Marconi's is a classic American-Italian restaurant, that also serves terrific chef's specials weekly. Under new management, the place has continued the Martello family tradition of great, handcrafted food in a hometown setting, but with a bit of an updated vibe. First, they do a fantastic job with gluten free options, and the chef's specials are phenomenal, also often with a GF capability. They have an artisan pizza crust,; tortellini; penne; and a Parmesan cream sauce -- all GF! The pizza crust is really terrific - much more like a "real" crust (which, their regular pizza is something I miss!) and they provide you with topping options that go from routine to delectably less common. I highly recommend their specials -- the chef is super talented; I love the steak tips; chicken Marsala; and fennel sausage (when they have it). Gluten not an issue -- try everything!! The Caesar salad is quite good, and the house Italian dressing a tradition. Their staff is friendly (shout out to Christina and Kate, and my beautiful friend Angie) the bar staff (the awesome Staci and Diann) who are consistently rated best in the area; and upbeat manager Hailey is a delightful presence. You can't go wrong. read more

Have been going here every year with 6 people for dinner on an annual fishing trip. But will no longer. The rudeness we received because my uncle brought in an empty beer can looking for a garbage can from one of the waitstaff in the bar has soured us on visiting again Condescending and abrubt when she told him like he was a child and all he was asking was where he could dispose of the can. | Marconi's Italian Restaurant -- Huron's Heart, Italy's Soul If you're heading to Huron, Ohio -- whether you're visiting family, passing through, or lucky enough to call it home -- do yourself a favor and make a stop at Marconi's Italian Restaurant. This isn't just a restaurant. It's a local institution. A tradition. A memory-maker. I've been going to Marconi's for as long as I can remember. It's where we gathered as a family, brought friends to impress, and celebrated everything from casual weeknights to meaningful milestones. The moment you walk in, you're greeted like an old friend -- because if you've been once, they remember you. That kind of warmth and familiarity? It's rare. But it's part of what makes Marconi's so special. Now let's talk food. Their homemade lasagna is an all-time favorite -- layers of rich sauce, perfectly seasoned meat, and creamy cheese that hits straight to the soul. And the calamari? An absolute must. Lightly breaded, crispy, and always fresh. It's the kind of dish that turns calamari skeptics into lifelong fans. The atmosphere strikes that perfect balance: rustic, welcoming, and just Italian enough to feel like you've been whisked away to a cozy village in the hills of Tuscany. They've got a beautiful outdoor patio for those perfect warm Ohio evenings, and if you're not in the mood to dine in, guess what -- they have a drive-thru. Yep. Top-tier Italian takeout right to your car. Marconi's also goes above and beyond with family menus, banquets, events, and catering. Whether it's a birthday bash, wedding shower, or just dinner for a crowd, they bring their A-game every time. It's that kind of versatility and hospitality that's kept them at the top for so many years. In a world full of chain restaurants and forgettable meals, Marconi's is a place that sticks with you -- for the food, the family feel, and the memories made around the table. An absolute must-visit if you're in Huron. And if you're a local who hasn't been in a while? Go back. They'll still remember you. And it'll still be as good as you remember. read more

When we are in Huron we always stop to eat at Marconi's. Takeout gluten free pizza and salads or eating in. They never disappoint. They do a great job with gluten free. I have Celiac's and very sensitive. I have been there many times in the past 3 years. read more

Bad Hostess, Bad service and bad food; your choice; this place has all 3. We sat, ordered drinks, that never came to be told by the hostess that our waitress was helping a private party. Food was terrible. Hostess then snubbed us on the way out. Get pizza at your local spot before going here. Avoid it. read more

Marconi's is a local, classic Italian restaurant. The food portions are large and there's many options on the menu. I decided to create my own pasta, which was nice because I could customize it to my own taste. We got the crème brûlée for dessert and it was so delicious. We decided to come here for Mother's Day and the staff made sure to make my mother sure to show my mother she was appreciated. Overall, Marconi's is a great restaurant and I would love to return in the future. read more

