I have grabbed Ohio Pie a couple of times while I was in the area. Most recently I went in after looking for somewhere that would have my desired toppings: salami, spinach and onions. I placed my order over the phone and it was ready right on time. I enjoy the thick crust and "Ohio style" pizza with sauce on top. The one complaint I have is that there wasn't much onion on my medium pizza. I don't know if the topping makes them nervous or what but I was disappointed. Everything else has been pretty good. I have tried a couple of cookies too. They're all soft and probably a little too sweet for my liking but not bad. There's no seating and it's counter service takeout only. The service is pretty good and they provided plates and napkins when we grabbed one for a picnic dinner. It's a solid pizza choice in the area and it's got that special Ohio flare! read more

We finally got the chance to come here after hearing how delicious this place was from several people. I did expect a lot from this place and it didn't disappoint. We got the fancy pep which comes with a side of the hot honey and we got the birthday cake cookie. The pizza is just perfect! I have very mixed feelings about this place. We got our usual toppings of olives and banana peppers. It tasted like when I was little and made pizza with my mom at home. And we used the crust from a tube from the grocery story. It was soft and fluffy. But not what I'm looking for when I'm ordering pizza from a restaurant. It was almost like a croissant roll bread with pizza toppings, instead of a pizza. Overall, I really wouldn't get it again. However, I really LOVE LOVE LOVED the sauce ! We also got the white pizza (I don't remember the fun name it had) and I thought it was really tasty. If someone wanted to go back here, this is the pizza I would personally get for myself. Also, we showed up 15 minutes before our scheduled time and our pizza was already done. So idk how long it was waiting there! Just a heads up to get there early so you get the freshest pie. Just a small pickup area with no dine in seating, but it's a great option for any time you don't feel like cooking. They have perfect pepperonis and the slightly thick crust is the bomb. This was the best pizza I've ever had!! Admittedly the sauce is slightly sweeter than my usual preference but it's outstanding. The shop is a little small - to go only with a few chairs to sit and wait. I enjoyed it so much that I found myself back later in the week not once, but twice. On my second trip I picked up a smaller pizza for lunch and larger par-baked to finish at home for dinner, which was a huge hit. Just two days later, I returned again and grabbed two more par-baked pizzas to keep on hand for whenever the craving strikes this week since it's about a 30 minute trip. The only downside is the distance this place is from my home. While it's absolutely worth the drive, I'd love to see them expand further east. Captivated by the concept of Ohio style pizza, I stopped at Ohio Pie in Rocky River for the first time. I wasn't expecting much, and was really pleased with my experience. Here's what went really well. I placed my order via phone, and was provided with an expectation that the pizza will be ready in 20 minutes. I arrived earlier for pickup expecting to wait, but my pizza was ready!!! It was perfectly hot! To the extent that it fogged up my windows of my car when I opened the box to get a taste. I have to say that it was the quickest preparation experience and super hot/fresh pizza! That's saying a lot because I frequent a lot of local pizza places. I love meat pizza, and so I ordered large Burly Boy specialty pizza. The pizza is seriously delicious! Perfect presentation, generous and high quality toppings, and very flavorful. It's slightly sweet and really crispy. The crust strikes a perfect balance between crispy and chewy, and each bite feels thoughtfully crafted. You could clearly tell that this pizza was created with high quality in mind. I am a HUGE fan of this pizza! I probably should be eating the pizza and not writing Yelp review! I also got cookie - salted chocolate. The cookie was very soft and extremely fresh. There was an entire case of cookies with different flavors unlike any other pizza place I've seen! Food is easily 10/10! Service was fast, friendly, and efficient via phone and in person. There's primarily takeout-focused setup (no delivery or dine in). There's plenty of parking. There were also plenty of guests picking up pizza. It's a great spot for a casual weekday dinner or weekend comfort meal. I will be telling everyone about my positive pizza experience. Disappointed (due to lack of communication) to share that this pizza is NOT good when its been under the heat lamp and is luke warm. It was an exercise in customer service. When asked how long the pizza had been sitting I was told they had no idea. The receipt lists the time it was paid. So you can add 15-20 mins. Yes, an offer was made to make a fresh one. Ohio Pie Co. has some of the best pizza I've ever had in my entire life...and I've eaten more pizza than the average person ever should in their life. I couldn't even tell you exactly just what one thing I like about this pizza because it's all just so dang good. I'm pumped to try the Parma location! If you haven't tried the place, give it a chance and trust me you will love it! The staff is usually friendly and each location has some pretty awesome artwork covering the walls and the windows. Ohio Pie in Rocky River just opened yesterday. Because I've had pizza from their Brunswick location, I have been eagerly awaiting this new location as its 45 minutes closer to me. I called and placed an order for two medium pizzas, one was the Piggy Bird and the other was the Cheesesteak. I ordered both with vegan cheese instead of regular as I have a dairy allergy. I was informed it would be about 45 minutes. When I pulled in the parking lot about 45 minutes later, there was a line at the door. Word has gotten out that they are open now! Some people paid for their orders and had to wait a little longer, as they were incredibly busy. Luckily, my pizzas were ready by the time I got to the front of the line. I added two vegan cookies as well. I got a Pumpkin Snickerdoodle and a Rocky River - they were two for $5. The whole order was $41. Just as I've had previously, the Piggy Bird was delicious! The cheesesteak was good, just not as good as I expected it to be from previous experiences. And the cookies were absolutely delicious too! I thought perhaps they had forgotten to add red sauce to our pepperoni, pineapple, and mushroom pizza, but I looked on their website and saw that they serve their pizza with a cheese blend and garlic oil. Heck, yeah. Ohio style pizza is on point and unique. I loved the buttery and crispy bottom of the pizza with a generous portion of pepperoni on top that was crispy. Who really rated this place two stars? This has to be top four pizza places in Cleveland area easily. I appreciate that they don't try to be anything other than their own original of pizza, not New York, Chicago or Detroit style. Had the paradise and the basic b. Both were fantastic. Ordered extra sides of sauce for dipping because we are a sauce family. The cookies were a pleasant surprise when I went to pick up. I can't wait to go back and try the other pies! Keep in mind this place is new and very popular so you will have to wait and keep calling to get through. Hard work and perseverance pays off though!
