Great food, the burgers were a big hit with all of us and the fries were hot and crispy. Nice place to hang.

Now that patios are open in Ohio, Tremont Taphouse has implemented some pretty socially distant ways to still dine out but stay safe. I went last weekend with some friends in the early afternoon and waited in line for about 20 minutes before being called. They are limiting the number of people on their patio, so most patrons were aware it is not a "hang out all day" situation. I would describe the serving style to be similar to that of a food court. Once your party is called in, you immediately order by the kitchen window, all food, drinks, silverware are given at that point. Your card is kept on hand and a tab is opened. Once the food for your table is ready, a server will bring all your food at once. When finished eating, there is an area to drop off your metal tray, metal silverware, and trash on your way out the patio area. Tremont Taphouse has definitely implemented an effective way to remain pretty contact-free. And the most important part, all employees wore a mask! The food that I got was pretty standard for Ohio City/Tremont area. The burger and fries were tasty, but I felt like it was a little pricey compared to other American styled restaurants in Ohio City/Tremont, especially since the location is on the outskirts of Tremont. However, since the shutdown of restaurants in Ohio, it was worth the added costs to support local again! read more

Why oh why oh WHY has it taken me so long to go here?? (Probably because it is not within walking distance of my apartment downtown) but it is totally worth the very short drive!! When you pull up you see a renovated house that is now a restaurant/bar. It is very cute inside but we finally had some sunshine, so we decided to take advantage of their outdoor seating. Beers GALORE! Many options (which we love) and many different food options as well. They have burgers, sandwiches and pizza and we chose burgers today. I ordered the green chili burger. YUM!! I am one of those who does not like any pink in my hamburger, so I am destined to eat dry burgers. Not here though!! Tremont Taphouse is a fantastic, welcoming little bar and grill tucked away just outside of the central Tremont area. They have a wide selection of rotating taps, much of which comes regionally, as well as some of the best out of state names around. My husband was delighted on our last trip to find a well known Maine brewery on tap that we don't usually find here. The menu is standard bar fare that is executed really well. Came here by accident because my husband originally wanted to go somewhere else but put the GPS for this place. But since they were dog friendly, we decided we might as well try this place! My brother and friend joined us for this extravaganza! My husband and I both got the green chili burger which was cooked to our liking which is kind of a rare occasion at some places. My brother ordered the pork belly nachos as our appetizer and it was so delicious that our table was so quiet until they were gone. The green chili burger presentation was absolutely gorgeous but unfortunately lacked in flavor. My husband and I truly get that it was very under seasoned which was kind of disappointing since we had to result to the hot sauce to give it some flavor. The service here was truly amazing! As soon as we sat down they ran and grabbed some water bowls for our fur babies which was very thoughtful. Pre-Covid I'd only been to Taphouse like twice and honestly I had a real crap experience with a snippy bartender the last time and vowed not to return. We came here for brunch on a Sunday morning and had no trouble getting a table. My son and daughter-in-law live in Cleveland and come here frequently. I had the braised short rib hash. Wow.....I have never had their food or brunch but I am beyond thrilled I did! It opens at 10am Sunday and we got there right at 10 and was the first in the door. Wonderful beers (four in a flight is $12.50 or one pour is $6.50) ranging from Hefeweizen to a delicious smoked maple stout. The double fried French fries are absolutely fantastic and a must-try. The chicken on house salad came as a small-medium sized meal as there wasn't anything on it except croutons, cheese, and dressing. The beer vinaigrette was sweet and very tasty on the tender fresh chicken breast over top Parmesan shreds and mixed greens. It filled me up paired with the four beer flight. Sometimes the food is so delicious that you forget to take a picture. That is exactly what happened tonight. I had a wild mushroom pizza and devour the entire thing. Dear Yelpers Well, I must say I had my hopes up for the quaint little spot...but underwhelmed is the more appropriate term to describe my experience. It started with the wait. What was listed as an hour and a half wait, ended up being 10 minutes. Or atleast it should have been. Three tables left while we stood and waited. 