    Goat cheese and naan WOW
    Maria L.

We were greeted fast and with professionalism by Reese. To our pleasant surprise Reese was also our server. His attentiveness and enthusiasm were very infectious. We wanted for nothing ever. Our drinks were refilled before we even finished them. Reese gave us the time to enjoy our appetizer which made the entire timing and experience of the meal exceptional. The portabella ravioli was amazing! The sangria flight exceptional. Don't forget to order the goat cheese with naan WOW! I highly recommend Ciao Bella for a true dining experience. Atmosphere inside is unique and classy. This location even has an adorable outside dining venue. Your restaurant is lucky to have an exceptional employee like Reese. One comment would be to soak the ladyfingers so much more for a better balance in the Tarimisu. Otherwise amazing! Thank you!

Love their outside area the boardwalk even though it rained and we did not sit outside

Service was amazing, the food delicious! I ordered the scallops and my husband ordered the meatball lasagna and it did not disappoint! We will be back soon!

Calabrese Pizza on a cauliflower crust.

Exploring the Marblehead peninsula on a random Sunday afternoon with my sweetie, we decided to try something different for lunch. After searching on Yelp and discussing our options, we quickly settled on Ciao Bella on the Lakeside end of Port Clinton. Arriving at the large parking lot, I was super glad there were multiple signs pointing us toward the central building by the lake, as we otherwise would have spent entirely too long searching for the restaurant amongst all the buildings. Being 1pm on a Sunday during winter, the hostess gave us our choice of tables in the dark but otherwise nearly empty dining room, so we picked one with a lakefront view. In short order Reece, our attentive waiter, brought us waters and took our order for a Calabrese pizza ($17) on a gluten-free cauliflower crust. After a surprisingly short wait, our pizza arrived, and it was delicious! The cauliflower crust was not over-baked (as often happens with gluten-free crusts), and the capicola was -just like the menu said- pleasantly spicy. We both found the salami and sausage to be very good, and the addition of fresh cut basil liberally sprinkled across the top of the pizza completed the package. We found Reece to be very friendly and approachable, and he did a great job checking on us and bringing us an extra carafe of water. PROS: very attentive staff, excellent food CONS: we had no complaints of issues during our visit. Overall we found Diao Bella to be Very Good, and look forward to returning!

Saying it was good would be an understatement! The cuisine was amazing, our server was very attentive to our menu preferences, and the manager was accommodating and courteous. Will return when in the area! Great restaurant

    The chicken parm was fantastic

Ordered Ciao Bella on line and picked it up at the restaurant. The food was packaged very well and it was tasty and fantastic. The ceasar salad was crisp and fresh and we shared the Chicken Parm which was excellent. Also ordered a side of Spaghetti which was perfectly done with just the right amount of sauce. It was an excellent choice to order from Ciao Bella......

We spent the day at Cedar Point and were ready for some authentic Italian Food. The whole family was famished from the day at the park, and the restaurant was first-class from seating us expeditiously to the fantastic service. The food was amazing and there was a lot of it too, from their homemade bread to the sultry appetizers, we went home very satisfied and full. The teens even complimented the portion size and great taste. Prices were very fair, and the atmosphere was magical making this a very memorable experience. We will definitely check out Ciao Bella again.

Your site says it's not open until 4. However, during the season it's open for lunch. The food is Italian as the name denotes. We had a lunch combo. My husband had the lasagna and soup(sausage and white bean). It was awesome. I had the portable mushroom ravioli and the same soup. Amazing. This is fast becoming one of our favorites places. Outside seating available right on the water. Lovely place with great atmosphere vibe.

The vibe and feel of this restaurant outside in the midsummer heat is charming. The seats outside are situated right next to the crystal blue lake, where expectant fish serve as some entertainment for the children of the party. The service was very good, the waitress was kind, attentive, and quick to fill requests. We did have a long wait time, over 45 minutes from putting our order in to delivery. The sangria flight was great! I personally loved all the flavors and we got comments on how colorful it was! The steak was a little salty for my liking and did not taste very fresh but was good nonetheless. The Cesar salad and house salads were both excellent, I would recommend them! The bolognese was a little disappointing. It felt really really watered down, which sucks because the sauce was actually very flavorful! The kids pepperoni pizza got a thumbs up / 10 from the kid, so take that as you will :) Overall, I think this is a cute spot that would be great for a date night, family outing, or friends get together. We will be returning for sure!

I love their food. I've been going there since 2022 and I always order the mushroom ravioli. It's so good! I will not be able to dine there this year, but hopefully I'll be back next year.

