Ok so most pizza in Ohio sucks. Almost people around here don't seem to notice. This place was above most others. I'd come back here again. Too bad it's so far from where I live.

Personal Pan Pizza for $4! Ready in 10 minutes! Delicious!

I was at the Sheetz across the street from A Slice Above to get gas and called to see if they sell slices. He said they didn't but they could make a personal pan real quick. I got gas, ran through the the car wash and then went to pick it up and it was ready! Buttery crispy outside and soft inside. The sauce was delicious and cheese was very flavorful. Can't wait to try other pizzas. The little dive bar they have next door (The Office) looks cool too.

Literally my favorite pizza place! I move to Nashville 6 years ago and every time I'm in town I have to stop and get a pizza. I love that y'all added a personal pizza size even though I don't mind leftovers. Personal size is easier to travel with lol. Thank you for being the best pizza. I have always driven by this small pizza shop and told myself I would try it one day. The Superman logo catches my attention every time. Finally decided to call in and give it a chance. I ordered the buffalo chicken pizza. Holy smokes guys. This is seriously one of the best buffalo chicken pizzas ive ever been blessed with eating. Pizza itself had a crust that was flaky, crunchy, and flavorful like crispy cheese. Had a wonderful buffalo flavor without overpowering the zesty ranch sauce. These guys did it right (leave blue-cheese off buffalo chicken pies!!!!). I will be back and I recommend the visit. read more

Some of the best pizza I've ever had! Unfortunately didn't get any pics, but I will be back again very soon. We tried the Jimmy Hoffa, the cheeseburger, and then a plain pepperoni. And they were all amazing. The crust is so nice and fluffy but crunchy on the outside. I can't wait to go back and try some more! Would recommend this place to anyone! read more

I finally tried A Slice Above. This little independent pizza shop has been in Strongsville slingin' pies for a long, long time. It's a cool place with friendly staff and cool theming. We ordered and the wait was only 20-25 minutes. Very standard. The pizza unfortunately not my taste. The parmigiana cheese on top ruins the flavor for me. I'll try to order without it next time. Great pie!! One of the best I have tried in Strongsville. Excellent choice of toppings. When you frequent a place that makes great puzza word gets out and they have a well deserved rep. Great pie fantastic choice of toppings. They make subs too. If you are thirsty you can pop into The Office next door get a cold beer and order your pie they bring it to you. read more

I'm not sure how the food is. I live in another state, and we have an "A Slice Above" pizzeria nearby. I placed an order, and only realized that the order I placed was at this location. Idk why this number comes up when I google "A Slice Above" when there is one right up the street from me and this one is states away ..... But anyway, the employee was so nice about it. If I lived nearby I would support this business just because of the employee's attitude. read more

This is our #1 pizza choice when we come in from out of town. Living in Columbus we have (sorry to say) some If the crappiest pizza around. We are always in the hunt for a style akin to A Slice Above down here with no luck. ASA is amazing. I will say the biggest flaw is the tiny parking lot shared with a bar next door and maybe a carpet store. Running in to get pizza can get a little dicey when there's only one or no parking spots open. read more

This place has achieved cult status in the Strongsville / Middleburg Heights area. You've probably heard the rumors about this place. Believe me, they're true. Whether you are eating by the slice or the whole damn pie, you are eating the best pizza in the area, including some legendary pizzerias in Cleveland proper. So many varieties and combinations that you wouldn't think would work, but always end up blowing you away. Chicken and waffles pizza? Yup, they got it. As an added bonus, it's a part of an equally legendary Strongsville bar...the Office. Roll in for a pint or four at the Office and then order a pie at the bar and enjoy! After two years and a weekly new pizza place outing we were doing, we tried this place and it halted our weekly new pizza place thing because we kept coming back here. This is our favorite pizza place probably of all time. It is that consistently good. You can tell the ingredients are top notch and the taste and texture is always amazing. Crisp crust with a good chew to it. Sauce is flavorful and not too sweet or savory. Sausage and pepperoni is amazing. Good quality cheese. Keep doing what you are doing because we are big fans! Tried the cheese sticks and twister pizza. Cheese sticks were tasty and had a mild garlic flavored. They also came with a side of sauce. Twisted was really unique with nacho cheese and a soft pretzel cut on top. It needed more nacho cheese or a side of it because it was a bit dry. People on the phone and in person were super nice. I got the Chicago with Pep and Mush X Sauce. The pizza is HEAVY. Thank goodness I stopped eating when I did cause it would not have been comfortable after the pizza caught up with me. The pizza is good, I like it. The mushrooms were the highlight for me, SO GOOD. One thing that made me wonder was the fact that they sprinkle grated cheese on top. I would rather it was crushed red pepper but I guess cheese is their thing. In the Top 3 on my pizza spots, paired with The Office makes a dynamic duo. Local spot, many want to keep it that, mostly over limited parking. Found the crowd friendly and funny! Staff juggling the bar and food orders, be patient and they def will mentally have u in the queue! I want to start this review with saying I've only heard good things about slice above from friends and family. However, yesterday I got 2 pizzas, cheese and pepperoni and mushroom. The pizzas were spicy, not the usual gooey cheese that has a more salty taste. I definitely will not be ordering again. read more

