I've been coming here for the better part of a decade now. I can't believe how time flies. In that 9-10 years Culver's is still one of my favorite fast food joints. The fish and chips are still amazing; just make sure you cool them on a napkin to reduce some of the fry oil and so you burn the roof of your mouth. This fish is freshly made to order. I love the pork lion sandwich. Straight out of Indiana. It can be a bit dry so mayo, pickle and lettuce set it up nicely. I didn't get a burger this time but they're still great. As I watch all other burger chains go through shrinkflation, Culver's has maintained their quality. read more

We went inside for a take out order since the drive thru line was long, they have a lot of parking, and it was raining so I ended up needing to use the restroom while we were in the drive thru lane. There were only 2 people ordering at the counter so I used the ladies' room real quick while my husband reviewed their menu. The water at the main sink was not running at all so I could not use it to wash my hands. Luckily, I carry a spray bottle of rubbing alcohol with me so I just used that. I hope the female employees have a different restroom because they wouldn't be able to wash their hands either The lady that took the order was a little distant / disinterested / zoning out, polite but not very friendly like she's rather be somewhere else. We got our fountain drink first and waited for our order to be prepared: Culver Deluxe double meal with a side order of large onion rings. Total was about $19. It took about 10 minutes and the To Go busboy gave us our food, he was pleasant, polite, even smiled and thanked us for visiting. We left and had our food on the drive home - the Culver Deluxe was made well. It tasted fresh and the veggies were crisp. The large order of onion rings were crunchy just like we wanted them. And the crinkle fries were a great addition to complete our fast food craving. If I didn't visit the restroom, my rating would be higher. Also, staff allowed a non service animal (looked like a poodle mix) on a leash walk around the ordering counter area. I like pets but not near my restaurant orders. Maybe there should be a sign on the door to prevent that. Anyway, I hope the women's restroom faucet issue is resolved soon since that is major health and safety issue. Not sure if we'll be back again, but I did submit my main concerns to the Culver survey so maybe they'll contact me about it. read more

I have since been back to Culver's a couple times and gotten their double patty burger with all the possible toppings. It is an elite burger and always so juicy. They make it fresh and so there is no fast food place I think that has this level of quality. Service is quick but I notice when I order through app for pickup they take longer so I just go through the window to order. I always get their onion rings instead of fries since the fries are nothing fancy for me and taste like any other French fry I've had but the onion rings have a great sweet and salty taste to them. Finish it off with your choice of sofa or one time I went full big back and got a vanilla brownie hot fudge sundae and it was incredible. This place is the epitome of comfort food. read more

We were pleasantly surprised by this place! We even had a special guest for this food review, Jaxx the dog, and he absolutely loved it. I ordered the chicken tenders and fries, while Jaxx got a hamburger. The chicken was really good, aside from one fatty piece that Jaxx happily took care of. The fries were hot, fresh, and perfectly salted. As for Jaxx, he devoured his burger so fast that he might just be your biggest fan! We were really happy with our meal and would definitely come back if we need a quick bite. I also think it's great that they give you a drive-thru number instead of rushing orders out the window. I'd much rather wait a few extra minutes for hot, freshly made food than get something that's cold or undercooked. Great experience overall! read more

I got their mushroom Swiss burger for lunch the next day for when I went to school. The burgers were pretty good but I'd assume they'd be even better if I ate it fresh. Drive through, it was average wait time, and waiting on our food was not that long either.Considering it was around dinner time. Wife tried one of their new smoothie style drinks called coolers she enjoyed it, our burgers were hot. Both the fries and the cheese curds were almost perfect. They were hot as well ate those on the way home, i'm definitely.Gonna go back soon.Still, the same culvert as I remember. I'm surprised there's a Culver's in Gainesville as this is very much a Midwest staple. We did the drive thru and it was quick service! Overall everything came out fresh and I love their burgers. It's always so juicy and so fresh. There's definitely a difference in the way their meats are cooked compared to other burger joints. Last time I ate there I had one of their cheeseburgers and everything was going fine until I bit into the burger and felt something fuzzy in my mouth and it was quite in fact a dreadlock I was utterly disgusted and I'm never gonna eat there again I'm very convinced that they do not use proper health measurements such as hairnets/gloves. read more

