Consistent service and quality Hubbie had Lake Erie perch sandwich (1/4 pound) and 1 side (bowl of mushroom barley soup) for $18...other person had same with the famous fries which was enough for 4 people. Husband was happy as perch was meaty, not over breaded or overcooked..but will ask for toasted bun next time. I had make it a couple a bowl of soup (4 homemade choices a day) I had mushroom barley and the 1/2 bella rosa salad with chicken..chicken, candied walnuts, coconut, mandarin oranges, spring mix, coultons and green avocado/jalopeno dsg. Monster in my Meal: i've been going to Berardi's for 45 years ever since my parents took me to the Hearing location when it first opened. These days I meet my friends for breakfast on the weekends and we normally have Barb as our waitress. She always does an awesome job and is so kind. Ordered the corned beef hash omelette with a side of sausage gravy and biscuits. Always a favorite and everything on the menu is just awesome. Thanks for all the great service over the years. We were visiting Kalahari and didn't want to eat on site every day. We found this place for an early dinner, and I'm so glad we did! The portions were quite generous. I had the crispy chicken BLT and the bun could not contain the chicken breast. I ended up using a knife and fork, the hallmark of eating a really good hearty sandwich. My husband had the patty melt and enjoyed it. The fries were thick cut but cooked well. We enjoyed dessert, apple pie à la mode for me and peanut butter pie for him. This place has a delicious menu of food and the best chocolate chip cookies I've ever had. I ordered the chicken and fry salad and it had some of the best homestyle fries I've ever had. On the last day of a Fall trip we stopped in for breakfast at Berardi's Family Restaurant on a warm October Friday morning. The full parking lot had the lovely aroma of hamburger - the sign of a perfectly seasoned grill. My wife and I were seated quickly at the back which gave us a view of the whole restaurant. Full of people -- families, retirees, people eating before work -- the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Our server -- Linda-- was friendly, chatty, efficient and took excellent care of us. The coffee was delicious and our cups runneth over with frequent refills. My wife's country omelet was perfect. Cheesy, crisp onions and simply delicious. The homefry heaven was indeed heaven on a plate. The two biscuits were obviously homemade. The sausage gravy was just this side of heaven! Creamy with a captivating sausage taste. The layer of homefrys underneath the eggs, cheese and layer of sausage gravy were crisp and well done. It was a meal that I will remember for quite some time. If you find yourself in Huron. Eat here. I can't believe I have not eaten here until now. My parents would tell me about the Berardi's fries they would get at Cedar Point and how good they were. It took me moving out of state and and a trip back to finally give this place a shot. We managed to get there right before the dinner rush and were sat immediately. Staff was friendly and the place was really clean, that stood out to me. We got the appetizer sampler and they allowed us to get extra mozzarella sticks in place of the onion rings which was nice. The fries were soooo good! So big and cooked perfectly. My hubby said that the Mozz sticks were the best he's every had. Flavorful, crispy coating with fresh cheese inside. The sauerkraut balls were also very good. These are something that I absolutely did not like as a kid, but have a new appreciation for now that I'm older. I liked that the sauerkraut did not overpower them as is the case sometimes. I got the 1/2 chicken salad on toast with a spinach avocado salad. The hubby got the 1/2 grilled ham and cheese and a ceasar salad. The food was so fresh and good! And a perfect portion size with the appetizer as a starter. We also each got a cookie for desert and those were very good as well. Can't wait to stop back next time I'm in town for more fries and to try more food selections. read more

Not a great experience after several amazing stops here. Waited 20 mins for party of 3. They didn't announce they were out of Quinoa patties so when we ordered them we had to re-choose, so we asked to sub the patty for a potato one, (which was 3.59 vs 3.79 a la carte), & they wouldn't do it. If they ran out of something then they should accommodate the customer, especially on an equivalent and reasonable substitution. After changing to another item, my wife wanted to sub meat for fruit & it was a struggle but they finally allowed it. Maybe more vegetarian items should be on the menu if they're running out of quinoa in three hours. I ordered pot roast skillet w/ just the potatoes on the side since I told server I'm diabetic & won't eat the potatoes. My skillet came out as two over-easy eggs with a minuscule amount of pot roast pieces scattered about looking pretty sad. After 12 seconds when my roast was eaten I realized my cheese was melted on the potatoes & not the skillet! & the roast was a tad dry so it could use some gravy or Au jus. The other issue was the slow service, so they must have been short some staff b/c we usually get outta there much faster. Bout hour & a half total for wait + service. Went here twice during my trip to Huron - once for dinner and once for breakfast. Both times my meals were delicious. For dinner I got the seafood bisque to start, which was creamy and had plenty of seafood, as well as the meatloaf dinner with green beans and mashed potatoes. The meatloaf was probably the best I've ever had. Both meals I had to take leftovers home as the portion sizes were generous. Prices are also very reasonable. Our server for breakfast, Alexa, was outstanding; you can tell she really cares about her job and making sure customers are happy. I recommend Berardi's for a delicious meal in Huron. read more

