Lorenzo's is excellent! My favorite has been the wood fired Margherita and the wings but everything I've ordered has been great- the wood fired Americana, the meatballs, the chicken parm pizza (not my favorite but that's just my own taste, it wasn't bad). It's so nice to see a really great restaurant on Broadway as more businesses continue to open in downtown. Usually, I get delivery but a few weeks ago I went in for the first time to pick up my order and it was completely packed, both inside and out on a Friday night with multiple orders to-go. Looking for a pizzeria to take family in the area I was visiting. Lorenzo's came up, we decided to give it a go. It's so nice that these restaurants are coming in and opening shop. This place was located in downtown Lorain which seems to be trying to turn itself around. We walked in and were greeted by the cashier. As I went to place an order the cashier told us go ahead and have a seat wherever we would like, the waitress will take our order. It's was a nice day outside so we decided to sit outside. I asked about the pizza's, ingredients in sauce and handed her my allergy card. Lorenzo himself came out to talk to me, he recommended the wood fire pizza, its tomatoes and not sauce. We placed our orders. We received our pizza pretty quickly for freshly made, from the first bite it was so delicious. The waitress checked on us and I asked is this the same Lorenzo's from Oberlin? I remember visiting there and loving the pizza. The answer is yes, his son runs the one in Oberlin and he runs this one in Lorain. We ordered cannoli's with chocolate chips, the order comes with 4 mini ones. Tasty as well. The bill was $38 for a medium pizza one topping, 6 slices, 3 drinks and four cannolis (mini). That included the 20% tip. This fed 3 people with two slices and we were satisfied. read more

Lorenzo's - just thank you. Thank you for serving me some of the best pizza I've had in a long time. After traveling all day from Texas we found this gem of a restaurant. Pizza perfection! The staff were so incredibly welcoming and friendly to our out of town crew. Gosh I wish I could remember all the names of the sweet girls working. But back to pizza.... The brick oven pizza crust was cooked to perfection. The pizza with spinach and the one with meatballs...I cant put into words how awesome the pizza was. Came upon this restaurant by chance. Best pizza around. House made salad dressing is wonderful.

We've been to this location many times since they've opened. A lot of good things going for it. My number one complaint, they forced you to sit at a table even when you ask for a different table. Nothing kills a dining experience faster than irritating your customer before you get them seated. I completely understand when the restaurant is super busy and people are waiting to be seated. But when management does this when their restaurant is less than half full. It makes absolutely no sense. If it's not that busy, why not let your customer sit what they want? Again, I want to be fair , food is good service is good. Wish somebody in management would address this seating issue. read more

I've always had great experiences at the Oberlin location, so I had high hopes for the Lorain spot. I ordered a medium pan deluxe pizza, but unfortunately, the dough was undercooked. While the outer edges were fine, the center was soggy. I tried reheating it in the oven, but that didn't help. The service was good, and the interior of the restaurant is impressive. Lorenzo's in Lorain, Ohio is the definition of a small-town pizza shop with BIG flair. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was welcoming, warm, and full of personality. We ordered the pepperoni pizza with hot honey, and wow--such a simple twist, but truly change your pizza, change your life level good. That seriously should be their motto. The pizza itself was amazing, but the service took the experience over the top. Devan was our server, and he was incredibly kind and patient, even with my two very energetic 7-year-olds. He never missed a beat and made us feel completely comfortable. The host who greeted us was beyond amazing--always smiling every time he walked by, which really added to the positive atmosphere. To top it all off, the owner stopped by our table and gave my mom a lovely compliment that absolutely made her night. She was elated for the rest of the evening! Lorain County should be known for their local pizza places. If I was the mayor I would promote it as such. I grew up in Oberlin so the pizza had been in my life for a very long time. But now it's in Lorain Lorenzo's has stiff competition. But no doubt you can't go wrong here. They still 2 styles of pizza with great ingredients and made to perfection. Service is great environment feels like a working pizza bar. 1 more thing. I don't recommend salads at a pizzeria. But the blush Italian dressing is in a class of its own. Once you try it.
