Hair in fusilli dish - pulled from my mouth

I'll start that this was a GrubHub delivery. So it passed through alternate hands to get to me. BUT the plastic container was sealed tightly when I opened it. Two stars because the flavor was actually delicious ... but 3/4 of the way into the fusilli dish, I felt a hair in my mouth. I was surprised actually thinking it couldn't be. It was. I pulled a black hair out of my mouth. Mine is red. I know stuff can happen, but ew.

I had the Pappardelle alla Bolognese (bottom dish) and it was delicious

My friends and I came here on a Thursday evening and enjoyed our meals. I had the Pappardelle alla Bolognese and thought it was really tasty. The texture of the pasta was excellent and the sauce had a lot of flavor. Service was attentive but they definitely enforce a bit of a time limit. They had another reservation after us they had to get ready for which is totally fine and fair, but the hostess or manager was giving a little attitude about it which was off-putting. Nevertheless, overall we had a good time and our waiter was very friendly. I also liked the aesthetic of the interior especially with the brick wall. It's an intimate restaurant and I would come back again for a date night for sure.

A small group of friends and I tried Forcella for Dine Out 2025 on a weeknight and had a great time. The space is like any in the North End, smallish but well packed with a number of tables. I will say this place feels a little quieter and more intimate that other spots in the North End, which I appreciated. For apps, most opted for the burrata and I opted for the meatballs and shared. Loved the tomato jam on the meatballs, and needed the extra table bread to finish the sauce on both. For the next course, we all did it differently, trying the cacio e pepe, carbonara, and pesto risotto. All were classic but I think the cacio e pepe was perfect and the carbonara was stunning but I wish I could have added a little parm. Finally for the third course, two got the chicken parmigiana and two the salmon. The salmon was perfectly seasoned and cooked. One friend liked her chicken while the other found the chicken too thin and tough. She said she wouldn't order it again. Our server Taylor also very kindly got a drink with a candle in it to celebrate the birthday of one of our friends. Thank you Taylor! It was a great meal and we're glad we explored it for Dine Out. We'll definitely be back!

This is very very fried chicken Parm. It was like dried fish with canned tomato sauce.

Michelin Meh: A Tragicomedy in Three Courses Act I: The Waiting Game We arrived at 8:15 PM, bright-eyed, hungry, and full of hope. Little did we know we were about to be cast in the restaurant's longest-running production: "Table for Never." We placed our order at 8:52 PM--after a performance of hide-and-seek with the server--and were finally served at 9:47 PM, at which point our appetites had been slow-roasted beyond recognition. Act II: Chef's Mood Ring We asked if we could tweak the dish ever so slightly--nothing wild, just a swap or two--but were met with: "That would make the chef grumpy." Grumpy? Are we feeding him after midnight? Is this a restaurant or a live-in diva spa for emotionally fragile wizards? Act III: A Taste of Regret The food arrived lukewarm and underwhelming, much like a text from your ex. The flavors were missing in a blandemic, and the price tag belonged in a fine dining heist movie. This wasn't a meal--it was a culinary hostage situation. Curtain Call: Slow Service, Slower Escape By the time we left, I had aged spiritually, emotionally, and possibly legally. The only thing they served hot was the disappointment, and even that came with a 90-minute delay. --- Would I return? Only if I'm reincarnated as a glacier with no dinner plans.

    Smoked salmon pasta

Ordered the smoked salmon pasta, bolognese, pan roasted salmon, burrata, and the arugula salad. The burrata was amazing--fresh, juicy tomatoes and a light, creamy burrata served with pesto. The arugula salad was simple, recommend if you want a light green before your entree. My pan roasted salmon was served with crispy skin atop roasted vegetables--highly recommend for a lighter appetite. The pastas were not overwhelmingly large portions and were super flavorful. Sangria was also delicious. No dessert menu but we went around the corner for cannoli at Modern Bakery. Service was attentive and not rushing us at all. The space was a bit cramped and dim lit, so definitely good for a more intimate dinner. I recommend for simple, straightforward, delicious Italian dishes!

We sat outside on the patio and it was very quaint. There was a man playing the accordion for ambiance and that was nice touch. The food and drinks were all good. Very traditional North End food. Only downside is that they don't have dessert.

I was very excited to have an authentic Italian pasta dinner in the North End and made a reservation at Forcella - which turned out to be one of the best meals I've had in months! The ambience is very cozy, elegant, and romantic. I got the Cacio e Pepe pasta (fettuccini with pepper, $21), which was so filling and delicious. The texture of the pasta was perfect. My friend got the eggplant rigatoni which was also amazing. We also tried the meatballs as an appetizer (beef and veal) which were very tender and came with a yummy tomato sauce. One of the highlights of the meal was the quality of the service - our server did a top-notch job, always refilling the water, frequently checking to see if we needed anything, and just overall being extremely hospitable and attentive. I would definitely come here again for a nice dinner with family and friends.

