This is a hidden gem in Avon!! Me and my dad came here to have dinner and it was a wonderful experience!! The workers were so kind and helpful... they helped us pick out their recommendations from the menu! We ended up ordering falafel and kebabs to try!! Definitely enough food for two people, we got so much to eat!! The falafel was delicious and you can even dip it in some of the sauce that comes with the bread!! We also shared chicken, steak, and doner kebabs!!! Make sure you ask for some sauces on the side because we were devouring them!! I was scared I wasn't going to enjoy the doner because it was something new to me... but it ended up being my favorite of the three! All of the food was delicious and it was fun to try new food I haven't before!! We will be back to order more from here!! They also make catering trays for any party or event! So don't bother booking a flight :) Its a go to for anyone that wants classic middle eastern /Turkish dishes that actually is amazing and not imitation. I left Germany in 2006 but I still dream of doners...they were one of my favorite fast food meals there and so so Good. IYKYK. Best doner i ever had was after an evening at the Green Lantern. Little joint right on the primary road in Landstuhl-wish I could remember the name. Everything we had was fresh and delicious. My partner had the chicken kabobs and I tried to tackle the doner. Warning: it is so much food! The bread and accompanying dips were so good that I asked for extra in my take-home box. (Sadly I couldn't eat all the doner but I can report that it made a delicious leftover lunch the next day) The Turkish coffee is first-rate and I appreciate that they asked how sweet we wanted it before they served it. It was such a good complement to the baklava-of course we had to try it and it was also amazing. I can't wait to go back and (maybe) try other things. Sat down for dinner and was immediately greeted with warm pita and a spiced tomato dip and yogurt dip! Lovely! Had to take our entrees to go due to unforeseen circumstances, but the yogurt lamb Adana and iskender were delicious!! They were also packed well presentably and easy to eat, yogurt on the side. Came here for lunch on the day of the solar eclipse and everyone in my party thought it was fine. One factor I did not appreciate was that we were not offered lunch menus during lunch and were given the dinner menus instead. Halfway through figuring out what everyone was ordering, I asked a waiter if they had any lunch specials. He came back with lunch menus and everyone at the table were wondering why these were not offered to us in the first place. There is a significant pricing difference between the two. The lunch menu was rather limited and portions were small. However, everyone did like the complimentary toasted flatbread with sesame seeds. The dipping sauces that came with the bread though were very small and bland. We ordered a Turkish tea and coffee and both were laughingly miniscule--like drinks for ants. Both cost $7 with no refills. Turkish tea I've ordered elsewhere was at least big enough for one serving. The food presentation was okay and the taste was okay. It's a very middling restaurant but I am glad this option is available. read more

We stumbled upon this place since it's just a 10 min drive from the Crocker Park mall... and it's DELICIOUS! A true hidden authentic gem, we got two mixed grills which we split between two and kept the second for a second lunch. Eat it right away!!! The meat is cooked wonderfully with an amazing grilled taste. It is a bit expensive ($35 each) but the quality you get is truly phenomenal. Food quantity is more than average. This restaurant is absolutely delicious! For my first time I was unsure what to get, so I got a little bit of everything. Food/Drink Turkish Tea- Hot, served with sugar cubes and a tiny spoon and believe me, I'm a fan of a tiny spoon. It was a strong black tea that tasted like there were additional spices that I couldn't quite put my finger on but it was fantastic. Mixed Appetizer (small)- A small portion of the popular cold appetizers. My personal favorites were the yogurt based lebni and the eggplant sauce. The variety is great and all dishes were vegetarian. Sigara Boregi- One of my favorite menu items of the day, the crispy phyllo dough was light and crispy, the feta was flavorful and melty. You can't go wrong with this. Chicken Shish Kebab- Well cooked chicken that had little crispy edges that gave it the fantastic grilled flavor. The rice served with it was fantastic and great to top with some of the mixed appetizers Chicken Shish Kebab with Yogurt- Absolutely fantastic and my #1 recommendation for this place. The chicken is cooked well, the yogurt/tomato sauce adds depth of flavor and the BREAD added some variety in texture, which is always appreciated. Hot kadayif (dessert)- Think shredded wheat + baklava filling but less sweet and super warm and melty. Because it was less sweet you don't feel as guilty eating the whole thing. The crunch from the wheat and the warmth from the grill translates to an amazing dessert. Service: Great! We were seated quickly, had multiple people come check on our drinks and order. All the food was delivered quickly and refills were always on deck from our waiter. We accidentally left the to-go box in the restaurant and our waiter chased us from ACROSS THE PARKING LOT to come give it to us-- that alone is a 10/10 Cleanliness: Everything was spotless, the dishes and cutlery were clean, and there wasn't anything that made me question what the kitchen looked like-- which is a great thing. No notes on the bathroom because I did not use it. Accessibility: There is a normal sized step on to the sidewalk-- my one concern would be the little shelter that covers the front door. I do think it would be possible to get a mobility aid through it, but depending on the size of the aid, it may pose a problem. Once in the restaurant there was plenty of space to move around. What a wonderful restaurant with tasty vegetarian options. This is located in a mall with plenty of parking. The falafel sandwich was out of this world. I believe that they make their own breads. YUM. Looking forward to going back. Went for a late lunch, a bit after 1pm on a weekday, and they were not busy at all. They have a lunch menu but the full menu was available. The servers were kind and attentive. Got the mixed grill, which is maybe the priciest item but it let me sample a lot of their meats and have enough left over for a second meal. It came with an appetizer of bread accompanied by tzatziki and spicy sauces. The bread was fresh and hot and delicious, the tzatziki was real tzatziki (so, strong with garlic and dill--really rare in the Midwest). The mixed grill was all great. Everything was juicy and tender. A real meat fest. The rice was tender, cooked with little pasta strings in a broth with chicken bouillon. Tip: the sauces with the bread go great with the meat as well. Also had the rice pudding for dessert, and I recommend that, too. read more
