Ribeye
Michael T.

For a chain steakhouse, the quality was not bad. The ribeye - is recommend (the normal one that is not "outlaw"). The outlaw ribeye was a bit too burnt and charred for me. While it was cooked to my liking (medium) it was dry. I couldn't bring myself to like it due the excessive charring on each bite. The normal ribeye, on the other hand, was nice and juicy and 12 oz (vs the 20 oz outlaw). Some parts were too fatty but overall a nice experience. Sides: sweet potato was nice and sweet. Came with butter which not needed. Broccoli was kid friendly. Shrimp was ok. Banana peppers paired well with shrimp. Actual shrimp was very small. The breading filled a lot of the dish, which i had to take off because it was too much at the end. Nice clean atmosphere. Service was fast and attentive.

Shared a 12oz New York strip steak and loaded baked Potato. Cooked to perfection again!

This place is the BEST STEAK around. Consistently good at this location but in general, still my go to place! The servers are sooo nice and the cook/s are on point! I love a medium rare leaning toward rare and they did it soooooooo good! I seriously can't say enough good about this place! Clean friendly and comfortable ambiance where you can dress up or down and still feel at home. I will ALWAYS come back! Red rock shrimp and New York strip! Oh gosh but it's all delicious!!!! I would post a pic but we scarfed our food down haha. Next time I will for sure update with some pics. A salad, loaded potato and 12 oz steak fill my boyfriend and I up perfectly shared, so we spend less and can come back more lol. 2 meals under $30 but worth it even if we ordered separate!

The food was delicious. Came out very fast. Our server was very kind and accommodating. The restaurant itself was very clean and inviting. I would have given it a five star, but we asked for mayo on the side and there was a onion inside of the mayonnaise. The waitress quickly brought it back and brought us new one.

I can't recall 1x ever coming to this restaurant ANYWHERE, & that's strange because I'm a steak lover! So in town & now seeing many options I decided to try them out. SO GLAD we did! So good I came twice back to back for dinner each night. The 1st night the hostess left alot to be desired with service she needs to be trained! The server was ok the 1st night too. Our utensils were not clean and we needed several new setups! Star deducted. 1st night I ordered the bone in ribeye, & the wild west shrimp with a peach sangria. My food came before my drink and my friend had to remind her she even ordered a drink. Star reduced! MY STEAK WAS DELICIOUS!!! 2nd night everything was good, still received dirty setups so no good! Server & food great 2nd visit. Ordered the Tbone this visit and it was good too! I will definitely be visiting a Chicago location! 5 STAR FOOD ALL THE WAY. WITH CHEAPSKATE PRICES! LOVE IT

Very comfortable and quiet ambiance!

My first visit to this Longhorn Steakhouse in Sandusky. I was greeted and seated by a wonderful hostess. She had us choose where we would like to sit. The ambiance was quiet and very comfortable, soft lighting with pleasant music!! The food was awesome!! Shout out to our server, Kristen, who was very attentive to all of our dining needs! Another shout out to Charice, she was very friendly and even went the extra mile to show us how to get to interesting sites that we may like to visit while in Sandusky! After all, we know that half the pleasure of dining out is hospitality, Longhorn Steakhouse was not lacking in this area!! #SatisfiedCustomer

The place radiates friendliness and you truly feel like a regular when you walk in, warmly greeted right away and taken care of the entire duration of your meal. My family had returned after a long day of theme park food and I needed something lite - and their seasonal salad was just what I needed. It was a very generous portion with some of my the sweetest strawberries I've ever had with candied walnuts, feta cheese, and a delicious vinaigrette to go along with it. Skip the theme park dining when you can - or at the very least, supplement it with this delicious cuisine and friendly service.

Our first night in Sandusky landed us in this small tavern right across Lake Erie…read more Very casual vibe and everyone was very accommodating but seemed overwhelmed. For an appetizer, we ordered the wedge salad and the Buffalo Chicken dip. I got the perch dinner for my main course. The kid got a chicken sandwich and my wife got the brisket Mac n cheese. They said that the kitchen was backed up. Honestly, it was totally not an issue. We were just relaxing, watching the game and chilling after a 7 hour drive from NJ. What was an issue was...... appetizers came out exactly the and time as the main courses. WHY????????? It couldn't have taken that long to throw blue cheese, bacon and tomatoes on a chunk of lettuce and pump out the Buffalo Chicken dip and then worry about the main courses later. Now we have to decide, do we want to eat the entrees or even touch the appetizers. That alone always ruins everything. Food was very good. Like I said, people were very nice but you just can't bring everything out at once. Defeats the point of "starting" with something.

