fried chicken wings and french fries
    Erich C.

This is a very good food truck! I came up to the window on my bike and a lady greeted me. I asked for maple mustard wings, but they had sold out of it. Looking quickly, I decided on the honey sriracha with fries. I leaned my bike against one of the two big tables in front of the window, and the lady called a man up to the window who was waiting in his car. I was happily surprised, when my wings came out faster than I thought they would. I needed a good meal before I headed to work. I found a shady spot and opened up my dinner. The wings were flavorful (not too hot) and had a unique taste to them, not just the same generic flavors you get at any generic wing spot! They wings seemed a bit small, at first, but when I bit down on the hot, spicy, sweet chicken, I could see that they were very meaty! The fries were amazing! Crispy on the outside and the flavor was amazing! It's worth going here just to get some fries!! Dipoing both wings and fries in the ranch dressing is recommended! They have more food than just wings, and I will definitely be back!

I got to try this place because of the Yelp event and I regret not coming here before! The shrimp tacos were hands down the best Shrimp tacos I've had. So flavorful, crunchy and the sauce was just amazing. I also tried the birria tacos and they were just so meaty and juicy. This place was for sure one to remember and visit again. Can't wait to go back for the wings which I've heard are great and their amazing cajun burger which judging by the pictures, will be my new favorite!

Was definitely worth the wait. My sister suggested I try it and uhhhhhhhh yesssssssssssssssss. The shrimp tacos and fries was amazing! I love when fries have a extra crunch when you chew and they do. SWQCHOP CHOP. WEEEW chile I ate both tacos before I got home. Yep, drove and ate. I'll definitely try some other items when there isn't a wait and raining.

Wow, quite possibly one of the worst interactions I've had with a restaurant/food truck. Ordered shrimp tacos and chicken tenders while this food truck was at SwampHead brewery. Waited about 30 minutes, our friends received their identical order but we did not. Went to check on our order - they had lost our order receipt and said they'd make us our order. 15 minutes later, received chicken tenders. Asked about shrimp tacos, were told they were being made. 10 minutes later, asked about shrimp tacos and was told they were unsure if they were being made and that she didn't know about the status. I then informed the cashier that we have been waiting for said food for quite some time, and have not received any word about our food. At this point, I asked for a refund of my food. No indication was made that they would offer me any sort of compensation for me waiting almost 1 hour to receive an order of shrimp tacos, especially when the mistake was made and acknowledged at 30 minutes. This is simply not how a business should be run, and I hope that this food truck company realizes that and improves their customer service to others in the future. When I calmly explained this to them in person, I was told that if I wanted an order of shrimp tacos, I could place another order with the cashier. Clearly, the sheer rudeness of their staff will prevent me from coming back in the future. The only positive I can say is that the chicken tenders were pretty solid - got about 6-7 tenders with only 1 tender being grossly undercooked. Fries were seasoned very well.

First experience with Swamp Religion was at a Yelp event. There was a lot of good food. I enjoyed the shrimps and grits. 2nd experience with SR was at their food truck on University Avenue. It's parked pretty far off of the road on a mainly unpaved lot so at times it can look not open at all. It would be great if they did something that signifies "we are open right now" and not just parked in the lot overnight. During my second experience w/ Swamp Religion I had the shrimp tacos. They were delicious; but I feel like things could be elevated a bit more even. I also got a lemonade that was extremely sweet.

I enjoyed being able to try out their shrimp tacos. I loved how the shrimps were crunchy and fresh. The sauce on top was great and had a kick to it.

Mannnnn let me tell you. I just moved into town & a friend from back home saw this place on Facebook. I went on behalf of my friend just to see if the hype was real. That damn Cajun burger was good as hell. The fries didn't look like they would be good but they were good too. To top it off I got a lemonade with it & they must got somebody grandma back there making lemonade because it was good too. I can't wait to try the rest of the menu.

