Fresh basil and the sauce is amazing! Perfect crust!
Cassidy E.

Best pizza ever. Brick oven. Fresh ingredients made to order. Authentic Italian. Cash only but sooo worth it. Sausage is amazing! Normally don't like sausage on my pizza but this place does it right so it's my number two topping now

This is the place. There's no phone number it's cash only and it's a one man show. Came in around 5:25 and placed an order the line was a few people deep. After putting in the order take in one of the bars in the area because wait times can be around an hour. Pete takes his time and does each order individually he's an artist. The crust was crispy but with the new chew and the sauce had a great tang to it. This is the closest you can get to Lucali in Cleveland. Don't tell anyone about this place just keep it a secret. Or the line will go down the block

Just amazing! Delicious, authentic and fresh. Cash only, but the back is right down the street and the pizza is ready quickly.

Friendly and quick and really delicious (juicy on inside and crisp on outside). No photo because no food left. A meal where you forget about photos and just enjoy tasty food. Walked in wanting takeout and glad I wasn't staying to eat in: the acoustics in there are horrible. Even with only two dining in, the sound was not conducive to conversation at all. Staff was very friendly and the order came together quickly. Nice touch offering a free sweet tea while I waited. The wings were meaty and charred. Flavorful, but sure wish they were fried longer. I hate trying to chew flaccid chicken skin. You get your sauces on the side here. Blue cheese rated fine. Two hot sauces had the requisite heat, but lacked flavor. Their version of buffalo was more vinegary with no resemblance to traditional Frank's RedHot. Sides included a tasty apple slaw and a very beany chili. I wish the serving size was larger for 5 bucks, but I won't fret over it. Nice beer selection, but other than one cheap offering (pumpkin ale...yuck) they ranged from 6.50 to 8 bucks for 12 ounce cans. Less costly options should be explored. Overall an okay experience...not dying to rush back.

Subject: Formal Complaint - Discrimination and Unprofessional Conduct…read more Let me start off with a positive and say I've never had a bad experience up until this moment I am writing to formally report a deeply concerning and unacceptable experience I had at your establishment during my recent visit. While interacting with one of your bartenders, I was met with repeated dismissive behavior. She continuously stated, "I'm only a bartender, I can't read minds," instead of offering assistance or resolving the issue. We even tried to have Management come and resolve the issue but the bar made got very rude loud rude and obnoxious and had us escorted out. More concerning, however, was that during this interaction, she directed a racial slur toward me by calling me a "Black bitch." This behavior is not only unprofessional--it is discriminatory, offensive, and completely unacceptable in any setting. No customer should ever be subjected to this kind of treatment. I am requesting that this matter be taken seriously and investigated immediately. Incidents like this reflect poorly on your establishment and create a hostile and unsafe environment for patrons. Additionally, if this matter is not addressed appropriately, I am prepared to make my fellow Black community aware of the type of employees being placed in your establishment, as no one should have to endure this kind of treatment. I expect a prompt response regarding how this issue will be handled.

Cushy comfy booths available. Wings were very well sauced with garlic Parmesan and the house mild sauce was basically honey with a hint of buffalo and quite tasty as well. The onion rings were perfectly crispy and the chicken nachos was a feast in itself piled high with plenty of toppings. Nice place to have food and a drink with friends and somehow NOT expensive!!!

When he gave me my order there were only three wings. He corrected it and gave me 5. The wings and fries gave me it was time to change the grease vibes but the fries were hot and seasoned well. The wings were okay.... I could barely taste the lemon pepper. Might give them another shot on another day

I've wanted to try this place since they moved in last year. The old Ohio City location was just…read moretoo far away. So this is a review of my first (of many to come!) visit. The location is small and unassuming with terrible parking situation. (Tip: park far away and walk here). At lunch time, it was busy with lots of people waiting for their food with one person at the register. He was nice and suggested I try the Mexican street corn as my side. So I did! Then I chose to get the Cleveland hot chicken sandwich with coleslaw to go. After waiting about 15 minutes, I got my lunch, hot and ready. The chicken sandwich is actually about four thin breaded chicken tenders covered in a slightly hot sauce. I think a 3/10 rating instead of its labeled 7/10 rating would fit it better. The breading was good and covered nice, fresh chicken meat. I appreciated the attempt at topping with coleslaw although I wish there was more. The bun was better quality than anything at a fast food place. The street corn was nice and I enjoyed the spices on it. I wish there was less sauce as the corn was drenched in a sauce that didn't really add any flavor to it. Just empty calories. Overall, give this place a shot! The price is decent, although not incredible but there is something special here.