Solid Italian place. The bread and olive oil were good, food was good, and service was solid. We had the calamari as an appetizer and it was pretty good. We had the lobster Al forno & lasagna which were both good. I would come back and try other dishes.

The main dining area is filled with colorful large scale artwork, ambient lighting, and there are beautiful thick marble-topped tables, and some booths are in an elegant cozy crescent shape. Our party of 5 included a gentleman in a wheelchair, and the hostess was very kind to configure the seating to best fit his wheelchair, and allow everyone to have ample room at the table. The hostess, Elisa and our waitress Alora were the perfect service personnel, very kind, warm and professional. The food was an Italian delight, and cooked to perfection. Upon being seated we were promptly brought waters with lemon and rustic bread with herbed olive oil. The French onion soup was a knockout in flavor, onions and overall quality. The mozerella cheese was flame-seared just prior to serving.. Among the best FO soup II have had. The dinner salad was a generous serving; crispy and fresh with tomatoes, onions, and olives. Three guests ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, and they all agreed the sauce was outstanding and the portions came in plentiful deep- dish rimmed bowls. Two guests ordered chicken scallopini and it was very good and hot with linguine and red onions and a nice sauce. While between the five of us, we ordered repeats of the same meals, the entree and appetizer menu had an impressive variety of Italian dishes from which to make our choices. Scarpetta's is well worth the drive from nearly anywhere in Northwest Ohio, and rivals the best there, and even in Chicago! Get there before 6 and enjoy a vary nice happy hour for drinks and appetizers. This was our third time here, and each visit exceeded our expectations and memory. We will return! You will not be sorry after enjoying an authentic Italian meal at at beautiful Scarpetta's restaurant. Our after-meal coffees were superb as well.

Under new management, the place has continued the Martello family tradition of great, handcrafted food in a hometown setting, but with a bit of an updated vibe. First, they do a fantastic job with gluten free options, and the chef's specials are phenomenal, also often with a GF capability. They have an artisan pizza crust,; tortellini; penne; and a Parmesan cream sauce -- all GF! The pizza crust is really terrific - much more like a "real" crust (which, their regular pizza is something I miss!) and they provide you with topping options that go from routine to delectably less common. I highly recommend their specials -- the chef is super talented; I love the steak tips; chicken Marsala; and fennel sausage (when they have it). Gluten not an issue -- try everything!! The Caesar salad is quite good, and the house Italian dressing a tradition. Their staff is friendly (shout out to Christina and Kate, and my beautiful friend Angie) the bar staff (the awesome Staci and Diann) who are consistently rated best in the area; and upbeat manager Hailey is a delightful presence. You can't go wrong.

    | Marconi's Italian Restaurant -- Huron's Heart, Italy's Soul…read more If you're heading to Huron, Ohio -- whether you're visiting family, passing through, or lucky enough to call it home -- do yourself a favor and make a stop at Marconi's Italian Restaurant. This isn't just a restaurant. It's a local institution. A tradition. A memory-maker. I've been going to Marconi's for as long as I can remember. It's where we gathered as a family, brought friends to impress, and celebrated everything from casual weeknights to meaningful milestones. The moment you walk in, you're greeted like an old friend -- because if you've been once, they remember you. That kind of warmth and familiarity? It's rare. But it's part of what makes Marconi's so special. Now let's talk food. Their homemade lasagna is an all-time favorite -- layers of rich sauce, perfectly seasoned meat, and creamy cheese that hits straight to the soul. And the calamari? An absolute must. Lightly breaded, crispy, and always fresh. It's the kind of dish that turns calamari skeptics into lifelong fans. The atmosphere strikes that perfect balance: rustic, welcoming, and just Italian enough to feel like you've been whisked away to a cozy village in the hills of Tuscany. They've got a beautiful outdoor patio for those perfect warm Ohio evenings, and if you're not in the mood to dine in, guess what -- they have a drive-thru. Yep. Top-tier Italian takeout right to your car. Marconi's also goes above and beyond with family menus, banquets, events, and catering. Whether it's a birthday bash, wedding shower, or just dinner for a crowd, they bring their A-game every time. It's that kind of versatility and hospitality that's kept them at the top for so many years. In a world full of chain restaurants and forgettable meals, Marconi's is a place that sticks with you -- for the food, the family feel, and the memories made around the table. An absolute must-visit if you're in Huron. And if you're a local who hasn't been in a while? Go back. They'll still remember you. And it'll still be as good as you remember.
