This is 40! I had to renew my license and barely passed! I had heard good things about Dr. Poole, word of mouth around town. I showed up a week too early for my appointment and they were able to get me in. Let me tell you I am so happy with my experience at Dr. Poole's office. The place is very appealing to the eye even though my vision is not as good as it used to be lol. Dr. Poole was so awesome. He explained the X-rays thoroughly and genuinely listened. So my Mom went here and loved it. When it was time for DH and I to get exams we went here also. They are great. You can get a picture of the interior of the eye without having the eye drops to dilate your pupils. This is very handy if you happen to be the driver that day. When you ask some optometrists for a written script with PD so you can get glasses online they get their nose out of joint about it. I told Dr. Poole I needed the written scripts so I could get my glasses online and it didn't change his demeanor at all. Still warm and professional. They get my loyalty for that. I went to Dr. Poole when I lived in Marble Falls. I moved in 2019 and have not found anyone that comes close to his care and standards. So I drive 2 hours to see him. Well worth the trip. Up to date equipment, great staff and Dr. Poole takes the time you need to ask questions and explain exam and tests to you and his recommendations. Let me start by saying I had my very first eye appointment at 20/20 Express. I was not very pleased with my overall experience. Older equipment. older techniques. Poor quality lenses. It was time to update my prescription so I decided to try Dr. Poole. I was absolutely blown away by the professionalism of him and his staff. Second to none. Such a cool guy. The girls in the front are so sweet and accommodating. All equipment is state of the art and I was evaluated extremely meticulously. These are my first progressive lenses so I wasn't totally comfortable yet. They brought me in for a second evaluation and readjusted my prescription at no cost. Dr. Poole spent another half hour really working with me to get it right. I was then told I could just keep both sets of lenses to compare which one I liked best. Just above and beyond. I can tell his staff loves him. Just a really good vibe in the office and you can tell they are there to make it the best experience. Believe the reviews. Don't go anywhere else. I lived in the DFW area until recently and went to a high end family owned practice there but I have to admit that this practice has them beat. I am Terminally ill, so I see several doctors. I can honestly say that Dr. Pool is by far the most compassionate and caring Doctor I have encountered in my whole life. Dr. Pool removed a piece of Metal from my Cornea, I was in excruciating pain, thanks to Obozo care I lost my health Insurance so I had to pay cash. Not only did he do the procedure for less than half of what his competitor charged, he knew my situation and asked me to come in the next day free of charge to make sure my eye was healing correctly. This guy actually cares about people. Like I said I am going to die soon and have seen almost a hundred Doctors in my life and an Optometrist ended up being the most ethical, who would have thought.