Our service was on point. I really enjoyed my pasta dish which was on special. Our waitress said when it's on the specials list people order it like crazy. Pink sauce. I think they could dial it up a notch with freshly grated cheese. It's family owned which means a lot to me. The prices are very normal. I would go back when in town. read more

Ugh! I just don't understand why this place gets business. I'm an Italian and there are a lot of Italians in my city. Italians don't patronize this restaurant but other folks do. I'm saying this because they claim it's an Italian restaurant but being an Italian myself, I don't believe it's that authentic. Their sauce is too sweet, too thin, and too tasteless. I don't like going to an ala carte restaurant where you have pay extra for a salad or topping, etc. This place gets lots of customers, but not Italian customers. In fact, Berardi's has better Italian food than Marconi's. read more

Marconi's was a cute little place to stop on our way to Kalahari. I got the small order of angel hair with alfredo and it was a great portion size and tasted great! My friends got a gluten free margarita pizza and I tried it and it was very good! They also got a regular pepperoni pizza and said it was very good and it looked good! Service was good and quick. I liked it. They also had a dessert tray they brought around, and we got a gluten free chocolate torte cake and a chocolate peanut butter cake to go! I would definitely come back here again. read more

What a great place for Italian food. I have not been there in years, but we gave it a try on a Friday. We beat the Friday evening crowd and was very pleased with food, ambience, and of course our waitress. We started off with the Garlic Loaf with Cheese for and appetizer that was great! We enjoyed chicken parm and Veal parm. Both came out perfect! I would recommend to family and friends. read more

I have been to this restaurant quite a few times but I've never tried the pizza. They have a gluten-free cauliflower crust and a artesian gluten-free crust to choose from for gluten free options. I ordered the artisan gluten free with cheese. It was so good! The crust tasted homemade and the sauce was for sure from scratch. It was perfectly done. Adult and toddler approved! The drive up window was super convenient to pick up our food. Ordering on the phone was easy and they were polite. read more

The server was so attentive and personable. The side salads came first and were a perfect app before our mahi and Lake Erie yellow perch entrees. The yellow perch was delicately fried in a light breading and came with tartar sauce and broccoli which was the veggie of the day. My mark was in excellent portion and super healthy with romesco sauce and broccoli. It wasn't too filling or greasy at all! read more

What a nice surprise. Good food, friendly service, and great drinks. There was a 30 minute wait and so we headed into the bar. I'm glad there was wait as the bar was great. Thanks Stacy for the great cocktails! There is a nice cocktail and wine list. My wife had a cosmopolitan while I had the Kimhattan which was bourbon and aperol. Great drinks at good prices. Onto dinner and I had the pork saltimbocca while my wife had Pasta alla Anna. Both were delicious. This is a nice neighborhood Italian pizzeria restaurant. We will definitely be back. Thanks Layne for the great service! read more

I love coming here and sitting on the back patio among the flowers and the herb garden. I've come here for my birthday two years in a row. The dipping bread, the French onion soup, and the alfredo are super good! The chocolate cake is just okay, but the peach and the pistachio cheesecake are super duper delish. Would definitely recommend coming after a day at the lake or for a date night. The servers are always very sweet and helpful as well. read more

My wife and I went her Saturday. Very friendly staff and pretty quick with service. The food wasn't bad but just okay, we've had better, but would go back. The reason for the three stars is I told the waitress I did not want the salad with my meal so she offered me soup instead. Little did I know she charged me extra for the soup. It wasn't a lot extra but when you say you don't want a salad and they offer the soup instead I think it is included not an additional charge because I didn't really want the soup either. Just disappointed in our server and will not fall for that trick again. read more

This pizza isn't really a pizza. Not only was the pizza really small but it didn't have traditional pizza sauce. They used spaghetti sauce. It was terrible. I am a self confessed Pizza Snob and this is quite a bit below the mark. I will not be recommending this. read more

