After being at CP and eating to much junk, I like a good salad to balance everything out. I believe you can get it grilled or plain, not fried. The kids love wings and sauces, so this is a great place for our family. I also like this as an option when we stay at Castaway Bay. It used to be Friday's back in the day, but this is a decent replacement. There is a huge menu, so something for everybody. Staff is friendly and I love the theming. For years, literally decades, I'd heard of Quaker Steak & Lube from family in Ohio. It was supposed to be THE place for wings in Ohio. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype. Our server was still in training, so I will cut her some slack. But at the same time, all of our food came out lukewarm. Cheese had congealed back into a solid. She came back for all of one refill on one of the five people at our table. Training is one thing, but come on. The sauce on my wings tasted straight from the grocery store. But perhaps worse for the food was the portion size. "Full sized" entrees that wouldn't be full for the kids meal. One of my party had a mac and cheese bowl that was, tops, six spoonfuls. Came twice while in town for a baseball tournament. One experience was terrible and one was mediocre. The first time, we were seated at a bunch of tables and told that we would have to have different waitresses due to our size. Fine. We got the nice waitress while my kids got the very rude, inattentive waitress. We started asking our waitress for items that the kids needed. The kids (who are actually teens) had all kinds of food errors (example 3 orders of broccoli instead of two orders of fries and one broccoli) but they let it slide and barely ate. Second visit, they somehow found a way to get everyone together and that experience was much better. Did not see that same waitress that day. Here on vacation and stopped in after a long day of driving. Staff was friendly and food was edible at best. Alcohol drinks were not worth the money. Food prices aren't bad considering it's next to a cedar point resort. Skip the drinks for sure. We won't be back, but if your hungry and can't drive a second longer, it will suffice. Also, waitresses talking about how people "shouldn't go out to eat if they can't afford to tip" should be for outside breaks, not where patrons pass to go to the bathroom. read more

So I've been to this Quaker Stake & Lube location a few times over the past few months and I must say that all the bad reviews are very misleading as every time I've been here my food has been super good my service has been extremely efficient and my drinks have been on point! Of the many options I've had a few different burgers and they all have been good of them my favorite has been the market cut bacon burger as the bacon on it was super thick and just delicious as it had just the right of meat kick to the amount of flavor from the juicy patty to set it all to be what's good! The Quaker Steak Sandwich was also outstanding the flavor was there a bit sweet and a bit of the steak flavor you know you wanna have with its grilled veggies on top to just make it yummy all around! The ribs and wings though were super delicious my ribs were tender and just about falling off the bone with each bite and the bbq sauce was what it was for me super flavorful and just delicious with each bite from the bone goodness! The wings that came with my ribs were also quite good too as of the many many sauce choices I went with the honey jalapeño I believe it was and it was totally awesome sauce with each bite of these crispy bone in wings that I really enjoyed until the end! The booze was also totally good my strawberry daiquiri was perfect with just the right amount of booze to offset the strawberry flavor to make it perfect and totally enjoyable as well as the spiked strawberry lemonade I ordered too it was super delicious too but the daiquiri was better much so! If you work at Cedar Point then you get a discount here too just show your badge and they will hook you up so don't forget that! Overall this is a great location right on the water to grab some delicious food and drinks as every time I've been here I've been impressed with that said I'm sure it won't be long until I visit this location again to grab some of what's good! Food was good & a nice view, but the end of our service took this rating down. We are quite tolerant of slow service, however, after waiting a while for any attention from our server we politely asked another employee Jody if she could help us with the check. NEVER in my life has someone so rudely replied with, "I'm not your server" & continued to walk away. A simple, "let me look for your server" Would have done it for us. This location needs a major boost in customer service. They have the waterfront location & good food, and what may have been a frequented summer spot, it will now be a long time until we visit again due to this attitude. read more