My husband, who is extremely picky about meat quality, declared it the best burger he's ever had. Stuffed burgers are notoriously tricky to cook to a preferred well-done without drying out, but the kitchen nailed it! My only minor critique--and this is just personal preference as a bit of a seasoning buff--is the perch. The fish itself was amazingly fresh, which is the most important detail, but the fried batter was a little plain for my taste. I would've loved a kick of Old Bay or extra seasoning in the batter, similar to how amazingly seasoned the fries were! All in all, this spot is a great hidden gem in Sandusky. Highly recommend stopping in!

The food was great, waiting for it... Not so good…read more To be fair, it was packed on a Friday night. We waited 45 minutes to get a salad, it was a Caesar salad salad and they were already out of Romain dressing at 7 PM on a Friday night. We had a Caesar salad salad with spring mix instead... No big deal. The portions were huge, but our dinner came in an hour and 15 minutes after we sat down. It was painfully slow, I will say our waitress was apologetic and helpful. And I know that it was busy, but it's really no excuse for it to look so dirty. It only takes a minute to sweep under a table after a party leaves. The bathroom was deplorable, there was water on the floor and muddy footprints everywhere. The napkins on the ground around the tables along with discarded french fries and shrimp tails were a bit gross. The food is five star, the rest... ehhhhh

(See separate review for CLAG Brewing.) On arrival, it was mostly empty as it had just opened, but were told it would fill up. That was hard to believe as the place is huge, with multiple bar areas, tables of different sizes, and lots of standing. However, by the time we left it was filled! We sat at the main bar so we could talk to the owner. Our day had started with other breweries, so we were hungry and I'm glad we saved our tummies to dine here. I live in a city with tons of amazing Vietnamese restaurants, but this place blew them all away with maybe the most flavorful pho I've ever had. A huge bowl, not overly salty, with fresh produce and great flavor. Some of their beers are brewed perfectly to go with these zesty citrus flavors, so you really can't go wrong eating and drinking together. As I knew this was my only visit this trip, I also ordered a plate of fried rice which was also fantastic and I loved trying their sauces with it. Prices are so reasonable for the quality here. If you're a fan of Vietnamese food, great beer, and cool vibes, this is a must visit spot!

The sours they had were all smoothie type, and I did not like any of their flavors. Fried pork dumplings 9/10 Good dumpling, decent dipping sauce, not super gingery, which was nice for me. Caterpillar roll 10/10 Really good. Didn't really taste the shrimp much, but the flavor profile and combination of ingredients was good. The spicy mayo was not really spicy, but it was a good flavor. Spider roll 8/10 I actually wasn't a huge fan, maybe I don't like soft shell crab as much as regular crab. It was just a little plain to me, and needed either more eel sauce or another sauce in addition.

But if you are expect good seafood, good drink, good views, and a good place to rest after the park...this is your spot. Casual elegant is the name of the game. Service is always great, but the bar seems to run a little slow. The seafood is very good with some local choices. Our servers and trainee were polite, but the bar drinks and food were inexcusable for a pricey dinner service. Gordon Ramsay would've been screaming. 1) Everything took forever to come out. It was 2 hours from being seated to being served entrees. We had a large group (18), but the restaurant was not busy at the time we were eating, with only a handful of other tables occupied. Our servers claimed that the bartender and kitchen staff were both new, but I have no way to verify that. 2) My wife and I ordered the vegetarian dishes, which turned out to both be completely absurd. $40 for "Mushroom Risotto" that had either been cooked without any sauce whatsoever or thoroughly mummified under a heat lamp while the other dishes were being prepared. It was crispy! Risotto is, by every acceptable measure, not crispy. The veggie burger was somehow more depressing, but was edible - in the same way that Soylent is food. A pale, dry, flavorless rice patty, with lettuce and a slice of tomato, on a decidedly *not* Brioche bun. Just use an Impossible burger or Beyond burger, at least those are expensive enough to justify the cost of the dish! 3) My bar drinks, both Lemon Drops (as listed on the menu!) came in different styles of glasses and were very different pours. The 4 kids at our tables that ordered Shirley Temples received what could be charitably called "a variety of recipes" with some having cherries, some not, and immediately sparking arguments between them. Overall, the service could not save what turned out to be a disappointment for our entire extended family. Flee, and do not return.
