We received amazing service when we walked up for take out! The guy who took our order made good recommendations and our meal was ready sooner than promised. Delish and a delightful, pleasant service experience. read more

I have a handicap that requires a service animal. She is very small and all restaurants have been very accommodating as required by Federal law. Since she is so small restaurants have allowed her to lay her beside me on the seat below table top level. Often times the waitresses have taken our order and served our meal never seeing her until after we are through eating. The restaurant manager at the Ford Garage was rude and belligerent and prompted us to leave the restaurant after ordering our meal. I don't know if he violated the letter of the law but I will never go to that establishment again. He needs to understand the rule of "reasonable accommodation" and treat individuals with handicaps with more respect. Both my wife and I were humiliated by his rude behavior. read more

I called in an order for Fords garage. When DoorDash delivered the order was completely wrong. Of course Door Dash Only gave a partial credit but I gave them another chance yesterday and Fords Garage gave the Dasher someone else's order for me. DoorDash then called them and placed a new order for me free which was a good gesture and even told them what I wanted to try to make sure I got the right order. When it was delivered it was still completely wrong including dry burgers as I had requested the barbecue on the side so they wouldn't get soggy. I spoke to a manager Edward at Ford's Garage as I had purchased the family pack of burgers which is quite costly as well as some all a cart items and he was very rude stating he did not recall any family packs going out yesterday insinuating I was lying which was very insulting. I told him at least three did - the one I received that was someone else's order my order that went to someone else and then a replacement order for me that was yet again wrong. He was very rude and condescending and acted like my issue was no big deal and it is because I spent good bit of money in there to receive the wrong order two days in a row 3 times. Worst part about it is that he told me he was going to email me a voucher to replace the order last night or today and he did not - as a matter of fact he's off today so it appears there was no intent to do so. A manager will not even talk to me on the phone today. They claim he's the only one that handles any kind of credits or vouchers. I have managed large scale retail businesses and I know that the manager on duty has the power to do so. I feel very scammed right now and I just want to warn you that if you go to Ford's garage you may want to pick it up yourself so that you can check your meal because if you use door dash you don't get your full money back and in my case since it was a replacement order they won't even give you a partial back. read more

For a new restaurant, one would expect that the tables don't wobble. Ours did. We stopped in for a mid-afternoon late lunch (3 PM) so that there would be a lot of vacant tables, as we are seniors and concerned about COVID-19. We were seated in the middle of a row of three tables along the service path from the kitchen to the outside tables; I'll call them table A (closest to kitchen), B, and C. None of the tables were more than two feet apart. While there was a couple in table C, they were leaving as we were arriving. However, the two busboys clearing the table pulled their masks down so that they could talk to one another. Our waitress, Laree, was excellent in all respects, and this review should not reflect on the wait staff--all of whom consistently wore their masks (although the hostess and busboys could use additional training in COVID-19 precautions--more to follow). I especially enjoyed a German Pilsner Draft, while my wife enjoyed her Corbett Canyon wines. Before we were served our entree, the hostess sat another trio at table A; while one of the three used a wheelchair, there were about fifteen other tables and booths available, but the hostess insisted that they sit at that table, immediately adjacent to us. We hurriedly finished our meals and drinks, taking a doggie bag for what we didn't want to scarf down, and requested our check. Before the check arrived, another couple were seated at Table C, boxing us between two tables with no social distancing. Last time my wife and I even consider dining there until we get an effective COVID-19 vaccination. read more

Very Meh. Loved the atmosphere, the booths were super comfy, the cocktails were good, and the service was great. The food just fell flat and was a little pricey. I was thrilled they offered the Beyond Burger as a substitute for vegetarians, but it wasn't well-executed. It was too thick (which I'm not a fan of thick burgers - but I get that some people may love that) - but all around, it was just kind of messy and underwhelming. The $2.50 upcharge for the Beyond, plus the $2.00 upcharge for onion rings were crazy, making it a $16 burger that wasn't worth it. We also ordered it as the black and bleu, without bacon, so you'd think they'd knock down the upcharge since we were also taking protein off of it. The onion rings were completely overcooked, hard, dry and crumbly. We also ordered the Berries and Gorgonzola salad - it was fresh and bountiful, BUT, the strawberry vinaigrette dressing was way too sweet and overpowering. Normally I like dressings on the sweet side, but this was not good and overpowered the whole thing. All around, I wouldn't return or recommend the place. It's a kitchy tourist place with sub-par, overpriced food. read more

We came in from out of town and had no idea what to expect. Our server Colin was great. Very personable right away and made our night extra enjoyable. Food was awesome too. He was really attentive and we would definitely return if we lived in the area. Huge thank you to Colin and the rest of the staff! read more

