The best burger place in Gainesville, angus beef, respectable size, great burger flavor from the angus. No gimmiks. Wish they didn't use seed oils, but that is the only issue. Overall an awesome burger place. read more

Our first trip to Gainesville we walked around town and decided to stop in to relish. It's a cute little place that gets really busy at lunch. We decided on a double burger combo, a chicken sandwich with lettuce, wrap, onion rings, and sweet tea. The place was friendly. The music was great and we really enjoyed our meal. I would recommend it to somebody stopping into town for a quick bite to eat. read more

**Despite what Yelp says, this location is OPEN** There are a couple Relish locations across Gainesville but I gave the one downtown a try on a Saturday afternoon. At Relish you build-your-own-burger after choosing how many patties and if you want to pay for extras like bacon, cheese, fried egg, avocado, etc. Then you get to add whatever toppings you want for free: tomatoes, pickles, mushrooms, red onions, pineapple, jalapeños, black olives, all kinds of seasonings, plus so many more. I added fries and a fountain drink to my single patty without extras and it totaled $12.70. Not a horrible price. The burger was juicy and the fries were perfectly crispy. A pretty solid burger overall. read more

Single tasty with cheese is my go-to order. Always amazing. The fries can sometimes be a little bit too salty but otherwise, this is always an excellent meal. read more

They had a deal for a free burger. I asked them to replace the beef patty with a veggie patty because I'm vegetarian. They refused, and on top of that were very rude to me for asking for a substitution. Not vegetarian friendly at all and honestly just kind of rude. read more

Really really good fast food it's a must have for me whenever I'm in the swamp. The burger is really good, the only critique is that the bun is a cheaper quality one. Fries are ok, milkshake is fire read more

Visiting from out of town, I decided to try Relish after reading reviews calling it the best burger in town. The staff was kind and hardworking, but the food didn't live up to the hype. I got a single burger, CBR fries, and a Reese's shake. The burger was just okay, and I found it ridiculous that cheese cost an extra $1. The fries were soggy and overly salty, but the shake was the saving grace--really good, though a bit runny. For $22, I expected much more. The meal was filling, but not worth the premium price. I'd rather have gone to Harry's for a burger, fries, and a beer at the same cost. read more

Excellent food and service. Friendly vibes. I had a crispy chicken sandwich, CBR fries, and a hand spin cookies and cream milk shake. You can choose the toppings on your burger. Everything came out fresh! The milk shake is probably the best in the city. read more

great food and workers. Great veggie burger. Cute store. Jadon made our trip. thanks guys!

Looking for a great burger? Look no further! No extra frills or anything over the top, just some great grilled fresh burgers! Tuesday is my favorite days to go because there is a $6.95 Burger, Fries and Drink deal I love that most of the toppings are free and you get to choose all you want! The assembly line burger process helps keep service fast and I've never had an issue getting an amazing burger going with the awesome team behind the grill. While your burger is freshly prepped, you get your choice of sauces and fresh veggie toppings. I'm prone to adding Bacon and Egg to my burger and it's only about $2 to add both! Pair your burger with their crispy fries and an ice-cold Soda or Beer, and you've got a great meal!!! read more

First time here - Excellent food and excellent service. Reasonable prices. Highly recommend for a great burger!

Food is pretty good, but the hours seem to be up to the discretion of the staff. Hours posted online are different from the hours shown on the door which are different from the actual hours. The hours on the door at the downtown location are apparently actually for the midtown location and are not accurate. One time I tried to go in at 11:45 pm on a Saturday and they told us they were only open until 11 on non game days and 1 am on game days (the door says they are open until 2:30 am every Saturday). But I know that I have been in there later than 11 on other non game days. So you may or may not be able to get food depending on if they feel like staying open that night. read more

WARNING!!! DO NOT order this place on UBER EATS! If there was a ZERO star rating, it would be far too generous... Craving a burger while in Gainesville and came across this place, so decided to give it a try. Greeted quickly by friendly staff ~ he helped us navigate the menu options. Food made to order - came out fast and hot! We really enjoyed it - great place! read more

Very rude service and they choose to insult me on the way out because i had to lock and unlock my bike before i could leave due to the city removing the bike racks. I guess everyone who rides a bike there needs to know they are to blame for getting in their ways. Won't ever be going back to this trashy run place. read more

Great service, very nice people. Even to out of towners! Appreciate you guys. Food looked great, tasted better.

