Pizza not bad but a little skimpy on the toppings especially for a Deluxe. Pretty good for a strictly take-out joint. Only complaint, they also raised their prices........ AGAIN. Even their coupons which they send out every other week don't save you much. Guys, how about having a weekly-special or an early-bird special before 6:00 pm. Something like that, or anything where I don't have to search for and bring you a coupon. Save a little on your advertising costs and lower your prices. I've tried this pizza two times. First time it was great. No issues. That's why we decided to go again...boy was I dissatisfied. They put way too much sauce on the pizza which makes the dough soggy. The pizza was too large for the box which in turn smushed the pizza. And the bottom was over cooked, almost black. I may try one more time for a redemption try. I will not be back at this place, I orderd the x large taco pizza, went home the sour cream, beef, and few other ingredients were missing, the pizza was a sloppy mess, I called the business and complained about my pizza saying it was shit and I was rude cause I was mad, the man that seems to have a low iQ is very rude with me, I walk in place the pizza on the counter he said u have to dispute it with ur bank, and told me to leave, walked saying there pizza is shit, literally the pizza looked like someone threw up a taco and pieces of lettuce, I couldn't even pick it up the topping sauce and cheese fell right off. This place is fabulous! I just moved back to the area and boy I was so excited to order Sambinos. I was nervous though because I wasnt quite sure if it would taste amazing like it did before I moved away. It did not disappoint. IT WAS AMAZING! It was just like yesterday! The pizza was so delicious and arrived to my front door piping hot. The wings were great...meaty and with that little bit of crunch on them. Customer service was great...thanks Sambinos for making my homecoming so much better with one of my favorite go to pizza joints. It was nice to finally get a hot chicken wing as opposed to all the tiny pigeon wings I have been eating since I had left. I cant wait to order again and again. The subs and pasta dinners are very large, filling and delicious! My brother, who is hard to impress was blown away by the meatball subs, saying that they are double the meat and flavor of local sub shops. We also ordered two Chicken Parmesan dinners with garlic bread...two were enough to feed 4. They use chicken tenders, but they were fork tender and juicy...also cheesy. The only thing we didn't like was the burnt parts off of the aluminum foil that we picked off of our food. Otherwise, a great family dinner, a tremendous value, and enthusiastic service and delivery. My husband I got Sambino's Pizza the other night. It was my first time trying it out. We got a special for 23.95 sent to us in the mail for a large 2 topping and a large specialty pizza. We got an onion and mushroom and a taco pizza. Not overly impressed. I wouldnt recommend the taco pizza. I feel like it was missing sour cream for one. read more

Drove 20+ minutes to try this because of some reviews I read on here. Did not disappoint. Was very tasty pizza. Got the Big Sambino special which is XL 2 topping pizza, 10 wings, cheesy bread and 2-liter. Great value for this special. The pizza was very good, not greasy at all and the toppings were generous. The cheesy bread was 5x better than chains who advertise cheesy bread. The wings were decent- nothing spectacular and realistically if you are anywhere near this place and need wings, head over to Cookies. Ordered delivery and service was fast. Got a half-sheet pepperoni pizza and salad. The price is inexpensive. The food is just OK for me. The flavors were underwhelming and a bit bland. My husband went to get a pizza from the Elyria location on Cleveland Street, and I happen to have a 6 year old son with Type 1 Diabetes. This is an autoimmune disorder and not caused by what he has eaten in the past. He does, however, need to know the number of carbs in EVERYTHING he eats so we can dose him correctly with insulin. To little insulin, he could die, too much insulin, he could die. When picking up the pizza, my husband asked for nutritional information; specifically carbs per serving. No one knew anything. No one knew how to find out. This is the FIRST place I have ever encountered that cannot give this type of information. It may not seem serious to most, but it can be very life threatening for my son. I have now spent $22 for my child to not be able to eat. He is crushed. This diagnosis is hard enough as it is, on him. Now we have to explain to him the best that we can, that he can't eat this pizza. I am baffled that a place that pretty much serves carbs on a platter can't tell me what the carb count is for their pizza. Diabetics beware - no one in the restaurant will be able to help you. Sambino's is the best pizza in Elyria. My husband and I recently moved to this community and, as pizza fanatics, have been trying lots of local pies to find our favorite. Once we had Sambino's we knew the search was over. Their wings are badass too. I've also had occasion recently to discover, in two unrelated venues, that Sambino's actively supports student athletes throughout Lorain County. Sambino's used to make great pizza! Sadly, that's changed. We ordered the Great Sambino which included an xlarge 2 topping pizza, cheesy bread, 10 wings and a two liter of pop. I added cinnamon sticks to the order. First, they forgot the pop. Next, the pizza was so spicey we couldn't finish it. Really needed the pop! The wings were "quite" well done and the bottom of the cinnamon sticks were burnt. Still waiting for the 2 liter to be delivered as I'm writing this. For a $40 meal, I expected better. read more

This place is terrible!! First they sent me spaghetti with sauce and no meatballs which I asked for ( Also asked for sauce on the side ( they didn't get that right) I asked for two salad dressings and got one (which I was willing to pay for extra). On top of this they sent no forks. The spaghetti taste worse than canned spaghettios and very processed under plain tomato paste (Don't waste $9.00 on that ..When I called to ask why no forks he replied " Maybe you should have F-ing asked for a fork!" The pizza was in a box smaller than its size so they folded the sides to smash it in (gross) Trying to find a place where I can post a pic to back up my claim so I can help others. We have been customers for years and have had every item on the menu. Haven't found anything we don't like, service is good, food is good. Occasionally make a minor mistake but we usually order @ their busiest times, and usually don't say anything but if we do they always make it right. Suggestions for improvement: use romaine instead of iceberg for your salads, and include tortilla chips with taco salad. If not for this would give them 5 stars. Staff was very nice, food was done on time and hot when I picked it up. The food though, could be better. My sub was wet, and tasted like a gas station made sub. The pizza tasted like carnival or gas station pizza with more cheese. Not very good. Overall the experience was fine, but the food was not to my liking. Absolutely horrible pizza. From excellent to garbage in only a few months. The box was probably more flavorful than the dough, which now is about as thin as a saltine. Used to taste like fresh, chewy French bread - - now, more like the bag it came in. Only thinner. The sauce? (If that's what you call it) is absolutely tasteless. The toppings are indescribably awful, and the whole thing has enough salt to clear the roads in an around Elyria. We always ordered extra to freeze; it used to be excellent even when reheated. This last order (two extra-large Deluxe) will keep my trash bin from freezing, because that's exactly where it's going. If you need to charge more to produce a quality product, DO IT. People will pay for quality - - always have, always will. Don't cheapen your product to the point of disgusting, which is the path you've currently chosen.