Just went for drinks and sat at the bar. Nice little place to sit and grab apps/drinks. Mostly a bar but there is a couch to sit- and not crazy busy so nice to be able to get a seat at a late hour. Enjoyed burrata and some April. Overall good

We were trying to find a place for an early dinner on Sunday and could not find seating in the most popular Italian restaurants in the North End but we found this place which was happy to seat us. The weekly street parade honoring the saint of the week stops right outside as you can see from the video we took. I don't ordinarily eat carbonara pasta but I had a good appetite this day and ate it all. This was our only meal in North End so we have no other comparison but based on my limited experience, I would try them again. There are very limited seafood menu options. Our server was kind and attentive and on this day that made all the difference.

Came with a friend for Dine Out Boston. Cozy and intimate. Food and service were excellent. Best meatballs I have ever had, cesar salad was delicious, and the Cacio & Pepe was off the chart. Got the chicken parm . It was good but not a fan of the smoked mozzarella. Would be better with regular mozzarella.

    Sautéed clams

I only stayed long enough for drinks and appetizers. The clams were so good! Wish I had more bread to dip the sauce in. Waiters were friendly and fast. Nice atmosphere. Small and cozy. Would definitely come again!

The bread had large air pockets, visibly soft, with a rich aroma of salt and milk; the olive oil was smooth and mellow, with a full-bodied fragrance, and the aftertaste even included a subtle, restrained hint of tea. Even knowing it's a calorie bomb, I couldn't resist dipping it in more. Baccala Mantecato: Classic Venetian flavor. The salted cod was tender and delicate, almost like a light foam, somewhere between raw silk and mousse; the dark bread was simple yet not coarse, perfectly balancing the saltiness of the cod. The most surprising thing was the refreshing aroma of celery leaves that emerged in the aftertaste, lingering and persistent. Lumache: When looking at the menu, seeing "chili butter, Jonah crab, breadcrumb," I never expected such a distinct citric acidity. The subtle acidity was gently enveloped in the fatty aroma of chili butter, perfectly complementing the umami and sweetness of the crab meat with just the right amount of spiciness. The lumache were firm and chewy, the sauce rich and smooth, and the breadcrumbs light and crisp, creating a rich and distinct texture. The portion was generous; even after microwaved the next day, the sauce had naturally broken down and the lemon's tartness had dissipated, but the noodles mixed with chili oil still had a unique flavor. Tiramisu: Highly renowned, and the staff were quite confident. The surface was covered with a thick layer of crispy cocoa nibs, the cake itself is incredibly soft and moist, and digging inside reveals an "underground river" of coffee liquid, while its bitterness was perfectly balanced by the sweet Marsala. The overall flavor was sweet and mellow, less bitter than typical tiramisu, with more layers of complexity. Actually, I was hoping for a slightly bitter version. Even on a weekday, it was packed with customers; by 5:10 PM, only one bar seat was left. Reservations are highly recommended. However, the bar was in a good location, with the bartenders being the easiest servers to find. It was a pleasant conversation with them.

The service is so friendly and seamless which in itself makes for a lovely evening. Highlights were the mussels, which were very fresh and delicious. The service here was attentive with the waiters offering more bread for the mussels. Most dishes are a little spicy, so if you don't like spice, make sure to note that with the waiter. The miso gelato is one of the most delicious savory/sweet desserts, and has lots of nice crunchy accents of the sesame crumble. Cocktails are fabulous, very smooth, as well as the mocktails. Cons: The crostini was nothing really special, and one of them came without the oyster butter. The meatballs, which were tasty but had a slightly hard texture on the outside. The prawn risotto was pretty one-note in flavor, and the prawn heads tasted overcooked and slightly off. The radiatore was spicy and nicely plated. The Cremoso al Cioccolato had a strange flavor profile that didn't quite fit, and had such a large salted chocolate-truffle section that we did not finish it (which is saying something)! Overall, if you are looking for a solid dinner in Boston that will guarantee be a nice experience because of the atmosphere, this is a good place.

Salty Pig Pizza: A pizza with the same name as the restaurant! Who was the genius who came up with the idea of salted pig and beer caramel? It's brilliant! The salted pork appears to include Prosciutto di Parma from Langirano, Prosciutto Cotto, and Salcissia. Baking rendered the prosciutto's fat, which blends with the caramel to create a beautiful golden syrup that flows across the pizza's surface. The prosciutto was savory, oily, and tender; the minced salcissia retains its coarse texture and rich meaty aroma; the caramel was sweet and mellow with a honey-like sweetness, forming the top, middle, and base notes respectively. The arugula was slightly warmed, losing its astringent and raw taste while maintaining its crisp texture, helped to cut through the richness together with the Parmesan cheese powder. The crust was crispy, while the inside the dough was soft and chewy. The cooking time and seasoning were all just right, and the restaurant's proud wooden oven added a charming smoky flavor. Affogato: I had high expectations, but it was just okay. The espresso was too sour, and the vanilla ice cream couldn't balance it out. The almond biscuits had an overpowering almond flavor, and the flavor of plant-based protein was terrible! (Oh, this should have been a plus...)
