I picked Lu's because I wanted to see the steam engine artwork on the back of the Grafton Laundromat. How's that for bringing some business to little ole Grafton! Anyhow, Lu's is a great pizza place. My buddy ordered the large deluxe and loved it. Plenty of toppings and cooked perfectly. $23 for an extra large 16" I ordered the BBQ Chicken Bacon Pineapple. $26 for an extra large. Cooked perfectly also, personally I'd of like a little more pineapple on it but I also realize this is something new pizza shops are doing but I love the change. First time trying this pizza place. Had a Philly cheesesteak pizza and deluxe and antipasto salad. The pizza had no taste. I don't know if it didn't have a lot of sauce or what. While the ingredients were fresh, we had to put ranch dressing on it to eat it. Samoskys Philly cheesesteak pizza is probably better in my opinion . This order was $60 too which is steep! Not only is Lus pizza the best I have ever had, crust is amazing, the sauce is the best! The people who run it ARE THE KINDEST SWEETEST PEOPLE! Top notch pizza. We had a great experience today when we chose to dine in. We were greeted by a pleasant server who did an amazing job. We ordered a dinner salad and a XL pepperoni pizza. We finally tried Lu's after 23 years! We were not disappointed! The pizza was crisp and well done. No soggy crust, just a delightful crunch! I forgot how good a pizza could be... Best pizza around Grafton area. The ladies that work and wait on you, are super friendly and always busy, but caution: not so much hustle when the younger kids (under 25) are waiting on you, which is sad but typical nowadays. Lu's pizza tastes great, crust is always just right and not ever burnt. Would have given them 5 stars, but toppings on our "deluxe" pizza were very light. In my humble opinion, a deluxe should be an example of your very best, otherwise it should be called the "pretty-good" pizza and not "deluxe." Next time will have to stick with standard single topping Pepperoni. Last comment: Lu's is local and happy to support them. If you want a good homemade pizza, give them a try. Nothing fancy, but nice inside for a pizza place. Summer patio is also worth considering, and they do serve beer now. Already looking forward to our next visit. read more

Second visit. I knew I was right. This place has better regular pizzas than specialty pizzas. Tonight we kept it basic. Large pepperoni pizza with mushrooms on half. Not a huge deal but the mushrooms are canned. Just an FYI. I also got the Italian salad. Again very good and good sized. The house and caesar salads were tiny. Mozzarella sticks were average. It's ok. Came here 2 weeks after their reopening. There was a crazy long wait of 2.5 hours, and I knew this, so I had to reserve pizza quite early in the afternoon. I ordered a cheese pizza. Had a nice tinge of sweetness to it, the bread wasn't too thick. A bit more pricey and a battle to even get a pizza compared to Marcos Pizza down the street. read more

Excellent pizza, the sauce is a sweet sauce but not in a bad way. Love the pizza. The atmosphere is obviously a bit older they are in the downtown section of Grafton. Well worth the drive. The staff isn't always the friendliest, not rude by no means. Nothing to knock any stars off of the review. The pizzas are reasonably priced are well packaged for pickup. I don't think they have delivery. We live close enough that we can walk there in the summer. The business is a bit primitive in terms of technology I don't think you can order online so you have to phone it in. Seems the orders always take 30 minutes but then, I think that is standard for Pizza. Worth the effort to at least give it a go. read more

Just discovered this place. It's small, a little dark, the building is very old, but what it lacks in ambiance, it more than makes up for in taste. As a Chicago native, I consider myself a pizza expert, more or less. This was one of the better pizzas I've had in Ohio. We paid $6.99 for a large one-topping pizza. The sauce is a bit on the sweet side, but the pizza was great. Certainly a nice break from the franchise nightmares taking over Ohio. We ate inside, and at least a dozen people stopped in to pick up orders while we were there, so this place certainly seems to be a favorite with the locals (not a lot of other choices, but still). If you're from out of town like us, don't let the appearance of the place put you off. The pizza is well worth it. Give me taste over atmosphere anytime. read more
