The place is very clean--staff is welcoming and perfect service.I was not happy that they downsized their salad selection in that it was my favorite. The meats and poultry were fine, it jsut occurs to me that no human being should or can eat enough meat to satisfy the costs here. Fine for celebrations now and then for the atmosphere but not a regular go toplace.

I thought service was great, food bar selections were just ok, churrasco was really great when made to our table but we didn't have many selections, we only had 4 items that were brought in. I never got to have Brazilian cheese bread as my party had (the other 3) and server forgot to bring refill. Excellent ambiance. Great dessert for a birthday! Price is high so my expectation was as well. I might try again. I love the one is Scottsdale!

I came here this past Saturday for an anniversary dinner with my husband. I've been struggling to write this review because of my experience. Understandably, this restaurant has only been open for 5 days at the time we dined. However, this is a chain restaurant, so expectations were a bit higher. This is my first time dining at a Fogo de Chao in general. After being seated, we were greeted by our secondary server who took our drink order and explained the concept, and let us know that our main server would be coming over shortly. We headed to the buffet to get our salad and other little bites and went back to our seats. Everyone gets a circle meat indicator. Green to say you're ready for meat and red for the opposite. The meat started arriving but our main server hadn't arrived and we didn't get extra plates for our meat. We ended up having to ask the guy doing the meat service. On top of that, every table is supposed to be offered chimichurri sauce along with fried plantains and Brazilian cheese bread but because our main server never came, we had to ask the various different guys doing the meat carving. We were seated in the very corner and felt like we were forgotten. Our water cups weren't refilled and every time we needed something, we had to ask. Our secondary server was finally made aware and told us our main server had gone home. It seems like there was some misstep and miscommunication. Also, not all of the items were brought over to our table. By the time the workers knew it was our anniversary, they started coming by but we were already full by then. At the end, all I wanted was to try the sausage. It took asking 4 different people and a long wait for it to finally arrive and sadly, it wasn't even good and worth the wait. Everyone was really friendly but the overall experience felt incomplete. I would have liked to enjoy my meat with the chimichurri sauce but by the time we got it, I was already full. I do appreciate the staff as they did feel horrible and they provided us with complimentary dessert to celebrate our anniversary, however, it still can't make up for the full experience. Perhaps I may try it again but the next time around, I will strongly request not to be seated in the far corner again.

Let me start with the great service and beautiful displays. Our family was immediately welcomed in and we were seated for our reservation. Every person working there was friendly and highly responsive and visible. We were introduced to the staff and received recommendations as we scanned the menu. We have been to another Fogo de Chao, so we didn't necessarily need help in this department, but appreciated that they always begin with introductions and recommendations. The market table was eye popping, but the flavor was somewhat lacking. The salads greens and prepared salads were done well. The fruit was pleasing to the palate and the eyes. The flavor was lacking in the Tabbouleh and the Beet Tartare. There were limited options compared to other locations based on this visit. I know they do have seasonal rotations, so that could be the case at this time. Okay now I will get to the meat rotations. We were there for 2 hours and they brought lamb, chicken, sausage, pork, and a limited selection of beef steak. This may be good for some, but I don't eat pork, I don't care for sausage, and the beef that was brought on several occasions was tough. The very best selections in my opinion was the tri tip and the roasted chicken leg. Now onto the desserts which were pretty on point, save the papaya cream which tasted quite like a room temperature papaya kefir if you are into that. The crème brûlée was to my daughter's liking, and the chocolate brigadeiro was rich, but not overly so. All around the service made it very enjoyable, but the flavor needs to be turned up a notch.

We came here to celebrate our 36th anniversary and we were thrilled with the quality of service and the exceptional food options. My wife ordered the salmon and I delighted in the branzino. The market table introduced us to Brazilian cuisine, and we loved the option to try all the different varieties of food ranging from dragon fruit to roasted pineapple with cinnamon. The service was exceptional and exactly what you would expect in a five-star restaurant. They work exceptionally well as a team, checking in continuously to make sure everything is well. Jordan was a terrific waiter! We were thrilled when they comped us two desserts in celebration of our anniversary! The ambience is festive, elegant, and modern. We are so grateful that our original reservation at a different restaurant fell through so that we could have this magnificent experience.

