We wanted to give a local spot a long overdue try after not ordering for years. As with many small businesses, they're facing their struggles and have been receiving a lot of support from our area. We just got a basic pepperoni and it was very good! It had a nice crunch to it :) I will for sure order from them again...give it a try! read more

Pizza Cutter - Xl pepperoni :) - Pizza Near Me - Avon Lake, Ohio

Great local fresh pizza that is not covered in grease. Got a small, but they were out of small crusts so they gave us a large for the price of a small. Pepperoni, ham, mushrooms and banana peppers. read more

Pizza Cutter - Large with pepperoni, ham, mushrooms and banana peppers. What's great! - Pizza Near Me - Avon Lake, Ohio

Simply horrible now. No way could I eat this garbage. Significant change and not for the better. Had to toss it in the trash as I didn't want wildlife to get sick eating it. So long. A legend it was. Not anymore. read more

Not as good as the old Cutter. The pizza crust tonight was dry and the bottom texture odd tasting. New pepperoni style not a deal breaker. The only thing that ever needed tweaked about the old Pizza Cutter was it was sometimes a little undercooked, but even so still delicious! read more

I'm redoing my whole review. The owner is a good guy (I've spoken with him before). We were overcharged for our last order or delivery but the owner said it was a mistake. First off - this pizza is what I grew up with, it's amazing. I cannot comment on their other food because the pizza is so amazing that I never order anything else! It's old school baked, it is NOT the 5 minute air cook that franchises are using today. Pricing - IF the prices online are correct then this place is the cheapest AND HAS BEEN the cheapest pizza around. If those prices are different now then I cannot comment because I don't know them. Everything is going up so I imagine this place has or will be forced to raise prices. The owner states the prices are the cheapest in Lorain County, well they don't need to be. They have the best pizza in Lorain County or any County around (*) They can price the way they want and it still wouldn't overpriced. To be honest - I have had a bad pie from here. Not often but it does happen. It happens everywhere. The sauce is amazing and I have to believe it's the same recipe from when they first opened. A friend at a party I was at commented that 'Pizza Cutter is the reason I love mushrooms'. I agreed, they have an excellent canned mushroom. The crust is a a super experience that you won't get at new pizza places. Crunchy. I almost forgot. I hardly ever get sausage but their Italian sausage is the best around. I mean THE BEST. You NEED to get pizza here. read more

The best around! Hot fresh and homemade! Has been a hometown staple for 20 plus years. Service has always been great !

Love this place! Pizza is fresh! Price is good! I love the Hawaiian style pizza! Not all pizza places know how to make it!!! My husband likes the pepperoni read more

Pizza is always good from here . If you like a crunchy crust to top off your slices this is your spot!

Local, pizza place that's been around since 1982. They're located a few doors down from the Avon Lake Post Office. They make their dough and sauce fresh daily! They also have subs, salads, calzones, and wings! Their crust is nice and chewy and not greasy at all! The workers are very friendly and it doesn't take long for a pizza! Ask about their monthly pizza specials and check for coupons in the Towne Money Saver! read more

I have been here at least a dozen times but Pizza Cutter isn't your dime a dozen pizza chain. Pizza Cutter is a small staple in Avon Lake with big flavor. They have a perfect crust and quality toppings. I have ordered pizza from many places, enough to know that Pizza Cutter has the best Deluxe specialty pizza you will find. There's always something I dislike about a pizza shop's Deluxe pizza. It's usually either the type of onions or green peppers they use. Pizza Cutter got it right though. They have perfected the Deluxe pizza! All the ingredients they use are fresh, and of quality. Plus they aren't skimpy with the toppings. The staff has always been very friendly and there's even a liquor and beverage store conveniently located right next door. Love this place! You gotta try it! Tip: Check their online specials before you call. Don't forget to mention the special you intend to use when ordering. Enjoy! read more

I've never been disappointed with Pizza Cutter. It tastes like old fashioned pizza. Fresh ingredients and toppings. A decent price as well

Surprisingly very tasty! I wish I knew about this place earlier! The workers were very pleasant and my order came up pretty quick. My only complaint is that the prices are a little high for the product. read more

High-quality ingredients (better than your dominos, pizza hut, etc.. Tastes really good too. Ordered for lots of parties and it always got a lot of compliments read more

tastes like chef boyardee pizza kit i made with my autistic nephew back in 04'. twigs in my anus... :(((

Tried it for the first time recently and really liked it. So nice to get something different that's not from a chain store. Not a sweet sauce and it was a little well done which is exactly how we like it. It's hidden back on the right side of the building that used to be Avon Movie Theater. Will for sure go back. read more

I have to say the pizza was amazing especially for a delivery place. We ordered just the basic pepperoni and cheese extra Crispy and everyone loved it. The garlic bread with cheese was amazing. The price was right as well. Much cheaper than Marcos by $10. We will definitely be ordering again. read more