Out of the three(?) Relishes in Gainesville this location is my favorite. Unlike the other Relish locations, the one here seems very peaceful and provided a very pleasant lunch. I'm not sure if this is because I came here around lunchtime rather than dinnertime but I appreciated not having loud music blasting away and not having to scream at my friends when trying to talk to them. The service here was also better than the other two locations. If this is your first Relish experience, this is basically the "subway of burgers" where nobody will judge you for getting as weird as you want with your order. Trust me, I get garlic mayo, peanut butter, pickles, and crunchy onions and the people working behind the counter never even bat an eye. If you're tired of regular fries you can get poutine fries (even on Tuesday burger specials!). They simply charge you for the regular order and then add extra for the curds/gravy topping. I personally really like the poutine fries since they're the best poutine fries I have found so far in Florida. They might be a bit too salty and the cheese could be more melted but they're a great option for customers looking to change up their fry game. read more

The food is great. Definitely the best burger in Gainsville. The service is even better, people are super friendly and helpful. Ambience is immaculate, always clean, always good people around, and always good music. Is a vibe. read more

I expected a big juicy burger. Instead I got a anorexic beef patty lost in big ol bun. So disappointed. It wasn't bad, but it was far from the best burger I've had. The poutine was ok. The gravy was quite salty and not hot enough to melt the cheese curds (which is what's supposed to happen with a good poutine.) My best friend said the turkey burger was delicious. It was definitely bigger than my scrawny burger patty. Maybe I should have ordered that. read more

Relish - Poutine with cold, salty gravy. Disappointing. - Burgers Near Me - Gainesville, Florida

I ordered fries and a shake for pick up. The shake was sold out. I understand that these things happen. I was told that I would receive a refund for the missing shake but I still have not received the refund (purchase was made the 27th of January.) I've had to file a chargeback with my credit card. The fries were burnt and not worth the price but I wouldn't publicly complain if they had just given me back the money that I spent on an item that they didn't give me. read more

I don't usually come to this location, as it's the furthest away from my home. But it was the closest one to my job on Tuesday. I wanted to take advantage of the $6.95 combo that comes with a single burger, fries and a drink. On any other day, that would usually cost about $12 altogether, so this was a great deal! I always get a single with, bacon, swiss cheese, a runny egg, lettuce, tomato and crispy onion bits. One of the best burgers I've had. I like how you can watch them make your burger and go down the line as you add on the toppings you want, similar to subway. The employees are nice and have welcoming attitudes once you walk in. The place is clean and the bathrooms are too! They have seating inside and out and you can enjoy the wonders of downtown Gainesville while eating your delicious burger. read more

I have now ate at every Relish in Gainesville and again just like I have said at each of the other locations, this truly is the best burger in Gainesville and the same great taste stays consistent no matter which location you go to! Relish does a great job at grilling the burgers to perfection. I asked this time if they could take the patties off the grill just a little early this time to make it more pink inside and they did. The burger was cooked perfectly. I love all the toppings and love being able to create the perfect burger! I also love relish fries and if you go on Tuesday they have a special where it is a single burger, fries and a drink for $6.95. This is a great deal. If you want to make it a double you can for just a $1 more. I will say it once and say it again. This is the best burger in Gainesville hands down! You do not need to go to a super fancy place to find good food. All you got to do is head down the street to a local Relish and bam, you got great tasting food for a reasonable price! I for sure recommend! read more

Relish may not be fanciest place in town but this joint never fails to deliver simply delicious, mouth-watering burgers. If I am in the mood for a fast, tasty, affordable burger, no question - this is where I'm headed! Although the menu is pretty much limited to just burgers and fries, there are lots of customizable options that should keep everyone fed and happy. Trying to eat less carbs? Try the lettuce bun! Vegetarian? Guess what? They've got a veggie burger! Not in the mood for red meat? No prob! They've got a delicious turkey burger and a salmon burger as well! All of the ingredients are locally sourced and for the price, it's hard to beat the quality of food here. The food is always cooked right in front of you and then you get to "build your own" burger from the variety of toppings. I've found that it doesn't matter too much what you put on top because the burger patties are so good that it's really hard to go wrong. **Insider Tip** Ask them to hook it up with some grilled onions and mushrooms. It's not technically on the menu but they'll do it if you ask when you order. It's one of my favorite things! read more

I love relish, especially the downtown one now that it has opened back up. BEST BURGER IN GAINESVILLE. Joe was amazing!!!

