Bruschetta for two.
Lachelle L.

We were reluctant when we arrived and saw the outside. We read the reviews and decided to give it a try. The reviews were right. We walked into a classy little Italian restaurant. I am a Bruschetta connoisseur it is how I know it's going to be a good meal. I found my favorite fresh full of Italian flavors Bruschetta. Then I had spaghetti with meat sauce and Italian dressing. Soooo good full of flavor! I do wish we were given a dinner salad just a small bowl. However I did not change my review. My daughter had Chicken Piccata it was fabulous!

Spaghetti Meat Sauce

Another carb loading meal. Also one walking distance from bnb and the pier. I would say solid Italian restaurant. The menu straight forward all basic classic dishes. They do daily specials besides menu. I like the family run business. Husband in the back cooking and wife was running the front. We started with Bruschetta for two. I enjoyed. Nice and refreshing. The bruschetta was delicious with nice size diced tomato, fresh, and combine with perfect toasted bread. Perfect balance crispy bread and fresh cut tomatoes. I got Spaghetti in meat sauce. Fan. The sauce nothing blow u away. Great taste! Nice portion size. Hearty. The perfect carb load of pasta. Service was fabulous. She was very attentive and friendly. Both grateful stopped by said thank u for coming in. Solid food and spot I would go back if do IMOhio 70.3 again.

So after a long weekend of working many hours sometimes you just wanna go out to dinner and get what's good in every single way! This restaurant is just what I expected it to be a small diy family place that's putting out good food with great service which is something that Will make me come back here again! Of the many options I went with the most basic spaghetti with meat sauce because it's just what I wanted but let me say it was very flavorful and good all around for that spaghetti goodness you can't go wrong with! Besides the yummy spaghetti I also ordered a dinner salad with Italian dressing on it the greens were very fresh and just went very well before my spaghetti! They have a public parking lot right in front of the restaurant so that made it easy to get in and out which is always a plus! Overall this was a yummy experience and everyone in my group felt the same way it's for that reason I know that we will be back here again soon for some Italian goodness!

Calamari Fritti

I went to Sandusky area for a weekend trip and discover this Italian restaurant around the downtown area. I went on a Friday night and luckily they are not that busy. The vibe is very intimate and classy. This place will be great for a family dinner or a little date night. The Calamari Fritti just have a light seasoned breading and go well with the creamy dipping sauce. I also got the Spaghetti Monte Mare. The flavor is on the lighter side and can be brighten up with the grated parmesan cheese. I would prefer to have the creamy sauce a bit thicker.

Chicken Parmigiana

The food was great. All right of us enjoyed our meals. I had the chicken parmigiana. The chicken, pasta and sauce were all delicious. The service wasn't super speedy, but we understood. It was pretty amazing that two people took care of 5 tables. The restaurant itself was quaint and classy. I highly recommend Amaron Italian Restaurant!

Not authentic! Chicken Parmiggiana , lasagna, and spaghetti all tasted the same. Maybe slightly better than Chef boyardee. We also thought it may all be frozen from the Gordon Food Service store and reheated. Wedding soup was bland and more like chicken noodle soup. The soup bowl it came in wasn't even half full. See pic below. The hot soup was packaged with and on top of the Tiramisu in the same bag, making it warm and gross.

They act like you are an inconvenience. while I was waiting for my food I heard what I believe to be the owner tell multiple customers that they are going to wait one hour for food so they should leave. the manicotti had NO cheese in it. sauce is not good. I also listened to them argue with parents over their child not being able to have egg. this place is horrible. avoid. the man yells at the woman a lot, you can hear them from the kitchen. 0/10. I usually don't complain but I would avoid.

It came to the table with no mint, and I was told it's a mojito mix that they use. It was disgusting. Garlic bread 4/10 Frozen Texas toast, but no garlic. Just tastes like plain toasted bread. Italian Trio 9/10 - House made Meatballs 8/10 pretty good. Lot of sausage in the mixture. - Tomato Bruschetta 9/10 good, except the raw garlic was weird. Roasted would be better. - Sausage & Peppers 10/10 good. Mild. Juicy. Stuffed shells 9/10 The shells were cooked good. Strong sausage flavor, but good. Didn't taste much cheese, and the spinach was good but the flavor of it doesn't come through a ton. The vodka sauce with them was really good, and tons of mozzarella on top. Steak Mediterranean 8/10 Medium rare beef tenderloin tips. Cooked perfect. Sauce was really good. Noodles were cooked good. Again, tons of raw garlic, it definitely needed to be sautéed or roasted (that would make it a 10/10). I liked that they put the noodles and the steak on separate plates. Spaghetti & Meatballs 9/10 Noodles cooked good. Sauce was good. For kids- I don't recommend adding the chopped parsley garnish. Chicken Parmesan 9/10 Really good! Chicken breading was crispy and cooked really good.

Under new management, the place has continued the Martello family tradition of great, handcrafted food in a hometown setting, but with a bit of an updated vibe. First, they do a fantastic job with gluten free options, and the chef's specials are phenomenal, also often with a GF capability. They have an artisan pizza crust,; tortellini; penne; and a Parmesan cream sauce -- all GF! The pizza crust is really terrific - much more like a "real" crust (which, their regular pizza is something I miss!) and they provide you with topping options that go from routine to delectably less common. I highly recommend their specials -- the chef is super talented; I love the steak tips; chicken Marsala; and fennel sausage (when they have it). Gluten not an issue -- try everything!! The Caesar salad is quite good, and the house Italian dressing a tradition. Their staff is friendly (shout out to Christina and Kate, and my beautiful friend Angie) the bar staff (the awesome Staci and Diann) who are consistently rated best in the area; and upbeat manager Hailey is a delightful presence. You can't go wrong.

This isn't just a restaurant. It's a local institution. A tradition. A memory-maker. I've been going to Marconi's for as long as I can remember. It's where we gathered as a family, brought friends to impress, and celebrated everything from casual weeknights to meaningful milestones. The moment you walk in, you're greeted like an old friend -- because if you've been once, they remember you. That kind of warmth and familiarity? It's rare. But it's part of what makes Marconi's so special. Now let's talk food. Their homemade lasagna is an all-time favorite -- layers of rich sauce, perfectly seasoned meat, and creamy cheese that hits straight to the soul. And the calamari? An absolute must. Lightly breaded, crispy, and always fresh. It's the kind of dish that turns calamari skeptics into lifelong fans. The atmosphere strikes that perfect balance: rustic, welcoming, and just Italian enough to feel like you've been whisked away to a cozy village in the hills of Tuscany. They've got a beautiful outdoor patio for those perfect warm Ohio evenings, and if you're not in the mood to dine in, guess what -- they have a drive-thru. Yep. Top-tier Italian takeout right to your car. Marconi's also goes above and beyond with family menus, banquets, events, and catering. Whether it's a birthday bash, wedding shower, or just dinner for a crowd, they bring their A-game every time. It's that kind of versatility and hospitality that's kept them at the top for so many years. In a world full of chain restaurants and forgettable meals, Marconi's is a place that sticks with you -- for the food, the family feel, and the memories made around the table. An absolute must-visit if you're in Huron. And if you're a local who hasn't been in a while? Go back. They'll still remember you. And it'll still be as good as you remember.
