Maddie or server was AMAZING! She really tried to do our best for our large group and help fix the issues we had. We were seated outside and the weather was nice and we really enjoyed our table. Most of the adults were able to enjoy a beer or two and Maddie made sure that we were taken care of and had what we needed. My wings were good and the broccoli was well cooked. The broccoli was brought out about 5-7 minutes after my wings, but not an issue. My daughter ordered a burger with no cheese with lettuce and tomato. The burger came out with just meat and bun. No worries - Maddie was on it to get the items and bring them out. When the lettuce was brought out there were bugs - not just 1 or 2, but like 8-10 fruit fly type bugs crawling around the lettuce. Maddie immediately apologies and we wanted to tell them so they didn't serve it out to anyone else. She said she told her manager and they would be coming by. They never did. We had twins there celebrating a birthday and we wanted to celebrate. We were told they could only do one free dessert. No problem - happy to pay for one so they could both celebrate, but the manager was going to come out to talk to us. The check was brought to the table and still no manager. I would not stop back in at this location which is unfortunate since the servers do their best to help and get what is needed, but managers not seem to want to do much. We never once yelled or requested anything except to speak with a manager to make sure no one else would get served with bugs.

I discovered this place years ago but was never really motivated to dine here. The menu did not appeal to me in the sense of uniqueness so I never made an attempt. We were staying nearby and hubs wanted to try Ford's for whatever reason. We went for dinner on a weekday and it was very busy. We decided to sit at the bar and were greeted shortly after. We looked over the menu to browse and the bartender returned after a couple of minutes. We each ordered a beer and burgers. While we were sitting there, we noticed a strip on the bar that is iced for your drinks to sit on! We only saw this once previously and thought it was the best idea! There was also that bright green light strip along the bar that was really hurting my eyes but my eyes are super sensitive to light. Our food arrived in a timely fashion and the food was actually good. I couldn't finish my burger so I took the other half to go. The bartenders looked miserable and I didn't notice anyone smiling. The bathroom sinks were confusing to use, even though there were vague instructions how to turn the faucet on.

Fords in Gainesville has a nice vibe and depending when you go it can be a bit busy. We ventured out on a Saturday night around 7 and we didn't have to wait for a table which was nice. We went over the menu that has a nice variety of food to choose from which includes things like nachos, cheese curbs, kettle chips, onion rings. Edsel's hot pretzels, salads, burgers and well different burgers that can make your mouth water. Buffalo chicken dip, wings, sesame crusted ahi tuna and much more! We both got burgers I got the American Standard which is a basic burger with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion and pickle planks on a brioche bun. It was a decent burger but it wasn't anything extraordinary just a decent burger. The fries were good but again very basic, we enjoyed it but I don't think that either of us would go back again unless more or less for the atmosphere. My friend had the patty melt swiss cheese, caramelized onions and thousand Island dressing on toasted Rye Bread. The portions and the price are pretty good and the service is fairly friendly and adequate. Maybe I was expecting a little more. I'll give it 5 stars in advance. We didn't get to eat because the wait was one hour, which is understandable on a Friday evening. The inside looks really cool. I think the food there must be good.

College game day, so we expected a crowd. Lucky for us, we saw a couple of spots at the bar, and had a seat. The service was pretty good, bartenders were attentive and very friendly. We ordered our drinks and food. We had the potato chip appetizer with cheese, etc. it was just a little on the spicy side for us (we are wimps with that) so we didn't eat much. We both had hamburgers, they took a little longer than expected to come out, but they were good burgers when they did. Not exactly piping hot, but just a couple of decent burgers. I definitely recommend the onion rings, good stuff. Overall, we had a pretty good time, football on all of the tvs, nice people, good food. At the end of it, we both left happy with full belly's. We will probably see you for the next game.

