worth of food slowly cool while waiting for your $10 burger to arrive. My boyfriend got a $3 Busch Light (hello, profit margins ) and a chicken wrap that was the size of a Taco Bell soft taco. Sure, he said it tasted good, but for $9, he'd need it to come with a foot rub and a motivational speech to make it worth it. We're young (I'm 22, he's 23), so going out is a treat. But this? This was the kind of "treat" where you wish you stayed home and microwaved a Hot Pocket instead. The waiter was sweet, and I think the owner checked on us, but I was too sad to say anything. Sad because they really think these prices match their portions. Final verdict: McDonald's would've been cheaper, tastier, and given me at least 12 fries.