When visiting family in Avon Lake we were always pressed to find really good pizza in the Avon Lake/Avon area that was nearly as good or on par with the best pizzas we were used to having in our native Youngstown area or anything on the East side of Cleveland or Little Italy. Also many chain pizza shops in the immediate area usually left us rather disappointed. If Pizza Cutter is not at par with the best pizzas in NE Ohio it is close. I personally think that it is the best in the Avon Lake/Avon area and so does my sister's family who live right in Avon Lake. The pizzas are authentic with quality ingredients with a crust that is not too thick. Their wings are very good too. Avoid all the chain pizzerias in the area and make Pizza Cutter your default pizza choice, you'll be glad you did. read more

Small mom and pop pizza place that doesn't taste like "all the rest". It's an Avon Lake favorite! More expensive lately, but the pizza is great. I always support local businesses. Yummy pizza! read more

We ordered a couple pizzas and garlic cheese breadsticks. The garlic cheese breadsticks were great. The pizza was okay - in my humble opinion no better than a frozen pizza. Not worth the $40+ paid to have it delivered via Door Dash. read more

I haven't ordered from here in a couple of years, I was reminded why. The wings are baked. They were slimy, tasted okay, but messy. Would not order again. Pizza was a deluxe. There was nothing deluxe about it. read more

Very Surprised! Excellent pizza! Will definitely go again, may I suggest a House Dressing for Salads? Will definitely become a regular customer here. Delivery was fast and friendly. read more

Terrible!!! I got a side salad and a calzone, and the salad looked as though it had been in the fridge for a month. Wilted, brown, and downright nasty. Never again. read more

We have recently discovered this pizza shop. We really enjoyed the pizza and felt it was fairly priced. Our third time ordering there, I bit into something so hard that it could have broken my tooth (had I not have been a cautious chewer). I pulled it out and it was hard and black. My husband suggesting it was just a piece of coal from the oven. I continued eating. Onto a completely different slice, bit into another hard piece, spit it out and again, same black material. We called the pizza shop and they were quick to offer a credit or to remake the pizza. However, that wasn't the reason for the call - we wanted to know what the black material was and to prevent it from happening to others. After about five minutes, they admitted that they're pans are over 30 years old and occasionally they break off!!! Time to replace your pans & time for us to not order from here again. read more

If you lived in Avon Lake chances are, you've eaten here. If you are visiting Avon Lake, stay away from the cookie cutter pizza shops. If you want the same crappy pizza you can get in Denver too, go to Dominos. If you want the best greasy pizza on the planet, well at least Avon Lake, eat here. Locally owned and operated for the past, forever. read more

The pizza here was very very good my kids and I both loved it. The lady working upfront was not very personable. I will go back.

The best pizza in Avon Lake. Cheap and fast.

I like their pizza. It is the epitome of the mom and pop shop pizza. You are not going to get the papa johns or dominos pizza prices but the taste is worth the extra few bucks. read more

Good pizza but they were less than pleasant on the phone. Then I showed up to pick up our LARGE pizza and it's TINY. When I asked about it they said they have SMALL, LARGE and XL. So in other words their large is really a MEDIUM. Be careful what you order if you're trying to feed a family. Too bad they didnt bother to tell us when we ordered. read more

We ordered pizza, cheesy bread, and wings for $23. The pizza was pretty good. The wings were so undercooked we had to cook them more at home after even specifying to cook them well done. We tried it because we wanted something different. However, the lady who answered the phone was less than welcoming. I almost hung up because I was taken back by her rudeness. In person she seemed better because I'm sure she could tell I was shocked by her tone. The delivery lady cashed me out and I tried to make small talk with her and she just wasn't having it either. The prices are fair and the pizza was good but I'd rather pay a little more and see a happy face. read more

Pizza is good, but not great. I considered three stars however I believe this place deserves a four due to the prices being more than reasonable. Veggies were fresh. Salad was fresh and cheesed nicely. We will order again when looking to feed the masses as they are a solid economy good option. read more

Pizza cutter is a staple in Avon Lake! Very fresh, home made taste. Lots of toppings and cheese is always piled on! Sauce is fresh tasting. Their prices are pretty cheap. Menu is simple and always have specials going on. Employees are friendly and order is always ready when promised. A very tasty mom and pop pizza places...not like commercial tasting Pizza Hut or dominos. read more

I have been enjoying this delicious pizza for decades! Best pizza in Avon Lake. It's a small family owned business.

My family loves Pizza Cutter. Good prices. A healthy amount of cheese every time we order. Topping amount is fair. Never had a pizza that was raw in the middle. Always have a special that is running that lets us afford to eat out every now and again. Two thumbs up! read more

Well this was my first time buying from them. It surprisingly good, and the delivery was fast and courteous

We this pizza! We live in Florida and picking up a pizza from Pizza Cutter is always on our must do list! But be forewarned the staff/manager is not always helpful, they close earlier than their posted store hours and they could run out of pizza if they get busy during the day....call/plan ahead! read more