Collin is awesome ... great service, great conversation, great service! Thank you!! - SML

The staff was pleasant enough but 4 of us dined at about 4pm so it was not busy but the food was not hot when served. The mixed drinks were fair. The burgers were just "ok". The sweet potato tater tots were cold and soft. The pretzel appetizer overly dark, burnt tasting, but cold. The wedge fries not good at all, mostly because not hot and crispy. I hope this is because they are newly opened but really disappointed! Finally... the staff would clean all tables with the same gloves and handle the cloth napkins for the new tables with those same dirty gloves. Even leaving the napkins from previous guests (that were not used) for the new guests. With Covid should be more careful. read more

Join the waitlist online or make a reservation! This place gets busy any night of the week! The food is really good, one of my favorite burger places. Staff is very friendly and seem to love their job. Side portions could be larger especially when paying to upgrade the side. Always wish there was more mac n cheese on the side then what is provided but still very good. read more

The Ford name carries a history of customer service and outstanding management. Although our food was good, the manager took the opportunity to show that customer service is not a priority with this restaurant and it's given name, even when Covid crippled the restaurant industry. We made reservations for 2 tables since they only took reservations for up to 5 we had 6 and 2 babies so a reservation was a priority, they said they could accommodate us within a few minutes and then suddenly the manager Larre said it won't be possible they don't do reservations for large parties on the weekends. Fair enough except the table the hostess was prepared to give us was reserved for a larger party. What? They were kind enough to sit us next to each other, forbid us to turn the tables to be a group, even giving us the same waitress and one check. A whole lot of drama and 0 customer service, we won't be back since there are many other restaurants that would welcome our party and not have separated a family who hadn't seen each other for over 6 months. The lack of customers on a Friday night should be a red flag. read more

Excellent restaurant! The Buffalo chicken Mac n cheese was amazing. Will be back again very soon!

We arrived at 5:00. The host seemed bothered to find us a table. They are not limiting capacity at all with Covid so we asked for a booth in the corner very close to the kitchen that was a bit further from people. They accommodated us. The table was dirty. We were going to ask the server to clean it... but one never came to the table. We left after about 10 mins and went to Sonny's up the road. read more

Meh... mediocre experience. Awesome concept and decor! We had high hopes, but overall could have been better. Long wait for food. Wrong entree delivered. We highly recommend the onion rings they're very good! Burgers were good. Customer service could step up a notch. The host staff at the door needs to realize they're the customer's first impression when they walk in and also the customer's last impression when they leave therefore make sure to smile and say hello, and smile & say goodbye, come back soon! The menu is diverse so we'll give it another try. read more

We tried to order from here through DoorDash and it didn't end up working (DoorDash stinks) so we placed the order through the restaurant website. They got everything ready so quickly and perfectly, everything was exactly to order and absolutely delicious. The onions rings were awesome even after being in the car for a while. All of the burgers had little flags with the burger names on them so it was easy to determine which order was which. Dinner for 6 and two apps for less than $100. Great!! read more

The food here is good but the experience is through the roof. The concept is great and the whole place has attitude. We'll be back.

Went for lunch. So surprised to see a packed restaurant. No social distancing. No masks were enforced. People standing inside waiting for tables standing by where we sat with no masks on. We wore our masks the whole time at our table even as we were very uncomfortable. Food good but not worth the risk. Server was awesome. read more

We stopped here on our way home , we were very pleased ! The best burgers we have had in a long time !

as saint augustine natives, my family and i were definitely excited to try this out. we made a reservation for mother's day and we sadly wish we chose somewhere else. the servers and the customer service was great, along with the atmosphere of the restaurant, but the food was not it. we ordered 5 burgers (one kids cheeseburger) and the lobster mac and cheese, and only the kids burger was sufficient. the burgers were all dry and flavorless, and the lobster mac and cheese was dry both times, as we tried to send it back the first time. kristenda was an AMAZING server and took the mac and cheese off of the order, and even gave us a bonus gift card to make it right for us. if we were to come again, we would try other food! read more

Been here 2x since opening. First time with my wife who is not generally a fan of bar food places. She got a basic burger and fries and enjoyed it. And she especially loved the atmosphere and usage of car parts throughout. Cool handle, sinks, etc. Next visit was with son who loves burgers same as I. Both times, burgers were exactly as ordered. And delicious. Beer taps aplenty. Seems like a great place to visit-bring visitors, etc. I wouldn't go to watch a game, but I definitely would go for a great burger and 2-3 beers. read more

