Mozzarella sticks were just what we needed. They were delicious. Not the biggest cheese pull BUT the flavor and crunch is there. My daughter's kids pizza was great. Kid approved. Danny Boys is a great place to get a good pizza, sprinkled with a dose of nostalgia. There are plenty of Frank Sinatra and Marilyn Monroe posters plastered on the walls. There are games to play while you wait for your meal. There are also happy hour specials during the week. We had the honey bee pizza, and the combo of spicy and sweet was excellent. Ordered takeout. Bistro Chicken salad was really good and large enough for two. Chicken provided on the side which I appreciated. Medium Deluxe Calzone with sauce on the inside was excellent. Crisp enough outside to hold up to being picked up and the filling was perfect. Plenty of cheese and meats but the real winner was that the onions and peppers still had a little crisp bite to them and not mushy. Donut holes made a nice dessert to finish the meal. read more

I was looking for a kid friendly restaurant and found this place on Yelp. Upon entering it did not feel very welcoming there were lots of signs with rules posted. The place was empty other than one or two table during a Friday lunch time. I felt that the kids meals were pricey so I decided on getting a pizza, salad, and soup for us to share. The soup was broccoli cheddar and more broth based than creamy. The pizza and salad came and any looked appetizing. The pizza although appearing cooked sort of tasted soggy. They also gave us garlic bread and it tasted day old and reheated. I think this is more of an evening restaurant for couples. read more

My kid was craving a grilled cheese, and I saw that this place had one so we gave it a try. I will be honest, he did not care for his grilled cheese because it's more of a calzone so I ended up getting him a pepperoni pizza instead. Not only was service outstanding, the place itself was pretty cool. But let me tell you about the star of the night, the honeybee pizza! I've been to Danny Boys a few times as I traveled this area often. Let me just say if you want good pizza, Danny Boys is the place. They have several options to pick from off their menu as well as build your own. They also have an excellent drink selection along with my favorite Fatheads Bumbleberry. They also have sandwiches and salads to select from as well. The restaurant has a nice feel along with some high top tables and the service has always been pretty good. Loved this place. Easy parking in a plaza style lot. We were seated immediately (on a Saturday night) with a choice of indoor or patio dining. We sat at a high top table in the main area. Our server was very quick and attentive. The theme of the restaurant was Frank Sinatra - so much to see! I had the chicken fettuccine Alfredo and my husband had a woogie. It was a combo of a calzone and Stromboli. We both LOVED our food. Mine was enough for a second meal the next day. It was warm inside, A/C seemed maybe on overdrive or too many people in there for dinner. Our server was great. We ordered a medium pizza NY style, it was 8 slices but the slices were very small like kids size and the pizza was small maybe a 6" diameter for 22.49 (we ordered pepperoni but got cheese); Angel hair with meat sauce (big portion, very good) but the bread knot was hard, inedible. Our server was great went above and beyond. But the waitress helping run food was rude and dropping the food on the table and not caring where she put it . She nearly knocked over my son's water but before I could say anything she was gone. But the food was to die for . We had the margarita pizza and we made our own meat lovers pizza and the crust and flavors were great. My son had the meatballs and he said they melted in his mouth they were so good. The food is very solid, I had gotten their bow tie bread and it was exceptional. Then for the main course I had gotten their margarita pizza, the mozzarella was very delightful a long with the basil on it. The lighting was very nice, and had a great atmosphere. Stopped in for their salad bar and pizza buffet. The salad bar and pasta were both top notch as was the soup (French onion). The pizza unfortunately was lousy with ZERO sauce (so cheese bread would be more accurate). We made sure to get extra tomato sauce from the pasta offering on the salad bar to dip the pizza (bread) in. My husband and I went there for lunch with another couple and I ordered the sandwich, that was supposed to have chicken and lots of cheese. Danny Boys is a great place if you like pizza, pasta and general bar food. The gluten free pizza was good and if you order a bottle of wine they give you free bread sticks which my mom devoured. The meat eaters pizza, my mom's choice was too greasy for anyone in the family to eat. My gluten free pizza was really good. I wish the salads here were a little more 'green', not sure if it was mixed iceberg and Romain but there was really no mixed greens with the mixed green salad. Recommend skipping the salads here as it's not what they do best. Glutenous food is their specialty and they do it very well. The outdoor patio is very cute with strung lights and decorative walls. If you're staying at Kalahari, don't be lazy. Pack up the gang & drive 1 measly mile away for great food! You'll pay a fraction of the price & probably take food back to your mini fridge. We started with artichoke spinach dip which is served with tortilla chips but also these delicious tender warm (maybe pita) bread slices. The side salads are large. The chicken tenders are real chicken breasts. Fries appear to be hand cut variety. My teen could only eat half but also enjoyed the second half for breakfast the next morning. California Dreaming pizza was so good & also for breakfast leftover. Waitress was top notch providing drink refills before we ran dry & offering lids for to go containers of pizza sauce, ranch & ketchup. Don't settle for over priced mediocre resort food. It wasn't horrible...honestly if I didn't pay over $50 for 2 pizzas and a bread I probably wouldn't have left the review. But definitely mediocre to average pizza at best. I regret not just getting Little Cesar's. The regular pepperoni pizza was doughy in the middle. And the Chicago pizza had the strangest sausage I have ever eaten. We ordered takeout here as we were confused whether or not we can dine in and you can dine in with limited seating. We ordered a medium size Chicago deep dish pizza. The pizza is different than what you expect as it is tomato sauce a slab of Italian sausage and more bread layer than the typical Chicago deep dish where it is top with toppings instead of more bread. The pizza itself was good no less as the bread taste makes up with it. I would say fresh is better than the next day. We ordered the Italian soup as well and that was good.