First time trying Fogo do Chão out now that they've opened one in Gilbert nearby my house. Upon walking in everyone greeted us. We felt so important. We had made reservations prior and so they walk us right in and seated us. We've never had experienced this sort of restaurant setting so a lot of information was definitely thrown at us. Which made my partner a bit overwhelmed, I knew what I wanted my partner just had some trouble. They're very busy which is not a shocker since they just opened and we came in on a weekend. The atmosphere was a little chaotic. It was sort of overwhelming just cause everyone was walking around a lot and hitting chairs and squeezing through but it looks nice and clean. We were definitely well taken care regardless of it all. My partner didnt have such a good day after work I know the managers have noticed things just wasn't going well for him but they had made our visit pleasant because they had tried everything to make things right for him to feel better. I appreciate u all! It shows how people truly care for their costumers and restaurant. Special thank you to Michelle and Victoria. For coming over and talking to us. Food for me it was delicious. Had my salmon cooked well done (special request) the gluten-free bread bites were so yummy I ate it all! The complementary dessert was so delicious. I think it's the cheesecake. All and all I will be return with my friends next time! THANK YOU FOGO DE CHAO & TEAM!

Thank you Lacie, Sunshine and Jaden for the best lunch/dinner we have had in a while for Date Day! Great Service, excellent food, extremely attentive and great advice about what desserts to choose! We even ordered one to go! The 3 of you made our first visit extremely special and already planned our return visit for Brunch next week!

Food : 1/5 Service : 2/5 Price :1/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Ive been to Fogo in Scottsdale and that was a great experience, however our experience at the Gilbert location was subpar. We did not get frequent meat, we had to wait long and we even had to complain that they havent been bringing meat. We paid 70/person we didnt even get prime rib, not chicken, we got sausage, lamb which wasnt good as all, tritip, 2 more beef . That was all. Their salad bar didnt deliver either. The only thing that went well on that visit was how apologetic our poor server was- it was the worst BIRTHDAY dinner celebration Ive had. For the price we paid?! we couldve gotten better food option at other restaurants. Definitely not worth $70 per person.

I really wanted to love the new Fogo de Chão in Gilbert, especially since it's the only Brazilian steakhouse we have on this side of town. They only opened 9 days ago, so I went in expecting there to still be some growing pains. Unfortunately, it was a little rougher than I expected. We went around 8:15 PM, which was getting closer to their 9:30 closing time, but I still expected the quality of the food to be good. The tri-tip was easily the highlight of all the meats we tried and was one of the few I went back for. Unfortunately, most of the other meats were overcooked and pretty dry. The frango chicken in particular was not very tender. The service also seemed a little disorganized, a few times the servers would bring meat to the table and say the wrong name, so we genuinely didn't know if we were getting pork or chicken. The grilled pineapple was another disappointment, by the time it made its way to us, most of the good caramelized pieces covered in brown sugar had already been cut off, so we were mostly left with the rind. At the end of dinner, our waiter told us dessert was included and asked if we wanted it to go. When we got the check, we found out only one of our dinners actually included dessert, so we were charged for the other one. Not a huge deal, but definitely confusing. On the bright side, the tres leches was really good and probably one of my favorite things we had. Overall, I'm giving them some grace since this is literally their second week open. There are definitely some things they need to figure out, especially with the consistency of the meats and service, but I'm still excited to finally have a Fogo de Chão in gilbert.

