I was examined for contacts and glasses. I gave the information to have my previous eye records transferred. They lost the information I gave them to have my records transferred. I offered to go get a copy and they refused it. Dr. Young examined me and failed to properly diagnose me. Dr. Young said my eyes were without astigmatism. I've had astigmatism my entire life. That doesn't go away. The brand of contacts that she prescribed was not my usual brand. She wrongly stated that the brand I used wasn't being made/sold anymore. I literally found the brand online still for sale. I tried the sample contacts and when I told them they made me feel dizzy they said give it a day. I was so sick after three days of giving it time, I rescheduled. The second exam didn't turn out any better. She had to ask her staff how to use the machines. She didn't get the prescription right again I found out. I realized it was still wrong when I couldn't see at all out of my left eye. My glasses were also wrong and had to be sent back. I got them back and the lenses fell out within days. I had her just renew my old prescription as I now had to save to go to a new eye doctor. I don't know if she's had a stroke, can't see well herself or is plain incompetent but her license should definitely be suspended until it can be determined why she couldn't use the machines or read the diagnosis on the eye machine or if she was simply acting out of malice. read more

I am new to Copperas and was searching for a new eye exam place. Struck gold on the first try. The staff at Cove Eyecare was welcoming and the visit was comfortable and professional. They have the newer equipment that makes the eye exam quick and efficient. Dr. Young is a gem. My visit was out of pocket so cost was a concern. Choosing my frames and lenses was easy and the costs involved were clear with no hidden charges. I even purchased a second pair. I highly recommend Cove Eyecare and will remain a client. read more

First off I was charged for a pair of trial gp lenses. I returned them because O could not get used to them. I was only refunded just over half the cost not just small restocking fee. Then tried soft toric lenses. The right eye was still blurry took them back for an adjustment . Note I'm basically a new lens wearer having trouble inserting them but just need practice. The optometrist said I can't wear them took my trial pair and case and all but threw a glasses prescription at me. Very unprofessional and very upsetting. I took my son here for his first eye checkup. The staff was friendly and the doctor made my son's first experience fantastic. I was prepared for tears and a hard time. But that is not what I got. I had nothing but smiles and giggles. And every question that he asked the doctor explained it to him where he could easily understand it. They will take children as young as 3 and a half. So when his sister is old enough I will be taking her here as well. They also are great for adults. The equipment they have is clean and current. The staff is great. The doctor answered every question I had. She wanted to see if I could use the monthly contacts rather than the contacts your throw away every 2 weeks. I was open to that so I tried it. It did not work out well. But the doctor was great and put me on the brand I had before. I have been happy with them since. I will be taking me and my family here from now on. read more

They will not honor their work!! I had a $500 pair of multi lenses glasses. The lens popped out. They used lock-tite on the screw that held the lense in. I was told it will never happen again. Within 2 weeks it came loose and it was lost. They will not replace the lens. It was their work that caused the lense to pop out and be lost. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! My glasses were ready the next day and they called me right away to let me know. Had a great selection of designer brands for me to choose from unlike some of the other places in Cove. I'm new to the area, so when I needed new contacts I asked neighbors who they used. They're retired and have lived here a long time. They recommended Dr. Young, said they'd never go elsewhere and Cove Eyecare (which I learned was recently renamed from Cove Optical) had the best reputation in the area. I guess my neighbor has some medical eye condition that Dr. Young diagnosed. Well, I'm glad I listened to them. I found Cove Eyecare to be a well run office with a very friendly and helpful staff. Dr. Young is very up-beat and conscientious. I have a tricky prescription and usually have problems getting a good fit, so I stayed with lenses I had worn for a long time. Dr. Young is very knowledgable and took the time to discuss the advantages of newer designs, and made me enthusiastic to try something new, saying we could always go back to what I had previously worn if I didn't prefer the new ones...so how could I lose? Well, again I'm glad I listened. I've never seen better or been able to wear my contacts so long with great comfort. My old contacts are history and I wound up finding a pair of D&G glasses that I couldn't live without - I actually LIKE wearing my glasses for first time. They have a really good selection of frames, latest designers and also more budget conscious choices as well. Overall I got great care, great products and had an excellent experience. read more

I went to Cove Eye Care Today to pick up my contacts and I asked Julie to adjusted my 2 pair of glasses as well. She came back and said one of them broke and to take it back to the place I bought it from because there policy states they are not responsible. I left and called Vision Works where I bought my glasses from and they were not under warranty but they opted to sill get me a discount and get the same frames and put my lenses in for about 50 dollars (30 dollars cheaper then regular price). I called Cove Eyecare and asked to speak to the manager who pretty much stated the same thing Julie did but also said "That's why we recommend our clients to get them adjusted where they bought them." Well no one told me this and no one told me there policy that I cant even find on there website that if they break your frames your out of luck. I got my exam done there, I refill my contacts there, hell I even got my lenses there and as their customer spending hundreds of dollars at their business you think they would care more about there clients. The manager stated she would talk to the doctor and see if they could give me a credit but I haven't heard anything back so I'm stating to think that they will just blow me off. As a manager myself I am hoping that they do what is right for their customers not just someone who walks in and ask to get there glasses adjusted for free but some who uses there business. So yesterday after I posted my message the manager Norma called me to say that she was thinking about how we could make this right for me and she said since I paid 10 dollars to use my own frames that she would take that off a pair of frames that I bought there and put the lenses in for free. So basically I am still paying out of pocket for a pair of frames that they broke weather I take my business back to them or go to vision works. I don't think $10 is a worthy discount on frames that original cost me $129.99 when I first bought them. Dr. young was great and helped me find a contact that worked for me but beware when you go here because they don't have there policies posted nor do they inform you of them before they break your property and tell you they are not responsible then decide to only give you a $10 discount. Thank you Dr.young for taking the time to call me and apologies for how your staff handled the situation. Norma ended up taking $40 dollars off the pair of frames of my choice to along with putting the lenses in for free with the return of my previous lenses. read more