15+ minutes went by before anyone cleared off the tables. And when we finally sat down the service was average at best. Our food took some time to come out and I think we saw our waitress twice the whole time we were there. The food...mehh. I've had better at fast food joints. I wasn't sure what to expect here, but the Tremont Taphouse is a dimly lit nicer hip dive bar, with a can mural on the wall. The staff that works there is really cool, though, and it was a neat little place to hang out. We didn't get food there, just drinks. It wasn't too crowded on a Saturday night, and they even had an orchestra for Oktoberfest. There were tons of people there for it and they were selling small and big das boots! Unfortunately we didn't know much about it before hand. Regardless, we still had a good time. I got a strawberry cocktail drink that was a little strong for me but still drinkable. It was a $10 drink but I think it was worth the money. The waiter was wonderful and really knowledgeable about the menu - he helped my boyfriend pick out a great fall beer for the season. He even went out of his way to ask me how my drink was, and when I said it was a little strong, he fixed it by adding a little more simply syrup. They had a great outdoor patio with cute lights as well, and a decent amount of parking next to the establishment. They also have a big TV at the back of the bar for sports and whatnot. Still enjoy this place. Great spot to chill at on a lazy weekend afternoon. Have not made it here in quiet a while, but stopped in recently for some brunch food to get stuffed with. Oh em gee!!! Tremont Taphouse rocked my world. Last night I stopped by in hopes of a solid, savory dinner. Let me tell you, I got that and more. I ordered the grilled cheese they had on their Oktoberfest themed specials menu. I was planning on ordering the Taphouse fries too, but our waiter let me know the only difference between those and the side order was the jalapeño aioli they came with, so he brought some with my meal. The grilled cheese was perfectly grilled on hearty bread. It was filled with flavorful cheddar, decadent and dense German sausage and the perfect amount of red onion. They should seriously consider adding this sandwich to their regular menu. It was TO DIE FOR. The fries were hand cut style with a perfect crunch- but the real star of the show was that jalapeño aioli. With a perfect silkiness and kick of spice, this dipping sauce was the perfect compliment to not only my fries, but the grilled cheese as well. Covid is interesting. Check in from outside, patio. If you sit out on patio you have to order from window for drinks and food. Also bus your own table. If you dine inside it appears to be different. I stopped in with someone for a late lunch and a beer. There was 4 other people there, all had food already. I decided to order the Joshua burger and mushroom burger for my friend. We waited about 45 minutes before I asked about the food, I'm just not one to complain. The lady disappeared for about 8 minutes and came back with our food. Both burgers were rare. I personally don't mind, I'm fat at heart so I ate it. My friend decided to take it Home and heat it up. I didn't even mention that to them. The taphouse consistently delivers high-quality food, exceptional service, and one of the most outstanding selections of microbrews in the Cleveland area. These folks know what they're doing and they are serious about service. Although I don't know any of the servers by name they are all excellent. The delightfully alluring young lady with the fair skin is superb and very attentive. I am always quick to recommend the taphouse when asked for places to eat and drink in Cleveland. This was a fun spot for a Saturday afternoon lunch. The bar was pretty full so we grabbed a booth. The draft selection is impressive, including the house brews (Butcher & Brewer). We ordered the house brew kolsch and farmhouse ales (I loved the farmhouse ale!). They also have a rotating daily $4 brew. We shared some small plates for lunch, including the calamari (based on a review on here), poutine, and pierogi. All of which were delicious and more food than i needed for lunch. We were shuffling through the Cleveland Independents card deck when my boyfriend saw the Tremont Taphouse card! He said we HAD to go because it was a great spot! He was not wrong! Loved it! I had a few questions about two particular dishes, about the Chicory Salad and about the salmon. I made my decision based on the Chicory Salad being served minus grapes, which 'was not a problem!' The food arrived fairly quickly, but the salad was full of disgustingly dessicated grapes! After picking out the grapes, the salad was good. I had also ordered the macaroni and cheese, which was wonderful comfort food. The server did not come back and ask if we wanted anything else, and when I told her about the grapes, she just shrugged. What's an amazing thing that Tremont Taphouse has that no one else can really offer then the area? Well there's two things: parking lot and large patio. They use the patio to their advantage by being dog friendly and hosting 'yappy hours' for your pooch on the patio. The last time I was there they had a dog meetup/fundraiser for Huskys. Tremont wins in my book already. In addition to those perks the food is also amazing. Each month/week they have a featured pizza and grilled cheese. The last time I went I got the Pierogis and was not disappointed. Sautéed and fried to perfection covered in a sour cream sauce with grilled onions! Yum! After sitting down at the bar, our drink orders were promptly taken. We both got the cider that was currently on tap and ordered a soft pretzel for an appetizer. The cider was good but the pretzel was kind of lackluster. The cheese sauce it came with was flavorless and the pretzel itself was kind of small. For $8 I didn't think it lived up to its value! Once we finished our appetizers, we ordered sandwiches for dinner. I ordered the Joshua burger and my husband ordered a philly steak sandwich. We thought the price for the meals was pretty steep for the type of restaurant we were in, but we received an ample amount of food. I will say that our sandwiches and fries were delicious.