Apple Maps struggled to provided proper directions to parking and it might be because the area is under construction so just give yourself time to find Loosey's especially if going for dinner. It sure is worth the effort though, especially if you get Matthew as your server. He is full of wit and great local knowledge. He charmed our table from our first encounter. Loosey's has to be a local favorite because the quality and freshness of the food is outstanding. Matthew is a local treasure and made our experience there so memorable and fun. We all remarked that it must be so electric there when live music is on stage or it's a Gator game day. We started with the loaded potato skins. There were 5 large pieces that were covered with toppings and delivered pipping hot. I could easily order that as a meal next time I'm in town. Their house ranch dipping sauce that is drizzled on top was delicious. Several in our group ordered the Chic-fil Loosey's, which is a buttermilk fried chicken sandwich, but I wasn't able to grab a photo as they were so eager to get started eating it. The portion of chicken breast was extremely large and the batter was perfectly crispy. Both diners exclaimed it was one of their all- time favorite chicken sandwiches they had ever eaten. Another diner took advantage of their wing special and exclaimed the Buffalo Garlic sauce was fantastic and she paired them with their ranch as well. She loved their added touch of the small paper basket topping the plate of wings for the bones. I had the Classic Beef Burger and it was cooked perfectly. There was a nice peppery flavor to the grill of the burger and the patty size was more than I expected. Especially for the price. I was so happy we found Loosey's. It was really good food. I encourage you to look past the construction mess and the "old wooden bar" stereotypes and trust me when o say, they take great pride on preparing high quality food.

Beautiful day so we sat outside in a lovely patio area. Great beer menu with draughts imported or domestic as well as a full bar. The menu was pretty much standard bar fare I had fish and chips and my wife had Mac and cheese. The fries on my plate were covered in salt. I tried to shake it off and wound up with a layer of salt on my plate. Most restaurant food is too salty for me as I cook at home low salt but this was crazy. I decided to try the Mac and cheese. It also had a cap of salt on it. I tried to dig to the bottom of the crock thinking that wouldn't be salty but I was wrong. The dish was prepared with salt throughout. Time to go and I did complain. The waitress said she hears that a lot and she offered to replace our meal to go but we didn't take her up on that offer. The fish was great! And we loved the vibe of the restaurant inside and out. I would go back again but knowing that I would order SALT FREE !!

Located in midtown, this appears to a fast casual place that caters towards college students. They serve "Greek" street food, salads, quesadillas, burgers, and more. The food is relatively inexpensive. Service is fine, actually the people working there are friendly. Food is made to order and comes out quickly. There is some seating available inside (it's limited) but there are plenty of tables in the hall. I ordered the Street Chicken Souvlaki which included grilled chicken with tomato, onion, fries inside a pita, topped with ketchup and mustard. This was a very large portion. The pita was good, but pretty much fell apart the second I picked it up. While I liked the chicken, it was over seasoned and I didn't care for the "sauced" quality of it. I'm not sure if they marinated it or tossed it in some sauce, but it was too much. The fries were decent, but not super crispy. I felt that they were not necessarily and a little over-the-top. The tomato was fresh and but the red onion slices were very thick. The mustard and ketchup didn't work with the seasonings on the chicken. The dish was just all over the place and I couldn't even finish half of it before I started feeling sick. I ordered a side of onion rings as well. This was a large order and the size was great. But these onion rings were over-battered and were fresh, but not crispy at all. I bit into one and ended up pulling out the whole onion rings. Not good. Overall, I was very disappointed with my experience. The food was so heavy and overly salted I couldn't even eat half of it. I ended up giving it to a homeless person on the way out. The food left my stomach in shambles the rest of the day. Service is fine. But the food is not desirable. It is safe to say I will not be returning, which is unfortunate.

For me to leave a review this negative, the service truly had to be poor. Last night, we chose this place to celebrate my Irish heritage with a green beer and some light food. There is plenty of parking and outdoor seating, which is a plus. However, when we arrived, there was a line of people waiting for a table, and it quickly turned chaotic. One woman tried to cut the line, and another wanted to argue over a small booth that her family wouldn't have even fit in. Eventually, we were seated. I understand that holidays can be busy, so we were trying to be patient. Our waiter came over, dropped off menus, said "I'll be right back," and disappeared. After 25 minutes of waiting at the table, I had to flag down another waitress. Meanwhile, at least three tables that were seated after us already had drinks and had placed their food orders. I understand being busy, but at the very least, we should have been greeted or offered drinks. The waitress we flagged down said she would help us, which seemed promising at first, but then we waited another 20 minutes just for drinks. I'm not sure if it was an understaffing issue or something else, but the service was extremely poor. We considered leaving a one-star review, but the waitress did seem like she was trying. The food was okay, we ordered light items, and it still took quite a while to arrive. Overall, we would recommend skipping this place. There are plenty of other options in town that will treat you better. We work hard, and when we go out, we expect at least standard service.
