The atmosphere was lively and family-friendly, and they had a blast while we were there. It's definitely a spot that keeps kids entertained and makes it a little easier to relax as a parent. What truly stood out was the staff's integrity and kindness. I accidentally left my credit card there, and not only did they go out of their way to mail it back to me, they included a cute little Thirsty Pony drink coozie in the envelope. That was such an unexpected and thoughtful touch. Customer service like that really matters. The atmosphere and the way they handled my mistake absolutely left a positive impression. Thank you to the team for going above and beyond -- that kindness did not go unnoticed!

We didn't get any menus when first sat down so our server was scrambling a bit since the host kind of left us hanging. Our server was really great at keeping our cups full and putting in our order quickly. The food came out pretty fast which was really surprising but tasted pretty subpar. You really should come here for the vibes which were fun and lively! There's also a bowling alley, axe throwing, laser tag, at least 3 different sports bars/betting, arcade, AND a food truck outside with yard games. I ordered the cluck cluck burger which has bacon and an egg. The burger patty was pretty dry but it was saved by the egg. It comes on a pretzel bun which I loved! My nephew ordered a ton of apps instead of an entree and got the giant pretzel (cheese came out pretty dry with a hard top), onion rings, and the cheesesteak fries. He liked the fries the best, onion rings were good, but the pretzel was cold. My husband got chicken wings naked with three or so sauces on the side which weren't very good so I'd suggest getting them normally breaded. He also ordered a burger with sweet potatoes fries that were pretty good but his patty was also dry.

After being at CP and eating to much junk, I like a good salad to balance everything out. I believe you can get it grilled or plain, not fried. The kids love wings and sauces, so this is a great place for our family. I also like this as an option when we stay at Castaway Bay. It used to be Friday's back in the day, but this is a decent replacement. There is a huge menu, so something for everybody. Staff is friendly and I love the theming. I love a good theme with a lot of kitschy décor. Not the worst option in the area. And a decent place if you do not want to leave the hotel at night.

For years, literally decades, I'd heard of Quaker Steak & Lube from family in Ohio. It was supposed…read moreto be THE place for wings in Ohio. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype. Our server was still in training, so I will cut her some slack. But at the same time, all of our food came out lukewarm. Cheese had congealed back into a solid. She came back for all of one refill on one of the five people at our table. Training is one thing, but come on. The sauce on my wings tasted straight from the grocery store. But perhaps worse for the food was the portion size. "Full sized" entrees that wouldn't be full for the kids meal. One of my party had a mac and cheese bowl that was, tops, six spoonfuls. For the price paid, the amount of food was not worth it. So to get minimal food AND it be lukewarm? I'm not feeling a reason to go back.

I went last weekend with some friends in the early afternoon and waited in line for about 20 minutes before being called. They are limiting the number of people on their patio, so most patrons were aware it is not a "hang out all day" situation. I would describe the serving style to be similar to that of a food court. Once your party is called in, you immediately order by the kitchen window, all food, drinks, silverware are given at that point. Your card is kept on hand and a tab is opened. Once the food for your table is ready, a server will bring all your food at once. When finished eating, there is an area to drop off your metal tray, metal silverware, and trash on your way out the patio area. Tremont Taphouse has definitely implemented an effective way to remain pretty contact-free. And the most important part, all employees wore a mask! The food that I got was pretty standard for Ohio City/Tremont area. The burger and fries were tasty, but I felt like it was a little pricey compared to other American styled restaurants in Ohio City/Tremont, especially since the location is on the outskirts of Tremont. However, since the shutdown of restaurants in Ohio, it was worth the added costs to support local again!

Eating in NEO exurbia - 1 of 2…read more Most people have imagery of Mexican restaurants in their heads before they go. It's going to be stucco on the outside, appear dimmed down on the inside, have nooks and crannies, and feature gaudy wall art. This Mexican restaurant - Fiesta Jalapeños - isn't much at all like that and that's part of the reason I like it. I went in with a good friend who lives one community over, where it's more of a corporate suburb. Fiesta Jalapeños is right over the county line to the west, where intermittent cornfields eventually begin to appear. It sits in a medium sized strip mall with some typical chain tenants and takes up a big spot on its end. I had a combination platter and my friend had several enchiladas. Their chips, which are good, keep coming and, for me, their salsa is just right. I liked all the items in my combination, but my friend who is native to this area was more critical of the food. This is my review, so it's going to reflect my point of view. The service was very amicable, the prices were right, and, with it being fairly crowded, they periodically checked in on us. I took note that they had lunch specials served within a window of time and which differ by each day of the week. I noticed that, on Thursdays, they had an enchilada-burrito or something similar, so I went back. The lunch price made for a good value. I really liked this filling dish and all its ingredients, which were robust in flavor. I added a soft drink to this and it was an excellent lunch. It goes without saying that they have a Taco Tuesday, so I also made a trip for that. So far, it's probably sounding like 4 stars, but I'll continue. Because it's in a strip mall that has a higher roof, they left the structure exposed and took the ceiling up higher. There are big windows all around. This is probably the airiest Mexican restaurant I've ever visited. To one side, there is a bar and a slightly different crowd (dudes and dudettes) will go in there to drink, take their meals at pub height, socialize, and/or watch televised sports. They have an outdoor terrace at their disposal, which is attached to the bar and visible from the parking lot. With all the main items dialed, their inviting interior takes Fiesta Jalapeños up to 5 stars. There are a few things to note. First and foremost, if a combination is featured with certain ingredients or it's Taco Tuesday, it will have those ingredients. If it isn't specific, it may default to ground beef. I would have difficulty eating Mexican food in its large "envelopes" that would be filled with ground beef, so you need to specify which filling you want. Second, they have a lot of imagery of Cantinflas. This is a Hispanic actor/comedian of yesteryear who went by one name, sort of like Charo. My childhood friend's Cuban father would laugh and say, "Ay, si, Cantinflas." I guess you had to be there. Lastly, with the change of a zip code and crossing the county line, you've moved into a very different area. This metro area spreads east-west along Lake Erie without too much southerly critical mass and, in the process, goes from the undulating topography of the top end of Appalachia in the east to fairly true to form Midwest, and cornfields, as you go to the west. I was told that some locals call this area North Ridgetucky, just like L.A.'s 909 suburb of Fontana is jokingly known as Fontucky. One doesn't need to take a poll to get an accurate feel for the political leanings of the patronage out this way and I probably would not want to break bread with them (nor they with me), let alone give them a "high 5," but I would to the restaurant and its crew. I recommend Fiesta Jalapeños highly. It should at least be a 4 for most folks, but, depending on what you order and prioritize in a Mexican restaurant, it could be a 5 for you as well.
