Came here on a Friday around 8 pm. There were a few spots in the medium sized parking lot of the plaza. There were a good amount of people inside but most already eating. I've been wanting to try this place (the original location at least) for a while since it was voted best burger in LA! I decided to get the cheeseburger with lettuce and tomato and our group also got fries, sweet potato fries, and Brussels sprouts to share. The food was ready within 5 minutes or so. We took it home to eat and the fries were still crispy and delicious! It helps they serve it in an open container so the fries don't end up steaming themselves. There was also more fried than I was expecting. The Brussels sprouts were fine, I was a little disappointed. Not a lot going on and they were slightly overcooked. I just wanted a veggie option, probably wouldn't get it again. It was honestly a delicious burger. A bit on the pricier side and I wouldn't pay the extra money for the tomato and lettuce again. The best burger ever? Probably not, not mind blowing. But very hearty and not too filling if you get just 1 patty. Very good but pricy smash burger with some customization options but it needs a better bun. The fries are decent and I often have to decide between the regular and sweet potato. The service is friendly and the interior has limited seating as is typical of most smash burger spots I've been to. The parking is a shared plaza so it's decent enough. My two biggest gripes are the lack of fountain drinks and that it's SO HOT INSIDE. Just sitting there feels like 77 degrees and the employees have it way worse behind the counter... Why? When we received the burgers after a wait, I really could not tell the difference between the single patty and double patty burgers. While the burgers were delicious they were quite small! Came into this location when I did because I won a free cheeseburger yay!!!! They had a question on their IG stories and anyone who guessed correctly won a free cheeseburger. I tried this place for a Yelp elite experience. And it is definitely one of the best smash burgers I've ever had. Smashburger was very crispy. Pickles sauce. Cheese were great very nice soft bun as well. Fries were very good. They reminded me of old school McDonald's french fries the guy working at the front counter was very nice. This location is in a strip mall with other businesses and the parking can be hard to find but luckily I was able to find a spot right out front. Service was good and very quick. They should be embarrassed. Was looking forward to trying them. I received a patty that was a thin, less than 1/4 inch, of gristle that one scrapes from a grill. It was literally partially meat and some other substance that gets shiny and carmelized when melted. I was so shocked I just had to weigh it. It was 2.6 ounces! That's with cheese. That makes it a slider portion of beef and grease but smashed to be bigger than a bun. The "onion" was a teaspoon of onionish jam on the thing. Oh and it's a place that's asks if you want to tip after you placed your order yourself on a screen and someone calls out your name while putting your bag on a counter. Neighbors, please consider that around the corner on Sepulveda is the best burger in the Valley at a Mexican restaurant that cooks them quick and to go. (Foodies know that burgers in Mexican joints tend to be really good). Or just go one mile away to the "drive up oldies diner" for a HUGE delicious burger for half the price at a place famous across the valley for their shakes. The hype is real!!! I finally made my way to FTW after hearing nonstop how they're putting out the best smash burger in LA. Came in Friday around 2 and was able to walk right up and start ordering. To get started you order from a tablet and customize your meal as desired. I figured I'd go big so I went with a triple smash with coke and fries. I probably didn't need a triple because it was a lot of meat(no diddy) but it was a fantastic burger. All the ingredients tasted fresh and the burger was flavorful and had those crispy edges that I look for in a smash burger. The inside had a small dining area and it was pretty warm inside enough that I changed my order from dine in to carry out. Wanna smash is my go to for smash burgers in the area but FTW is definitely making a impression on men read more
