    Double Hamburger w/ Jalapeños
    Peter C.

Did not live up to the hype! My patties were not seasoned at all, which was likely just user error. Even if the patties were perfectly seasoned, it's just a mid burger that wasn't really smashed. I was expecting more crispy edges, and my wife and in laws burgers were the same. On the plus side, the regular and sweet potato fries were both good and had a good crunch.

For the win--literally! After a few hours of shopping, my daughter, granddaughter, and I decided to grab dinner at For the Win. We were all craving burgers, and nothing hits like a fresh smash burger. I ordered the double cheeseburger with bacon and all the toppings, plus a side of sweet potato fries and a cold brisk tea. Everything was delicious. The restaurant was super clean and had a festive vibe with Christmas music playing, which we loved. The staff were very welcoming, and the customer service was top-notch. We'll definitely be back to this location.

After hearing video after video of the best smash burger in LA- we finally tried this place! It's very small- kinda tucked into a small parking lot. The prices? HIGH. I'm talking $14 burger - no fries. $8.50 loaded fries. No soft drinks, only canned soda. Quite a hefty price for what it is. The burger was good- the special sauce has a little kick but nothing too much and I'm sensitive to spice. It just wasn't good ENOUGH to warrant this kind of price. Definitely think it's been overhyped. Service was good, the girl was nice. Resturant seemed clean. However- I find a better value at Chris n' Eddys I don't think I'll be back unfortunately

Craving for burger and want to try something else from my usual burger spot. I don't really like their shared parking lot. It's smaller than ordinary ones, it's made for compact cars. Friendly cashier explained and took my ordered. I got double cheeseburger and fries. It didn't make me full without any veggies. Also should have gotten triple patties but it was a bit pricey. Overall it was a good tasting burger.

It never fails when I go to LA. I have trouble finding a good place to eat. The place we were going to didn't work out, and we came across For the Win. It was just an average smash burger with delicious sweet potato fries. Customer Service was great. Can't say I would return

Location is on the smaller side. But they make great use of it. Nice, clean and well maintained. My husband and I had cheeseburgers I had a side of loaded fries and my husband had the brussels sprouts. Cheeseburger was good, but going forward I would do the sauce on the side. It was just too much for me, but I would love to have it just to dip my cheeseburger as I wish. The load fries were yummy! The brussels sprouts were delicious! The staff was kind and very polite.

Food ordering is done completely on a tablet, easy to order or change language if needed. With clear pricing and modifications to your food. There is no meat wellness modification since it's a fast food smash burger style if that's your concern. Food for two - double cheese burger and order of sweet potato fries. DEFINITELY order an extra patty since they're extremely thin patties for smash burger standards. Food took 15 minutes to be ready. Only one party ordered before us but there were lots of to-go orders. Total came out to $34. Venue was nice with ample seating and one gender neutral bathroom. A quick eats joint but restaurant prices. Food was tasty but value wasn't there. It's incredibly expensive for how satisfying/filling the meal was. Unfortunately it didn't satisfy our burger craving and we will need to compensate with the "two palm trees burger place". If you're going to do a quick service style meal/dining experience the value needs to match. We can't be paying $34 and still both be hungry.

I ordered from here again because they are delicious here. This is the first place I tried a smash burger and I love the crisp they have to every bite. There usually is a line out the door because of the hype they have behind their burgers. They do handle the pack to their punch for their burgers. They are savorying and delectable in every bite. Love this place.

Our burgers! We all enjoyed our food and sweet potato fries, French fries and grilled brussels sprouts!

Delicious burgers and Brussel sprouts! We as a family love grilled brussels sprouts! My grandson is going back to college and wanted to eat here, I loved the burgers!

The Food- Smashburger with Fries- Very good and I would get both of them again. The only thing that kept me from getting to 5 stars was that I thought the price was a little of the high side considering that is more a a fast food type of setting. Parking- Shares a medium size lot with a few other businesses. I could see that parking could be challenging at busy times. Service- Friendly.

Was excited to give them a second chance! For the win!!! But was disappointed again! The brussels sprouts were burnt! Not able to eat them The staff were friendly - and the strawberry shake was good!

Double patty, added lettuce and tomato. Best cheeseburger in town.

The best cheeseburger I've had in Los Angeles so far. Still a few other places to try before I crown a winner, but For The Win makes an extremely delicious cheeseburger. I like to add lettuce and tomatoes, with a double patty.

What a smash! Great tasting burger with a lot of flavor, which is sometimes hard to find with a smash. The fries are excellent. Cozy spot to stop and have a great burger. The staff are super nice as well.

How does this compare to the habit double char burger?