5 stars for fresh, quality burgers served fast and cheap. I ended up coming here several times with some friends of mine who live nearby. I got the turkey burger the first time because I wanted to be "healthy." However, I got it the second time because it was freaking delicious. Seriously, the turkey burger is phenomenal. I even got it in a lettuce bun and it was still delicious. That's impressive. They also have a veggie burger that's supposed to be great, and my friends both love their salmon burger. Frankly, I feel like more places should have this kind of selection. I also love how easily you get to customize. It's kind of like a sub shop setup when it comes to toppings, and they have avocado, bacon, cheeses, and all the expected veggies. Some of their sauces (especially the curry ketchup) are really creative. The prices are also reasonable and they serve beer! Overall, this is a great spot with delicious food served quickly. You should definitely stop by. read more

Great spot for people watching. It was even a better spot to unwind and enjoy a good burger while the people in down town of Gainesville walk around and enjoy the night life. The toppings are endless and the bacon was fresh. Yes I said bacon. I had the double burger with everything add bacon. I also had a good conversation with Shawn Pugh which I can see managing the place in no time. Thanks for welcoming me in my moving transition! This will be a spot I will recommend to my friends and followers for as long as people like Shawn are employed. Good job Relish! read more

Probably my favorite place to eat in downtown Gainesville. It's like Subway for Freshly Grilled Burgers and Fries. I don't know why a national chain hasn't already thought of this. Food tastes amazing, and is reasonably priced. read more

The meat has no flavor. In fact, none of the toppings have any flavor. On the plus side, the fries are freshly made. The cooks are nice, mostly students. But the brawny bearded guy at the register is rude. He seems too busy to bother with your order. And if your order is wrong when you pick it up, he will argue with the customer that that's what was ordered. No apology for the customer's inconvenience of having to wait for the redo, even as a courtesy. So much for customer service. For the money, my next burger will be at Mojo's, which works harder at quality food than does Relish. And their service people are courteous. Save your money and the unpleasantness of dealing with a boor. Eat anywhere else. read more

This is my very first experience at Relish, and I'm happy to say that it was a delicious one! I arrived in the in twilight hours between lunch and dinner (which I seem to do quite often), and the staff was generous with their time and opinions! I always like to know what the staff thinks is best went going to a new place... Even if I don't take their advice, it often leads me down a culinary path I might not have traveled. Even with all of the fancy burger options, I went with the ol' reliable bacon cheeseburger, in order to adequately compare and contrast to other burgers. It. Was. So. Yummy. I also got french fries, which were terrific! Side note: Thank you so much for having Minute Maid Light Lemonade in your soda fountain! It is often quite difficult to find diet AND caffeine-free beverage when eating out. If you're near a Relish, do try it out! Your tastebuds won't be mad. read more

Build your own unique burger, chicken sandwich or veggie burger with their awesome selection of sauces and toppings. I haven't tried it but people rave about the fried egg addition on the sandwich/burger. Fries are mediocre - fresh, but minimal in size and seasoning. Try the garlic parm seasoning on your fries though, add some yummy flavor. Staff at downtown location is exceptionally nice and friendly. They have beers on tap which makes for great burger and beer combo. Nice clean facility. Worth toughing the downtown parking situation. Far less crowded than mid-town location. read more

This was my first time at the down town location and I must say it's a great spot. I have been to the other location multiple times and really like the downtown one a lot better. It's more spacious and welcoming. For this trip we got the chicken sandwich, which I highly recommend if you haven't had it before and aren't feeling the heavy juicy burger. We ordered to go and walked it over to House of Beer which was a great idea and made for a good lunch. You obviously have to get one of the relishes, I like the tangy relish and usually find another sauce to turn up the heat a little bit. Try egg on your burger or sandwich it really adds to the experience. The fries are great but if you ordered a double you won't need the fries. If you haven't been to this location make sure to stop by and take in downtown Gainesville. read more
