Found this place using the Yelp app!! I can tell you that the food here waa fantastic!! The pork, beef and cheese fries were maybe the best appetizer we have had in 2021. The menu was very extensive and really makes us want to come back for more. Just a 1 hr drive away would be no problem. My friend and I were looking for a place to eat after stopping at the beach in vermilion. When we were pulling into a parking lot of one restaurant, we noticed this little gem. I have seen it advertised on Facebook and I never knew where it was located. We decided to stop here instead. The place is very inviting. The staff was extremely friendly. Our server came by several times to make sure we were doing okay or to see if we needed anything. All is the food was delicious. My family has ordered from Jim's twice now. They carry pizza, salads, calzones, sandwiches, appetizers and wings mostly. Full disclosure that I've never been inside. But their parking lot always seems full! We enjoy trying wings and liked that we could order drumsticks or flats. The wings were well-cooked, meaty and appropriately sauced. Really just darn good wings with BBQ sauce! The meatball sandwich was also just right. I liked the homemade meatball and pizza sauce on the toasted sub...it was seriously the perfect amount of food with a side of kettle chips. Great value at Jim's and it appears they're a well-oiled machine because both times, our order was ahead of schedule. I love that you can order online for pick-up or delivery from their huge menu. I have had very good pizza here but just got Garlic /cheese bread that had black burn marks on the bottom.and wings that were not at all crisp and slathered what was called Hot Garlic Parmesan sauce that was mostly Buffalo sauce that I don't care for. Really pleased with the pizza. I only dropped a star as I think there could have been more toppings. Had a pizza with sausage and green peppers. Peppers were fresh and crisp, sausage was cooked well and flavorful. Really enjoyed the crust. It's thin and crispy on the edges, but also fluffy and light. Overall I think the pizza was cooked really well, cheese was nice and melty and a very even bake. We also tried the sauerkraut balls and they were really tasty. Crispy and stuffed with kraut. The menu overall is great, everyone should be able to find something they like. After seeing one I was jealous of the calzone... The decor and feel of the place is great. Cozy with a great bar. Based on reviews, I decided to try the pizza. I should say there was nothing terrible about this pizza. It was cooked through and the ingredients seemed fresh enough. It was just nothing special. So disappointing that I put a note on my phone so I wont order again from here. I dont say this lightly but the chains like Pizza Hut and Marco's make a better pizza than this. We came by recommendation from a friend. We had the deep dish pizza with extra cheese and banana peppers. The crust was amazing and we would rate this as one of our favorites in the pizza category. I must be a pizza snob ... all the great reviews convinced me to try Jim's pizza twice. The first was a pepperoni the first week Vermilion opened. It wasn't bad, but nothing special. I thought maybe it was just due to the grand opening & their being busy so we tried them again last night. This time, we got the deluxe - again not bad, but nothing special. The pepperoni seems ordinary, the sausage reminds me of cut up breakfast links and the rest of the toppings were unremarkable. Compared to other places within driving distance, and the cost of the pizza, I think there are better choices. Smokin Joe's has more flavor (although consistency is sometimes a concern); Woodstock has a great 'meaty' pizza that always is good (flavorful & unique); my favorite though has to be Lorenzo's in Oberlin. It's a bit of a drive (especially with the bridge detour), but always consistently good. Their pepperoni has a nice spice to it, their sausage tastes homemade and the cheese puts it over the top. We'll probably try Jim's again in the future (I want to eat inside as it looks really nice) ... maybe their pastas and salads will be more impressive? read more

We ordered from Jim's Pizza Box for the first time. Two large pizzas, two orders of garlic bread with cheese, baked spaghetti, a gyro wrap, and a cheese calzone. With tip, $80. Overall, it was worth the price. The grandkids loved the pizza, the wife enjoyed the spaghetti, our daughter liked her calzone, and my gyro wrap was delicious. However, we didn't care for the coleslaw. My wife thought it had a vinegar taste. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the online ordering system. It would tell you what came with a wrap or pasta dish but you still had to select those come-alongs in order to get them. At least I know that now and next time I will be able to give 5 . read more

Hands down best pizza in the area! We have been huge fans of their Huron location for years and were thrilled when they opened up a Vermilion restaurant. All of the pizzas are phenomenal (we have a soft spot for the Taco Supreme and Old World Sausage & Pepper) and all of the pasta dishes with the meat sauce are delicious! We didn't have plates for the first ten minutes we had our pizza and never received a drink refill. Seemed like we only saw our server twice. Went to Jim's Pizza Box when it first opened and got pizzas from them. Although I thought they were overpriced the pizza was outstanding so I overlooked the premium pricing. After our first pizzas we got them again on two occasions and the quality wasn't quite what it was the first time we ordered but it was still good. We decided to give them another try this past weekend and the pizzas were terrible. The sauce tasted like a cheap canned grocery store sauce and the toppings were minimal at best. One of the pizzas was ordered with extra cheese, you couldn't tell it from the one with regular cheese. Considering the pizzas were almost $29.00 for two mediums they were far from a bargain nor did the quality live up to the price. Considering there are many other pizzerias that provide much better pizza for a more reasonable price we will not be returning to Jim's Pizza Box. I wish them the best but I have a feeling unless they change the quality of their product they will not be around too long. read more

This is going to be my go to for calzones and pizza. Was there with a group of friends and we had a great time. The patio (which was were we sat) was very cozy but the inside was very nice to. BEST WINGS I've ever had. No contest. I lived in Norway five years and traveled to over 25 countries. The one thing I missed more than anything was the chicken wing. So uniquely American and surprisingly difficult to do based on all the failed turns I have experienced. Moving back to the US, I craved them and allowed myself to indulge on them often. Unfortunately I had so many bad ones, I swore off ordering wings anywhere. But then I found the Jim's in Huron. The traditional Hot & Spicy resurrected the wing on my dining horizon. I would go to Jim's anytime I was passing through. It was absolute Epicurean intervention when Jim's opened the Vermilion location, and with a full bar. Being two minutes away has allowed me to explore the menu more. Haven't had a bad meal yet. Wings still my fav but jalapeño calzone, Smitty sub, and the thin crust pizza are rising in the ranks and worth a trip. I always eat at the bar so only know the service across the stick. Professional, personable, and pleasing every time. Open design and layout with TVs visible from every vantage point cater to both casual diners and sports fans. read more