Ordered the big q with pineapple. Loved it. Normally the chicken gets overcooked when I order a bbq chicken pizza. But not this one. The sweetness of the pineapple complemented the bbq sauce perfectly. Very good read more

Ordered a Chicago-style Cajun Chicken pizza. If that was Chicago style, then wtf? I swear what I received was the correct pizza, only a medium. It was not Chicago style. This is by far one of the best pizza joints in all of the surrounding areas of Cleveland. Pizza is amazing and tasty; come here and pick something out from the menu that you have not had at any other location, as you will be amazed at how good the food is. I just moved back to Ohio after being gone for 3 years. This was one of my 5 star pizza places in the Cleveland area before I left. But they're definitely not no where as good as they used to be. I think giving them 3 stars is generous considering they're customer service is crappy and their pizza was just meh at best this time. I think they definitely could've done better. I started this business back in 1993 based on my experience working at the pizza chains. I saw people paying a lot of money and waiting a long time to receive a inferior product. The employee (who identified themselves as the general manager a few minutes later), kept rambling on about oven temperatures and their products are never frozen. Offered me a free sandwich on my next trip. Said don't bother, after this phone call I don't plan on going back. He started to raise his voice yelling at me on the phone, and informed me I was now banned from the restaurant. 0/5 stars, don't bother.

I got sausage and mushroom and there were plenty of both. I ordered over the phone for pickup and when I arrived the pizza was ready. The women that was at the counter was obviously busy and certainly not friendly. The pickup area was decorated nicely and looked clean. If I'm in the area I may try one of there subs next time. Probably forgo the pizza.

This place's website says they're open until 8pm on weekdays. Yelp says they're open until 8pm on…read moreweekdays. Google Maps says they're open until 8pm weekdays. Apple Maps says both the restaurant and "in-store pickup" are open until *9*pm weekdays. *Their own door* says they're open until 9pm weekdays. I walked in at 7pm. Sorry, they tell me, dining room closes at 7pm, and they turned me away! I double checked all of those sources mentioned above, and none indicated anything about the dining room closing at anything earlier than 8pm. I've had pizza from this place take-out before and generally like it, but, man, this was a crummy experience that left a real bad taste in my mouth. If you're a small restaurateur, maybe take some initiative and make sure your hours are correct on any of the online resources people use? Or even on your own door?

AMAZING Pizza! Loved Death by Pepperoni! Sadly for myself, I don't live in Ohio. Visited A Slice Above while on a trip and I so wish that there was one where I live. I had to visit them a second time before leaving. They have the best pizza I've ever had! Please Ohio residents, please help this place become as successful as it can be. I say this in the hopes that one day there will be one by me. I live in Utah and plan to one day return to Ohio, if only for the sake of having some more pizza from A Slice Above. It's THAT good! We drive a half an hour (passing many other pizza shops) for their thin crust with sweet sauce. It's the best pizza I've had since moving here from NYC. It's a bit greasy at times- but the best pies usually are. They have late hours which rocks when you're hungry on your way home from a night out. They will even walk your pie over to the bar next door (The Office). So we'll order it in person, have a few drinks next door, and when the pie arrives the Office has no problem with you eating it right there at the bar! read more

This pizza is amazing, great taste in both quality and in unique names for pizza. They do offer a variety of different crusts option, including my favorite "Chicago Style". Any place that has a Soft Pretzel pizza is okay in my book. read more