Stopped by Ford's Garage in Gainesville and had a great experience. The service was solid from start to finish. Friendly, attentive, and never overbearing. We started with the fried pickles as an appetizer, and they were on point. Crispy, well seasoned, and served hot with a good dipping sauce. Definitely a solid way to start the meal. I ordered the Bison Burger with tots, and everything came out hot and well prepared. The burger was juicy, cooked just right, and the tots were crispy and seasoned well. I also tried the fried strips with dipping sauce, which were fresh and flavorful. My friend ordered the ribs, and they were a standout. Tender, well sauced, and paired perfectly with the fries. Overall, good food, good service, and a cool atmosphere. Definitely a spot I'd come back to when I'm in Gainesville.

Came for a quick weeknight meal. Was very quiet but to be expected for a Monday night at 8pm. We ordered the onion ring tower, a patty melt, the estate burger, and the fish and chips. The fish was ginormous, bigger than my hand and I have big hands. The fries underneath got a little greasy due to the fish being placed on top vs around the fish. The patty melt was solid. The estate burger seemed a little thick and dry. Took about halfway through the burger (everyone trying a bite) and a look at the menu to realize they forgot the white truffle bacon aioli. We asked for some on the side and it definitely helped out the burger. Overall a good experience but didn't love the items we got as much as the first time. Sad we didn't have room for dessert. Maybe next time. Side quest, visit the restrooms even if you don't have to go. Very cool keeping the theme in there (guys too).

I really enjoy the relaxing atmosphere. I always sit at the huge bar with a frost strip. Dylan was our personable server and he makes great drinks. Enjoyed it as always.

Let me start by saying I absolutely hate leaving bad reviews. I've worked in the service industry,…read moreboth bussing tables when I was younger and waitressing, so I'm very understanding. For me to leave a review this negative, the service truly had to be poor. Last night, we chose this place to celebrate my Irish heritage with a green beer and some light food. There is plenty of parking and outdoor seating, which is a plus. However, when we arrived, there was a line of people waiting for a table, and it quickly turned chaotic. One woman tried to cut the line, and another wanted to argue over a small booth that her family wouldn't have even fit in. Eventually, we were seated. I understand that holidays can be busy, so we were trying to be patient. Our waiter came over, dropped off menus, said "I'll be right back," and disappeared. After 25 minutes of waiting at the table, I had to flag down another waitress. Meanwhile, at least three tables that were seated after us already had drinks and had placed their food orders. I understand being busy, but at the very least, we should have been greeted or offered drinks. The waitress we flagged down said she would help us, which seemed promising at first, but then we waited another 20 minutes just for drinks. I'm not sure if it was an understaffing issue or something else, but the service was extremely poor. We considered leaving a one-star review, but the waitress did seem like she was trying. The food was okay, we ordered light items, and it still took quite a while to arrive. Overall, we would recommend skipping this place. There are plenty of other options in town that will treat you better. We work hard, and when we go out, we expect at least standard service.

Apple Maps struggled to provided proper directions to parking and it might be because the area is under construction so just give yourself time to find Loosey's especially if going for dinner. It sure is worth the effort though, especially if you get Matthew as your server. He is full of wit and great local knowledge. He charmed our table from our first encounter. Loosey's has to be a local favorite because the quality and freshness of the food is outstanding. Matthew is a local treasure and made our experience there so memorable and fun. We all remarked that it must be so electric there when live music is on stage or it's a Gator game day. We started with the loaded potato skins. There were 5 large pieces that were covered with toppings and delivered pipping hot. I could easily order that as a meal next time I'm in town. Their house ranch dipping sauce that is drizzled on top was delicious. Several in our group ordered the Chic-fil Loosey's, which is a buttermilk fried chicken sandwich, but I wasn't able to grab a photo as they were so eager to get started eating it. The portion of chicken breast was extremely large and the batter was perfectly crispy. Both diners exclaimed it was one of their all- time favorite chicken sandwiches they had ever eaten. Another diner took advantage of their wing special and exclaimed the Buffalo Garlic sauce was fantastic and she paired them with their ranch as well. She loved their added touch of the small paper basket topping the plate of wings for the bones. I had the Classic Beef Burger and it was cooked perfectly. There was a nice peppery flavor to the grill of the burger and the patty size was more than I expected. Especially for the price. I was so happy we found Loosey's. It was really good food. I encourage you to look past the construction mess and the "old wooden bar" stereotypes and trust me when o say, they take great pride on preparing high quality food.

