I ordered a second pair of glasses from a prescription that was less than a month old. I explained to the worker that with the second pair glasses that reading was very blurry. She said the prescription that I turned in was correct on the glasses and that I probably needed a new prescription. She insisted that I was mistaken. The first pair of glasses that I have from the same prescription is fine but from another vision store. She told me that I need to move my head around until I found a spot that was clear for reading. I have been wearing glasses for over 30 years I have never had this problem and I know when there is something wrong. I am not a person to cause a scene so I left after trying to convince her that It was something wrong and she was determined that she was right. With insurance I paid about $300.00 for a pair glasses that I can wear only if I don't need to read anything. I will never shop at Visionworks again. She said I chose not to add the expanded bifocal at the bottom (which I did not even know was a choice because everything was in the prescription) and showed me a space the size of half the tip of my fingernail that I need to focus on for reading. I've never heard of that before. I am not satisfied and felt very humiliated with others standing around listening to the conversation. For me the rating is less that the lowest one available. It seems that it did not matter as long as she felt they had done their part and nothing else can be done. read more

We have been coming here years. This place does not respect insurance prices and will overcharge every single time. Even if you present the benefits to the representative in the store and show them that you have a low copay for your vision insurance that they claim to accept. They will still overcharge you. They give very vague excuses and explanations. Also, in addition to delaying our daughter's glasses for pick up, there was poor workmanship quality. When cleaning the lens, it actually popped out of the frame. Going downhill in all areas, including service, product selection, workmanship, wait times, and pricing.. I've now had my glasses for about ten weeks and I have had to go in to have them adjusted twice so that they stay on my face. I now live an hour away from a Visionworks location and am fighting with my frames on a daily basis. If I don't go have them readjusted to fit my face every four weeks or so, they slide off of my nose every time I look even slightly downwards. If the lenses had been added to the frames without wrenching the arms apart as far as they can go, this would not be an issue. And I know this because this is the second pair of this exact frame that I've had. This business took my frames in perfect working order, shipped them to their facility to get lenses and gave them back to me in a completely different shape. One that wouldn't even fit my boyfriend's face and he's basically two of me. I wish I could go back in time and take my business anywhere else. Oh, and both times I took them to be adjusted, I was told that even having them adjusted won't fix them forever, "they'll always go back to the size they were stretched to. I went in needing satiety prescribed lenses for my glasses and because I didn't buy the glasses from vision works they couldn't help me due to "safety" reasons. It shows that they try and give you no other option but to buy a new pair and buy the necessity you need on the pair. What a joke of a company. read more

Way overpriced even with their specials, buy one get one free , 40% off etc. Customer service is somewhat decent but needs improvement. When I went to pick up my eyeglasses the employee working stated he was the only person working the floor so there would be a wait. That's totally understandable. And yes there were a few customers in the store. As I sat there waiting I notice two other employees come out of another room. When the only employee working the floor was able to accommodate me I gave him my name and let him know I was picking up my new eyeglasses. When he brought them out front they had a white powdery residue on them. This is where the customer service needs improvement. After he cleaned them off he handed me the eyeglasses. I tried them on and looked in the mirror. They looked fine. He never had me sit down to see if they fit correctly or anything else. Just handed me some flimsy pleather looking case and sent me on my way. That was on Monday Jan. 23. Today Sunday the 29th. My partner picked up his eyeglasses and got the service you would expect to get when picking up a new pair of eyeglasses. He was sat down, the glasses were thoroughly cleaned, suggestions were made on how to get used to the glasses. The glasses were adjusted to fit and also given a sturdy case to put the glasses in. And my pair were the more expensive pair. We got the buy one get one free offer. Oh and if you go in to try on frames, don't be shocked when you see that most every frame in the store has smudged lenses. It's as if no one ever cleans them. read more

The staff is very friendly and always pleasant so I gave them one star. I ordered two pairs of glasses last year and only one pair is decent. I've usually ordered them at Walmart but I got a better discount with my insurance through vision works so wanted to try them out. I found two pairs I liked and they were made the same day which was great. One of the pairs always gives me ear pain and falls off my face constantly. The other the other just loosens constantly but no pain. I paid almost $500 for glasses I hate. They have resized them multiple times but it's a hassle to drive out of my way every couple months. With the new covid policies it takes 30 mins to just get in the door. I have dealt with them a year and have a new prescription so I went back to Walmart. The optician told me the glasses should be fitting completely different! The arm and bridge length is so off. I'm upset that vision works didn't figure this out all the times I went in. They would just adjust them and send me on my way. I had to buy a lot contacts since I can't wear my glasses very long without getting the feeling to smash them because I was tired of them falling into trash cans or a sink. I feel like they should have found the right sizes when I ordered my glasses since it's a company known for upscale brands and quality. read more

Edward took us through the frame selection, fitting, options & pricing process. He also set reasonable delivery and dispensing expectations.