We love Marconi's! We're in the area from time-to-time, and when we are, Marconi's is an easy choice. Speaking from a purely takeout perspective, I can't tell you how nice it is to have a restaurant that offers takeout with a drive-up pick-up window. Especially during COVID, this is so deeply appreciated. Marconi's serves up the delicious pasta, pizza and traditional Italian dishes that feel like their made by your friend's Italian grandma (or at least in my case). You can never go wrong with the spaghetti and meatballs with meat sauce, which comes with a salad. The value for a meal here is awesome. The restaurant staff is always super friendly. While we've never dined inside, we've tried the spaghetti and meatballs, the chicken piccata and the chicken marsala as our go-to favorites. The piccata sauce is excellent with a great lemon flavor. If you're in need of a reliable (in the best way), Marconi's is the place to-go in Huron! We're never disappointed by this family-owned restaurant. read more

Updating my review...really enjoy the tofu ravioli that was added to the menu (thank you!). We always enjoy dinner and the great service at Marconi's and already planning a family dinner there during the holidays. read more

The restaurant is so cute! The food was amazing! Our server was great and over all was an awesome experience!

This is the worst Italian food I've ever had. Service was slow and rude, the food was very expensive, and everything tasted like it was made by someone who found themselves in the kitchen for the first time that morning. read more

Had the opportunity to come here for a large family dinner and came away with a very solid and good experience. This is a classic Italian-American place where you'll find all the classic dishes prepared well. I however chose to order as part of my dish something more local, and was not disappointed as the fried Yellow Perch fresh from Lake Erie was delicious accompanied with a fine steak. The service was decent but a tad slow for a large party in a private room like we were. Everything was very good but I would not say it was mind-blowing good Italian food- but an excellent option for a nice family meal. read more

Marconi's Italian Restaurant - Pizza Near Me - Huron, Ohio

Clean and spacious restaurant which follows the guideline for COVID. Restaurant has a nice great patio and indoor seating. Server was helpful and attentive. Started my order with mozzarella sticks for appetizer. For entree, ordered Pollo Gorgonzola which came with a house salad and fresh baked bread. Mozzarella sticks were good; however the entree was a little too heavy and missing some flavors. Overall, it was an okay experience for dinner at Huron, OH. read more

Good basic Italian dinner with generous bread and salad. Prices are higher than shown online

If I could give zero stars I would...waited over a hour only to be told it was our fault we ordered French Onion soup (that came out cold) and pizza their oven was behind. Manager continued to argue "in their defense" we ordered soup that is an appetizer and that is why our food still wasn't out. Asked if she could bring out other entrees...then one person at the table would have had to watch us eat. Manager was so rude she said "would you let me talk." Friday night at 6:00 pm with a half full Restaurant. I would hate to see wait time if it was actually busy. read more

Haven't been there in some time . It was a very pleasant experience . My basil & tomato sauce was delicious ! I asked for it to be a spicy . The chef made it perfect ! My three companions has lasagna and spaghetti & meatballs . The small orders were huge ! Three of us took the rest home for lunch . The salad could use a little help . Service was great ! I'll be back . read more

Food was good. Service was excellent - fast and very friendly. I had the pappardelle bolognese and a cranberry salad. The salad was excellent. The bolognese was a little bland. My wife had the pancetta with mashed potatoes. The pancetta was a little dry but had a wonderful flavor. read more

This place seriously sucks..terrible terrible service, waits are twice the time they tell you it will be and then hardly give you any attention..overpriced and average..save your time and go somewhere else read more

I have to give this place a solid meh. For appearance it seems to have been decorated in a Tuscan motif but not maintained. There is a huge bus/server station smack dab in the middle if the floor. Weird. It was very slow. Server was not the best as refills came slowly. One of the menu specials featured fresh broccoli...my son loves broccoli so when he ordered he wanted a side of broccoli....to which the server told us they didn't have broccoli. I showed her the menu... she checked with the kitchen and they advised they do have broccoli bit bits frozen... now I'm confused. I ordered chicken parmesan and tje pasta came on a different plate than the chicken. The sauce was salty yet bland and watery. The breading on the chicken was waterlogged from the sauce and fell off. Kind of gross. I know it's been around for 50 years or so but it's in need of new talent. read more

Food is always amazing. Worth every penny. Next time you go in ask for Zach to be your server. Always takes great care of us.

