I walked in right on time. Filled out a short new patient form, handed it back within a few minutes I was called over for a quick check then the doctor took me right away. The doctor was nice and quick. I didn't feel rushed at all, I was in there maybe 15-20 minutes TOP! The price is amazing, plus you leave with a free pair of contacts if you get the glasses & contact special. I have definitely found my new eye doctor.

I filled out the online request for an appointment and didn't hear anything for two days. I finally called and after six or seven attempts (and one voicemail) got someone to answer the phone I typically go to Temple Vision source but they had no appointments available, so the appointment desk suggested that we look into the Belton office. They had an appointment available and so we scheduled it. We arrived about 10 minutes prior to her appointment so that my daughter could fill out her paperwork. As soon as we walked in the front desk clerk (Ashlyn?) Was very rude and snotty. Even the tone of her voice was hateful. She asked my daughter what kind of contacts she wore, and my daughter being put on the spot had a brain fart and said oh just regular contacts. She then got even more hateful and started throwing them around a whole bunch of terms that my daughter had no idea what she was talking about. I jumped in and started answering the questions for her because my 19yr old was confused. The way that she talked down to me was insulting. She then handed my daughter the new patient forms and my daughter glanced at me and asked if I wanted to help fill them out. The receptionist then said "she's an adult she can fill them out". My daughter is BARELY an adult and the receptionist has NO idea why my daughter needed help filling it out. She was extremely rude. So much so that I'll just stick with driving all the way to downtown Temple just to avoid dealing with her. (Even listening to her interact with people on the phone - she was just as hateful) Belton eye care center - your receptionist is the face of your business. And having her on staff isn't good for your face. Now - well I wasn't in with her during the actual exam, my daughter said that the doctor was very polite, nice, helpful, and explained everything to her in terms that she could understand. When it was time to discuss her prescription and ordering glasses - David was extremely helpful and Nice. A great person to work with. This review is three stars, and as someone else mentioned in earlier review.... yes the front desk attitude can cause my review to go from a five star to a three star. Ashlyn - I'm not sure why you aren't more customer service oriented or what happened to you this morning to make your day seem crappy and cause you to take it out on new customers. Every single time our daughter has either been seen there or refilled her contacts it has been an issue. They abide by the rules on some days and some days they do whatever they want. I have picked up a paper copy of my daughter's eye prescription; I personally did this. Now it is "oh that is not in line with HIPPA, so we only go by the rules when it is convenient for them. No appointments for 3 months. That is wild to me. Every time we need contacts they don't have them, they will order them. They take payment in advance because why not right, 3 weeks go by no call no contacts, I call and they say "oh sorry the girl never placed the order, so you took my money and did nothing and now it will be another 2-3 weeks. I continue to give them the benefit and again it is local to Belton. Not one time have we had a great experience. NOT ONE TIME. The taking my payment and not ordering them happened 2 different times. Each time the girl at the desk gets rude with me. They have a turnover rate like you have never seen. You will never go in and see the same person. Found them when we first moved to Salado in 2022 and are so happy with Dr. Rocha (currently on maternity leave) and Dr. McCown. She said the prescription that I turned in was correct on the glasses and that I probably needed a new prescription. She insisted that I was mistaken. The first pair of glasses that I have from the same prescription is fine but from another vision store. She told me that I need to move my head around until I found a spot that was clear for reading. I have been wearing glasses for over 30 years I have never had this problem and I know when there is something wrong. I am not a person to cause a scene so I left after trying to convince her that It was something wrong and she was determined that she was right. With insurance I paid about $300.00 for a pair glasses that I can wear only if I don't need to read anything. I will never shop at Visionworks again. She said I chose not to add the expanded bifocal at the bottom (which I did not even know was a choice because everything was in the prescription) and showed me a space the size of half the tip of my fingernail that I need to focus on for reading. I've never heard of that before. I am not satisfied and felt very humiliated with others standing around listening to the conversation. For me the rating is less that the lowest one available. It seems that it did not matter as long as she felt they had done their part and nothing else can be done.

When cleaning the lens, it actually popped out of the frame. Going downhill in all areas, including service, product selection, workmanship, wait times, and pricing.. If you value your time and money go somewhere else.