A place called Characters Bar & Grill kept coming up. So here's how things went! Atmosphere/Appearance: This place is like... at the EDGE of Cleveland's city limits. Lol. Brookpark Road or something. Once I pulled up it just felt like a nice, neighborhood spot! It does have a private parking lot, big outdoor section (where we sat) and plenty of space on the inside. It's a traditional setup. TVs everywhere, random swag and decor all throughout, plenty of high-top tables for seating and a big bar rail. The energy was lively and the music was so random. Lol. If you've been, you know what I mean. Service: I can't remember the name of who took care of us, but she was funny, sweet and just made sure we had everything that we needed. Food: While here I was able to try a few wings, so let's begin. First up were the Mike's Sweet Island Heat. For the record, if you order 10 wings, you can split them into 2-5s for an extra $1.00 if you want separate flavors. Also, on the menu there are 3 "types" of sauces that they offer. The first kind are Buffalo based sauces, the 2nd are barbecue based sauces and the last is "other". Lol. Anyway, these looked amazing, were super saucy and were a decent, seemingly normal size. I got lots of good fruity notes and aromatics as I put the wing to my nose. After tasting the flavors carried through with a bold, fruity, rich flavor. There was good spice and it felt like a chipotle based spice. It was a unique flavor for sure that I hadn't tasted before. Next up was Lenny's Honey Sriracha Teriyaki which is a mouthful of a name, but the flavors showed up! It was a good teriyaki base with citrusy lemon flavors that actually made my lips pucker just a bit. These weren't spicy at all, but it was missing something, I couldn't quite put my finger on it. Next up was Chipotle which I was lead to believe would be the hottest sauce on the menu based on it's placement on the menu, but I was wrong. This one did have some GOOD heat to it. The ingredients were balanced very well that created very bold, rich, hearty, chipotle flavors. I really liked this one. Next up were the Mild Buffalo. These were super saucy, juicy and had a very straightforward traditional Buffalo flavor that had some excellent flavor. The bleu cheese to go with these was a creamy, mild sauce that would cool your mouth down if you can't handle the spice. Next up was the XXX Buffalo which is actually the hottest sauce on the menu. The sauce was a bit watery which is a dead giveaway that it wouldn't be as spicy as it claims to be. It was still delicious, but the spice took a while to kick in, but it's nothing to write home about. It was like a kicked up Buffalo. Value: It's a sports bar, so the food won't be terrible expensive. I was there on Wednesday and wings were $1.00 each. Not bad at all considering how expensive I've see some. They even had $5.00 steaks this night, but I can only imagine them being a Salisbury steak or something. Lol. In conclusion, I had a blast here. The food was great, the people are awesome, I felt welcomed and it just felt like a good place to hang out! I look forward to returning and trying some more flavors!

These guys are polite, and the prices are fine. The sauce on the (square) pizza, however, is so…read moresweet that it could be considered a dessert. If you check out my reviews, you'll see that I've sampled pizzas in more than one state and more than one country, including Italy. I've sampled many types of crusts and sauces. While the crust here is fine (not the best), the sauce is repulsive. My daughter said "Dad, this area is heavily populated with people from Eastern Bloc countries," to which I responded "If they like their pizza sweet, so be it. But I certainly don't." I understand that there are plenty of pizza styles, including the Greek version, which includes cinnamon on occasion. Yuck. This place is called Napoleon's Pizza, and they claim to conquer pretty much everything, from your pizza craving to the whole town of Parma. Indeed, Napoleon was an Italian dude who was born in France. His conquering skills were excellent, until his greed resulted in the deaths of thousands of soldiers who froze to death. All of that to say, I might've named this place Napoli's Pizza (since Napoli is the birthplace of the pizza we know today). But the sweet sauce here is an abomination, so maybe 'Napolean's' is more appropriate after all.