I have come to this location twice since moving to Gainesville this past summer. It in a great area near Butler Plaza and a lot of other shops. There is plenty of parking and they do offer a drive thru. As for the food, Culver's, in my opinion, is one of the higher quality fast for burger chains out there. The food is always made to order and very fresh. The meat is fresh and never frozen. While the cheese is from Wisconsin and has the most flavor. And you cannot go to Culver's without ordering a concrete mixer. A mixer consists of either their chocolate or vanilla custard, mixed in with however many things you want! As for the customer service, pretty decent. We did go on a Friday evening and it was slightly busy. Some of the staff seemed more vibrant than others, but overall the service is friendly and VERY accommodating. The food doesn't take long to come out either. The ordering process is very simple and they will find your number to serve your food to you. The restaurant is kept very clean as well. Lots of families were eating there and it was very welcoming. I ended up ordering their sourdough melt this time with a side of steamed broccoli, medium cheese curds, and a small chocolate concrete mixer. The sourdough melt consists of their sourdough bread, buttered, and toasted. Served with two beef patties, cheddar cheese, and sautéed onions. I added ketchup, mustard, and tomatoes as well. This was delicious! It was reminiscent of a smash burger. It was greasy, but in the best way. Would recommend this or their deluxe burger! The broccoli was pretty standard, just steamed. The cheese curds were heavenly. They use both white and yellow cheddars. The curds are not too greasy and have the perfect amount of breading. This is a must if you have never been to Culver's. My concrete mixer was the perfect way to round out my meal. went with the chocolate, with marshmallow fluff and chocolate cake mix ins. I ordered salted caramel as well, but it wasn't in the mixer. Overall, this is a great Culver's location. The staff is accommodating and on top of things. The restaurant is kept very clean as well. As for the food, haven't ordered something I haven't liked yet! I was amazed by the health code violations here. One staff member had super long hair that wasn't tied back. She had gloves on to do register & was repeatedly pushing her hair away with those gloves. Then still with the same gloves, started touching peoples food to bag orders. She left the restaurant to deliver orders outside for drive thru customers and came back inside still with the same gloves on. Also they are not friendly. I believe the manager gave me my food & literally did not say a word to me. I thanked him and he still said nothing. read more

This is usually our go to Culver's when we are in Gainesville. This past trip was very disappointing. They were out of cheese curds and also completely out of honey mustard. They had already charged me for the honey mustard before they let me know this. I did swap out my sauce for something else. The staff was friendly. If you've been to Dairy Queen before then you have essentially been to Culver's, plus or minus a few menu items. I got the chili cheese fries and fried cheese curds. The fries were tasty, exactly the kind of comfort food you would expect. I just wish the cheese curds were a little hotter coming out of the fryer because by the time I took a bite they were lukewarm. Culver's has a wide selection of malts, floats, shakes, and frozen custards. The unique thing about Culver's is that every day there is a different "flavor of the day" of ice cream. One of my favorite things about this restaurant is their butter burgers, the authentic taste out ranks a few burgers in the city. Another plus is their crunchy crinkle fries, they are amazing! The service was amazing and brief line always. We went through the drive-thru on a Saturday night and it was slightly packed in the inside and the thru but the line was moving fast and we were pleased. The "butter burger" (of which I know no history) is a very good, seared thin burger. I wish I'd ordered fewer toppings. The burger was that good. Nice soft bun. Apparently cheese is on every burger as we didn't order cheeseburgers, but that's what we got. Internet says hours are 10:30 to 10:00. This store is open 10:00 to midnight. This location is so busy that it takes away from the customer experience. Parking lot gets maxed out fast. If you need something fast, itll take half an hour. The order for myself cost 23$ which i thought was pricey because i didnt even order a shake. The burger tasted great but didnt look anything like the photo. The photo is like they inflated the angus meat and when you get it, half the size squished together. One of my favorite items here is the cheese curds but they should actually title these as culvers fried cheese curds since they are fried and normal cheese curds are never fried. I recently had the pleasure of eating at this place. It is a new place for Gainesville so I wanted to try it out. Upon entering everything is clean and new. I like the cute trophy case with their mascot cheese curd in it. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I ordered my usual chicken strips and fries. I got my choice of sauce. Husband got a burger with onion rings. Chicken strips were a good size and had little breading which I like it means tI got more meat. The fries were crispy and hot. The burger was a decent size and you got a fair amount of onion rings cooked beautifully. I also got a scoop of the flavor of the day. Very yummy and for a single scoop very good amount. The perfect way to end a meal. The seating was good they have social distancing in place. Staff wears masks and keep everything wiped down and clean. The location is very clean and the entire location is a few years old now but it still has that new feeling. The staf was all friendly and after I ordered the brought my food to my table. I do not often get excited about fast food restaurants but Culver's is really just a cut above. Now, I will say, it is pricier than a McDonald's or a Burger King but it is worth it. I very rarely eat fast food at all, so it is hard for me to compare Culver's to say, Wendy's or other fast food restaurants nor do I know exactly where in the hierarchy Culver's is considered to fall, so it's hard to gauge their food in terms of quality against their peers. That said, I was impressed overall. The building of course is brand new so it's clean and nice, and the staff are very patient with customers such as myself who come in having no experience with Culver's and no clue what they'll order, thus asking a million questions. I wound up ordering the fried shrimp dinner plate and one of their concrete frozen custards. The shrimp were tasty--I was not expecting the caliber of fried shrimp you'd find at a nice regional sit-down fish house, but I had no complaints with the quality, either. I would be surprised if other fast food restaurants could compete in the realm of shrimp, though I understand Culver's is known for their burgers and their shrimp and fried fish are kind of second-line additions to the menu. That menu, by the way, is impressive in its depth and scope for a fast food restaurant. For my two sides with the dinner I selected mashed taters with gravy and cole slaw. French fries are the standard side but can be replaced with other options. The mashed taters were very good and I'd highly recommend them. The cole slaw was as good as most BBQ places like Sonny's. The only thing about the meal I found substandard was the dinner roll which while not stale-tasting seemed a bit hard and bland. The frozen custard--which along with the butter burgers is their hallmark apparently--was fine, it was a bit overly sweet in contrast to the ice cream I normally get at Sweet Dreams or Karma Cream, but fine. The unsweet iced tea tasted a bit . . . plastic, or something, but aside from that and the roll I was impressed at the level of quality and kind service for the price.
