We are new to the area, and my husband and I both went to 20/20 express this past year. Now we will not be back. Our daughter first went to Wal-Mart eye care that day because she felt like there was a scratch in her right eye. Wal-Mart said they could not see her because they no longer deal with scratches but told her to go to 20/20 express as well. My daughter went there because only because that was our eye doctor. Melissa the eye doctor was sitting up front when she came in and told her she felt like there was a scratch in her right eye. Dr leaned over and looked at her eye and said "I don't see anything". Dr then asked, where and my daughter pointed to where it hurt, and she said as she laughed, those are your blood vessels and she smirked and looked around at the other customers. She told her to fill out the paper work and front desk would give her a price. Dr Melissa also told her, oh and this was supposed to be my last patient today because I was supposed leave after her, but I guess I can see you after her. Lady at the front desk told her it would be $129 and then asked her, "Can you do that?" My daughter said yes, but I don't want to spend that. Point!!! She has the money, she felt like she was spoke to like she was a dumb teenager that didn't know anything. My daughter has Noonan Syndrome, she is 32 and 4' 11". She just got off work and didn't have any make up on. So, my daughter may have looked young to them, but they made her feel stupid. NOW.....she called America's Best in Georgetown (she goes to America's Best in Tyler), they wanted to get her in that day but she lives an hour from there and it was already late in the afternoon. I went with her. Guess what?! She has a scratch in that eye. The eye dr was so sweet. They were also shocked to hear how she was treated at 20/20 Express. The eye dr was so thorough, he is referring her to a specialist as he believes she has Glaucoma. That is common with people with Noonan Syndrome. Thankfully!!!!!! Someone chose to be nice and caring to her, had she not got this SCRATCH in her EYE checked, so what is going on behind her right eye he saw would not have been checked. Here is the thing, my daughter doesn't mind spending $129, America's Best was only $75, but that wasn't the point, she called me so upset how she was treated by 20/20 Express. We will never go back to 20/20, it's worth driving an hour to get good, thorough professional eye care. The entire Hulse Family!

I was told because my frames were not purchased at Wal-mart there was nothing they could do. I have been in this store multiple times and had no issues finding frames that would fit my lenses. No one even offered to help me look for an option or even remotely tried to help me, they just turned me away. This was extremely rude. I have had my lenses switched into frames before and my previous frames did not come from Wal-mart. I know that there would have been options to put my lenses into frames and no one wanted to even attempt to help me. This was very disheartening and made me feel like my business did not matter at all. It was very unfair that they could not even attempt to find frames that would work for my lenses. I know one hundred percent that they have multiple cat eye frames that would have worked for me, as they have previously done it before me in the past. I do not recommend getting eyeglasses from here unless you have absolutely no options left. This was quite the emergency seeing as I have a child I need to take places on a daily basis and cannot drive properly with broken glasses that fall off my face. I only went here because I was sure they would be willing to help and that clearly was not the case.

I won't to revise my previous review. I went back to Walmart and it was about 20 minutes before…read morethey opened but the lady named Angie let me in and filed my warranty for me. Unlike the other two ladies mentioned in my first review she was very friendly and helpful. She explained to me that my lenses have an anti glare that scratches easily if cleaned dry. Something the original sales associate had neglected to tell me. Good employees these days are hard to come by, she is one of them and deserves to be recognized.

My insurance covers a yearly eye exam but the optometrist charged me a medical copay and did a poor exam. The exam was no where in line with a medical exam, it was a typical exam done at any optometrist. Now I can't see out of my glasses and they are not doing anything to help rectify the situation. I spent over $300 there. You would think with covid running rampant they would give some allowances to their customers. Nope!!

You don't catch the flu from a phone call, someone COULD have called to confirm, but that would have been proactive.....when I finally did talk with someone, they needed to confirm my insurance, they could not find my coverage, and I would need to pay if they couldn't find my info. Again, someone could have been proactive during the 6 week wait and called, but I was the only one calling! I don't want someone to examine my eyes that can't even pick up the phone and do a little customer service. Several months ago I had scratched my eye and needed an emergency appointment. Again, I left a message and they could not return a phone call. I went to Dr. Poole, an amazing thing happened, a wonderful exam with follow up phone call to check on my well being.