This place is the absolute best. People are friendly, atmosphere is upper scale but not intimidating, and the food is delicious! Conner was our waiter and I couldn't have asked for a better one. He was virtuous and professional. He checked in on us periodically and was very helpful. Super nice guy, he deserves a raise and the best tip you can afford. I'm from Indianapolis and stopped in the town of Huron on our way to cedar point from Cleveland and I have to say I do not at all regret stopping here to have dinner. EAT HERE IF YOU CAN! It's a little pricey but nothing crazy compared to most Italian places and it's totally worth it! read more

Love this place! I like that they have vegan and GF options. Great family owned business and lovely patio area.

Magnifico! The food was outstanding, but almost couldn't compete with the ever amazing Ella! Ella provide so much warmth, and care for us during our experience at Marconi's. She made amazing recommendations, and made us feel like family. I couldn't have asked for a better experience! read more

Last night must have been the c-team because I love Marconi's. I drive an hour to get here. The tomato basil sauce did not have fresh ingredients and the jarred garlic over powdered the dish. It really was awful. Chicken parmesan not crispy and hot but the meat sauce was delicious as always. Disappointing that the dessert tray came out wrapped in plastic and lacking appeal. The bartender served my wine dripping all over so I had to clean my glass first. I dont mind paying $20 for a plate of pasta when all the components of a great dining experience come together but last night service lacked in every way. I would have given 3 stars but this used to be my favorite Italian place hands down. read more

After seeing advertising since mid April for Mother's Day specials we decided to order today. Called around 3pm for 6:30pm pickup. They would not take payment over the phone & was there@ 6:10 pm & told to pay @ the window in which we were told to park & they're be out personally to collect out payment. 2 other workers were out along for names & orders about 7 pm. Still haven't been out to get our payment. Finally go to window around 7:30 pm to be told our order will be another 30 min at least!! Hi up 30 min later go to window... Told it's being packed & asked for full payment. They will give a couple canolis for our "wait". Still waiting 15 more minutes!! Got home to cold good & not what was dosed to be in our family meal!! So dissatisfied!! We regular this place but will strongly think twice now!! read more

The place is quite dated, kind of smelly, changed the pizza crust to for the worst , And generally unexciting. I've been coming there for 50 years and not sure what happened. read more

We went here with my parents, and their friends, both visiting from out of town and staying in Vermilion; not a perfect meal, but it exceeded my expectations and had lots of delicious bites. I had the Pesto Asparagus Pasta on the recommendation of my waitress and it was great - the flavor was light and green and creamy. My dad and his friend had the Italian sausage (dad with peppers and pasta, friend as a side with ziti, because he was concerned about it being too spicy) and they were both pleased. My mom had Pasta Julia, angel hair with olives and shrimp, and she liked it, my husband had delicious Gorgonzola pasta, and our last eater had the manicotti and was a fan. The bread and salads were average , though I do recommend the arugula and golden beet salad, and I completely recommend the dessert plate of assorted cookies - delicious. This is a great family restaurant with a warm atmosphere; I'd absolutely return to sample more on the menu. read more

The last time we visited this place was 15 years ago; the food was tasteless. Tonight we gave it another chance and... the food was tasteless. I ordered a Mahi-Mahi (blackened and grilled, miso-lime couscous, mango compote, veggie) and my husband a Sautéed Beef Tips. His choice of veggie was broccoli. When it arrived, it was (over cooked) green beans... Beef tips were not so bad, but had not a drop of salt or anything else. Same with my food. The misso-lime probably just peeked at the couscous, but left no trace. The mango compote was merely a few cut up pieces of mango. And the green beans, that should have been broccoli, were over cooked. What a fiasco. read more