Beautiful day so we sat outside in a lovely patio area. Great beer menu with draughts imported or domestic as well as a full bar. The menu was pretty much standard bar fare I had fish and chips and my wife had Mac and cheese. The fries on my plate were covered in salt. I tried to shake it off and wound up with a layer of salt on my plate. Most restaurant food is too salty for me as I cook at home low salt but this was crazy. I decided to try the Mac and cheese. It also had a cap of salt on it. I tried to dig to the bottom of the crock thinking that wouldn't be salty but I was wrong. The dish was prepared with salt throughout. Time to go and I did complain. The waitress said she hears that a lot and she offered to replace our meal to go but we didn't take her up on that offer. The fish was great! And we loved the vibe of the restaurant inside and out. I would go back again but knowing that I would order SALT FREE !!

Needless to say this the Metro diner truly surpassed my expectations. We walked in and were greeted immediately and asked if we would like to sit outside which is a covered area or indoors. We chose inside given it being a hot humid day and wanting that extra comfort. The vibe felt amazing with all the smiles and yes even though busy all the wait staff was hopping doing their business! We were seated and told about the specials and given the menu. I was unsure what I wanted because I think I could have eaten a little bit of everything! I did ask the waitress a couple of suggestions and one of them was the pancakes I had chosen. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner all day! How cool is that and rare. They had a chicken and waffle special that was actually half a chicken ( pieces ) fried with Belgium waffles, powdered sugar and sweet strawberry butter served with their signature sweet and spicy sauce. I'll be honest when I had seen someone else get their plate I was surprised. It looked absolutely incredible and well tremendous. On their specials they had banana pudding pancakes or waffles, this also sounded amazing. It had walnuts, butter and powdered sugar and definitely banana. I am most certainly glad that I chose this as it was incredibly. Super fluffy, flavorful and the banana was not overwhelming there was a perfect balance of flavors. There was a sauce on them that I assume was the banana pudding. It was light and just enough to not overpower the pancake itself. We had also ordered croissant French toast and my son absolutely loved them. They were crispy on the outside yet fluffy and flavorful with a fantastic texture topped with some powdered sugar. Some ordered hash browns, these were also delicious and homemade with a great texture and the portion like all the other dishes pretty large. We had all tried the biscuits and gravy. These too were delicious with such a nice balance of flavors. The biscuits indeed homemade. We were all very pleased with everything. Some eggs over easy and bacon cooked perfectly. The coffee honestly the best I've had in years. I'm a coffee drinker and I cannot figure this coffee was outstanding! I had four cups and wish for more ha ha. Best of all I must compliment the service. I have not been to a restaurant of any sort with such attentive service, quality service as we received here in years. The waitress kept refilling my coffee and water, brought my son more soda ( even a container to take his home ) asked everyone if they needed anything at appropriate times and was extremely kind and considerate. I will be back and I highly recommend the Metro Diner for a great meal, quality service and relaxed environment that you will enjoy. The main dishes were rich and flavorful... tried the Moqueca- mahi in coconut milk, and the Feijoada- a rich pork stew... both with rice. It was drizzling lightly off and on, and when we walked up we asked to sit at a table under an umbrella close to the building, providing some cover. The server told us that table was taken, and we were seated at a table far out in the courtyard basically next to the parking spaces under a tree.... It had no umbrella, so we did end up getting a bit damp. And, being a longer trek from the restaurant meant that the service was haphazard... for instance, our waters were never refilled. The food made up for these shortcomings, but if there is a next time, we'll be more assertive about sitting on the actual dining patio. The slower service resulted in not staying for any desert... we'd had a long day and were ready to call it a night, but the passion fruit mousse sounds interesting. No one ever came to claim the table we were turned away from at the start, it turns out.