I'm a professional food critic for numerous magazines and websites. I find that the absolute difference is the quality, value, size of their burger is a hands down winner. I would definitely recommend The Habit over the Win. The food is always fresh…

Well, Well, Well…read more... It appears that my 23&Me ancestry composition has been recently updated and as of today, you are now looking at a 7.1%, Pure, Italian Stallion. Yeah, I too always thought I looked like a young Joe Pesci... Ha! Hey, Fugheddaboudit!!!! Hey, hate me for my ways, but blood is blood and I'm going to run with this Italian thing for as long as I can. And just as my "old Italian Nonna" might have said, had I actually had one... "O mangi la minestra o salti la finestra" But being that I am less than 10% actual Italian blooded, and me not actually having a Nonna who would probably just yell crazy things at me in Italian, I'll just stick to the little Italian that I actually know..... The Food!!!! Yeah give me.... A little meatballs slathered in marinara covered in melted provolone... Or Some thinly sliced prosciutto, mortadella, capicola on some crusty Italian bread... Or even... A square of lasagna with Italian sausage, mozzarella, ricotta, Romano cheese served with a chilled San Pellegrino to wash it all down... And you'd be 100%, not 7.1% correct, that I would enthusiastically rep my Italian heritage and proudly wave the colors of my National flag... The Red, The White & The Bl.... Errr, I mean Green! ;) Yes, I can admittedly get behind Italian food any day of the week and I know my "Nonna" would be proud. Well thankfully, you don't have to go all the way back to the Motherland to visit your Nonna and experience the old world eats of a little place called Italia! Cause Cavaretta's Italian Deli has all your Deli needs and wants covered. Yep, a San Fernando Valley staple since 1959, this spot has been and continues to be the place to grab the Best Italian sandwich (according to the Daily News) this side of the Colosseum (according to me, Lance L.). But the cocoa powder on top of the Tiramisu (aka the cherry on top)... This deli has an Italian Grocery shop with everything you need to make your real or made up Nonna proud back in your kitchen. So, forget about waiting around for your 23&Me results to come back and just get your little pasticcino buns over to Cavaretta's and live like the Italiano's do! Ciao Bella!

I was intrigued when I saw a spot that I had never heard of with a good yelp rating, I had to check it out. After reading a few of the reviews, and looking at the photographs I was sold. The Antidote delivery was close by, but let me tell you I had difficulty finding it. I want to make sure that others are aware of the challenge because it is definitely worth it. The issue is the signage. I was confident when I walked in and told Arthur, the gentleman behind the counter, that there was no sign, indicating Antidote Delivery, he politely corrected me. It turns out that next to the "market" sign there is an exclamation mark Which shows antidote delivery. My eyes went right over it and I never saw it, as a result I found myself circling around, trying to find the correct location. Once you find it, you may be hesitant to enter thinking that this is just a liquor store. In fact, this market has been here for 25 years and they prepare a fresh submarine sandwich that is delicious. So here is what you need to know upfront, the ambience is not desirable, so plan on a takeout. But if you're looking for a local business with a fresh delicious submarine sandwich, I would give this a try. Arthur was very kind to explain that they do deliveries within 5 miles for $2.99. So if you live within 5 miles you can order your sandwich and have it delivered. It's convenient because it's also a liquor store. You can order anything else at the same time and have that included for that nominal fee. It's always nice to support local places, this feels like a family business but I didn't ask so I'm not sure. One thing I'm certain of, I will be returning.

It's a small Italian deli that hits the way you want it to. To the right as soon as you walk in, there's seats and a table where you can wait for your to go order or to eat there. The entire shop was clean, neat and orderly. It's sensory overload walking in. There's a lot going on. The menu is massive. I knew what I wanted after doing some homework before arriving so I was ready. The lady that took my order couldn't have been more of a pleasure to deal with. I placed my order, paid, tipped and sat down. A few minutes later, I had what is probably the best sandwich I've had this year. I should have sat in the parking lot and enjoyed it but I wanted the elbow room because I knew this was a monster. After I got home and unwrapped this behemoth, I instantly knew it was worth the drive. The Dillinger (which is what I ordered) has Pastrami, Meatballs, Italian Sausage, Pepperoni, Mozz Cheese, Garlic Butter and Marinara Sauce. If there's a better (big back) sandwich, I'll wait for your reply. This was soooooo gooood. In every bite you could taste each ingredient separately and it was an explosion of flavors. I ordered a small cup of their marinara sauce to dip/drizzle on each bite.....couldn't have been a better decision. Worth it. The 3 ladies that were working the front counter (around noon on 4/23) were the best. Just an all around great experience and fantastic food. I'll be back soon FOR SURE!!!!

One of the seasonal specials is the Martha which is an upgraded version of chicken salad (Tarragon chicken salad, apples, shaved fennel, arugula, basil, lemon, garlic aioli on grilled Ciabatta, $16) which sounded pretty good. I placed the order online and headed over to this busy section of Studio City. Street parking can be tricky especially in the afternoon, and there are 'parking ticketers' out in force. This was my first time here at this location, but they had a handy takeout window at the one end, and a friendly guy handed me the bag. As for the food, I could only eat half of the sandwich; one reason is because it was a Lot of sandwich and second, I didn't really enjoy this for the most part (I did give the other half to a hungry co-worker who did like it). Then my favorite part, the cookies. I ordered two orders (two come in an order) so I had four to enjoy. The first bag was a decent sized pair of cookies, but they shafted me on the second order. This was basically one cookie cut to make two which was clearly noticeable compared to the other order. I was too far to return these but next time, it's something I will check on before leaving. I didn't have this problem the first time I came here (even though it was a different location) but as for anything, I recommend checking your order prior to leaving. To their credit, they do a good job of limiting the number of people inside at once, but I would recommend ordering to-go to avoid the tight squeeze. I tried their most popular items--the Italian and the Pastrami--and honestly, both were a bit underwhelming. I enjoyed the chopped onions, pickles, and tomatoes, which reminded me of the sandwich shops back home in Boston, but there are definitely better Pastrami and Italian-style sandwiches available in the greater LA area.