I went here last night and we had to wait 30 minutes in order to be seated. They said they had not enough servers but that is not an excuse anymore I have heard that multiple times. This restaurant needs to make an effort to get servers. Otherwise I had got the Mac and cheese Burger with fries. The fries were extremely soggy and were not good, the Mac and cheese was sub par at best. I don't know how I've been going to cedar point for so long and didn't realize Quaker steak was so close! After moving out of state it's something I don't get to enjoy o often anymore. Quaker was my go to spot for wings! Came Saturday around 4/5 there was a party and a handful of tables. We joined two other couples at the bar. It took our waitress a bit but everyone was friendly and acknowledged the wait! I figured over the years Quaker would've started adapting and pulling more than just the regular bud lights and coors and get a wider variety but only had one or things to choose from. Regardless a cold beer after a day of coasters hit the spot! I ordered the wings and pretzel combo I used to always get. I was bummed to find they changed the pretzels from the mini traditional looking pretzels. It's been years since I been here so I'm outta the loop I guess. They weren't bad just was thrown off. The Arizona ranch still slaps just like I remember tho and the wings were nice and crispy. Would I stop back possibly, just can't expect what I used to get at the OG location. I debated long and hard about wether or not I should write this review, but the longer I think about it the more it aggravates me. I gave this two stars because the food was not terrible and the view is breathtaking. We were On family vacation and we stopped here because it seemed so fun. Do NOT be deceived. My SO and I ordered drinks, and when the food was brought out one was accidentally knocked over by the person delivering our food. It went all over him and all over the floor. The glass broke. Our server, Brianna, was rude to the other employee that spilled the drink and broke the glass. We were not upset at all, mistakes happen and we are still enjoying the view, the company and atmosphere. But that was the first indication that things where about to take a turn. Then when we asked her if she was going to replace the drink, she asked, "was there even anything left in it?" Imagine the tone of a sullen bratty teen and that would be the attitude she used. We politely explained that he had had maybe two sips, so she replaced it. However, when she brought back the new drink he asked her if it even matter how much was left in the drink and she said, "I just didn't think there was anything but ice left in there." Just so you, the reader of this review knows, there is no ice in that drink (duck duck goose is the name of the drink), and he was sitting in a puddle of blue alcohol. His clothes, his chair and all over the floor beneath him was wet. When she brought our bill, she gave us $5 off. The drink was $11.95. I asked her if she gives veterans discounts. I am a female veteran. She gave me a look up and down and then in another tone she asked me if I had a veterans ID. I told her I did and started to retrieve it. She told me to wait and she walked off. I am guessing to help another table I did not even look. Then she came back and looked at my veterans ID and stalked off to apply the discount and ring us up. While the food was not bad, the customer service we received from Brianna was by far we had during our whole week of vacation. It made all of it sour in our stomachs. TE was annoyed the whole time. Never in my life have we been treated that way. Talked to the manager about it and he didn't seem to care. Whole place is poorly run and not kept up very well. Huge tears in the seats. I'm guessing being so close to CP they get a lot of traffic and don't plan on anyone ever coming back. Wish I could give less than a one star review. This place is horrible. this had to be the most disgusting restaurant I have ever eaten at. we ate on the patio and I looked up at the awning and there were thousands upon thousands of dead bugs stuck to the awning above us that could fall into our food at any time. The tables were filthy and rusty disgusting. to top it off, there was a birds nest in the awning, and one of the birds must've fallen and been killed and was laying dead underneath the nest. this was 20 feet from our table. We had to watch a seagull come over and eat the dead bird. they need to pressure wash the awning weekly and keep it clean read more

I used the online ordering yesterday for 40 wings. Found out I needed to order 20 more wings. Placed a 2nd order today. The manager called just to confirm that I truly placed another order. I asked if I could push the order pick time from 4pm to 3:30pm. He said it would not be an issue. I arrived at 3:30 & there was an issue. I had pre-paid but it wanted me to pay tax. I told them ok. Then the manager came out & said my time didn't get changed & he was so sorry!! I told him it's fine. He said he felt so bad he refunded my entire order & threw in a bunch of celery carrots, ranch & blue cheese. I told him that was not necessary but he insisted.
