I love pizza. We decided to grab some food while in the area of Strongsville. This pizza place came recommended. This is not a sit down type of restaurant. It's pick up only. The people behind the counter very nice. We ordered 2 different types of pizza a chicken wings. To our dismay, the wings were boneless. They were rubbery and over cooked. The pizza, unfortunately, none of us were able to eat. The kids would not even try it. The sausage on the pizza was too big for any of us to bite into and enjoy. This little pizza takeout shop is located in shopping plaza tucked in the center corner. I walked in just at the estimated time for the order to be ready, they had a few children's toys off to the side, I'm thinking for customers who have children with during the wait. My wait was within the time frame of order to be ready! Younger gentleman greeted me the minute i walked in, asked if I was there for an order and for the name. He let me know is just finishing up. I waited less than two minutes, and out the door. The Hot Italian 10/10 much thought out style of pizza with the sauce and what seemed to be sautéed onions that sparked my taste buds. 6Cut Meat lovers which is always a choice pizza I get at any establishment and it didn't disappoint! 9.5/10 the way they had those sausages on top and the flavor it packed...whew! Flavor profile was jumpin'! Cheesy Bread was delectable, crispy edges, not a big cheese pull but definitely top tier! Ranch fries was a bit disappointing, despite the toppings would allow this to happen, the fries were soggy, but menu description said they're crispy ‍ and they didn't hold in the flavor area as much, ranch flavor was light in taste. First off, 4.5 star score, however you can't select that option. After a traditional Thanksgiving meal the day before, we decided on pizza on a visit to mom's villia at Vitalia on Royalton Rd. in Strongsville. After a look at reviews decided on Dear Mama's Pizza in Strongsville (usual go-to is Ohio pie, but wanted to change it up). Ordered on-line. No ordering/pick up problems. Zach's seasonal special (pepperoni with hot honey), a 10 cut with sausage, mushrooms and roasted red pepper and 10 boneless wings with the six pepper ranch (and a side of ranch dressing). All were very good. This place needs to be in your repertoire of pizza places if you live in the Strongsville area (located on Pearl Rd, just shortly south of Royalton). Style is Detroit (rectangular, thicker bread like crust with sides deeply pan charred) and comes in 6 cut or 10 cut. The seasonal special was very good, however we got no taste of hot honey at all. The boneless wings excellent and their ranch sauce to dip in is amazing. We'd recommend they bottle the sauce and have it in the cooler for purchase, it's that good. I believe the menu designates homemade. We didn't get much out of the six pepper ranch sauce on the wings. The pizza with sausage, mushrooms and roasted red pepper was excellent - chunks of sausage and large strips of roasted red pepper. Note: the pizza sauce is on the sweet side of the spectrum. It's excellent, but keep that in mind if that is not your cup of tea. Overall, highly recommend giving it a try. It's located in the far corner of a L-shaped shopping center. So thankful for a unique and good pizza place in Strongsville! There are so many classic chains in this city, and Dear Mama Pizza is a breath of fresh air. So Dear Momma's is relatively new here. We gave it a try and I have to say that it's pretty good. They make a "Detroit" style pie. Very thick, airy dough. Semi sweet even. I can sincerely say I haven't had vegan deep dish pizza this good in my life. Such a pleasant surprise here on work trip in Ohio. The crust and tomato sauce were amazing (also had one pie with their vegan white sauce which was also on point). Cooked to perfection, crispy edges - light airy dough. Cheese was amazing and the vegan toppings (pepperoni and sausage) were perfect. I'm sure their real cheese and non-vegan pizzas are just as good and the prices can't be beat. That's not to mention how sweet the lady who served me was (I'm assuming she was the owner). If you're a fan of deep dish you have to check this place out - especially if you eat a plant-based diet. This was not crunchy or airy but rather soggy and limp. The taste was good- not great and the toppings were scarce on the specialty pie I ordered. Very yummy pizza! I love the Howe Ya Doin which has pepperoni, salami, banana peppers and ricotta. Although I do wish the ricotta was cooked more. The bacon jalapeño cheddar bread is AMAZING. This place is A List! The pizza was delicious and economical. My pizza was ready in 20 minutes. The toppings are fresh and the dough has a buttery taste to it. Not overly saucy and the 6 cut was perfect for two meals. It has that traditional Detroit style pizza but not too thick.