A Birthday Dinner Done Right at Origen in Gilbert!…read more I made reservations to celebrate my wife's birthday at Origen in Gilbert, and from the moment we walked through the door, it felt like we had picked the right place. First, the decor and atmosphere are absolutely beautiful. Origen has that perfect balance of upscale elegance and warmth. The wood, lighting, textures, and Mexican-inspired design create an atmosphere that feels sophisticated without feeling stuffy. There is clearly a lot of attention to detail throughout the restaurant, and it makes the entire experience feel special. Add in the live saxophone music and energy of the room, and it feels like you're going somewhere for an experience--not simply going out to eat. Then came the food. Origen does a fantastic job combining modern Mexican flavors with a steakhouse experience. The menu has plenty of choices, but everything feels intentional and elevated. The flavors were bold without being overwhelming, and the presentation made each course feel like part of the experience. From the appetizers to the entrees, we were impressed with the quality and attention to detail. And if you're a cocktail person, don't skip the cocktails. The drink menu is creative, and the cocktails aren't simply colorful drinks designed to look good--they actually have flavor and character. The mezcal-based options especially fit the restaurant's Mexican-inspired concept beautifully. It's the kind of cocktail program that makes you want to try something different instead of ordering your usual drink. But honestly, what made our night was the service. Our waitress, Ash, was phenomenal. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and--most importantly--knowledgeable about the menu. She didn't just read descriptions to us; she took the time to explain the dishes, answer our questions, and make recommendations based on what we were interested in trying. That made ordering much easier, especially with a menu that has so many interesting choices. But what really stood out was how much care Ash took to make sure my wife had a great birthday experience. She paid attention to the little things. She made my wife feel celebrated without making the evening feel forced or overdone. There was a genuine warmth to the way she interacted with us, and you could tell she understood that this wasn't just another dinner--it was an important occasion for us. That matters. Anyone can bring food to a table. Great hospitality is about making people feel seen, welcomed, and taken care of. Ash absolutely did that for us. My wife had a wonderful birthday, and as her husband, that's really what I wanted most from the evening. Origen gave us the beautiful setting, great food, creative cocktails, and atmosphere. Ash put the personal touch on the experience that made the night memorable. If you're looking for a place in Gilbert for a birthday, anniversary, date night, or just a night when you want to dress up and have a really good dinner, I'd definitely put Origen on the list. For months, this location has been on a radar based on seeing various Yelp friends post about this…read morelocation. I was intrigued for both their sushi selection and their cocktail menu. I figured a Sunday afternoon would be calm, so I decided to pop in for a solo lunch. What I Ordered: - Yuzu Mule: The drink was delicious and refreshing, so I ordered a second one. Definitely order if I return as well. - Hamachi Lime Roll: This roll had an odd texture to me, and ultimately, I grabbed the rest to go as it was a little off putting to me. The flavor was decent though I found myself wishing there was more crunch with tempura flakes or panko bread crumbs on top. - Crazy Roll: The winner between the two rolls in terms of flavor and preference. Though, I wish this roll had the spicy mayo the other one had. I'd definitely order again and ask for a side of spicy mayo that I could add to the roll. Love the soy paper option! As for ambiance? I thought country music was an incredibly odd choice for this establishment hence the 4 stars versus 5 star review. I'd prefer more traditional Japanese music, or heck, even some J-Rock over American country music. I'm guessing Sunday afternoon is a slower time, so it was employee choice. Overall, I'd visit again when in the area and recommend to friends/family.

I came in again and this is is during Arizona Chef's week 8/8/2026. It was $66 for 4 courses. You…read morecan choose 1-2 items per each course. Course 1: Hamachi Peach Crudo peach amazu / pickled daikon/ smoked tomato oil / red pepper. This dish was right in my alley! I love Hamachi, and peach! And this is my first time having this combo in a crudo. It was many flavors all combined in one dish. 10/10 . **Please add this dish to your permanent menu! Course 2: Spicy Scallop Futomaki/hokkaido scallop / benishoga / chili crisp/ takuan / wasabi mayo. This roll tastes great, scallop tastes fresh and I love the way it was seasoned. However the rice around it was too much that I couldn't taste the scallop fully. I wouldn't get this dish again because of the rice around it was too much. Course 3: Ocean Trout Mi-Cuit/ okinawa potato croquette / citrus cream/fried capers / crispy salmon skin. I love the cream and the capers in this dish. The fish is seared. Although not much flavor in the fish itself but because of the sauce, it complements the dish well. Course 4: Dessert - Yuzu Lychee Sorbet/vanilla whisky hojicha granita. Oh my gosh, this is my favorite dish! It was so good and refreshing! The yuzu sorbet was tart and creamy. And the hojicha ice underneath was delicious! I would come back to the restaurant just for this dish and the first dish!