On Tuesday evening, when our friends were in town, we met for dinner at your restaurant. Besides our meals being delicious, our server, who was Larree, was an absolute sweetheart. Probably one of not the BEST servers in St. Augustine, Fl. We can not say enough about her, from her exuberant personality to her exceptional service, she made our dinner experience truly enjoyable. We would like to thank the Mgr. Louis for his great converstation and making us feel right at home as well. We look forward to returning in the near future. read more

A disaster. Cold burgers. Asked for medium rare got well done. They replaced it with well done. No utensils. Noisy. Empty catsup bottle. Untrained staff. Lousy manager. Agreed it was well done after looking at the two different burgers. You couldn't get me back there read more

We've been to the restaurant 6 times. The first 3 times were great! The last three times were not good. The last visit we waited & waited a long time and when the food came it wasn't hot! Today 3/28/21 we sat at the bar thinking maybe it would be different. IT WAS NOT!! We got one appetizer to share. That was a little slow coming out but at least reasonable. We ordered 3 dinners and waited well over an hour. We asked our waitress how much longer it would be and she said "just a second". We joked with her and said you mean a minute right? About 20 min. later we asked again and she said "I'll check on it". No one ever got back to us about what was going on so about 10 min. later we asked her to ring us up for what we had because we didn't want to wait any longer! Her name was Anna. Stacey said don't leave.... but at that point it was to late! If someone at least told us what was going on we wouldn't have left. We know Stacy from her working at Ruby Tuesday's. We love her! She knows our character, we don't do that and we don't complain but this was wrong. I didn't expect them not to charge us for what we had but a little discount would have been nice. We are members of the fords garage discount club, I'm not sure if that's the proper name but they take your phone number. So you can see we were planning on being regular customers This was more than disappointing to say the least! read more

Outstanding service and really good food! The atmosphere and decor are also really interesting! I highly recommend!

Did an Uber eats order, they are by no means a cheap restaurant and they messed up my burger. Did not have onions or bbq sauce as the description and picture clearly showed. Below my expectations and macaroni and cheese was very bland. read more

The place was way cool. There was a 45 min wait but not out of line with our expectations, so no problem. We wanted to eat outside but did not stay for one reason. We could not hear ourselves talk (no exaggeration). The music was at a blasting mind altering level. I expect this at a concert or nightclub venue but not when I'm out eating lunch. Staff had no interest in turning the volume down. Shame.... first impressions tend to last. read more

Funky, fun and good casual food presented well. Great burger, cooked perfectly, with the best fries I have had just about anywhere. For the "more mature" patrons , it is probably best to go during lunch when you can sit outside where it is much quieter than the interior if the restaurant is busy. read more

Let me start by saying that the food is good (not great but good). The French Onion soup is more on the very good side of the scale and I couldn't be happier that they serve Guinness in the appropriate glass. (Thank you for that. Seriously!) I just can't get over the prices. $13-15 for a half pound burger with fries is just excessive. They are tasty but again, it's ground beef not filet mignon ($34/lb at your local butcher shop). I've been twice now and the kitchen was slow to send out food both times. I will say I had a dazzling experience with the waitstaff both times. Super nice and accommodating both times. Really quick with drinks and orders. It's just the prices. My God this is St. Augustine not NYC. If a friend asks me to bring my family, I'll begrudgingly go but I'm not making a special trip. It's average with above average cost and wait times. I'm giving 4 stars instead of 3 for the wait staff and the Guinness in the appropriate glass. read more

Wanted to see what all the hype was about so we went a couple of months ago with some family. After not being able to make a reservation online, called ahead and advised a party of 6 was coming in. Waited over an hour once we were there but, service at the table was good & food was great. But since this visit, we have tried to visit as a party of 2 twice now. Apparently online you can't make a reservation for the same day, and can't make a call ahead. The first time, we were greeted at the door by a hostess who made it clear we weren't even able to walk inside to check out the first come, first serve bar; as she stated "I'm going to go ahead and say it's full." With it being dinner time, and the regular wait time being over 2 hours, we decided to go elsewhere. The second time returning, this time at 2:30pm on Sunday afternoon, after calling ahead & being told there was a 35-50minute wait, was told they could not do a call ahead. Stopped in anyway, at the counter was told 45-60 min wait, but the bar was first come first serve. While walking from the door to the fully seated bar, we noticed multiple open, clean tables not having been used to seat anyone. We again, decided to go elsewhere. Very disappointing that a restaurant with such hype and attention draw does not seem to have the capability of accepting customers in a very well manner. Honestly, not even going to go back due to the lack of system to be able to accommodate their guests. We eat out frequently in many popular, high volume restaurants, and this one just seems to not care to open any avenues to allow their guests a chance to visit. read more
