    Steak skillet special
    Quentin T.

Good food, good service, ultra causal atmosphere, & very reasonable prices for the portions. Just a few of the reasons to give your business to a place named "big boppers". Brought my in laws here for brunch on the way out to see the lighthouse & do some scenic driving & it did not disappoint. They are simple small town Ohioans who do not like fancy & abnormal environments so a low key place like this fit their preferences perfectly. Menu had plenty of options & there were specials on a board when we came in that caught my eye. I asked the waitress to pick between two items off the special board for me & she went with a steak & eggs type dish that was very good & filling. Had some of the best toast I've had anywhere too. I think mine was just $9. Unless you are real uppity I think it would be hard to not enjoy eating here.

The portions were perfect, the service was so friendly and quick and everything was so well priced! Cute little diner with a lot of interesting adds on the table. Will be coming back

We took our granddaughters for breakfast this morning. There was a short wait to be seated but it wasn't a long wait. The service and the food were amazing. I would highly recommend you stop in and enjoy their food.

Nice little diner. Parking and tables are limited, so plan for that. The food is good and it's fast.

We had come for the perch dinner and they were out. We then ordered our drinks and a couple appetizers, they were also out of the first two appetizers we picked. The waitress apologized and told us to call ahead before we come next time because they run out of a lot of things! So she put our drink order in and after awhile came back and told us she was sorry but the bartender must have lost our order or something. We did finally get our drinks, but not until after our appetizers. My husband got the grouper sandwich and said it was good. I got the perch sandwich and the perch had no flavor at all and there was only a dab of tarter, about the size of a nickle! I've gotten better perch sandwiches at the drive thru! The waitress was kind and apologetic, but food was very disappointing! We ordered 2 sandwiches, two drinks, two appetizers and split their key lime tart )they call it pie, it is not pie). Our bill was $124. for the two of us. Really can't recommend.

The prices are good and most of us ate the perch sandwich which was delicious and coated in a tasty breading. The doors were open and the outside patio featured tables and a firepit which was lit. On weekends there are musicians playing. Recommend this restaurant for great food and service. Lynda

After visiting the area for many summers we finally tried this place on a Thursday night as their kitchen was open til a decent hour. We were immediately impressed with the complimentary chips and amazing salads trio that was both fresh and oh so good. I was not familiar with fried salmon( I always enjoy it grilled, broiled, or baked) so I tried the taco featuring three delicately fried pieces topped with pickled onions and a medley of fresh veggies. I swapped my mixed fries for the street corn which did not disappoint but after sampling my husband's mixed fries I realized I made the wrong choice as the mixed fries are out of this world. Similarly, the birria tacos are juicy perfection that I now see why are the popular choice on the menu. Get them. You won't regret it. A seasonal peach margarita also blew my doors off as it was made with fresh and real ingredients - no prep made syrups here. The beautifully preserved lime and peach and choice of rim only added to the wow factor. We left full, feeling pampered and impressed. Can't wait to return next time we're in the Lakeside vicinity!

This is a super cool public market hall in downtown Sandusky with maybe 15ish (just a guess) local businesses like a bakery, bowling alley, axe throwing game space, ice cream shop and boutiques. This is a cool place to spend an hour or two just browsing and supporting local while grabbing some dessert. The building has some type of history to it which I was unable to readily find online (boo, that is so odd). But the history is paid homage in the design of this space, with old timey photos of Sandusky and Cedar Point blown up on the walls and little stories to accompany them. The design is actually brilliant. It's a cool mixture of old school heritage meets modern rustic vibes. It makes you want to stop and look. The businesses in this building are open during the pandemic, just make sure to check with each business directly before visiting as most of the hours are likely changed. I stopped by here extremely quickly (I do not go out much during the pandemic) to pick up some pre-paid birthday treats from Bake Erie. It has strawberries and peaches. It was good. I enjoyed it. We bought a bottle for $25. Orders lunch. I got the Korean cauliflower appetizer. It was pretty small. Giant piece of leaf lettuce in it. And the ranch dressing was also inside of it. Not a ton of the cauliflower. Kinda disappointing to be honest. I ate it. I liked it. But not sure how it is supposed to be shared by a table with not a lot of food. Disappointing. My partner got the portobello sandwich. She said it was very sloppy and just OK. So food is kinda pricey and not really worth it. This is a nice winery. Plenty of choices to drink. Lots of space inside and outside to sit and drink and hang out. Wine is OK. Food in my opinion is pricey and not as good as it should be for the price. Staff was nice. Plenty of parking. This almost feels too touristy and just a money grab. Just my opinion. Probably skip next time I'm in the area. Try something else.

Saturday night was pretty popular and the patio was full, so we sat inside, which is why our photos were rather dark. We started with a round of drinks. I had a glass of rose. Note that the drinks menu is several pages longer than the food menu, with beer, wine, and a variety of specialty and standard cocktails. They also have an espresso bar. It wasn't on the menu, but we ordered the Street Corn dip from the specials board on the sidewalk. We got a nice sized serving, and it was very good. I had the za'atar roast chicken for my entree, and it was delicious! The chicken comes with a lemon yogurt sauce, and Fattoush salad, but the salad was kind of a cross between Fattoush and tabbouleh, with pita chips and a grain base. It was a great combo, and the chicken was very juicy and seasoned nicely. I ended up with a slice of the almond cake, which was moist and had sliced almonds on top. Very much needed after missing out in the ice cream stop this afternoon! One of my friends had a bowl of gumbo and the other one had the taco pie. Since everyone enjoyed their dinner, and we confirmed that the patio was dog friendly, we returned with Miss Pup for brunch. We were able to snag a patio seat with a super friendly server. Miss Pup mostly hung out under the table, but managed to convince some other diners to pet her. We went with some plates for the table - Chicken and Waffle, Chilaquiles, and the special Quiche, which had sundried tomatoes, bacon and feta. All 3 portions were just right for us. The chicken was really moist and the waffle had slightly crispy edges. It came with some fruit and syrup. The quiche slice was generous and it came with a large portion of salad with a fruity vinaigrette. The sundried tomatoes were a really fun addition! I chose the chilaquiles. I'm pretty sure the chips were fried fresh (the ones last night were not), and I liked that it had beans and pico on top! This dish did not contain enchilada sauce, it was more like breakfast nachos, but I really enjoyed it. This place is definitely worth a stop, and the menu stands out from the standard island fish and chips and burgers fare (not that I dislike those things, just something different)!
