Visited for the first time a few weeks back to enjoy their pop up Christmas bar. I made a reservation online due to researching and finding out that there may be long wait times. The reservation system was super easy to navigate and I was able to make a reservation for the same night and were seated immediately. My boyfriend and I mainly went to try their Christmas cocktails. Our waitress was incredible, I wish I had remembered her name. She was so helpful with recommendations and accurate drink descriptions! The only downfall of this restaurant/bar is the prices you pay for the little amount you do get. Although the drinks were fun holiday themed, the flavor as well as the serving sizes were subpar. Amazing little place. A bit pricey so find the 20% coupon in a visitors magazine. Food was AMAZING. Menu was interactive and so fun. You can see pictures of the food items. We got a chef special appetizer - chicken and goat cheese flatbread with diced cucumbers. Sooo good. I also for one of the surf and turf specials - filet and scallops over mashed potatoes and fresh asparagus. Sooo good again. Hubby got the filet. Both steaks cooked to perfection. Bees knees martini is a must. We celebrated our anniversary and they were so sweet with a little sign and table for two in the window. Can't say enough good things. Waitress was so sweet. Great restaurant in the heart of St Augustine. We had reservations and our table was ready when we arrived. Our party had cocktails at the bar then sat a our table and had an amazing meal. We tried 4 different appetizers- egg rolls, hummus, meatballs, and the baked brie. All were delicious. Our entrees were equally good, especially the pork chop and Chicken Bella. Poor business practices. When cancelling a reservation, the staff is unaware of cancellation fees. The management does not care about working with locals to work out a deal to either reimburse the fee or apply it to a future visit. In short, a medical emergency the day of our reservation resulted in us having to cancel our reservation as soon as the restaurant opened. Guess what? They don't care about you or your future spending here but they sure about $20 because "we put it on OpenTable and you have to agree to it". So this place will never see a dime from locals who regularly spend a ton of money eating at local establishments. Train your staff better. read more

Wow! We came in early on Valentines Day - planning on sticking around for happy hour but the amazing menu kept us around. The Baked Brie starter was delicious, perfectly shared by two. The filet was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. Side of mashed potatoes (not pictured) was also fantastic. Our waitress was very sweet, super helpful and answered any menu questions we had. She was super attentive with drinks and continuously checked up on us. Also had a great conversation with the manager (I believe), really nice guy!! The Appetizers were Outstanding and the food, Shrimp and Grits was okay but the drinks were a joke. My Old Fashion was the smallest drink I have ever been served, ever! The total drink was no more than 2 fingers. How can someone make an old fashion of only 2 fingers AND I was charged $15.95. This was our first visit to Forgotten Tonic and we will definitely be back. Made a reservation for 8 p.m. and arrived a few minutes early but we were sat within a couple minutes. It took several minutes for a server to approach our table but we took that time to look through their extensive menu of specials, drinks and food. We ordered drinks - Bee's Knees, Peach Better Have My Money, G&T and a Pisco Sour. All fantastic! Went heavy on the appetizers because there were just too many good choices - Baked Brie, Lima Bean Hummus (wow!), Cajun eggrolls and two orders of warm bread. Mains were good - short ribs, fish sandwich, & chicken bella. The kids menu made us laugh and had great options. Our server was wonderful - Abby. We didn't end up ordering dessert - too full. Next time! I had some concerns with parking but we were able to find a spot a couple blocks away. Really nice choice for dinner and off the beaten path of what we normally do when in town. Probably will not return as the 2.99% service charge appears on the bill and if on the mentioned, not visible. Recommended tip on the bill ranged in the 20%+. Not a problem for me to tip above this standard suggestion with good service, etc but don't ask for the customer to pay for the mgr and staff to graze while asking me to subsidize and suggest tipping levels. Love this place in Saint Augustine. I found it while attending the First Friday art walk. Me and a few friends stopped in for a cocktail and appetizers. I loved the Ahi Tuna appetizer. It was so good. Fresh sliced Ahi tuna on top of Seaweed salad and octopus. The flavors were just bursting in my mount. It was prepared well and had a beautiful presentation. I took my husband here again a week later for happy hour. We had a few cocktails and we ordered the Ahi Tuna. He loved it as much as I did. It's just fantastic. What a great place for dinner and craft cocktails. Great selection of wines too. The new owner is making changes which were much needed. There is art by local artists featured on the walls. It is changed out regularly and for sale. The place has a NYC feel when dining. Love Aviles street where Cellar6 is located, the oldest street In America. You can eat outside as well and soak up the vibe. Definitely a place to eat when in St Augustine, for tourists and locals. read more

Never got a chance to experience this place. Made reservations for my husband, son and myself on our way into St. Augustine from Tallahassee but our late arrival and college move in mishaps made it impossible to make our reservation on time. I called 2 hours prior to my reservation to cancel and she said "thank you for letting us know" and mentioned nothing of the cancellation policy. Shame on me for not scrolling all the way to the bottom of the open table app to read it. Shame on them for not letting me know they would charge me when I called to cancel. I've made reservations in the finest restaurants in the biggest cities and have never heard of such a thing. Things happen and plans change-if you have the decency to call and cancel you should show some decency and not charge the customer. I will not be calling back! read more