Wow! Everything we had tested fresh, not from a can or a bag. I ll the family had burgers, they all said it was delicious! I had the tuna salad. It was fresh, sweet, with a kiss of onion. Their fries are kinda famous out here...first fries at Cedar Point :) And they have a seafood bisque that they're known for...yum! I ordered on a Friday evening around 5:45pm.i ordered 4 dinners for our family. The lady that took my order was soooo patient, didn't rush, helped me figure a different side, and talked very sweet. Girls trip so we selected this restaurant. We had Alexandra has our server she was a sweetheart! The meals we had perch sandwich delicious. The mile high meat loaf yummy .The seafood bisque delicious. The pasta dish also delicious according to my girl friends we all enjoyed our meals. The pecan cheesecake yummy! We came here based on other reviews on Yelp. This restaurant did not disappoint!! My wife and I both got fish. I had the perch and my wife had the walleye. Both were delicious but the walleye was better in my opinion. Both had a cornmeal breading that was perfectly crispy and the fish was really flaky. The fries were delicious as well. We had to finish out our meal with a slice of peanut butter chocolate pie. That was heavenly! Our server was attentive and kept our drinks full, she had recommendations of what to try and genuinely wanted to be there at the restaurant. Stopped in this establishment on the way to nickel plate beach. I got the lasagna and if I'm being honest it was just ok. It was supposedly the top dish according to the workers. My wife got the checken parm and she liked it a whole lot. The kids really liked there meals as well. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. The place was clean and the service was good. We had driven in from Cleveland to go apple-picking at the orchard earlier in the day. We wanted a quick dinner before a long drive home and this was one of the few restaurants in the area. It's a traditional family-owned Italian restaurant, which was quite busy for a Saturday evening. We waited about 25 minutes for seating but were seated in a cozy booth in the corner. The waitress was wonderful and so sweet. Even though the chicken fettuccine alfredo wasn't officially on the menu, she was able to order it for us. My friend and I were going to split an entree, and they were even able to pre-split the entree before it was served, which was the perfect portion of food. We also were able to get a side of garlic bread with the meal, which we weren't charged for (though it did say extra on the menu). The food was very reasonably priced! They had a whole list of homemade pies on the back and if I wasn't so full from the day's adventures, I likely would have splurged. I would say, this restaurant was on par with Olive Garden in terms of food quality, but the added bonus of small-town hospitality. read more

They attend to your needs even when they are quit busy. Food is always great and a large selection of feel good foods. Get the French Fries they are the beat fries ever. If you've ever had Bernardo's fries from Cedar Point back in the day this is the place to get them. We were a group of 6 who had called for a reservation, but were told they don't take reservations for a party our size. We walked in on a Tuesday and they wanted to seat us at a huge round table where we would never have been able to talk to one another. Coincidentally there was a table of 6 with a Reserved sign. We asked and she said they only take reservations for tables of 10 or more. Clearly not, since the table of 6 was reserved. We opted for a large booth, which was very tight, but manageable. The menu is varied, so there is something for everyone. Our server never mentioned the specials, but we heard her at another table going through them. Why??????? Were we not important enough to mention them??? Service was good, and we did not feel rushed. The soups and salads came out in a timely fashion and were enjoyed by all. Checked this place out while I was in town! The staff was friendly, they had a good variety on their menu, and they also sell pie! I hear their pie is really good, but unfortunately I was not able to try any this trip. I did the "pair it up" and ordered the chicken salad croissant, Caesar salad, and the must have fries. Even though the fries were thicker than I normally prefer, they were really good! The chicken salad croissant was very different as I'd never had chicken salad with what looked to be raisins in it and especially never had it on a croissant! I was surprised at how much I liked the combination and it made for the perfect lunch. We just returned from Berardis in HURON Oh and we did have a good waitress. But I ordered the soup and salad, and my salad greens were not fit for human consumption. I pointed it out to our waitress and she agreed. She said a few minutes later that the manager threw the rest of those greens away. But they didn't offer any compensation, and we even ordered pie to go. I feel they should have given us one piece free due to my salad being horrible!!! Now I know why we have NOT eaten at that Berardis for so long!!! Berardis in Sandusky is SO much better, we'll stick to that Berardis from now on!!! read more
