Buffalo Chicken

We had a really lovely time at the brick oven bistro for dinner tonight! We came around 6:30 and it wasn't too busy so we were able to be seated right away. Our server, Dwayne, was so fun and made our meal even better by his quick quit And personable nature. I ordered the buffalo chicken pizza without onions or banana peppers and my nephew ordered the Italian stallion. My pizza was so delicious! I love the three cheeses that they use for all of their pizzas, *cue the cheese stretching reel*. It was the perfect balance of buffalo sauce and ranch dressing, I was originally concerned that the ranch dressing would be too overpowering, but it was phenomenal. I wish there would've been a little bit more chicken, but overall the pizza was great! My nephew also really loved his Italian stallion And we ended up finishing both of our pizzas! We left stuffed!!

Whilst traveling to Sandusky I was able to discover this location. I discovered online that they had vegan cheese options. When traveling often it is hard to find vegan options last minute at night. The staff were very friendly and accommodating the chef noted that they use a soy based butter for many of their pizzas and he asked if I would like it. I have to say that there was ample parking around the establishment with handicap accessible parking immediately out front. I really enjoyed the vegan calzone however the size for the personal was extremely small and I expected something slightly larger. Overall I'll definitely check out this location again however I wish they offered plant-based/vegan meat to place in some of their dishes.

We were visiting from the Kansas City area, where we have amazing dining options. We had not been overly impressed with the food we had found in the Sandusky area in the four days that we had been there and chose this place on our last day there based on reviews. The Brick Oven Bistro did not disappoint! They don't use the word in any of their marketing or menu, but the pizzas here can absolutely be described as "artisanal"! The dough is freshly made not frozen, the ingredients are fresh, it was simply amazing pizza! We also got a calzone and it was every bit as good and fresh as the pizza. Because everything is made fresh, it takes a little extra time, but it is well worth the wait! If you're in the Sandusky area, I can't recommend this place enough. The interior is clean, but not overly impressive. The food on the other hand...fantastic!

The food was delicious, the waitress was attentive and friendly. We waited entirely way too long for dinner. It took over an hour to get our food.

Dinner tonight at The Brick Oven Bistro was awesome! It was our first visit and everything was excellent. We had a great server, Olivia! She was super friendly and very attentive. We had the zucchini fries, the personal size margherita pizza and I had the Pinot Grigio. We really enjoyed everything! I would definitely recommend!

We picked this place due to some of the amazing reviews we read and it still exceeded our expectations. This restaurant is only a few minutes down the road from Cedar Point and has plenty of parking. We got there at about 6:30, were seated right away, and had our waiter at the table less than a minute later. They have an extensive beer and wine menu but since we were driving home after, we stuck to water. With 2 adults and 2 teens, we ordered 2 large pizzas to split. The kids had a large cheese and my husband and I had the meatball. So delicious. The sauce was really good and the basil on our pizza was a nice touch. Our server, Durond, was attentive, friendly, and a great conversationalist, despite being a Cleveland Browns fan (Go Steelers!) I'd recommend checking this place out. Whether you are local or just visiting, it has a nice ambiance, delicious food, and friendly people.

Service was very slow for it not being very busy. Food was delicious. Family friendly place.

Shrimp Curry Pizza

I visited Brick Oven Bistro on my own a few weeks ago and the staff and other patrons were very friendly and helpful. My server answered all of my questions and shared her favorite appetizers and pizzas since it my first time eating there. I ordered the stuffed mushrooms which were good but a little under seasoned and the Curry Shrimp pizza which was the weekly special and it was delicious! I'll definitely visit Brick Oven Bistro the next time I'm in Sandusky and I look forward to trying other items on the menu.

Gluten free Pear Gorgonzolla

I give this place 4 stars for their service. When I called in the order the person taking it was insightful and knowledgeable with my gluten free request and pleasant. It was a busy night for them so my pizza was done in 30 min. I ordered the pear gorgonzola pizza on gluten free with no walnuts and arugula. I found it was over powered with onion so the next time I would order non or light onion. Other than that it was tasty. One size for gluten free and total was $16

Italian Stallion

I was in town for business and stopped by because of the great Yelp reviews. I had the buffalo wings and the Italian stallion pizza. The wings were crunchy and delicious. The pizza was so good. Christa was the waitress and she was so nice with great recommendations. I would definitely return if I'm ever in the area again.

Great pizza. Made just as I ordered. My diet is plant-based so it was one of the best vegan pizzas I've ever had. Crust was perfect. Bravo!

Eggplant pizza

We stopped here for dinner after a day at Cedar Point Shores. It was delicious! My husband and I chose a pizza with eggplant as a main topping. Kiddo got a calzone and had no complaints! The restaurant had some call ins the evening we went, so the owner was bussing tables, and getting boxes. Nice to see someone so involved in their establishment! We will return when we're in the area in the future!

What are the vegan options, if any?

We have a portobello mushroom sandwich option available. We also recently started carrying vegan cheese. All of our crust options are vegan.

Again, tons of raw garlic, it definitely needed to be sautéed or roasted (that would make it a 10/10). I liked that they put the noodles and the steak on separate plates. Under new management, the place has continued the Martello family tradition of great, handcrafted food in a hometown setting, but with a bit of an updated vibe. First, they do a fantastic job with gluten free options, and the chef's specials are phenomenal, also often with a GF capability. They have an artisan pizza crust,; tortellini; penne; and a Parmesan cream sauce -- all GF! The pizza crust is really terrific - much more like a "real" crust (which, their regular pizza is something I miss!) and they provide you with topping options that go from routine to delectably less common. I highly recommend their specials -- the chef is super talented; I love the steak tips; chicken Marsala; and fennel sausage (when they have it). Gluten not an issue -- try everything!! The Caesar salad is quite good, and the house Italian dressing a tradition. Their staff is friendly (shout out to Christina and Kate, and my beautiful friend Angie) the bar staff (the awesome Staci and Diann) who are consistently rated best in the area; and upbeat manager Hailey is a delightful presence. You can't go wrong.

This isn't just a restaurant. It's a local institution. A tradition. A memory-maker. I've been going to Marconi's for as long as I can remember. It's where we gathered as a family, brought friends to impress, and celebrated everything from casual weeknights to meaningful milestones. The moment you walk in, you're greeted like an old friend -- because if you've been once, they remember you. That kind of warmth and familiarity? It's rare. But it's part of what makes Marconi's so special. Now let's talk food. Their homemade lasagna is an all-time favorite -- layers of rich sauce, perfectly seasoned meat, and creamy cheese that hits straight to the soul. And the calamari? An absolute must. Lightly breaded, crispy, and always fresh. It's the kind of dish that turns calamari skeptics into lifelong fans. The atmosphere strikes that perfect balance: rustic, welcoming, and just Italian enough to feel like you've been whisked away to a cozy village in the hills of Tuscany. They've got a beautiful outdoor patio for those perfect warm Ohio evenings, and if you're not in the mood to dine in, guess what -- they have a drive-thru. Yep. Top-tier Italian takeout right to your car. Marconi's also goes above and beyond with family menus, banquets, events, and catering. Whether it's a birthday bash, wedding shower, or just dinner for a crowd, they bring their A-game every time. It's that kind of versatility and hospitality that's kept them at the top for so many years. In a world full of chain restaurants and forgettable meals, Marconi's is a place that sticks with you -- for the food, the family feel, and the memories made around the table. An absolute must-visit if you're in Huron. And if you're a local who hasn't been in a while? Go back. They'll still remember you. And it'll still be as good as you remember.
